I don’t use dry shampoo a lot, but I like to have the option. After trying multiple sprays that didn’t work except for 1 and it wasn’t sulfate free and caused me to lose many hairs after using each time. Powders didn’t do a lot for my short hair either. This one works and I love that you use a blow dryer to restyle hair. I highly recommend this product. It also isn’t heavily perfumed like a lot of them.Peggy

I bought this in desperation when I really needed to restock my dry shampoo and my usual go-to brand was sold out. Whilst the description made clear it wasn't a normal formula for dry shampoo, the great reviews made me think it would be ok. I've been trying to wash my hair less recently, but I exercise almost daily at the moment so I really need something to refresh and remove the feeling of sweat and dirt. I've tried this so many times now and I just cannot get it to work in my hair. It just makes the grease, dirt, cloying feeling even worse. All it seems to do is to wet my hair after application, and then this contributes to the awful sweat in your hair feel. As it is dried out it just feels lank and disgusting – as if I've don't nothing at all or worse pored lots of styling products into my hair on top of the sweat. I wanted so much to like this product as I really needed it to work – and I'm very dissapointed.SMHE

I love the SPIRITUALIZED Dry Shampoo Mist! I have fine hair that does not stay styled over night. If I use the mist when I wake up it tames my fly aways, keeps the oil at bay and gives my hair a perfect refresh. Feels fresh, not powdery like most dry shampoos. The Good: If you love the classic Amika scent, you will love this product because it is truly spot on. Using this when skipping a wash day is a true joy for me because the scent is so long lasting that I get to enjoy it until I actually give my head a good shampooing. This product is light, does not go on overly white like most other dry shampoos out there and really does a great job at soaking up excess oil (yuck). I use this by spraying it in the problem areas and lightly "dusting" the rest of my scalp with it. Then I allow the product to work it's magic for at least 2-3 minutes but even more if time allows it and then I simply brush my hair out with my regular brush. Following these exact steps (my usual dry-shampoo routine) I have never found any issues of noticable residue in my dark brown hair. I've used many other dry shampoos that have made my hair look almost like its greying at the roots due to the light powder color and my contrasting dark hair. This dry shampoo never fails me. I truly love the formula, I've used this product for a very long time and I will continue to repurchase it (but only on sale). The Bad: As mentioned previously this product has a very intense long-lasting scent which can be a no-go for strong smell averse people and unless you know you enjoy the Amika "classic" scent products like I know I do, I would stick to getting a sample size to test it out. I got this for a friend as a gift and she told me she loves the scent but that it was simply too intense for her and after an entire day gave her a headache, so keep that in mind. The Ugly/Honest: Despite loving this product it's simply put not worth the price point. I buy this for at least 20% off each time and simply I cannot justify spending the full $25 for a undersized bottle of dry shampoo. Okay this stuff is awesome! I have type 4 African-American hair and wash it once a week, then typically do a blow dry and DIY silk press. It's hard to keep my hair sleek and fresh once 3-ish days pass because I work out 5x a week, doing everything from HIIT, Kickboxing, Soulcycle, strength training, etc. My hair also absorbs odors from the atmosphere very easily and starts to smell sweaty and old before the week is up. I got the travel-sized amika perk up in my birthday kit and have been using it pretty conservatively – I just spray a little in my hand and then rub my scalp and the lengths of my hair a bit. I only did this a few times this week. My hair so far has stayed surprisingly fresh and didn't even absorb any of the food or smoky odors after 5 hours in a baseball field concert. It has not taken on any sweaty odors from my workouts and feels soft. I am very impressed! I can only imagine the results would be better if I were using the product as intended. Just shows you that a little goes a long way. I am excited to bring this on my Hawaii cruise and have fresh hair all week. The product also has a nice faintly sweet smell. Perk Up has quickly become one of my go-to dry shampoos. I typically wash my hair 1-2 times a week and rely on dry shampoo the rest of the time. Most dry shampoos fall short of refreshing my hair after a day or two. But with Perk Up, my hair looked and smelled fresh through day 3. It did an ok job on day 4 but I will continue using IGK’s First Class for day 4. For those with less oily hair, I’m sure it would be great for day 4 hair. I have thick, straight hair that quickly becomes oily at the root. Perk Up quickly absorbed the oil without leaving a weird texture or weighing my hair down. It made it easy to style my hair however I wanted without having to counteract any effects from the dry shampoo. It has the classic Amika fragrance. The scent wasn’t overpowering compared to other dry shampoos I’ve used. But for those sensitive to fragrance, it is strong enough to possibly be an issue. I didn’t notice any white residue or powder at the roots—but I have blonde hair so I can’t say whether it would be an issue for darker hair. It did not make my scalp feel dry or itchy. I will continue to buy this product because it refreshes my hair and absorbs oil without adding unwanted texture or weight. I only wish it had the strength to get through day 4 post-wash.ashnicole01

