My first time trying out the Sally Hansen Hard as Nails regular polish I was skeptical. For a price point of less than two dollars I figured it'd be more of an emergency polish. In reality it holds up quite well (I've been wearing the shade 570: Cemented for a few days now). What keeps me from a full 5 stars is the amount of time it takes to dry but so long as you're patient I don't see why you can't enjoy this line of nail color! Can't wait to pick up more.ileana.m
Another excellent colour and formula in this polish. I have the “Molten My Day” which is more of a Dark Pink than a Hot Pink as described. It is definitely a Holographic formula as it shifts from pink, gold, and a beautiful deep orange-gold that looks amazing on my toes and will likely be difficult to take your eyes off of when worn on your fingernails. This colour will look perfect with a summer tan and will also easily transition into fall/winter, which is why I chose this one over the others to try first. As usual, the formula is pretty much opaque with one coat but I find the effect enhances when worn with two coats. It is VERY quick to dry so two coats shouldn’t take any longer than other brands that are more difficult to apply. Nails Inc uses the best brush/applicator I’ve ever tried and completely covers your whole nail in one-two swipes with little going outside of the nail bed since the brush actually “hugs” the nail. The formula NEVER bubbles or streaks and seems to cover nail imperfections easily. Since I’ve been using this brand exclusively for the past 6 months or so (with their NailKale Superfood Base coat, Kensington Caviar 45 Second Top Coat and their Superfood Repair Oil 2-3 times a week on cuticles and fingertips) my nails have stopped cracking, peeling and breaking and have now become very hard and healthydaviana.e
This nail polish is really easy to use and the price is very good for the amount you get. It makes my nails feel really nice and strong after applying. It dries fairly quickly. It is quite durable and doesn’t chip to easily usually. They have so many colours to choose from I really like it. It's my own fault. I keep buying Sally Hansen products and 90% of the time, they disappoint me. This one is my biggest mistake. Like other reviewers have said, The Moonstone color looks much more appealing in the bottle. When I paint my nail, it's so thin and barely shows. I have to do three coats just to see anything. Unfortunately, it looks and feels like those cheap nail polishes meant for children. I figured it could be used as a cute top coat since it's so clear, but it goes on clumpy and somehow there's tiny air bubbles? The only positive is that it does dry within 60 seconds. I got this back in June from my local sallys beauty store, to paint my nails before I left for California. Never painted my nails until today. The bottle is not even 3 months old and omg it is horrible. The color is so beautiful but the application was applying like it is was a oldie. Streaks, very splotchy not at all impressed. Even with the double duty polish by sally hansen there is no saving this horrible nail polish. Air bubbles, smears so easily even though I waited 10 minutes to make sure it was dry. It’s possible I got a bad batch, but my experience with this polish was terrible. I got the ‘My Ca-Banana’ colour. The first time I used it, I couldn’t get it to go on my nails evenly at all, it was extremely streaky and formed clumps that wouldn’t smooth out. I kept trying and ended up needing to do three and a half coats to get it opaque. I let each coat dry in front of a fan on high for 10 minutes, and 20 minutes after I had finished, I bumped my toe into the corner of a table and the polish came right off of that nail in one clump. I initially chocked this up to me not having painted my own nails in a very long time and maybe just doing too many coats so I took it all off and tried again.
