I'm a little disappointed with the product. While it does file the nail, it does take a lot of time for it to be done. And it also works best for longer nails as it's hard to get close to the skin with the file. Not really suitable for toe nails that hug the tip of the toe as they grow so will need to continue to use the nail clippers for those. This would be better to use after cutting nails to smooth out any rough edges instead of using this predominately to shorten the nails of babies.Ashlee K.
This is my preferred method for trimming nails on newborns as it works so well on little fingers. Only let down is that they do mean it when they say in the manual to “remove batteries if storing for long periods”. We had one for my first son and then stored it away for ~18months before we got it out for my newest baby. It seemed to have eroded inside around the batteries and wouldn’t work anymore hence we purchased a new one. The shape of them makes them easy for adult hands to grip. The clippers them selves aren’t sharp, but you can accidentally get baby if you aren’t careful.