I was hesitant about trying the hair care products. My hair tends to absorb products, leaving my hair looking dull and feeling heavy. I also have sensitive skin and using new products, even salon grade, irritates my scalp. I got this free when I purchased the LeVolume Play (which I absolutely love) and I really like this dry shampoo. It’s very light and leaves my hair feeling soft. I wanted to love this dry shampoo. I love all the other products I use from Lange. However I am not crazy about this. It feels more like a hairspray mist – it does not make my hair feel crunchy like hairspray – but the spray itself, is like a thin wet spray. So much so, that I actually opened my 2nd bottle because I thought maybe my 1st one was faulty. So I feel like it doesn't give me volume like a more 'powdery' thick dry shampoo does. I'm not even sure it takes away oiliness from my hair. I don't know. I'm not a fan. If you're looking for a spray dry shampoo that does not leave a white residue, this one could be it. I’ve tried many other brands of dry shampoo and this one takes 1st place. It is light enough to not build up on my hair and still work wonders for all non-wash days. Zero visible residue or “powdery” effect when you use it. Although you can buy bigger bottles in other brands – you will never notice the bottle size difference with L’ange because you use far less and still get fantastic results. I have healthy fine hair which is prone to getting greasy. This shampoo sounded like a godsend and after first use I quite liked the results it certainly cleaned my hair. However after multiple uses I noticed my hair would be very extremely knitted after washing and brushing through was causing my hair to actually rip I could hear my hair snapping!!. This is very strange for my hair to rip I also noticed my hair felt kind of sticky or coated and running my hand through my hair again it would often rip !. Sadly won’t be buying another bottle and didn’t even finish this one before having to give up . Be careful if you have fine delicate hair using thisremy.a

