As soon as I took the hair out of the box, the ends seemed really tough and frizzy, to the point where the comb gets stuck. Because the quality is so poor, I ensure extremely gentle combing but somehow one of the tracks has already broken within the first 1-2 weeks. The **** are that once you tint the lace/add makeup and cut your baby hairs, the hairline blends really week and looks realistic. If you’re more of an expert at tailoring your own wigs then this isn’t too bad, but you won’t be able to wear it for too long because of the quality. Very pleased with the quality of the wig especially for the price $25. I usually buy preplucked lacefronts at around $60 and so this is a great beautiful wig for learning customizing even though it doesn’t need tons but if your a novice at that like me. It’s very light weight on my head. The density and hair thickness are perfect for believeable daily wear. Now it’s synthetic shiny so it definitely needs dry shampoo. Optional foundation for the hairline and optional plucking but the hairline looks pretty darn good without it so that’s just to up it a notch to believability. I’ve enclosed pics straight from out of the box to display OP430 in natural lighting. I bought 4 packs of black and 1 pack of the deep wine, but since I have my sides and back shaved then of course I have plenty of locs left over (and I'm glad that I do). Usually I'll do my faux locs myself by starting with Senegalese twists then by rapping them which, of course, would take forever so this was my first using crochet locs. They are definitely springy, but beware because if they get tugged at the ends on accident then they will just hang and not spring back. I already had to cut some ends because of such actions. Also, I noticed some were not made as well as others, so make sure you get an extra pack. Some were "puffy" so my hair isn't hiding as well as it should be (I did individual crocheting). I do love the look though but removed a star based of said flaws. I took another star off because the website was being glitchy. I used the website via my phone and when trying to add stuff other than the locs, my whole cart would be emptied. It did this several times, so I just gave up and only purchased the locs. When I went to purchase the locs, the total jumped by $1, which is no big deal because it was just a dollar but the fact that it jumped like that concerned me. But at the end of the day, I would recommend and use this hair again. It did get frizzy and snaggy the second day but nothing major yet. Also, I noticed the deep wine holds up better than the black. The only way this wig could be any better was if it just lasted a tad longer and if the curl pattern never fell. It looks more realistic as the curls fall, but it dries at the ends and will eventually need to be straightened, perhaps trimmed or cut and then converted to bun or workout hair. In the meantime though, you get MAD compliments – many people don't even realize its not my bio hair. I wear it regularly in 1B and recently switched to OP61327 (613 Platinum blonde ombre with 1B roots and strategically placed 27 and/or 30 for dimension and shine). I absolutely love it – I'm a whole different person. Only thing that Freetress could offer any better was if this colour came in Karissa's length and density. I recently had extreme hair loss due to alopecia and needed to purchase a wig. I have never had to do anything like this and didn't know where to start. After looking through SEVERAL websites and styles of wigs I chose Always. It came in promptly, less than a week. It was beautiful right out the box. I wanted looser curls so I combed it out and it looked wonderful! Day 1, I wore it for maybe 4 hours out running errands. When I got home the ends were SO matted and tangled. The ends of the wig look like damaged hair, frizzy and crinkled. I have not used any heat and I have not washed it yet. I've worn it out twice and it looks terrible. I did buy the synthetic hair care package and been applying the products as directed. After purchasing this wig I now know what not to get and what to look for in a wig. I have purchased several wigs from Vogue over the past few years, and I've bought more than one of this style. The texture and quality make it my very favorite! It is unbelievably realistic with the look and feel of real hair, whether you wear it straight or curly. I always trim bangs on mine and typically trim off some of the length for a little more layered look. The highlighting is so natural that I've had several people ask me who does my hair! I wear this almost every day and regular washing helps keep it soft and reduces fraying on the ends. I've also found that using a curling iron or flat iron will also help with some of the fraying on the ends. This wig also has a very natural monofilament top which allows the hair to lay very nicely no matter how you part it. The best feature of this wig is the texture of the hair, which allows you style it as you would your own. It's amazingly natural looking, soft, and beautiful!

I ordered this to see twigs in concert last fall, and she loved it! 🥺❤️ The edges were a bit tricky to lay as they are sparse but people that are more experienced with synthetic lace could probably work around that. The color is absolutely gorgeous as are the curls. It is prone to tangling around the nape, but I used a Denman to detangle and recurled to bring her back. Ordering another copper and also jade.Paper

This is a lovely wig. I love that it's thinner and hand tied. I'm not a fan of the ear to ear lace. It tends to stick up around the ear tabs and you can see it. I've tried glue but it just cakes up on the lace and doesn't work anyway. I wish I had gotten the regular julianne with velvet ear tabs. I am so glad I tried the light version in the julianne before paying a ridiculous amount of money for the carrie light and realizing the lace ear tabs are terrible. If you have hair thinning or loss anywhere in the front, this will not work for you as you'll be pulling on those vulnerable hairs if you have any, yet it won't be enough to hold the piece in place safely, nor can you use adhesive on thinning hairs. Obviously the 3 front clips won't be of use if you have no hair in front; aybe you could remove all the clips and use adhesive instead if you have no hair. For me, with thinning hair, this was unworkable. I was excited about this item, but was left disappointed. Trying to be fair to the store, I kept the items (I bought two) rather than ask for another return. I shouldn't have kept them.Gerri
I have bought several regular January's in the past, and have always thought they had too much permatease, but would repurchase it because it is closest to the style and color I am looking for. This was my first January Hand Tied. I am pleased to say that it is exactly what I was hoping for. The best part is that there is NO permatease, which had always made it too hot to wear in the summer, and now I don't have to worry about wefts showing since there are none. The lace front on mine is fantastic in the color 14/25 – the highlighting and knotting is the best it's ever been. It is much less tiger-striped looking than it had been about 5 years ago. The hand tied January also has less density than regular January, so I only thinned it slightly in spots compared to my major thinning of regular January. Both versions of January tend to be less shiny than the straight versions of synthetics, which is a plus for me. The Jon Renau regular synthetic fibers last longer than the other brands I have tried as well.Brahm

Beautiful wig in GL14/22SS. This blonde shade is perfect for my natural brunette skin tone (light to medium neutral leaning toward warm). It's not too warm, nor is it too cool, and it doesn't wash me out. I discovered Gabor recently and love the hairline and softly shaded roots of the shaded shades. The hair is soft and fine. This is a cute, lightweight pixie. She's my first experience with a lace front wig, which I find to be a little scratchy but very realistic-looking. The wig has significant permatease, but I can very easily smooth her down somewhat using just my fingers – I imagine I could get her even flatter with a good styling creme. Alternatively, if you want to spike her up, she'll go pretty high with a good shake and some teasing. I also appreciate that the bangs aren't super-long and I don't need to trim them. Although I've never tried Raquel Welch's "Winner," Serving Style seems similar to the basic (non-Elite) version of that wig, with the addition of a lace front for off-the-face styling versatility. I purchased this wig in the honey pecan. I’m a natural dark brunette plus size 23 inch head and this average fit me just fine. The cap is comfortable, natural, soft, and has a nice stretch. Rooting and highlighting is very natural spot on. To keep it out of my eyes, I just use a little clip which makes it look even cuter to put it back. This is a great wig if you want hair to stay out of your face in the summer when it’s hot or while you are busy doing things. I haven’t tried the sweet talk luxury but this one feels so nice I wouldn’t even be inclined to try unless it’s just for fun. Perfect color if you’re a brunette and you want to start going lighter and have it look natural. Will put a review on YouTube under “it’s a wonderful wig” since I love this so much.
