I may be late to the OPI Mexico City Collection's Spring 2020 release, but at least I finally found that rad yellow creme! With my pale, pink-toned skin, finding a yellow that is saturated without leaning too dark, pastel, or neon — AND has a 3-coat (or less) formula — is a real challenge. I got my hands on this color after stumbling into an Amazon sale (the "Buy at least $20 worth of these selected items, get $5 off" kind? It was the first time I tried it out!) where a few of the OPI Mexico City colors were included. I had heard about this color for a while, and watched nail polish swatchers on YouTube include it in their side-by-side yellow polish comparisons every season, but I could never find it in-stock at a reasonable shipping rate until that sale. Score! As you can see from my photo, it's a slightly lighter yellow, but it works like a standard yellow on my fair skin when compared to darker shades. It pops in just the right way! Plus, its formula is 3 coats maximum for full opacity, which is hard to achieve with yellow polish at any price point. (Don't you hate it when a color of polish is sold as the brand's "standard primary color," only to find out it takes 4 or 5 streaky coats to achieve that color? So many polish brands do that with yellow and white, even at the salon level. No, thank you!) I have been wearing Mod About You since it was first introduced to the OPI line. It is the most gorgeous shade of pink I have ever put on my hands and toes. Every year when spring comes, it's one of the first things I buy (along with my favorite self tanner). It truly makes me happy! Based on the reviews of Rosy Future OPI nail lacquer I was excited and looking forward to receiving my new nail polish. Wow! What a shock it turned out to be. One coat looked good and I should have stopped right there. Thinking it would look even better with two coats I eagerly added a second as it was easy to apply. One coat gave a beautiful sheer iridescent shimmering look. Adding a second coat gave me neon nails that resembled fluorescent lights. I will continue to use the Rosy Future but only one coat. I am disappointed because I think a manicure with two coats of polish lasts longer. But, the look with one coat is acceptable with top coat layers. This polish is not the winner that I expected but at the same time it is not a total loss either. I would recommend the Rosy Future because of its versatility. For those who like a sheer iridescent look it’s a winner. For those who like neon nails it’s also a winner. Enjoy your new nail polish! I absolutely love this top coat. I use it over Color Street Nails, but also for my daughter when she's painting her nails. It extends my manicure to 10 days, at least (I usually get sick of the color first and take it off). Dries very quick and gives a nice shiney coat. I don't usually need to reapply. Gives it a nice gel polish look and I get a ton of compliments all the time. Makes my nails feel much stronger. Definitely recommend. I received this nail polish complimentary from Influenster in exchange for my honest opinion. I read a description of this which called it a "Barbie pink" and was immediately like "ugh great, bright pink!" I'm generally not a fan of pinks, but this one grew on me! I applied two coats of Two Timing the Zones over the OPI Natural Nail Base Coat, finishing it off with the OPI Top Coat. This polish bubbled, even after leaving 40+ minutes between coats, which was annoying! I ended up topping it with Essie's A Cut Above, which made already girly nails *even more* girly, and I actually liked it! This was again topped with another layer of the top coat. The polish chipped on my dominant hand within 3 days. Considering there's three layers on top, with the tips capped, that's pretty annoying! On my non-dominant hand, it chipped within 5. For me, it's not worth the price tag and I want far better longevity regardless of the price tag. It's around £15 in the UK, and I've got £1-2 Kiko polishes that perform better. I absolutely hate waiting for polish to dry. We all got stuff ta to you know? What's worse is waking up realizing that you've somehow smeared your polish that should have dried hours ago in your sleep. Can anyone relate? Well that was not happen with this polish. It dries so quickly that unless you're just not paying attention you can't mess it up. It goes on well too, as well as any polish I've tried and I don't buy the cheap stuff. Here's the cons. It chips easily if you do not wear gloves when doing work around the house or if you have to wash your hands a lot. It's also hard to remove. I scrub and scrub and the three kinds I have with shimmer in them, the glitter wants to hang on no matter what. Then there's the health of my nails. I'm pretty sure that this polish has made my nails peel at the tips so it's probably drying my nails. Ok so if you need a quick manicure this is the polish for you. If you hate waiting or just don't have time to wait this is the polish for you. I would recommended trying a base coat, which I am going to try soon, to see if it helps the issues I've mentioned.Brynn