I've tried every dark blonde and brunette dry shampoo on the market. I have fine hair and wash it about 3x a week. This shampoo not only helps with having it look fresh, I mostly use it for root cover up. It gives me an extra 2-3 weeks between colors. My hair is light blonde but my roots are very salt and pepper (mostly salt). It covers perfectly. Been using it for a few years now. (For context, I have fine straight Asian hair that I wash every ~3 or 4 days. In dry shampoos, I look for dark hair-specific dry shampoos that add volume to my roots on the days I don't wash it.) I had really good experiences with Verb's Dry Conditioner Oil and Weightless Hair Oil, and when my holy grail dry shampoo (Batiste Divine Dark Dry Shampoo) was running out, I decided to go out on a whim to try this out, thinking I would have equally great experiences. I was wrong! I used this dry shampoo on second day hair, and while it left my hair feeling clean, it did nothing to add volume. It left my scalp in a weird in-between where it looked clean and not oily, but thin and limp. I don't usually spray dry shampoo on consecutive days (usually one douse of dry shampoo is good to last me for a few days), but I found myself grabbing for my old Batiste spray. Maybe I’m just used to the drug store dry shampoos, but I truly cannot feel this in my hair, in the best way. I have dirty blonde hair but this truly doesn’t leave a white cast on my hair despite it being kinda dark at the root. It gives just enough of a refresh (be proactive with it, it won’t save greasey greasey hair). I use it with the dry oil from verb on my ends to help smooth them out and it works amazing to help me go longer between washes. Also of note the nozzle on this is awesome, sprays out just enough, never too crazy, and has a nice dispersion. The scent is not my personal favourite (ouai still wins in that department), it’s a light powdery scent, it’s not overpowering or off putting at all and I can’t really smell it after about 30 mins. I brush my hair well to distribute the oil a little bit then I spray it in at the roots, and let it sit while I do something else for a little bit then brush it through and it feels light and clean, doesn’t get the weird waxy feeling that batiste tends to give. I needed a new curling iron. I didnt want something that was just the basic curing iron I can pick up at a box store. I did some research on curling irons. I wanted something that would keep hair curled all day, the basic does not do this. I read the ceramic barrels were going to be the best for my thinner hair. Without burning or leaving my hair unhappy. I got the bigger size. 1.25 barrel as I wanted bigger curls to comb, brush or fluff out for more body in my hair. I like the swivel cord, meaning when I twirl the wand the cord doesnt wrap around me, the wand. Etc. This is a very nice addition so I can use it at whatever angle I need. In trying Joico's dry shampoo I am pleased to say I can confidently use this and still go to work, and my hair looks nice. Smells lovely and is so easy to use. I have fine wavy/curly hair that gets oily the next day after washing. For years I've struggled with being able to skip washing my hair. I've tried many dry shampoos from high end to drugstore and this is hands down my absolute favorite. I'm not crazy about the cost but since it works so well I think it's worth it. I love the original dry shampoo formula so I wanted to try the brunette one since I have dark brown hair. Unfortunately, I was not impressed by it at all. It truly makes my hair more oily and dirty looking/feeling than it was before I put it on my hair. It also leaves your fingers dark and dirty if you touch your hair throughout the day. And for some reason, it gives your hair a very crunchy feeling, almost like a hairspray texture. And makes it difficult to run a brush through it once it's in your hair. This is the BEST dry shampoo I have ever tried!! If you are frustrated with dry shampoo never truly working on your hair, please give this a try!! I’ve tried popular high-end brands and a fair share of cheaper brands, but nothing compares to this product. My hair tends to look very oily one day after wash. I could never go more than 2 days without washing my hair until now. The Kristin Ess dry shampoo seems to soak up any excess oil without drying out my hair, and lasts all day! No white cast, no quick-fix that leaves my hair oily 5 minutes later, and no stiffness in my roots after applying.. Currently on day 4 hair (including a light gym session), which is a first for me!! The only drawback is the intensity of the scent. I love this scent, but if you are sensitive to fragrance, this may not be the product for you. I've repurchased this so many times so I figured I should leave a review. I begrudgingly used Batiste and Not Your Mother's for the longest time, since those were the top rated dry shampoos. This one is so much better. It doesn't leave a white cast (I have black straight hair), doesn't make your hair feel crunchy, and absorbs oils really well. This is my favorite dry shampoo, period! My only complaint is that it doesn't come in larger sizes, since I tend to go through a bottle in under a month with regular use. It's a bit pricier but totally worth it909

