Absolutely love this wig. Its comfortable to wear for a long period of time, the texture is great so it'll blend in perfectly with your own natural hair. So far I haven't experienced any shedding or loss of hair and I always wash my units when I receive them and the curls bounced back to their amazing fluffy bouncy self. The wig is full so there is no gaps or nothing like that when you wear it. I got the color 1b and it blended in very well with my own hair. Gorgeous wig. Got lots of compliments on it. I love the curls on this unit. Not too big, not too small. Its an easy wig to pop on and go. Bought this piece because of the reviews online. They were pretty spot on so far. The curls are very bouncy, pretty, and full. I have only worn her once and received lots of compliments. My only qualm is the amount of hair. I had to do a little thinning before I felt it looked good. But even though there is a lot of hair, the piece is very light weight which has been true to other reviews. I don't use the combs but it has ample head room, big head friendly; and comes with a long comb up front and a smaller one in back along with two adjustable straps, pretty standard these days. I didn't do much fluffing of the curls because one that I cut out, I pulled it loose and separated it. The bouncy curl really pulled out to a loose wave. I won't mind that after a few more wears. The color was spot on to my hair color. I bought a #2. After wearing the half wig, I wish I had gotten the full wig instead. I just think the curls, after they drop or are pulled out, will be nicer on the full wig. It was a great purchase thus far and I do recommend it especially for those that have the creativity to do many styles with a half wig. I actually purchased some #2 braid hair, braided a long section, then used it as a braided head band over the front of the piece. Hopefully I can get some good, long wear out of is but that is TBD. After a hysterectomy & menopause that followed resulting in 1/4 of my hair gradually thinning and trying every supplement including PRP treatments I realized preserving the hair I had was the focus, since after 5yrs and thousands of dollars later, the hair that had thinned was not going to grow back. I work in the medical field, at an Oncology / Bone Marrow Transplant Center so the topic of wigs is something I'm very familiar with. Many of the patients I work with rave about Jon Ranau wigs so I figured I'd give that brand a try. I've purchased a couple so far to ensure I have a new backup always on hand and plan to venture into other styles & colors but so far I'm extremely pleased with the quality of the cap/top & synthetic hair, style & color and it's so easy to maintain!

The wig was already thinning in the front when I got it and I can't hide this with bio hair because the lace is too long (can't cut the lace because it is the only thing gripping the front, there are no clips). I don't recommend this piece for people with small/low foreheads, maybe if you are completely bald with no bio hair it might work for you but not if you have pale skin because the knots are very dark and the lace is tan. I tried to straighten the hair on low heat and it made a melting smell, I question if all the hair is real. The cap is also extremely itchy and the lace is not soft (because the lace grips) so it is uncomfortable when it sits on my forehead. I would need to sew in clips and then seal off the lace so it doesn't unravel when trimmed, but for $2000 I would expect this to be of better quality. I own many wigs and hair toppers, I am always disappointed in Jon Renau but I took a risk because I liked the color. The Jon Renau brand is not carried much anymore because their pieces are just not worth the price. I am just going to have to stick with Uniwigs because at least I know what to expect and they are keeping up with the trends for comfort and affordability.LS

The hair piece is nicely made and the color was spot-on. I really, really wanted to like this wig. My overall problem was the style… and was in a few of the reviews I had read prior. The front part was over bearing and so much so that it wouldn't stay out of my face…. almost like there was too much hair. While I didn't try to style the piece or trim to see if that would make a difference (didn't want to do anything in case I returned, which I did), so it's possible I could have made it work. But I just couldn't get past the front portion of the wig and all the volume; I couldn't figure out what to do with it! I am not new to hair pieces, wigs and extension pony-tails so I am aware that some effort is-or-might be necessary, etc., but it simply just looked fake on me. I only deducted 1 Star because it might have been fixable but $300.++ I didn't want to take that chance so I returned. But overall, the wig is pretty and the cap is comfy. Good luck!Susie
