I'm a little disappointed with the product. While it does file the nail, it does take a lot of time for it to be done. And it also works best for longer nails as it's hard to get close to the skin with the file. Not really suitable for toe nails that hug the tip of the toe as they grow so will need to continue to use the nail clippers for those. This would be better to use after cutting nails to smooth out any rough edges instead of using this predominately to shorten the nails of babies.Ashlee K.
This is my preferred method for trimming nails on newborns as it works so well on little fingers. Only let down is that they do mean it when they say in the manual to “remove batteries if storing for long periods”. We had one for my first son and then stored it away for ~18months before we got it out for my newest baby. It seemed to have eroded inside around the batteries and wouldn’t work anymore hence we purchased a new one. I have to confess, I use these for my nails despite them being for newborns. I bought these when my children were fresh out the womb, and still hold on to them today. The shape of them makes them easy for adult hands to grip. The clippers them selves aren’t sharp, but you can accidentally get baby if you aren’t careful. I had been pretty pleased with these clippers after the first set I had been given broke. I found these pretty comfortable to use with my little one, especially as nail clipping became more difficult. Until today, when I went to use it & it basically exploded. The parts went flying everywhere- with my baby in my arms. I don't even know if I have all of the parts found as I'm not sure how many parts there were exactly. The tiny pin and "screw" were found but it upsets me greatly that these or any other part could have gotten my baby in the eye/s. I still am looking to see if I can find anything else but it may be gone into my heater. It definitely makes me wary of buying yet another set. My baby is a year and a half. I expected the clippers to last a long time… not go through two in a year and a half. Definitely a little shaken thinking something worse could of happened with the way it flew apart. It was shocking actually.

My daughter is 2.5 years old and does NOT like to sit still, cutting baby nails is so much easier than toddlers. These nail clippers cut nails in a crisp and neat manner without me worrying about my grip on the clippers and getting the right position. I can easily and quickly cut her nails fuss free and she can be on her way faster than a traditional nail clipper. I've tried baby nail clippers before and found them to be clumsy and not sharp enough, these are the opposite and I'm glad I gave them a try. At first I found the steady grip nail clippers awkward to use. The handle is quite large and took some adjustment to get used to, but after using it a few times I am quite impressed. My boys generally let me clip their nails while watching tv, but this does not mean they are sitting still! The large grip of the clippers makes it easier as I am no longer fumbling with the tiny clippers we are used to. The Steady Grip nail clippers are strong and clip through nails easily, even my own…they are much easier to use when clipping with my non-dominant hand. I would definitely recommend these clippers, they are very sturdy and I believe they will last a long time.

I had the opportunity to utilize Frida Baby Easy Grip Nail Scissors on my 7-month-old daughter multiple times. Although I typically utilize standard baby nail clippers to trim my children's nails, I thought it might be nice to give the nail scissor a try. The Frida Baby brand is trusted greatly in our household, and so I was eager to see what the Easy Grip Nail Scissors had to offer. I absolutely love the innovative design of this product, as the set includes the nail scissor with an easy-grip handle and a safety case for convenient and worry-free storage. The blade is slightly curved for easy manuevering around the fingertip, and made from sturdy stainless steel. I personally find that the hardest part of trimming baby nails is the frequent hand movements and curiousity. I love that the safety case can be utilized as a distraction for baby, as my daughter enjoyed holding the safety case with her free hand. Overall, I found that it took slightly more time for me to trim my daughter's nails with the scissor than with the traditional clippers, as it took me a bit more time to position the blade close enough to her nail bed to get a precise trim with the scissor blade. These scissors were delivered on time and are exactly as described. Having used them on my toddlers I find them to be sharper than clippers and cut very cleanly (leave no nail "flakes" behind so no need for filing) and the blunt tips mean they are wriggly toddler-friendly. Not the cheapest, but worth the price, in my view – plus the elephant pouch is fun; I give it to my toddler to hold and play with while I trim.suzkan44