I was excited, but it wasn’t good at all. I’ve tried regular spray dry shampoos, mousse ones, and powders. Most of them work at around the same level except a dry powder shampoo I’ve tried from XMONDO. After that I was in love with powder dry shampoo. Unfortunately, I needed some ASAP and Target only had this powder dry shampoo for about the same price as XMONDO’s so I thought it would work as good or at least around there but I have to say it was as bad as the worst regular ones. I would recommend getting a better powder dry shampoo or just get any cheap dry shampoo, it will work better! This one did not remove any oil and left it white. I actually don’t mind the white on my hair too much but when it doesn’t do what it’s suppose to do I don’t want white for no reason. I really wanted to love this product, because I love almost everything by Kristin Ess, but it was just "eh" for me. This was my first time using a dry shampoo powder. My roots get VERY oily, so I'm not shy when using a product. This may seem silly, but because this is a pump application, it honestly made my hand/wrist tired by the time I was finished freshening up my hair. I felt like I had to apply a ton of this product for it to do anything, so I'd be pumping and pumping away. On the other hand, I do appreciate the little pump when I'm applying near my part by my forehead because normally I spray and get product on my face. The pump allowed for a little bit more precise application. However, the product itself just did not work well with my hair. I had to apply a ton of this stuff and it still left my roots looking greasy and my hair didn't feel clean. Normally I can apply dry shampoo every other day, or touch up certain areas when needed, but I found myself dumping this product on everyday which then made my scalp extra itchy and led to sooner wash days. I will say, it did not leave a white cast on my brunette hair, which I appreciated. The dry shampoo is PHENOMENAL! Unscented, effective for absorbing oil, refreshing second, third, fourth day hair & volumizing. It doesn’t leave marks on your shirt, doesn’t irritate the scalp it’s literally ✨perfect✨ except for one little thing, the packaging! Once you’re a little less than halfway through the bottle, a tiny puff of product comes out with every 10 squeezes. So FRUSTRATING! Wanted to try this dry shampoo as I had been using the Takesumi one and loved it but was very overpriced for the amount that you get. This one however is way note product for cheaper price so it is much more affordable. Liked the smell but didn’t love the smell as it’s too floral for me and am sensitive to floral smells. But definitely worked to remove the oils in my hair. It is quite beige in colour so you really need to work it in if you have brown hair. Glad I gave it a try as it is much more affordable than the Takesumi dry shampoo.Sophia S.

The sprays make me nervous as I feel like I'm just breathing it all in, others that are pumped mechanically are essentially the same. I've never understood why people would leave such dramatic reviews sometimes, until I found this product. I don't think I can get all of my positive thoughts and emotions depicted in this review alone. I've always struggled to find a good dry shampoo and thought I'd have to settle on some of the criteria I had, but this checks off all the boxes. It smells great, and the smell itself isn't very strong like batiste and other brands – it's light and floral fruity. A little goes a long way, and my hair stays oil-free looking all day. Other dry shampoos I've tried, I can feel the texture of my oils and the dry shampoo together, making me never want to touch my hair. I am still aware there is dry shampoo in my hair, but now I can run my fingers through without a gunky feeling on my fingers. I have very fine,straight, long hair. When I wash it, I have to put some kind of cream rinse or conditioner or spray on it to detangle it , since it is highlighted. My hair is usually too flat and would not be the way I like it till the 3rd day. I've tried mouse & spray texturizes; but the spray texturizers make your hair tacky and sticky and feel dirty. I wash my hair so it's clean, and then if you use a texturizing spray or mouse, it makes it sticky and tacky. The great thing about this dry shampoo is after washing my hair; I just spray specific pieces around the front & the crown, rub it in to my roots, wait a minute, brush it through , and I have instant thickness and body & my hair takes shape and is styled. My hair is not sticky or tacky and is very full. I've spent so much money trying every other Premier brand, and they just make your hair feel dirty. I love this product. I would not be without it & use it all the time on clean hair; and is GREAT in a bind after the gym & when you need to have your hair look great for another day before you can get to wash it .Denny

Ive been waiting to rate this product as my opinions on it kept changing. I bought the biggest bottle and I'm nearly done with it so I think my time has come to say what I feel. First, I'm going to mention that I have medium brown colored hair, medium/leaning thin on thickness. I tried to follow the directions on this bottle BAD MISTAKE. You have to work fast with this product. You spray, start working it in immediately. If I waited even 3-5 minutes, I could not get any of the white coloring out. I think there is a major difference in this issue if your hair is lighter. Yes, it does feel very light when its in your hair, you definitely don't feel disgusting and they may be on to something when they say it 'actually cleans hair.' However, I found this product to be too unreliable. Sometimes I felt like this was IT but too many times I thought that it's really not that great. I would try a travel size first. There are much cheaper options that I feel work consistently. This isn't something I can always count on but when it works, its fabulous.AgataRose