This is some of the best nail polish I've tried, and I do home manis every week. The colors are on point, more unique than other brands which is one thing I love about this brand. This formula dries smooth and clear, and lasts. I wash my hands a lot and polish only lasts 2-3 days before I need a touch up, but it's easy to touch up and color blends smoothly. Best of all, it does dry quickly which is a huge selling point for me because I tend to paint my nails before bed while winding down and watching TV, and never seem to leave enough time for them to dry before I'm ready for bed! Revlon Unicornicornicopia Holochrome nail polish is beautiful. It glides on smoothly as long as enough drying time (2-3 min between coats) is given. I initially put a second coat on 45 seconds later and had some clumpiness – user mistake. To me, Unicornicornicopia looks like a shimmery (not glittery or sand-like) lavender color that – with movement and light – looks like a bluish steel (grayish) color. So the polish color takes on differing shades as it maintains shimmer. Using no base coat or top coat, I wore this enamel for four days before chipping started. I imagine that it could be worn longer without chipping if basecoat and topcoat were used. To give even more depth of color, a third coat of Unicornicornicopia is a good idea. At a retail price of $6.49 Revlon Holochrome Nail Enamel is a great value. Unicornicornicopia could be worn for fancy (holiday, proms/homecomings, weddings, tea parties, etc) or be worn casually for a little sparkle day-to-day. It is truly Unicorn Holo Shimmer Magic. I've used Revlon Nail Enamel more years than I care to admit. this has always been my "go to" polish, in shade Serene (320) for work and :play:, Once in a while I'd lighten the shade up i the summer, but always back to the favorite. No, apparently it's been discontinued and what's left around is way too expensive to even think about buying. The biggest thing I love about this polish is it didn't destroy my nails. After taking the polish off, my nails weren't dry, brittle, chipping and didn't break as much when kept polished. Tried the gel nails once, took me months to get my nails re-grown, needless to say, I went right back to a lite shade of the enamel, then back to Serene. Won't make that mistake again. Question is, what shade will work as well as that, have Totally Toffee, but it's a bit darker and I absolutely don't do pinks or weird color. Am a porcelain skinned strawberry blonde with green eyes and reds/pinks look horrible on me. Any color with a gray overtone makes my nails look like they are dead. So, unless I can talk Revlon into bringing back that particular color, anyone have any ideas on shades along that line?Gigi
This review is technically supposed to be for the shade Privileged, but I have so many of these Revlon nail polishes that I would like to talk about all the ones I own. The formulation is pretty consistent across the board. The brush is a good size- not too thick, not too thin, not too sparse. It gives me the control that I need to get a thin and even layer on, as opposed to some cheaper brushes that would result in clumping or taking away product. The only shades I would say are little sheer and need 3 coats for the most impact are 660 Divine and 909 Sheer Petal. Divine doesn't look like it from just looking at the bottle, but once applied on the nails, is a vampy brownish red. Sheer Petal is quite pale and has a delicate kind of beauty, but beware, the sheerness can exaggerate an uneven application. All the other polishes I have look pretty great in 2 coats: 570 Vixen, 450 Hypnotic, 917 Plum Seduction, 215 Daydreamer, 640 Fearless, 715 Privileged, 415 Totally Toffee, 320 Serene, 915 Creme Brulee, 020 Pure Petal, 905 Sophisticated, 410 Dreamer, 590 Trendy, 585 Bohemian, and 495 Sultry. I got this back in June from my local sallys beauty store, to paint my nails before I left for California. Never painted my nails until today. The bottle is not even 3 months old and omg it is horrible. The color is so beautiful but the application was applying like it is was a oldie. Streaks, very splotchy not at all impressed. Even with the double duty polish by sally hansen there is no saving this horrible nail polish. Air bubbles, smears so easily even though I waited 10 minutes to make sure it was dry. I bought this on sale, so I'm happy with the value. It definitely dries faster than most regular polishes, but, of course, it doesn't fully set for about a day or so. There is a bit of an unpleasant odour when applying, but that's minor. My major complaint is that they started chipping the day after I applied. They mostly lasted for like 3-4 days with minor chipping (with the addition of a quick-dry top coat, different brand). Took 3 coats for full coverage, so not great opacity, and very thick on the nail. I am very happy with the price, and love the colour Pink Blink! First off, the item I was given to try seems to be different from the item I'm left to review on here. Pictures of the actual product have been provided. Anywho, mine is a gold cream product that dries fast and actually leaves my nails shiny and cuticles moisturized like it promised! I totally wasn't expecting it to perform well, but I'm glad it did. The fast drying made it convenient for me to do my homework on my laptop. It peels off easily too. It has a fresh, floral, almost powder-like smell, but it's light and not overwhelming at all. The sponge tip allows for the cream to be buffed out which I liked because the alternative would've been to use my fingertips which would've made a mess. My cuticles have been dry and my gel nail polish on my thumb has gotten dinged up so it's lost a lot of its shine. After taking off the mask, my cuticles are moisturized with less cracks. The polish on my nail got some of its shine back without ruining the polish too which I'm stoked about. I recommend this product to touch up your cuticles and old polish. It makes for a fun little bonus to your spa day! I never knew nail masks existed, but I'm glad to know now through this free product to test.