I did two thin coats, drying for 10 minutes between, over 40 hours ago now and I can /still/ press my fingernail into it and leave an obvious dent. It was tacky up until about 24 hours after applying. Dont bother with this nail polish, any other cheap nail polish would be better.Onyx Cave

Wow! Finally a kid-friendly nail Polish that actually goes on nicely and LASTS!! The colors are beautifully vibrant and I love that they all have a nice shimmer/sparkle to them. I used the top/base coat on my two kids (4 and 6 year olds) then alternated with the purple, green, and pink colors to their liking for both nails and toes. I really appreciate that that it doesn’t smell like chemicals! I don’t have to worry about my kids inhaling the fumes or putting their hands in their mouths (one of them likes to bite her nails). I loved the saturated color and it lasted for 2 weeks on my toes without chipping. I did experience some chipping on my fingernails after 5 days. I used Sally Hansen base and top coat with both toes and fingers. I usually use a soy based polish remover for removal all my polishes ((usually Sally Hansen, Opi and Essie). However, the polish wouldn’t come off with the soy polish remover. Luckily I had some acetone remover and was able to use that. Even with the acetone remover, it took me an hour to get the polish off my fingers! I didn’t bother trying to remove the polish off my toes. I went to a nail salon and they had to soak off the polish with acetone remover and file off the remnants of polish. They asked me if I was wearing gel polish. I had to show them the bottle. I won’t use this polish again. I get the same staying power with my regular polishes with the headache of removal.LadyCG

The nail polish is nice. applies easily and dries a bit faster than other brands. during the first few hours it'll get scratches or texture until it's 100% set. (it was completely dry when I went to sleep, passed the fingerprint test, but had random scratches the next morning). after it dried it became seemingly indestructible. I work in a warehouse, I use tools and have my hands in machines all day and it didn't chip at all. (I used 3 coats) however i had another shade that chipped and budged just from washing dishes and playing with a one year old. in any other case I'd say its way too expensive to risk getting a shade that has a 50/50 chance of chipping easily, but target has a good return policyM
I purchased both the 'bolt and be bold' and 'dial it up' 2 weeks ago. Finally had time to paint my toe nails and I'm pretty disappointed in the quality. First, both brushes are put on unevenly, and it either collects too much polish or not enough. The first swipe and it was all over the place. I'm not a professional nail artist, but I'm not a newbie. I’m reviewing this year’s 2021 summer collection and it’s pretty fantastic!!! They have some really on point colors- like a basic, vibrant blue, orange and green. Im not super wild about the yellow; it is a bit muted compared to the other colors. The pink has a pearlescence which isn’t what I prefer but it’s nonetheless beautiful. MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE IS “GET YOUR GROOVE ON”!!! It has the most unbelievably gorgeous gold shimmer. It is opaque and slightly more on the yellow side. I looks so rad again my melanin-blessed skin!! This version of Sally Hansen is a long lasting and fast drying that do not chip, in my experience. The flat rectangular brush allows me to better apply the nail polish with little to no mess which is a plus for me! Why? Because I am terrible at painting my nails with the regular brushes. I have been using this shade of nail polish (on my toenails) for years, and I hope Sally Hansen never stops making it. In clothing, I wear a lot of black with blues, greens, purples and pinks, but I occasionally wear brown and orange tones. This nail polish looks great with any of these colors. This is my first Target review which I had to write because this nail color is so rich, dries quickly, has a gel-like finish, lasts for days, and best of all: your nails are truly in better shape when you remove it. Prior to reading about the color "rosy quartz" on an obscure blog I always bought high end nail polishes and was skeptical of SH color. And, it didn't stain my nails like other reds do. I can remove it all with one pad unlike other polishes. The fine ridges have disappeared and I no longer have to buff prior to polishing. They have a nice look to them even after I take off the polish, almost like they've been heavily moisturized! And they are so strong I catch myself doing things with them I should like opening cans, etc, with zero breakage. The pros: streak and bubble free, easy to apply. \n\nCons: my color does not appear the same as advertised and isn't holographic.\n\nI've been buying many of the ilnp colors because they are just so beautiful. This color *is* pretty, don't get me wrong. I'm not sure if I got a wonky batch or what but it doesn't look like the pictures. Mine is a very flat almost seafoam green. The Perfect Formula ruby pink nail treatment worked very well for me. I just wanted a healthy shine that was almost transparent. That is what I got! This ruby pink color is all I plan to use unless there is a special occasion. I feel it wil work well as a base coat in that situation. I am very impressed by how easy the color is to apply. The price seemed questionable, but Im comfortable with the cost given how little is needed each time, and how fast it goes on and dries. Last thought, ruby pink color perfect for healthy shine. I have re-purchased this product more than I can remember. It really is the only thing that keeps my nails strong and healthy. I also love that it give the appearance of a natural french manicure without the tacky