When I went to my local nail shop I was excited to see that they had mood gel polish. I picked out a pretty color that changes from white to purple. I like, but since it's basically summer my nails are only basic white. Plus the nail Polish chip easily. I only had my nails done for a few days and they are chipped already. PROS: The color is gorgeous — it's the perfect highlighter yellow without being too green or too obnoxious. No white undies needed AND it doesn't dry matte! And the formula has that plasticized finish, where after it's dry, it doesn't chip. CONS: Upon first application, the formula was smooth and easy to work with. But as I kept painting, the formula just got harder and harder to manipulate. The more you dip in and out, the stickier and gloopier it gets, until you can hardly paint one good stroke without it being so thick that it won't dry or so thin that it drags the previous layer (this is also something I noticed with Synthetic Symphony to a milder degree). This kind of neon polish also requires careful top coating and maintenance. You can see every streak, smudge, and inconsistency. Overall, the painting experience and the aftercare was so laborious that this polish isn't worth it for me. I think you could augment the formula with some thinner and also roll the polish in between each stroke to help with consistency, but that's more work than I would like to put in.Cheny N.
Being a typical Celtic redhead I have very dry skin, hair and nails. My nails in particular break low down across the nail bed, snap off at the corners and flake from the free edge. They get especially dry after I use remover (always acetone-free), no matter which brand I use and I always have to apply nail oil and cuticle serum after removing varnish to prevent further dehydration. I've tried various nail treatments from Orly and other brands over the years, but with limited success. I've also tried not using strengthening treatments at all, and just applying oil and serum, but that hasn't made any long term difference either. When I saw the on-air presentation for this product I jumped at the chance to try it, as it's specifically targeted at dry nails. So….. I applied it for just 5 days Mon – Fri, as I like to wear colour on the weekend. When I removed it to do my manicure, I couldn't believe the difference in my nails: Every flake had been 'resealed', there wasn't a dry patch on my nails and they looked plumper, smoother, pinker and overall much healthier. Ive had extremely thin, brittle, dry fingernails for years and have tried just about every nail strengthening formula on the market, without seeing any improvement in the look or condition of my fingernails. I was therefore hesitant to spend money on yet another nail treatment, but having read consistently very good reviews of this one on various websites from people experiencing similar nail problems as myself, i thought I'd give it one final go at restoring my nails to a decent appearance and condition. Well, im so glad i did! Within a week of applying one coat daily to my nails, they felt and looked stronger. I continued this regime for another week as advised by the QVC Orly presenter for very problematic nails. A month later and my nails are now looking and feeling great! I'm going to continue regular use of this wonderful product and hope Orly never discontinue or reformulate it. Its also the only nail treatment or indeed, nail polish ive ever used which doesnt start peeling or cracking after my regular swimming sessions. So, its really helping to protect my nails from the damaging effects of chlorinated pool water too. Orly have really "nailed it" where my once-problematical fingernails are concerned – long may the results last!

It's my own fault. I keep buying Sally Hansen products and 90% of the time, they disappoint me. This one is my biggest mistake. Like other reviewers have said, The Moonstone color looks much more appealing in the bottle. When I paint my nail, it's so thin and barely shows. I have to do three coats just to see anything. Unfortunately, it looks and feels like those cheap nail polishes meant for children. I figured it could be used as a cute top coat since it's so clear, but it goes on clumpy and somehow there's tiny air bubbles? The only positive is that it does dry within 60 seconds. I got this back in June from my local sallys beauty store, to paint my nails before I left for California. Never painted my nails until today. The bottle is not even 3 months old and omg it is horrible. The color is so beautiful but the application was applying like it is was a oldie. Streaks, very splotchy not at all impressed. It’s possible I got a bad batch, but my experience with this polish was terrible. I got the ‘My Ca-Banana’ colour. The first time I used it, I couldn’t get it to go on my nails evenly at all, it was extremely streaky and formed clumps that wouldn’t smooth out. I kept trying and ended up needing to do three and a half coats to get it opaque. I let each coat dry in front of a fan on high for 10 minutes, and 20 minutes after I had finished, I bumped my toe into the corner of a table and the polish came right off of that nail in one clump. I initially chocked this up to me not having painted my own nails in a very long time and maybe just doing too many coats so I took it all off and tried again.
I did two thin coats, drying for 10 minutes between, over 40 hours ago now and I can /still/ press my fingernail into it and leave an obvious dent. It was tacky up until about 24 hours after applying. Dont bother with this nail polish, any other cheap nail polish would be better.Onyx Cave