This review is for Sally Hansen Revive Peel off Nail Mask. I’ve never used a nail mask before. The smell is a lovely coconut scent similar to the Colourpop SOL body highlighters. It smells like a coconutty sun screen and summer goodness. The applicator is very nice as well, it reminds me of Charlotte Tilbury highlighter/contour products that come out of a spongey applicator tip. The product itself is even shimmery gold like a beautiful facial cosmetic product would be, but this is just for your finger tips and nails! I do my nails entirely at home these days, and sometimes my cuticles give it away. I noticed they looked a lot more calm, flush against my fingertips/nails, like healthy hydrated cuticles should look. The only complaints: I don’t think my sample contains the hyaluronic acid it boasts elsewhere (I’ve read and reread the ingredients list of the product I was sent and compared it to the ingredients list online), and mine wouldn’t peel off very easily. The instructions say to apply a “small amount” and “thin layer” to each nail/finger tip/cuticle, but that’s too subjective. I applied too thin and it wouldn’t peel off my nail. I got better results from applying enough product to reach the gold pigmentation of the product’s opacity, then it peeled off easier. Either way, you can just rinse it off, too. I rarely write reviews but I have to say this is my absolute new favorite nail polish! I thought that it being natural would result in less durability but I was a soap wrong. Regular nail polish lasts me about a week at the most. With the Sally Hansen natural mail strengthener underneath, two coats of this polish and a quick-drying top coat from another brand, this has lasted a week and a half now and doesn’t show any sign of chipping. I'm increasingly sensitive to fragrance, and was looking for a hardener or clear polish that had less odor and is free of the key toxic chemicals). I'm so happy to have found this hardener. The product is great – it applies easily, dries fast, and lasts a long time (even through my multi-day kitchen "deep cleaning" project). Water is usually the enemy for my nails, but this stood strong. The brush is perfectly shaped for easy application, and even the brush handle is easy to hold with my non-dominant hand. I bought this product because it is plant based. I really was not expecting to perform long term as it is plant based. I bought the two pack, color and top coat at Walgreens, as there was a promotion. I have actually had this product for about two years and wanted to use a spring color, 180 Soft Plum. Wowza! It dried so fast and holds up better than many of the other high-cost products I have used. I cook and garden a lot and it just started to wear on the tips after about 1 1/2 weeks. Wow! Wow and wow! The polish had a strong smell. This smell (after painting my nails) would eventually disappear in a couple of days. Experience using it: I painted the nails on both hands, using neither a base nor top coat – two thin coats on my left hand, and two thick coats on my right hand. The bristles of the brush fanned out readily, covering my whole nail (and more, for smaller nails) in one fell swoop. Thinner coats dried fairly quickly, while thick coats took forever (45 mins!) to dry. After drying, my left hand had semi-sheer paint (this made the colour look like the pinkish taupe on the website), while my right hand had opaque paint (purplish taupe). The polish was glossy enough to make me skip putting a top coat. The polish lasted for over a week, but the polish on the sides of my nails chipped away within 3-4 days of applying the polish. That said, this only happened to the nails of fingers I use the most; the polish on my ring fingers and pinkies remained completely intact (I'm still waiting for them to show signs of wear). Even while chipping/wearing away, the polish remained perfectly smooth and pearly on my nails. I received this as a #freeproduct from Top Box to review. I have used this nail polish before and its a great polish to use. It lasts a lot longer than other nail polish brands, so you're not always having to redo your nails. Normally I wouldn't use such a light color, I prefer brighter more bold colors, but this pink was pretty on my finger nails. I do recommend using a primer color under this pink (Gossamer Garments) unless you like the sheerness of light pink. This was a cute color for my toe nails. I did find the brush to be a little big for my nail bed, which would leave a little polish on the side of my toe, but nothing a q-tip and remover can't fix! I love this color! I always love a nice deep red nail color and Elderberry was exactly what I was looking for. Ever since I tried this brand about a year ago I have thrown out my cheaper, short lasting drugstore nail polish and replaced them with different colors of Londontown. I can typically get my nail color to last a week on my fingernails whereas my old polishes would usually last 2-3 