This spray is terrible….for one, its NOT dark brown in color….its more like a tan color. Secondly, it sprays on like a liquid foundation and does leave a residue. I was really hoping to like this spray and was excited to purchase it and try it, but now im going to have to return it.Tosha

I have very light gray coming in on my sides and wanted to cover it for a bit longer. My natural colour is dark ash blonde. So I chose Revlon 60. I left it on longer as per the instructions for covering gray which it supposedly does 100% and had good hair saturation. And 5 minutes prior to rinsing I combed the remainder through my hair. I'm experienced with box colouring. Result? Red and patchy gray coverage. It's a cheap colour so I shouldn't be surprised. I do not recommend. At all.Jo

I recently purchased 2 boxes of Revlon Colorsilk Honey Blonde #42 and I was disappointed by the products results for my daughter's 3b/c dark brown hair. The product doesnt lift the hair color enough to show and all around color difference on the hair. It was inexpensive and cheap on quality. 2 bottle of the shade wasn't enough. DARK AND LOVELY OR CREME OF NATURE OR FADE RESISTANT BY D/R is far a SUPERIOR product and in my opinion, better quality for African American Hair where you outstanding results and are not cheated out of your money, time, self- esteem. I used #48 Burgundy on my naturally brown, greying hair. I don't use colour protecting shampoo or conditioner because they need to be used daily on my oily hair. I use deep cleansing shampoo 2-3 times weekly to keep the oiliness at bay, but it washed away the colour. I had greys peeking through after two weeks. If you're accustomed to colouring your hair at home, you'll find this kit is similar to most brands. All you need is in the box & the multi-language instructions are easy to follow. The colour crème is runnier than most other brands: it's like a dark amber liquid. When added to the developer, the mixture was runnier than most other brands too, so be careful of drips when applying. I popped a shower cap on while the colour developed. The recommended development time is 25 minutes or 30 minutes for resistant greys. For root-only applications, leave to develop for 20 minutes or 25 minutes for resistant greys. I used the maximum development time. The conditioner sachet wouldn't tear open. It needed to be snipped, so I advise you to do this before getting in the shower. The conditioner smelt divine, but there wasn't quite enough for a single use. My hair felt awful after colouring, but by the second shampoo using my regular conditioner, it felt fine. REPURCHASE? No. RECOMMEND? No – unless you just want to try something cheaply & don't have greys to cover. Made in USA. I used this for the first time this week. I really like the shade. The trick to getting a good application is to make sure you shampoo your hair before application so it’s damp and why residue/build up is gone, which can make the color not adhere to your hair. Remember, semi-permanent coats the surface of your hair, not the cuticle, so you want it as clean as possible. Using it on dry hair will give you a tint, but probably not the bright effect you were hoping for. Liked it so much, I got a few more shades of red and brown to try out.shannon.g

this stuff is AMAZING!! So I have been on the grey silver hair trend (well trying to get there at least) lol and the stuff is a lifesaver! I couldn't get the darn brass out of my hair and it was driving me crazy! tried almost everything! My last option was toning but after all the bleaching I didn't want to use chemicals… this saved my life and turned my pale yellow to a beautiful silver after one wash with a little bit in my shampoo! then I shadow tried with it full strength! no brass slightly profile like I wanted (only in the sun and thats because I left it on as little longer to achieve the purple silver look). I also used it on my son because w bleached his mohawk twice but was still orange like really orange! one freaking wash with a purple shampoo I made with this (a little stronger than the one I made for my hair since his was so orange) and we got a beautiful silver!! I'm 1 wash!! no more expensive purple shampoo for me baby! I got one bottle and have made 3 batches of purple shampoo, shadow ripped my hair fill strength 4 times and still have over half a bottle left! This bottle will last you a good while if you mix with water. It will still do the job and look bright and shiny. I used this to colour the blonde as my regrowth came through and trust me it looks better then having half blonde half black hair. Mixed this with the sapphire and got a beautiful blue. I tried a couple of others during the pandemic and once I tried this, I never went back. When salons opened, the stylist was actually pretty impressed by how healthy my hair and how “soft” the colour looked. Definitely use the quinoa mask that comes with it. In the newer formulation (I assume newer) however it has caused my hair to become excessive dry and while combing or hair-washing, my hair comes out in clumps, even with using only Naturtint shampoo/conditioner. I have colored my hair for 30 years, never seen this reaction (on-line others have also recently seen massive hair loss as well). Thank goodness my hair used to be thick or I would be bald by now, I will be turning to my naturally beautiful gray hair color now and tossing $100+ worth of this worthless stuff.LV_Pam

