I was paying $90 a month on Gel nails at the salon…. Now many people find the nail salon relaxing. I do not. The minute I walk in I can’t wait to leave. And they always seem to take forever. You just apply the base, cure it under the light. Apply a few coats drying under the light after each one, and then apply the top coat. Boom! All done and lasts 3-4 weeks until grown out and time to do it over. Getting it off is a task, however I have found that an electric mail file does the trick efficiently. I had been going back and forth between gel top coats from Gelish (which you have to wipe off with alcohol after the final coat), dip powder top coats (not gel-like finish) and the polygel top coat from Makartt (the end result was very inconsistent, sometimes it dried off and you wouldn’t need to wipe off, other times it never dried but I did try using this one as a top coat for dip powder manicures so it could be it dries well with polygel only). Then I saw this set on Amazon. The reviews were not encouraging as there were many customers that had purchased other products from the same brand (PH Bond and Primer) that claimed the product had burned through their nail and had caused fungus and the skin under their nails to burn. Personally, this is my first time using this product from this brand and I am in love with the results! This is exactly what I was looking for, a base and top coat I could use for any of the different manicures I choose for the day. Cures with UV light and does not need to wipe off, this came off far more gorgeous than I thought it would look, no secondary effects and the bottles do come with a good amount. I bought this for my daughter Jessica, she absolutely loves it! It is (for some uncertain reason) very difficult to find vegan and cruelty free white nail polish out of all of the colors offered, (even harder to find the most non-toxic version), so I was pleased to buy this knowing it is the safest out there and is also from a small, local business. I am always thrilled to find a new, ecologically conscientious and vegan product and this is one is new to me because I only found it recently after trying several other vegan and hypoallergenic nail polishes. As ecologically conscientious is quite often synonymous with hypoallergenic because the basis of both philosophies is to exclude agitating toxic chemicals I am assured the Karma nail polish will not cause my highly sensitive skin any unnecessary agitation while providing me with a mind soothing manicure to realign my mood and psyche without any ill effects on the environment. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this nail hardener. It keeps my nails super protected – they're prone to break and they haven't broken since I started using it. It adds a shine that makes my nails look like gel nails, which I love because gel manicures just destroy my nails. However, the shine is not very long lasting but I usually apply a coat whenever my polish is looking dull and it dries in 1 minute, which is so much more time-conscious than going to a salon to get a high-shine finish or just redoing my nails entirely. I do like the way this looks on my nails. It looks thicker on the nail than other top coats. However, you have to be like Goldilocks with application and use an amount that’s just right. If you use too much- your nails will never dry! Or you’ll think they are dry and then end up with a “dent” in one of them the next day. You must follow the instructions! I have turned again and again to Shellac or gel nails, till I finally decided to give the Infinite Shine a go. It’s been 10 days now and my nails still look good, amazing! I was so not expecting this. Obviously it depends on if you look out a bit for your hands and nails, but if you do, yo will definitely last up to 11 days as OPI promises! I found however it did take about 30 min. drying time as opposed to the claimed 15 min., however you’re already good to go after 15min. It’s actually a bit of a pity that a lot of nail salons don’t really promote it as being in between gel and normal nail polish instead of just some other nail polish. I used the Infinite Shine base coat and top coat with two different colours on two occasions, waiting the specified time between coats. The colour is quite gloopy and the brush doesn’t feel as good as usual OPI quality. 12 hours after application I looked down to see the polish from my index finger had completely stripped off. No idea how! Within three days the other nails had started to peel and chip. I found this with the other colour I purchased too – really disappointing. I am astounded that this product has received any positive reviews, it's truly awful. I've been using O.P.I products for years and always found them to be consistently good, the normal polishes do seem to last longer than most brands and the colours are fantastic, However, it's a totally different story with these new 'hello kitty infinite shine' colours and duo pack. They literally chipped within one day! The colours themselves don't go on nicely at all, they felt rough and badly applied and the base coat mottled like i had hand cream on which made it go a funny consistency (which I didn't) I took the Blue 'Let Love Sparkle' away with me, but was having to reapply the chips so often, i ended up giving up and taking it off completely and I've only used 'a hush of blush' once as it's just not worth the hassle. I've complained to the company and asked for a full refund as I feel these products are not as they have been advertised, but surprise surprise, I've had absolutely no response.Bobs78