days before they started chipping badly. I am hard on my nails doing a lot of housework, dishes, washing cars, etc. but this nail polish lasts through it. It also seems to strengthen my nails when I wear it regularly. I received Invisible Crown as a gift along with Cheerio. I'm generally not a sheer polish lover. I also don't usually gravitate towards pale pink tones. I am honestly shocked at how much I love both these colors. Invisible Crown looks especially gorgeous on my nails. It drys like a high gloss gel manicure. It is so elegant and attractive and clean and fresh … I can't stop wearing it. I just keep going back for more! This company excels at sheers. Creams are a little less reliable. I'm buying the rest of the sheers so I have them all. They're THAT good. This one has more color than teatime. It's a bit more mauve/brown than pink. Same flawless coverage. 100 percent streak free with one coat. Goes on like no other polish I've used. Creamy in application, and color. Don't know how long it lasts, because I so enjoy doing it every other day 😀 Poor lighting but teatime on my middle finger, crowning crumpet on my ring finger. Clear on rest. One coat. This is some of the best nail polish I've tried, and I do home manis every week. The colors are on point, more unique than other brands which is one thing I love about this brand. This formula dries smooth and clear, and lasts. I wash my hands a lot and polish only lasts 2-3 days before I need a touch up, but it's easy to touch up and color blends smoothly. Best of all, it does dry quickly which is a huge selling point for me because I tend to paint my nails before bed while winding down and watching TV, and never seem to leave enough time for them to dry before I'm ready for bed! I was even a little hesitant on the color until I put it on. It’s a fabulous eggshell, off- white color. Perfect for any occasion or no occasion at all. The coverage was good. I did use two coats but I definitely will just use one the next time. It didn’t crack or chip until a few days later, which then I felt it was time to remove anyhow. Great product! I bought this because the box claims it makes nail polish (at least OPI nail polish) last much longer before chipping ("up to 11 days of gel-like wear and shine", actually). I work with my hands and I feel the act of painting/doing my nails is way too time consuming, so it is very important to me that my nail polish stay put and stay unchipped for as long as possible. I used this kit exactly as directed, applying multiple coats of each bottle, used my OPI brand Infinite Shine Long-Wear nail polish (the recommended nail polish to use with this kit, I used the gorgeous, sexy red shade "An Affair in Red Square"), and let dry completely. My nail polish WAS very shiny and pretty when it was done. However, in one or two days my nails were already chipping. I really hate spending half an hour to an hour (natural drying takes forever) doing my nails only to have them get messed up after one or two days at work. So I just wear my nails completely bare basically all the time. I only use nail polish and do my nails maybe once every few months. So does this nail kit make your nail polish shiny and pretty? I suppose so, even though nail polish is shiny as-is. It does make your polish look more gel-like. Does this nail kit prevent chipping for "up to 11 days"? Well I suppose TECHNICALLY yes, it was "up to" 11 days… But *I wouldn't use or recommend this kit to prevent chipping of nail polish if you work with your hands.* It simply doesn't work well for that. I have yet to find anything that will make any nail polish last longer than a day or two without chipping, while I hold a job in which I constantly use my hands. So if you want gel-like nail polish, I recommend this kit, and you should get that gel-like result with any nail polish you use with it. However, if you are looking for anti-chipping, I don't recommend this kit.kira.d
I've used OPI products since I was a little girl. It's long been a favorite nail care brand of my mother's. She went through many years where she would only wear I'm not really a waitress, I still associate that color with that ideal woman we always wanted to be when we grew up. So, when I was offered to participate in this cashback campaign, even though I had never used any of the infinite shine products, I knew I would love it. It's even better than I thought!!! Alpine Snow is an old favorite color of mine but the blue color: To Be Continued is new to me. TBC is a beautiful light baby blue that is mesmerizing! It would work in literally every season and I do think it would be beautiful on most skin tones. The OPI formula has always been a winner. I was glad to find all the shades I was looking for through the Ulta.com app but had a hiccup with customer service I had never encountered before that got me a little ruffled. It was quickly shipped but with excessively poor packing that damaged the