I wasn't going to use this product again, but the second time I tried it I used after-color conditioner that I have leftover from a box of Nutrisse hair color, and it left my hair soft and smooth like it normally is after coloring. The conditioner that comes with Naturtint is so bad I wouldn't use this product without conditioner from another hair color. Other than that, the color is good. My hair is a light brown but I always need to use blonde colors or it turns out too dark, and this brand is no different. I'm not sure that this is any healthier than regular hair color, but the smell isn't as strong, and it doesn't burn my scalp like some colors can. I often don't use the entire box because I mainly color my roots, and with this brand the ratio is 1:1, which makes mixing a little easier. Gray coverage is better than Nutrisse but I haven't used this product enough to know how long it lasts. With Nutrisse, blonde colors won't color my gray really at all, and I can see gray right after I color. This Naturtint does at least cover my roots, I'm just not sure how long it'll last.JB

First of all, I want to say I have VERY long and full latin hair. It is up to my lower back and I purchased 2 boxes- but only needed ONE. At first, I didn’t think the foam would work or even make it as it’s a liquid, it makes you skeptical it’s even costing the hair evenly, but you can’t be scared to spread it all around, massage it into your scalp, use a comb if you have to. I think the best part of this dye was the fact that it’s mess free. With the squirt bottle dyes, I always end up getting it on my walls, or floor, or countertop- with this one the foam is so easy to work with. I never really use the gloves provided in the boxes of hair color because they tend to rip at the seams- so use your own gloves. 2N was the color I used and it looks identical to the picture on the box. Just gorgeous. It’s a very dark brown that appears black but not blue black. I’m just in love with it and how soft my hair is after. I will keep buying this one and can’t recommend it enough. This foam hair dye was pretty awful for me. The dye smells good and the foam feel fine but the DRIPS! I had black dye all over my bathroom- so stressful. I did follow the directions and had a towel and carefully covered my bathroom. After using the amount of foam recommended to cover the entirety of your hair, you wait at least 20 minutes. In about 5 minutes the foam started to “melt” and no longer foamy, it dripped everywhere. Although I had a towel my hair dropped dye everywhere as I sat in my bathroom. I have to say the application is different than when you use traditional at home hair color, but I love it. The lack of harsh chemical smells and this is amazing as well. Plus, I feel like you can get better control when you're doing the application. John Frieda didn't dry out my hair like some other hair dyes did. It's a beautiful color and even on my natural black hair that was undyed you can still see some tint. I think I'm going to keep this up and see if I use it on more than just my one inch natural roots. Then maybe I'll have some red highlights on the few grays that I have over time.elizabeth.y

This is my favorite coloring product. It doesnt smell like strong chemicals when you use it. And if youre just coloring again to refresh your hair then you dont even need a whole bottle. Its inexpensive and it smells good, and it works. Black brown is now my go-to after I used the jet black one for a couple of years. Black brown definitely looks black but just without that fake look you get with jet black even if you have naturally almost-black hair like mine.Mina

This is an excellent choice for brunettes. My grays were coming in on week three and I wanted some way to control them without going to the salon. This is easy to use. Because it is not the same type of salon color ingredients I was very conservative on how long I left it on my hair and it came out really nice. Since you mix it with water, you can easily touch up some gray areas around your face if needed in between. Just mix a little of the powder from the bottle and save the rest. I have medium brown hair. Light chestnut has a nice warm look.Joy