pink/with stark white tips. Nail beds look healthy and tips look white (not discolored). I have tried other very popular drug store hardeners as well as less l known indie brands and nothing compares. Side note, you must use this regularly or it thickens and becomes unusable imo. Okay, this color is the CUTEST color of them all. This polish is thick and very pigmented rather than the regular essie nail polishes. This one strengthens your nails super well too! I had acrylics for 2 weeks then took them off and my nail beds were thin and very bad (dry/brittle) but after I used this nail polish for a week and after taking the polish off my nails were thicker and also hydrated!! When I took my old nail polish off this week my nails were peeling, which has never happened to me before. I sought out this product after trying 2 different brands “repairing” polish that were pretty terrible. At the store, there were two bottles labeled Minimally Modest but they were noticeably different, even after I shook them. I chose the one that was more pink vs. peach. I applied two coats and it looked pretty at first, but in daylight it’s really streaky. I think the streaks would be filled with three coats but the color would have been too light and opaque for a sheer polish. I had been curious about this product for a while, and when I found it marked down from it's original $10 price tag, I figured I'd give it a go. It's supposed to help dry, brittle nails in a week's time. I'm not sure about that. Essie has never been a brand that performs like a champ for me. It's okay, but I've always had better results from cheaper brands like Sinful Colors or comparable brands (price-wise) like Orly or OPI. Essie has come to be a brand that will get my attention, but I'll be looking at Sinful Colors, Orly and OPI first, and then I'll see what Essie has to offer. I like that this is a base coat that can be worn alone and it's supposed to have brightening pigments, kind of like a BB cream, but for nails. As something akin to a BB cream, it's pretty good. Just one coat and my nails look brighter and a bit healthier. Two coats, and even more so. With the second coat, the pearliness comes out and in some lighting my nails look a bit like the inside of a seashell, for what that's worth. It's subtle, though, so I like it for low-key polish.The contents are faintly lavender with a tiny hint of pearl to them, doing a nice job of concealing yellowing due to wearing nail polish most of the time. It actually makes a better difference on my nails than some other pale/sheer/pearl nail polishes, and it is a much nicer result than some other brands' sheer tinted polishes which I've tried in years past. This is basically what I was hoping for in a sheer, tinted product, so I'm very pleased with it. I don't even care if it strengthens my nails or makes them less brittle (it would be a nice occurrence, however, if it did) but I like that this makes my naked nails look nicer and I can easily apply one coat in a hurry for prettier nails on the fly. (Dry time is okay; it's pretty speedy for a single coat, but a second coat stays a bit tacky for slightly longer than I'd like.) Since it's a basecoat, I know it will at least make my nails somewhat less likely to chip. But for the prettier, brighter nails I get after applying this, I love it enough that I'd consider repurchasing. At full price, no less.darling87

Revlon Unicornicornicopia Holochrome nail polish is beautiful. It glides on smoothly as long as enough drying time (2-3 min between coats) is given. I initially put a second coat on 45 seconds later and had some clumpiness – user mistake. To me, Unicornicornicopia looks like a shimmery (not glittery or sand-like) lavender color that – with movement and light – looks like a bluish steel (grayish) color. So the polish color takes on differing shades as it maintains shimmer. Using no base coat or top coat, I wore this enamel for four days before chipping started. I imagine that it could be worn longer without chipping if basecoat and topcoat were used. To give even more depth of color, a third coat of Unicornicornicopia is a good idea. At a retail price of $6.49 Revlon Holochrome Nail Enamel is a great value. Unicornicornicopia could be worn for fancy (holiday, proms/homecomings, weddings, tea parties, etc) or be worn casually for a little sparkle day-to-day. It is truly Unicorn Holo Shimmer Magic. I've used Revlon Nail Enamel more years than I care to admit. this has always been my "go to" polish, in shade Serene (320) for work and :play:, Once in a while I'd lighten the shade up i the summer, but always back to the favorite. No, apparently it's been discontinued and what's left around is way too expensive to even think about buying. The biggest thing I love about this polish is it didn't destroy my nails. After taking the polish off, my nails weren't dry, brittle, chipping and didn't break as much when kept polished. Tried the gel nails once, took me months to get my nails re-grown, needless to say, I went right back to a lite shade of the enamel, then back to Serene. Won't make that mistake again. Question is, what shade will work as well as that, have Totally Toffee, but it's a bit darker and I absolutely don't do pinks or weird color. Am a porcelain skinned strawberry blonde with green eyes and reds/pinks look horrible on me. Any color with a gray overtone makes my nails look like they are dead. So, unless I can talk Revlon into bringing back that particular color, anyone have any ideas on shades along that line?Gigi