chrome paint on the bottles. Which I am fortunate was the only issue cause the way they packed it could easily have broken everything in it. To which I wrote CS and they did not seem to care. So I expect nothing will change. I am not real happy with the downside I have seen shipping and handling customer care from Ulta lately. Onto the actual polish. It’s a lovely shade of light pink with no nude/ brown town to it. Just above ballet slipper. Though it looked a little more watery than I prefer, it did not run at all and I had good control with each layer. I tried a thin on and a thicker one to check coverage. You can get good coverage with one layer done thickly. If that is your preference. Dry time isn’t to long, either. By the time you get through coat one, you may be ready to do coat two. I liked the color and how easy it was to take off. It really felt safe to use on my nails and it made me realize how chemically other polishes feel. The one thing I would say is that it didn’t paint on very smoothly/evenly very easily. The color is great – a clean opaque neutral that is not at all dull or muddy looking. Really a fantastic color, at least on my relatively fair skin. The formula, though, is so odd I wonder if I just got an off bottle. It's thick and gloppy – almost like painting nails with Elmer's glue – nearly impossible to apply. I tried it with 2 different clear bases and on bare nails, just to make sure it was the polish. It's the polish. I really like to make my own manicures and pedicures. I have all kind of nail polishes which I buy in drug stores and on-line. Even have my own UV-lamp and used to do shellac and gelish at home. I love the way gel-polish shines on your nails, but it is really hard to remove this polish afterwards. So, I was looking for a product that would make my nails shiny and thick, but will remove within seconds with regular nail-polish remover. China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat is this one product you need to make your nails look salon-quality worthy. I use other brands for the base coat and color, but I always put China Glaze on top of it. This polish dries out within a minute and makes your nails nail-hard. And the sine you get…lets just say, when I came to manicure place to get my nails done (I still do it sometimes), the lady took out machine to remove my gel because she could not believe regular nail polish can look so shiny. And it was 5 days old manicure! People always give me compliments on the way my nail polish look like, and I always tell them, that my only secret is the the top coat I use. What is more, this polish does not tend to dry out in the bottle. I agree with another reviewer about the color. Mine is definitely a hot coral. And it went on in a matte finish…not shiny at all. So what's up with that? Thankfully I have a very shiny long lasting top coat which brought back the shine. So what is it supposed to be? Pink or coral? Shiny or matte?? Either this was mislabeled, I got one from a bad batch, or it was reformulated because what I received is hot coral, not at all pink as pictured. Even when I googled for swatches prior to ordering it looked like it was supposed to be a lovely hot pink neon. But even accounting for lighting/device display differences this is way on the orange spectrum, so I am very disappointed. The polish itself is fine formula wise, but if the pigments being used change, China Glaze should be updating their site pics.Reviewer

This gel polish system creates manicures that last for 2 weeks or longer. I recommend applying the top coat every 5 to 7 days because it extends the wear time of each manicure significantly. Ensure you clean the nail surface with rubbing alcohol before applying an addition layer of top coat. This nail polish has a high shine glossy finish. This gel polish comes in a wide variety of colours. I apply 2 coats of nail polish to create opaque colour with most shades. The very light colours, like the off white shades, require 3 coats to create opaque colour. I like to mix my polishes to create new colours. Be sure to completely clean your nails with nail polish remover before applying this nail polish. This ensures it adheres to the nail, which extends the wear time. I was looking for a muted, nude kind of shade with a cream finish and I stumbled across Know the Espa-Drille and, let me tell you, it is the best nail polish I have ever had. It dries quite fast, last decently (2 days with my constant hand washing and the fact that I am allergic to acrylate – hence no gels for me). I also have a quite pale complection, but with warm undertones, and I wear a lot of beige tones. This colour matches everything perfectly. Only issue is that I only bought one bottle, and then another one when I finished the first. But I didn't think of stocking up and now it is discontinued and impossible to be found. It would be so nice if this colour could be in the permanent collections :'(Cecilia