Originally when I picked the color off the lime crime website it looked more like a tan neutral almost with subtle hints of peach close to nude color, and then when it arrived and the I swatched it – it was so far from what it looked like on the website? Hence why I usually don’t like purchasing make up mostly “lipsticks” online. However, I was extremely surprised how beautiful it was with little to no make up on and just very light mascara and lashes and how beautiful it went with my pale skin it wasn’t too dark and it wasn’t too late it’s the perfect shade for any occasion. I wouldn’t say it’s a nude color, I guess it could be placed in the nude category but I’ve found it had more hues of browns grays purples almost like a very dry it out purple with subtle and when I say subtle I mean very subtle hints of pinks and peaches and just all sorts of colors that I can’t quite point my finger on may be a little bit of a gray but mix those all together and you get this beautiful cashmere color that goes on smooth! I love that it’s a liquid lipstick aka VELVETINE matte (so I know it won’t be coming off on my teeth, clothes, drinks or even when I’m eating greasy foods – THIS HAS STAYED PUT!) I’ll even go as far as saying it lasted one very long passionate date night with my husband 🙊🙈😂 (insert blushing emoji here)  This was actually my second time purchasing this shade, and I would definitely purchase it again and again! Limecrime has great sales from time to time so make sure to look out for that! I think they’ve rebranded their website at showing the exact color on different skin tones and even have multiple lips pictured so you have a better idea how it will look, from when it was just the same pair of lips that was always pictured in every shade! I would NEVER recommend this dye to anyone. It only gets a star because it smelled nice. I got Sea Witch and it has dyed every surface my hair touches that color if the strand is wet. As soon as any water hits my hair, the color just starts running everywhere. I just put a little gel in my hair so I could braid it and my scalp has turned green again and so are my hands. My hair has been falling out more than usual after using this dye and all my towels, pillow cases, every surface in my bathroom, the sink at work, they are all covered in little hair strands that turn the counter top green. It’s infuriating. I get that washing your hair means color will come out, but I’ve NEVER had any other brand wash out like this or turn every surface it touches that color. I will never be buying it again and I’m probably going to take this color out of my hair soon. I’ve dealt with this for almost 2 weeks and it’s only getting worse. I love this brand so much. I’ve used maybe five of their colors, but the jello and chocolate Cherry are my absolute favorite ones. First off, the color penetration is excellent. If anyone out there is looking for tips, try rinsing your hair with cool water every time you wash it. Keeps the color longer and stays vibrant. The smell is a plus!!! And the price isn’t bad considering you’re getting over two more ounces of color compared to Manic Panic. This year alone I had red, turquoise, green, purple and some attempts to blonde hair at home. It was extremely damaging to my hair and I could not tone it for dear life. Revlon saved the day! I really want to find their mushroom blonde, I am dying to try it but I used the soft black for my root shadow, it helped with the orange and looked soft and natural. Before caving in to trying the $3.50 hair color I used Ion from Sallys, loreal and garnier olia (which is also good but fades super fast) Also I dampened my roots for a softer root shadow. Rinse in cold water so it doesn’t transfer to your blonde. It worked beautifully. 100% would be trying their other colors.sarah.o

I have used Tints of Nature for several years. I like this product for several reason: no ammonia or other harsh chemicals, great coverage, and it leaves a silky, healthy shine and texture. Even my hairdresser said you have such healthy hair. Also it has a clarifying shampoo packet for washing before putting the color on plus gentle shampoo for using after the color is set. The only negative for me is that the conditioner packet is not strong enough to detangle my shoulder length hair. Totally recommend this hair color!Pianomoo

I have been using this hair colour for many years. It is definitely darker than light brown, more medium brown. I use it to get rid of brassiness, and it does the job well. The formula does not irritate my sensitive skin and my hair feels nice, soft and well conditioned after using. I find the colour gradually fades.
