20 Best Manicure For Nail Biters (2024 Update)

I'm only on week 3 of the process, which is a month long, but so far I've absolutely loved this nail strengthener! I've tried tons of other nail strengtheners, including a $25 one, and this is the best one I've used so far. It doesn't tint the tips of your nails or turn them yellow, and it has a very natural sheen–not too glossy. My nails are stronger than they've ever been. I have only chipped a nail once, and that was at my job during the first week of using this strengthener (I work a pretty hands on, physical job). Long ago I gave up on my nails, trying to just handle them short to curtail their peeling and splitting tendencies. Last march I had a shellac mani to be fancy for a wedding and it ruined my already quite pathetic nails. After several months of trying to grow out a vertical split that had resulted I searched for something that would strengthen them enough to at least get back to normal shorties. Well, I saw this product and the reviews and thought i would give it a try. I did follow directions to the letter, which helped and it was at a vacation time for me so I could stay on track. After the first two weeks I had never seen my nails so 'non splitty' , and something in this is definitely fortifying them. After the initial two weeks I went into the 2 week every other day schedule, and I went ahead and purchased the soy remover as well. Pros: much 'cleaner' product line than any I see. Virtually no odor or strong smell, makes application pleasant. Products work better than any I ever used on my mid 50's nails! Cons: none yet, and I just ordered from the Labor day sale. I received this product complimentary for testing purposes. I’m really picky when it comes to mascara just because of my small short Asian lash hair. I had seen many great reviews and was excited when I got pick for this voxbox. I love the bristle of this mascara. It gives a big glamorous vibes. It can get a little clumpy if you overdo it. I love this product. I have used Nail Tek products for about 20 years, as their nail treatment/therapy products have worked wonders for me. My nail used to never grow. I began using Nail Tek, #2 with the cuticle/nail oil when preparing for my wedding in hopes to grow my own nails. They grew, and became stronger than ever before, less brittle and less prone to breakage. I’ve used nearly all of the Nail Tek treatment line and recommended to many! Only downside is you should apply it almost daily, which makes the clear treatment thicker and harder to apply. This is fine to prevent nail biting, not so good if you are eating food with your hands, say a sandwich, it taints everything with a bitterness. Depending on what you are doing manually, it can become sticky and rub off. The bottle and lid become sticky after a few uses and then hardens, making it impossible to open and continue using. It took me weeks to finally get it in the mail, but I really like this product. My nails are badly damaged from gels and acrylics. The pink color is ok but would not be my choice. It does let me see where it has worn off on the edges more easily though. My nails are easily broken and thin to begin with, so damaged they are very fragile. This is good for growing them out, and having some color helps hide the damage. I would like a shimmery nude color better, but that is personal preference.Merry B.

This is the Orly Nailtrition treatment polish and it retails for $15 at Ulta. This is suppose to be a nail strengthener for peeling and splitting nails. The formula is thick, shiny, and pink. I was hoping for something more clear. Not a deal breaker. It makes the nails appear bright and shiny. I recently wanted to take a break from getting my nails done and had the acrylic removed. My nails were peeling and thin underneath. I thought I would give this product a try and after a month, I’m really not impressed. It did not make my nails any stronger, nor did it help them grow. I really did not have any expectations of this product when I first started using it but figured it was worth a shot. I had acrylics for over a decade and then had to stop during the pandemic. My natural nails were so damaged, brittle and peeling, I had given up the idea of having nice nails again. I thought the Nailtrition at best would bind the peeling nails and prevent them from splitting but my nails are growing so well and (knock on wood) haven’t broken or split since I’ve started using this. This is my go to nail growth, strengthener polish. When I use it my nails are harder to break and they grow like crazy! It's easy to add polish over as well. We also discovered that it shows up under a black light. I have recommended it to every one. If you are having issue with your nails getting weak and breaking, give this a shot. The smell is like most nail polishes and can be strong but it dries super fast. It's worth the search for it. I have found it at grocery outlet, Walmart, Walgreens, Dollar general had it once. I've been using this nail gel for a year or two and I use it mainly for the finish on my nails 💅. It leaves a light pink color on the nails, it isn't completely clear. This nail strengthener has done the unthinkable: salvaged my thin, peeling, damaged nails that I was on the brink of accepting would be stubby forever. This stuff only works to discourage biting while it is wet. As soon as it dries it has no flavor obnoxious or otherwise and no or odor. I'm pretty sure this must be a better product than this or they could never sell it so I assume I got a