Bought this piece because of the reviews online. They were pretty spot on so far. The curls are very bouncy, pretty, and full. I have only worn her once and received lots of compliments. My only qualm is the amount of hair. I had to do a little thinning before I felt it looked good. But even though there is a lot of hair, the piece is very light weight which has been true to other reviews. I don't use the combs but it has ample head room, big head friendly; and comes with a long comb up front and a smaller one in back along with two adjustable straps, pretty standard these days. I didn't do much fluffing of the curls because one that I cut out, I pulled it loose and separated it. The bouncy curl really pulled out to a loose wave. I won't mind that after a few more wears. The color was spot on to my hair color. I bought a #2. After wearing the half wig, I wish I had gotten the full wig instead. I just think the curls, after they drop or are pulled out, will be nicer on the full wig. It was a great purchase thus far and I do recommend it especially for those that have the creativity to do many styles with a half wig. I actually purchased some #2 braid hair, braided a long section, then used it as a braided head band over the front of the piece. Hopefully I can get some good, long wear out of is but that is TBD. Well, I finally learned my lesson. I cannot purchase clearance items any longer since every time I have, there has been something either wrong with the wig (manufacturing) or something I didn't like and there are no returns. There wasn't anything wrong with this piece. She just had way too much hair and the fibers were so dry they were like straw. It is a beautiful warm color but the density, the permatease and the dry fibers made this difficult to pull off. I thinned it out and tried to tame the permatease but it just didn't work. Plus, the fibers were like doll hair and so that was a dead giveaway. This was the third JR piece and all have pretty dry fibers. Is this normal? I am a first time buyer, trying to figure out what fits and how to wear the wigs. I ordered 3 wigs in this first order, and two of them I can adjust and work with. But "Gwen" has very short hair and it looks nothing like the pictures! I had it on my head for a few seconds and couldn't stand the very short hair with no shape at all. It looked like a hedgehog, The color is nice, but this wig is too small, too short hair for my plus size figure: Gwen Wig by Jon Renau STRAWBERRY BLONDE AND WARM PLATINUM BLONDE BLENDED & TIPPED W STRAWBERRY BLONDE NAPE (27T613F). In all fairness, I only had it on my head a few seconds and took it off right away, I didn't try to make it look better, afraid to ruin the chance for return. It might be ok for someone else, but at 62 yrs old and plus size figure, that little wig was not even funny! I filled out the return label for "Gwen" but keeping the other two, with medium length hair: "Blushing Beauty" Wig by Gabor | Mono Part GL16/27 and the "Salsa" Wig by Raquel Welch | Large Cap R14/88H Golden Wheat. Those two are a bit large and I need to learn to adjust the tabs in the back, and I also need to figure out from the videos how to "style" them with my fingers so they look good for me. This is a cute summer wig for someone who doesn't want permatese. It's low density. I got 22F16 there is not enough dimension for me but I do feel someone looking for a well made no permatese, low density piece would be very happy with it. I did have lots of thick hair & I like some poof on top.I was going to give it away but it is growing on me using dry shampoo,piece out & hair spray. Even tho it's symmetrical you can achieve a asymmetrical look with some tucking. I have noticed many reviews/comments on various pieces that I feel expectations are often unrealistic. I have found often if I think I don't like something if I change my makeup,color I'm wearing wait a few days,wear it around the house,often one I thought I would send back grows on me. Also often they just need a bit of tweaking with a small trim here & there to make it my own. I imagine very few can just take most of them out of the box with INSTANT SUCCESS !