I’m torn on this base/top coat. As a base coat I think it does a great job in making sure the polish doesn’t chip or flake, but as a top coat you need to run rubbing alcohol overtop, otherwise it stays sticky after curing in the light. It does stay nice and shiny after use, but it doesn’t mention anywhere that you need the alcohol to set it, so the first time I used it I had to remove everything and re-do without a top coat, as I didn’t have the alcohol to set it!kate.m

I have used various gel polish base and top coats, never have I used one that gives such a beautiful shine as OPI top coat, it should be called mega shine. It was super easy to use it isn't too runny and even when I applied a generous layer on my nails it never once ran or leaked into the cuticle or side walls. (My previous gel top coat would run and often I would need to flash cure every couple of nails to prevent this). The top coat does leave a tacky layer of which you need a gel residue wipe off solution to remove this. Based on the reviews of Rosy Future OPI nail lacquer I was excited and looking forward to receiving my new nail polish. Wow! What a shock it turned out to be. One coat looked good and I should have stopped right there. Thinking it would look even better with two coats I eagerly added a second as it was easy to apply. One coat gave a beautiful sheer iridescent shimmering look. Adding a second coat gave me neon nails that resembled fluorescent lights. I will continue to use the Rosy Future but only one coat. I am disappointed because I think a manicure with two coats of polish lasts longer. But, the look with one coat is acceptable with top coat layers. This polish is not the winner that I expected but at the same time it is not a total loss either. I would recommend the Rosy Future because of its versatility. For those who like a sheer iridescent look it’s a winner. For those who like neon nails it’s also a winner. Enjoy your new nail polish! I absolutely love this top coat. I use it over Color Street Nails, but also for my daughter when she's painting her nails. It extends my manicure to 10 days, at least (I usually get sick of the color first and take it off). Dries very quick and gives a nice shiney coat. I don't usually need to reapply. Gives it a nice gel polish look and I get a ton of compliments all the time. Makes my nails feel much stronger. Definitely recommend. I received this nail polish complimentary from Influenster in exchange for my honest opinion. I read a description of this which called it a "Barbie pink" and was immediately like "ugh great, bright pink!" I'm generally not a fan of pinks, but this one grew on me! I applied two coats of Two Timing the Zones over the OPI Natural Nail Base Coat, finishing it off with the OPI Top Coat. This polish bubbled, even after leaving 40+ minutes between coats, which was annoying! I ended up topping it with Essie's A Cut Above, which made already girly nails *even more* girly, and I actually liked it! This was again topped with another layer of the top coat. The polish chipped on my dominant hand within 3 days. Considering there's three layers on top, with the tips capped, that's pretty annoying! On my non-dominant hand, it chipped within 5. For me, it's not worth the price tag and I want far better longevity regardless of the price tag. It's around £15 in the UK, and I've got £1-2 Kiko polishes that perform better. I do a lot in my life, I'm a mom, I do dishes, laundry, gardening, crafts, etc. My hands get VERY dirty, so I have to wash them probably 20+ times a day, and it makes my my nails get so weak and brittle and they've always been prone to chipping, breaking, etc. but this stuff is so good at sealing the nail with a nice shiny coat! It glides on easily, and dries pretty fast. I've done multiple thin layers and one thick layer and both have worked well. My nails have been bothering me so much that I've had nail hardener on my shopping list for a while now since my nails kept breaking and chipping, but then this came in my mailbox! I mean, it really makes a difference when you see how flexible your nail was before vs. after applying. After having this on for a week, I went to do the dishes and jammed my thumb on the sink handle, and already was reaching for the nail file because I thought my nail broke for SURE! But nope! it held up with this stuff on! I also notice my nails don't get as thin and weak when they sit in water for a while with this stuff, but of course it wears the coat down when you swim or have wet hands for long periods of time. I'm planning on getting another bottle to use on my feet after showers because my toe nails could use some help with cracking too! Let me start off by saying that I have eczema and I wash my hands VERY frequently especially since the start of covid-19. My hands are always super dry and I constantly have several hangnails and torn cuticles that I have to clip off every evening and I hate it. I'm also a medial student and my cuticle skin falls victim to my stress picking during exams 😭😭😭. I have never used a cuticle oil before, however after trying this for the first time I am CONVERTED. My cuticles have never felt so healthy before. This is a great product that melts into your skin and doesn't feel greasy. The applicator is just like a regular nail polish brush. A little goes a long way though, one dip can cover all 10 of my cuticles. I've been using this product almost everyday for a week and I had definitely noticed an improvement. The differences between the before and after picture are not super noticeable but trust me, you will feel a difference. I did go one day without using it and surely the dry cuticles and hangnails came back with a quickness so this is a product that requires constant use to reap the benefits. But that's not exactly a complaint, just something I noticed and I don't really mind. I definitely recommend this cuticle oil for anyone with dry hands.