bad bottle. Wow! This stuff works. My three year old daughter has been sucking her index and middle fingers since she was very little. I can see that her front teeth are moving forward and she talks with a lisp. I figured for $3 I’d give it a try, this stuff has a very bad taste which is good cause after just 1 week of wearing it i dont even want to put my fingers anywhere near my mouth anymore! The only con is that the taste DEFINITELY tranfers. Like I’d touch my lip and if i licked my lips i could taste it. Or if i ate doritoes and i went to lick the seasoning from my fingers i could taste it. I love this stuff! I’ve always been a nail biter, I decided during covid I would try and break the habit and I succeeded! It tastes bad, and it makes me aware that my fingers are in my mouth. I used to bite all of my nails off and not even realize what I had done until it was too late. I’ve gone three months straight without biting and have actually been having to trim my nails for the first time in my life. You do have to reapply every few days or so but it doesn’t bother may because it seriously dries almost immediately. If I could give this 10 stars, I would! My husband and my son are both nail biters we found this and began using it right away. Within a week my husband’s cuticles were all healed and healthy. This is a neutral review. I think it’s wrong to blame la product like this if you don’t successfully stop biting ur nails after using this. This isn’t the real problem. Truly take the time to ask yourself why you are biting your nails in the first place. I used to tell myself, “idk, out of boredom probably.” Which actually meant, “I might have an idea but I’m genuinely unsure and avoiding wanting to find out bc it could be an issue I’m not ready to face or deal with right now.” It’s a bad habit you formed yourself over time.. something that started off harmless then progressively got worse until you realize it’s a problem. Mind over matter— especially when they’re self-soothing bad habits. I thought I would give this ridge filler a try…I was pleasantly surprised how well it works! I filed and tried to smooth them out, but you could still see and feel ridges. Run, don't walk. This product is a whole grail. I have a terrible habit of biting nails as a stress coping mechanism and this grew back my damaged nails. Our little thumb sucker said she wanted to stop as she started losing her baby teeth (she is 5 3/4 years old). Shes been sucking her thumb in utero (when she was in my tummy)! With the help of this product she stopped within a couple of weeks! This wonderful manicure/pedicure set was well thought-out to include just about everything you might need. It comes with a cloth zippered case and has form fitting places in the form of a plastic insert which holds the device and all of the accessories neatly. The plastic insert can be removed if you prefer. The case retains its shape if you remove the insert. The inside lid of the case has a mesh pocket where you can keep the power cord and the manual. The case does not have a handle. In the case: Power cord with a micro USB end to charge up the device, Dust shield, 10 attachments, and a User Guide. No plug for the cord. The attachments are: Sapphire cone – to remove dry skin and calluses from feet and manicures the toenails. Coarse Sapphire wheel – Files nails quickly Fine Sapphire wheel – Files nails. Finer than the coarse wheel to file more gently and slowly Felt cone – For buffing and polishing Cylindrical Grinder – Grinds and smooths toenails Pointed Grinder – Removes ingrown toenails. Small for precise use. Round Sapphire Grinder – Removes corns. Use carefully. Needle-shaped Cutter – Precision tool. Used on ingrown nails or parts of dead nails. Fine Sapphire callus file – Removes calluses on the soles and heel of the feet. Crystal callus file – Use on thick, hard skin or large calluses on soles or heel. Charge up your device for about 3 hours before your first use and the charge should last about 2 hours according to the manual. You have to have your device turned off to charge it. It will flash red and green if it isn’t. It will flash with 3 blue lights if everything is OK. When the 3 blue lights are solid, it is charged. The power button on the device has 3 positions. Up, Middle, and Down. Down turns the attachment counter-clockwise and you will see a red light. Up turns the attachment clockwise and you will see a green light. The middle position is off. I thought I would not need to change the device from clockwise to counterclockwise and back again, but I found myself changing it while I was working to make it easier, so I see why this feature was included. The plus and minus buttons on the device control the speed. There are 3 speed settings. The instructions say to always start at the lowest speed and only increase the speed if needed. I never used it any faster. I thought the slowest setting was more than adequate. There is an automatic switch-off after 20 minutes. I like that the device is cordless, because I was holding it at all sorts of different angles to do my pedicure. Nail dust was flying everywhere so I attached the Dust Shield to keep it from flying up in my face. It worked great for that. It doesn’t catch the dust. It just protects it from getting it in your eyes or accidentally breathing it in. There is an LED light. If you use one of the larger attachments, it will block the light from shining where you are working. Also it was too difficult to try to always keep the light on the area I was working. I