This review is technically supposed to be for the shade Privileged, but I have so many of these Revlon nail polishes that I would like to talk about all the ones I own. The formulation is pretty consistent across the board. The brush is a good size- not too thick, not too thin, not too sparse. It gives me the control that I need to get a thin and even layer on, as opposed to some cheaper brushes that would result in clumping or taking away product. The only shades I would say are little sheer and need 3 coats for the most impact are 660 Divine and 909 Sheer Petal. Divine doesn't look like it from just looking at the bottle, but once applied on the nails, is a vampy brownish red. Sheer Petal is quite pale and has a delicate kind of beauty, but beware, the sheerness can exaggerate an uneven application. All the other polishes I have look pretty great in 2 coats: 570 Vixen, 450 Hypnotic, 917 Plum Seduction, 215 Daydreamer, 640 Fearless, 715 Privileged, 415 Totally Toffee, 320 Serene, 915 Creme Brulee, 020 Pure Petal, 905 Sophisticated, 410 Dreamer, 590 Trendy, 585 Bohemian, and 495 Sultry. I absolutely hate waiting for polish to dry. We all got stuff ta to you know? What's worse is waking up realizing that you've somehow smeared your polish that should have dried hours ago in your sleep. Can anyone relate? Well that was not happen with this polish. It dries so quickly that unless you're just not paying attention you can't mess it up. It goes on well too, as well as any polish I've tried and I don't buy the cheap stuff. Here's the cons. It chips easily if you do not wear gloves when doing work around the house or if you have to wash your hands a lot. It's also hard to remove. I scrub and scrub and the three kinds I have with shimmer in them, the glitter wants to hang on no matter what. Then there's the health of my nails. I'm pretty sure that this polish has made my nails peel at the tips so it's probably drying my nails. Ok so if you need a quick manicure this is the polish for you. If you hate waiting or just don't have time to wait this is the polish for you. I would recommended trying a base coat, which I am going to try soon, to see if it helps the issues I've mentioned.Brynn
This is some of the best nail polish I've tried, and I do home manis every week. The colors are on point, more unique than other brands which is one thing I love about this brand. This formula dries smooth and clear, and lasts. I wash my hands a lot and polish only lasts 2-3 days before I need a touch up, but it's easy to touch up and color blends smoothly. Best of all, it does dry quickly which is a huge selling point for me because I tend to paint my nails before bed while winding down and watching TV, and never seem to leave enough time for them to dry before I'm ready for bed! Two thin coats of this polish dry completely for me in 10-15 minutes. I love Essie! It's my favorite brand of polish by far.amy

This was my first time trying Essie and I am extremely impressed. It's quick dry in about a minute meaning I can do right before bed and it's not wrecked in the morning. I was also impressed with my application because normally I 'colour outside the lines' lol. But it wasn't me- it's their first ever angled brush that makes applying with your non-dominant hand a breeze. It also has amazing staying power- one coat lasted over 10 days. This vegan formula is made without formaldehyde, toluene and a bunch of other chemicals or animal derived ingredients. My only very small complaint is that you need 2-3 coats or you can see through to your nails but since it's quick dry, it's not really a big deal. I bought this because the box claims it makes nail polish (at least OPI nail polish) last much longer before chipping ("up to 11 days of gel-like wear and shine", actually). I work with my hands and I feel the act of painting/doing my nails is way too time consuming, so it is very important to me that my nail polish stay put and stay unchipped for as long as possible. I used this kit exactly as directed, applying multiple coats of each bottle, used my OPI brand Infinite Shine Long-Wear nail polish (the recommended nail polish to use with this kit, I used the gorgeous, sexy red shade "An Affair in Red Square"), and let dry completely. My nail polish WAS very shiny and pretty when it was done. However, in one or two days my nails were already chipping. I really hate spending half an hour to an hour (natural drying takes forever) doing my nails only to have them get messed up after one or two days at work. So I just wear my nails completely bare basically all the time. I only use nail polish and do my nails maybe once every few months. So does this nail kit make your nail polish shiny and pretty? I suppose so, even though nail polish is shiny as-is. It does make your polish look more gel-like. Does this nail kit prevent chipping for "up to 11 days"? Well I suppose TECHNICALLY yes, it was "up to" 11 days… But *I wouldn't use or recommend this kit to prevent chipping of nail polish if you work with your hands.* It simply doesn't work well for that. I have yet to find anything that will make any nail polish last longer than a day or two without chipping, while I hold a job in which I constantly use my hands. So if you want gel-like nail polish, I recommend this kit, and you should get that gel-like result with any nail polish you use with it. I've used OPI products since I was a little girl. It's long been a favorite nail care brand of my mother's. She went through many years where she would only wear I'm not really a waitress, I still associate that color with that ideal woman we always wanted to be when we grew up. So, when I was offered to participate in this cashback campaign, even though I had never used any of the infinite shine products, I knew I would love it. It's even better than I thought!!! Alpine Snow is an old favorite color of mine but the blue color: To Be Continued is new to me. TBC is a beautiful light baby blue that is mesmerizing! It would work in literally every season and I do think it would be