I was looking for a new top coat for my nails and generally have good results with Sally Hansen products but this stuff drives me insane. It doesn't matter how dry my polish is before I put this on or how long I let it sit before I move on with my life, this stuff never ever seems to fully dry. I could paint my nails at noon and go to bed at 11pm and I'll wake up with imprints in my nails from my sheets. I thought I wasn't giving my polish enough time to dry (I usually use the Sally Hansen quick drying polishes) so I timed it and waited about 30 minutes between coats. I let the top coat sit for an hour, then dunked my hands in ice water and made sure I was super extra careful when preparing food that evening. After cooking, I looked at my nails and had a huge divot in the polish on my pinky nail. My other nails all have bunching at the top where the polish was pushed back from doing who knows what (literally just living life as normal). I forgot to put this on when I painted my nails last week with the same polish and had no issues until I did a deep clean of my house at the end of the week (using chemicals without gloves). I don't think I'm going to ever use this top coat again.J

I was hesitant to purchase this because my prior experience with this brand (Ombre kit) was disappointing. But I'm delighted with the Chrome art nail kit in Chameleon. Depending on the light, nail color can look lizard green, bronze, or garnet; glitter sparkle is discreet. Every time I extend my hand to store clerks, waiters, bank tellers, etc. they stop me in mid-sentence to compliment me. I'd give 5 stars but the second kit I purchased, in Bronze, is less distinctive. (The monochromatic color scheme is pretty subtle–maybe I have to play with it more for maximum effect?). For a multi-purpose product this is quite a good product. I really like it as a top coat and I notice that I get a lot longer out of any color when I use it. As a base coat, it seems to do a well enough job. I haven't noticed any miraqle improvements in my nail health, but honestly they are pretty healthy so I will leave it to those who were seeking to address a concern to comment there. Perhaps my only real gripe is the application brush is quite narrow, which makes it difficult to get a nice even coverage, especially for a good base coat. This base coat is effective, but average. It does what it is meant to do, which is create a protective layer between your nails and nail polish. This base coat does not prevent nails from yellowing, which is caused by nail polish, especially dark colours, from staining your nails. It also does not fill ridges and create a flat and smooth surface for nail polish, like or similar products. This product can also be used as a top coat. This polish is nothing special as a top coat. I wasn’t sure at first if this was actually a treatment or just a “cover up” for yellowed nails, so after getting it home I read the back more carefully. It seems that this product is not a treatment, and is only intended to give the illusion of brighter nails. While this is fine, it still requires that step of putting two coats on the nail, just as with any other polish, but I think it is a nice alternative to looking like your nails are natural even when they are not. I like how it brightens the overall nail, however, in certain lights the tips of my nails still look a bit yellowed, although overall they are much brighter (especially far away, as the photo above is so zoomed in it really accentuates it). I think this would also be helpful as a basecoat underneath more transluscent polishes if you didn’t want yellow nails to show through. I am not sure how well this would cover up extremely yellowed nails – even just two coats I felt was just passable on my nails Next time I may try going over the tips again with a third coat, but then I would be saying to myself, “Maybe I should just do a full 2 coat/french tip manicure with actual colors!?” Ha! This is Ok. My nail polish lasts about 4-5 days with a good application technique, I think this is a better base coat than topcoat though – it doesn't dry hard enough to be a good topcoat. I find even when my nails have been dry for 8+ hours before I go to bed I'll wake up the next morning with fabric imprints on my nails, This is fine in a pinch, like when you're travelling and don't want to take tons of bottles with you, and for me it's good on chrome polish, because my favourite top coat is Seche Vite, which tends to mess up chrome finishes.Gingersnapp

I received Essie Smooth-E basecoat as a #freeproduct to try for my honest review from #topboxcircle #trytopbox. I had never heard of this basecoat so I was intrigued as it stated it was a ridge filler and would give my nails a smooth finish to apply polish. I use a lot of dark colours especially blue that has a tendency to stain my nails. I did find that with the initial application it gave my nails a matte finish with an almost grippy feel and then I applied my Essie polish in a nice deep blue. It did dry quickly before I applied the polish. I have had the blue nail polish on for a few days and did find my nails chipped almost the next day so that was a little disappointing. I absolutely love the entire Essie line, they always have high quality products. It’s my go to for my mani/pedis. The only issues I’ve come across is that my nail polish never lasted a week. It would constantly chip off, but since trying out this base coat that Essie brilliantly thought of, I no longer have that issue. Initially I was a bit skeptical about this product claiming to smooth the ridges