did use it though. I would stop for a second and shine the light on the spot to better see how it was looking. My First Pedicure with the Beurer: I started out using the coarse sapphire wheel on my toenails. That quickly got them filed down. I switched to the Fine Sapphire wheel to smooth the edge and “fine tune" my nail filing. Next, I used the Sapphire cone to remove my cuticles from my toenails and to decrease some of the slight thickness of the nails on my great toes. Then I switched to the Pointed Grinder to get the cuticles at the corners and to fine tune any cuticles that I had missed, as well as getting the corners of my great toe nails. I followed that up with the Felt cone to buff my toenails. I used both the Fine Sapphire Callus file and the Sapphire Cone on calluses and dry skin on my feet. I really loved the sapphire cone and how it made my rough skin feel baby smooth. I used the Sapphire Cone mostly for that. You do not have to use a lot of pressure for the attachments to work. In fact, very little pressure will be much safer while providing excellent results. Also use the attachments in circular movements, except when shortening the nails. At first, I was trying to keep my feet positioned over a small waste basket, but dust was flying everywhere, so I ended up sitting on a bath mat and letting the dust fall onto the mat, which is easily washable, or can be vacuumed. Before retirement, I was an RN and often took care of diabetics, including their foot nail care. I would have loved to have had this tool. I feel with proper use (not too much pressure and using circular motions) it would be very suitable for them with minimal risk. When I was working, only an RN was allowed to do the nail care on a diabetic’s feet. The reason for this was because of the risk of injury using the sharp cutting tools that were the only things available at the time. I love this product! I had to say goodbye to the nail salon during the past 18 months due to the pandemic, and I was in dire need of a new pedicure set. I used to own an electric nail care set and it was a good one that lasted for several years, but since it was powered by electricity, I always had to be tethered to the electrical outlet which was not always convenient. This one is rechargeable and has many other nice features as well. One of the overall design features that I like the best is that the Nail Pro Premium by beurer of Germany comes in a nice zip case along with everything you need to groom your nails, whether you need a manicure or a pedicure. The product is of a high-quality design and comes with 10 different sapphire and felt attachments that seem to meet all needs for nail care of manicuring or pedicures. It comes with a dust shield that fits neatly over any of the attachments and has an LED light that illuminates during use. The Nail Pro Premium charges easily with a micro-USB cable and needs to be charged for three (3) hours before the first use. It seems to hold that charge quite well and last up to about two (2) hours of use for each three (3) hours of charge. There is a speed control of three (3) speeds, and a control to make the attachments rotate in either direction. The unit is ergonomic and fits well in the hand which makes it easier to control and do detail work. The cordless operation also allows for more movement of use while using the device for either a manicure or a pedicure. I love how it works so well and then neatly packs back into its zip case where it is all contained for the next use. My daughter bought me this a year ago (by accident – she thought it was the polish). I've used the polish before and found that it you miss a day, the nail crumbles where it chips off so I was quite glad! It doesn't work overnight but over months it really has made a huge difference. My nails are strong, they no longer peel or crumble and I now have to file them to stop them getting too long! Perseverance is key and it's forgiving if you don't remember every day. 9-14-20: This review is on the Sally Hansen, Hard as Nails, Vitamin Strength Serum. It took longer for me, compared to other reviewers, to see results. I used only this product on my nails (twice a day) for about one month. I wanted to see if it would work. I was going to give up on it, but I started seeing results. My nails have always peeled and broken easily. My nails are now stronger, thicker, longer and not peeling. I have sensitive skin and this item did not cause any irritation like some nail products do. I have also long used a ceramic/glass file, instead of an emery board, which can separate layers of the nail. The only suggestion I have on the Vitamin Strength Serum is that I think a brush would have worked better. I also wanted to comment on the packaging of item. I like that you can see through the bottle. I have used the "Nail Growth Serum" in the dark gold colored bottle. It works well, but I don't like how you can't see how much product is remaining in bottle. Also, like others commented, I did not like the dropper that bottle has.Lou1

In my quest for healthier nails and cuticles, I purchased this to use under my base coat and nail polish as a strengthening treatment. This definitely worked. My nails have been so strong since I started using this regularly. I change my manicure about once a week and I apply the Nail Tek Moisturizing Strengthener underneath every other manicure because too much protein can cause nails to harden and therefore snap off when hitting something instead of bending like a healthy nail does.sandra.l