beautiful on most skin tones. The OPI formula has always been a winner. I was glad to find all the shades I was looking for through the Ulta.com app but had a hiccup with customer service I had never encountered before that got me a little ruffled. It was quickly shipped but with excessively poor packing that damaged the chrome paint on the bottles. Which I am fortunate was the only issue cause the way they packed it could easily have broken everything in it. To which I wrote CS and they did not seem to care. So I expect nothing will change. I am not real happy with the downside I have seen shipping and handling customer care from Ulta lately. Onto the actual polish. It’s a lovely shade of light pink with no nude/ brown town to it. Just above ballet slipper. Though it looked a little more watery than I prefer, it did not run at all and I had good control with each layer. I tried a thin on and a thicker one to check coverage. You can get good coverage with one layer done thickly. If that is your preference. Dry time isn’t to long, either. By the time you get through coat one, you may be ready to do coat two. For a beginner with zero experience doing my own nails this product was great. I’ve had my nails done countless times so I knew how to do it. The biggest thing is to wipe down with rubbing alcohol after curing because it is still extremely sticky otherwise. But it’s easy to build and easy to mold. I recommendUpdate* I haven’t been doing this very long, but I find after a week or so it starts to life around my cuticles. I love this builder gel and actually can't recommend it enough! This is the one and only brand I go for simply because it is affordable and such good quality too. Can fault it at all! It is easy to work with, cures beautiful, long lasting and it is actually nice and clear. I've found some other brands cure with a yellow tint which obviously isn't what you want when it's meant to be clear. This is the best builder gel out there in my opinion. This was the first product that I used when I started doing my own gel nails. What I love about it is that it doesn't smell it's self leveling and you barely have to use the electric file. There's only one thing I would change and that's the burning feeling when curing although only lasts for a sec its not pleasant. The price is a bit high but the quality is so worth it .jasmine.c

I actually have the 16 color + base and top coat kit but it wasn't available for me to select. All in all, this is a nice kit. I probably won't use some of the shades but it had the best option on Amazon for neutral + glitter combinations. The shades I am wearing in this photo are 030 (the pink), 108 (white as a base for ring finger), and 278 (gold glitter). I like that they included the base and top coat; which makes it easy to do a complete look. Warning – the bottles with the actual shades are quite small. Only the base top coat are full size. But that's okay with me since I wanted to test out the formula and sample their shades prior to committing to a full size bottle. Overall, pretty good…for now. We shall see.vicki.n

I used good nail prep, a base coat, two coats of pure, and a top coat. I have been adding a top coat daily to try to get longer wear. I am on day 5 without any chips. My tips on my dominant hand are worn off but otherwise it is in great shape. It barely shows. It makes my nails look clean versus having a noticeable color. When I compared my painted and unpainted hand it was definitely noticeable.Me42
This nail polish is good when it's brand new but after having it even for a month or two, the quality is horrible. It's clumpy and impossible to apply smoothly. I don't think it's worth the money if you have to use it all right away. I don't have this same issue with other "17 free" polishes so I don't think it has anything to do with how it's stored. I bought this because I’m pregnant and trying to avoid all of the harmful chemicals I can. This polish is free from the 17 harmful chemicals found in all other types of polish, so I wasn’t expecting it to work very well. However, this might be the best nail polish I’ve ever used! It glides on perfectly, I only needed one coat, it dries fairly quickly and I didn’t notice a single chip until about a week later. I really love the vibrant colour. It looks great when applied and is also easy to apply. It has lasted quite well on my toenails. Unfortunately on fingernails it scratches and wears off very quickly – more quickly then ordinary varnishes. Usually I am not one to spend money on nail polish since I wear them so selectively but figured that I would give this one a shot since the ingredients are wonderful! Really impressed with the quality. Only a bit of sparkle/shine on this particular color and for a 'pleasing peach', it can look like a light pink in different lights instead of orange. Have used 2 thin layers of this hard gel on top of the base coat, under the colour and top coat in order to give some added strength to my thin and bendy nails. Has done a great job and have definitely made a difference. I love KS nail lacquer, got it with my June Tastic Bundle. When I first ordered, I wished it came with more gel polish and none of the nail lacquer, but I'm quite surprised at the quality of KS nail lacquer. I usually don't wear nail lacquer; I hate that they don't apply nicely, takes ages to dry, and takes so many coats to achieve the colors. But not Kiara Sky ones! The colors are so pigmented with just one stroke of brush, they apply like a dream and dries extremely fast. This is my first red nail lacquer, I actually quite like it. It's a classic red. Bright yet still wearable all seasons. It's a warm tone red with a hint of pink that also looks good for cool-toned skin. Very universal, everyone should have this color.Tatum C.