in my nails. I recently had acrylic nails taken off and the removal process wrecked havoc on my nails. The surface of my nails were uneven and they were peeling. When I applied the base coat, I noticed that it filled in the weak spots in my nails. When I applied the nail polish on top, my nails felt so smooth. You would not be able to tell that my nails were damaged. This duo gets the job done but not the best compared to others. The base doesn’t always lay smoothly and that really shows on the polish. The top coat takes forever to dry and even when it’s been cured it still has a tacky feeling to it which can leave marks on your polish. DND was the first gel polish company I used. So naturally I knew nothing how about other brands. I use the top coat majority of the time when I was learning how to do nails. With that being said I loved it until I started doing more research. This top coat is not as shiny as I would like it to be, now that I have been using other brands. I have since than moved on to nailsupplyglamour top coat. What has bothered me about this brand top coat is once you use alcohol to wipe off the top layer it instantly gets dull. Now I know this is not a top coat that you need to wipe, but if you accidentally got something on it and you need to wipe it off you definitely can't use alcohol. I have since used with many other gel color brands and they work wonderfully. The top coat is NOT super-thick, like some other brands, so I use as little as possible. Also, be sure not to tilt your nails to the sides when putting into the LED/UV curing machine (doing so may result in pooled topcoat at the sides of the nail, if you have used a little too much). I typically cure my thumbs separately, so that all my fingers lay FLAT in the curing lamp. The finish is beautifully shiny and does require the sticky film to be removed with alcohol after curing the final coat. Super easy to use… with a nice slim brush (not short or thick)… Great product for the price!natasha.k

I was given this polish to restore my nails after having a gel manicure for years. I stopped for covid19, as I couldn’t justify the salon trips with a high health risk person in my household. The top and base coat bottles look identical to their gel polish color bottles except for the fact that the text on the bottle indicates which formula is which. Each bottle has a sticker on top of the cap that says "Base" and "No Wipe Top" so you can easily find them if you store your polishes inside a box. I used a 1 minute cure time with a UV/LED lamp for each layer of base, color, and top coat that was applied. Thin coats are key in getting the polish to last, as is doing the proper prep work to your nails (buffing and cleaning the surface) prior to any application of the formula.The base coat is slightly tacky after curing it, which helps to get the color coat to stick and not shrink. The top coat is a no wipe formula which leaves a smooth surface and a plump and glossy shine. This is my favorite at home summer color it brings out the melanin in my skin against this bold color making your nails noticeable from a distance or up close. The color is TC11 lime green with normal temp lawn green when cold. I love the transition of the colors because it mesmerizes some people when they notice the color change. The only reason this gel polish doesn't get a 5 star is because it is an absolute pain to get off. I can soak it and soak it for what seems like hours and I still have to file it off or scrape with an orange stick. The colours are beautiful, it is easy to apply for a beginner and it doesnt pool at the edges of your nail. Another great bonus is that the top coat does not require alcohol wiping, so for those with tight c curved nails, like me, you get much better coverage and top coat seal!kayla.m
I recently started doing my own gel nails at home and I love this top coat. It is no wipe so you do not have a sticky residue left over. I will always recommend to friends! At home gel nails are the way to go. I have weaker nails and this helps strengthen them without the salon price.mckenna.d
Who knows when their overhead mechanism was made. I had the manual and that was no help. So the hardest part was finding the correct setup code [which I then wrote down]. But it does just exactly what it is supposed to do. But do keep your manual. Sometimes a power outage will require a reset. I know someone who bought a new one rather than pay for a repairman which would have cost MUCH more., all because didn't keep the manual.lorilohman

In my quest to find the perfect combination of base coat, nail polish and top coat that extends the polish wear, I tried . This base coat is supposed to strengthen your nails as well as fill in ridges, prevent nail staining and provide better polish adhesion. I did find that this base coat is fast drying and provides a smooth base to your polish. One very nice feature of this base coat is that it is a nice nude color. If you have sheerer polishes you will not need to apply as many coats to achieve an opaque look. This also did prevent nail staining. I like the product packaging. The rectangular shape is much easier to hold and open if you have moisturized your hands prior to polishing your nails. Unfortunately I did not see any improvement in polish adhesion in comparison to other base coats. Worth noting is that Butter London is a clean, cruelty free brand and their polishes are “10-free” (free of 10 common toxins). The price point is quite high when taking into account product performance and amount of product in the bottle. I will not repurchase.