First off, the item I was given to try seems to be different from the item I'm left to review on here. Pictures of the actual product have been provided. Anywho, mine is a gold cream product that dries fast and actually leaves my nails shiny and cuticles moisturized like it promised! I totally wasn't expecting it to perform well, but I'm glad it did. The fast drying made it convenient for me to do my homework on my laptop. It peels off easily too. It has a fresh, floral, almost powder-like smell, but it's light and not overwhelming at all. The sponge tip allows for the cream to be buffed out which I liked because the alternative would've been to use my fingertips which would've made a mess. My cuticles have been dry and my gel nail polish on my thumb has gotten dinged up so it's lost a lot of its shine. After taking off the mask, my cuticles are moisturized with less cracks. The polish on my nail got some of its shine back without ruining the polish too which I'm stoked about. I recommend this product to touch up your cuticles and old polish. It makes for a fun little bonus to your spa day! I never knew nail masks existed, but I'm glad to know now through this free product to test.
This review is for Sally Hansen Revive Peel off Nail Mask. I’ve never used a nail mask before. The smell is a lovely coconut scent similar to the Colourpop SOL body highlighters. It smells like a coconutty sun screen and summer goodness. The applicator is very nice as well, it reminds me of Charlotte Tilbury highlighter/contour products that come out of a spongey applicator tip. The product itself is even shimmery gold like a beautiful facial cosmetic product would be, but this is just for your finger tips and nails! I do my nails entirely at home these days, and sometimes my cuticles give it away. I noticed they looked a lot more calm, flush against my fingertips/nails, like healthy hydrated cuticles should look. The only complaints: I don’t think my sample contains the hyaluronic acid it boasts elsewhere (I’ve read and reread the ingredients list of the product I was sent and compared it to the ingredients list online), and mine wouldn’t peel off very easily. The instructions say to apply a “small amount” and “thin layer” to each nail/finger tip/cuticle, but that’s too subjective. I applied too thin and it wouldn’t peel off my nail. I got better results from applying enough product to reach the gold pigmentation of the product’s opacity, then it peeled off easier. Either way, you can just rinse it off, too. I rarely write reviews but I have to say this is my absolute new favorite nail polish! I thought that it being natural would result in less durability but I was a soap wrong. Regular nail polish lasts me about a week at the most. With the Sally Hansen natural mail strengthener underneath, two coats of this polish and a quick-drying top coat from another brand, this has lasted a week and a half now and doesn’t show any sign of chipping. This has got to be my favorite nail polish! It dries so fast, it applies so well and the colors are beautiful! Even my daughter wants me to paint her nails the same color when she sees me with this polish on. It’s so cute and looks beautiful in the sun or under any light. I always get compliments or have people asking what it is. Definitely my favorite nail polish and you know I plan to own the whole collection of these holographic polishes!!! As an aside, I'm someone who has been doing my own nails since I was 5 years old with my mother and am now in my early 40's having only had my nails done professionally 2x so I feel competent in this area have tried hundreds of colors and brands. This is one that's a definite fail in my experience with about 10 different shades (all lacquer I should note) and with their base top coats. I have found them to be very watery and difficult to apply without bleeding out over the nail line and hard to get an even no steak/ uneven application without extra effort compared to your average polish. Across the board, the colors I have had or do have in my collection separate much faster than the norm and are 10x more difficult to shake up often you cannot after a much shorter time period than average even while stored properly. That is not why I'm giving this a 1/5 though- the big reason is the very strong chemical smell that is overwhelming and a reminder of just how many toxic/ suspect ingredients are in most polishes- as much as I'd like to go completely clean with nail polish brands, I still can't resist a great gel, shade or effect and don't find it too difficult to try not to think about the toxicity of the color I'm using- with these there is no way around that in my experience. The reasons for the one star are: bold and vast variety of shades, high gloss potential probably the best thing has been how my experience with using this brand has nudged me even further in the direction to cleaner products like 💅🏼 for example which is a good thing I think!

I bought this Color Club Mood color changing nail polish. The bottle had purple on the bottom and blue on the top, both pretty colors. I had an image in my mind of my nails looking like the bottle, blue on my nail beds and purple on the tips, or vice versa, but no, I wore it for about 5 days. It did absolutely NOTHING. It was an ugly color and did not change one bit, not in the cold, not in the heat, not at all. Not only did it not change, it was just pretty crappy nail polish in general. It did not dry hard, it stayed soft, and chipped very easily. See photos of how ugly the color was, nothing like the pretty colors on the bottle. Don’t bother with this brand.Susan
I am such a fan of this brand. It had been a long time since I bought nail polish and I got a random wild hair that made me want to polish my nails. I cannot believe how expensive polish is these days but I have to admit, due to nail polish not being as popular, I understand pricing. This stuff is really cool. The problem is that depending on the weather you are more likely to only see one color unless you wash your hands or in the shower. The color mostly stays that color.jennifer.p

I actually have the 16 color + base and top coat kit but it wasn't available for me to select. All in all, this is a nice kit. I probably won't use some of the shades but it had the best option on Amazon for neutral + glitter combinations. The shades I am wearing in this photo are 030 (the pink), 108 (white as a base for ring finger), and 278 (gold glitter). I like that they included the base and top coat; which makes it easy to do a complete look. Warning – the bottles with the actual shades are quite small. Only the base top coat are full size. But that's okay with me since I wanted to test out the formula and sample their shades prior to committing to a full size bottle. Overall, pretty good…for now. We shall see.vicki.n
I love this product. Since getting the nail kit I have saved so much time and money avoiding going to the nail salon. The kit is super easy to use, but with practice you can create such fun designs. This was my first set in trying at home gel uv polish. I LOVE IT. Easy to use and have gone back direct to beetles site to buy more colors. I love this color, ocean lives. It has such a beautiful blue, green, gold, pink, silver shift. The colors are beautiful and the service is top knotch. My order arrived in 4 days with a sweet note and a wonderful package (so nothing broke). The packaging is amazing and the products are impressive. Company is vegan, cruelty free, and polished as non toxic. I have had the Fake Holo polish n my nails for a week and no budging.
