Was cutting some very thin gauge metal, has no power and the circuit protection was a continuous hassle. I think best suited for polishing clouds since it has no power. Has high speeds, but once you touch anything, it pulls it down so quickly and circuit protection shuts it down, having to turn it back on again and again and again… total waste of money.anonymous

Excellent Crafting Tool! It does what it claims to do and more. It has really helped me get through these challenging times mainly at home alone! However; the Curbside Pickup at my HD Royally Blows Hard!!! What a Joke! And the In Store Customer Service is Seriously Lacking! We Are All Suffering Together during this time. It's a great dremel , the only issue I would have with it is that it isn't too strong and if you press on whatever you are cutting, drilling or engraving on , it automatically shuts off . It is a perfect size and easier to handle than the regular dremel, if it was just a little more powerful it would have been perfect!! I even use it to shave my dogs nails since it's much quieter than the over the counter ones they sell for pets .mister_v

So this is the Melody Susie Sheen Nail Drill. I ordered this in 2019. 5 STARS y'all!! It gets all five stars from me because it's just that good and still works as it did the day I bought it, 3 years ago. My bf loves for me to do his nails with this 😆 (he's a diva too). First thing I noticed when I unboxed it is it doesn't feel light, plastic-y and cheap. It has a "for professionals" feel to it. You may not know what I mean but you'll see once you order one. It works so good y'all! It comes with 6 drill bits and a case for storage, 6 sanding bands of diff grit levels, a baggie of sanding bands, user manual, the actual electric drill, and the power cord. The drill has two spins: clockwise and counter, plus it has a dial to go fast or slower. And the best part, it does an awesome job! I can't even fit everything I want to say in this review. I have been using Dremel products for over 40 years and I am always impressed with there quality and surprised they can provide it so economically. I am a professional wood carver and always have from four to five of these surrounding me so that I don't have to change bits constantly as I am working. This is my first with the new EZ change in the head of the tool. Even better. It works slick. And they always seem to be improving the variable speed switch so that it lasts longer . These switches in the past have over a period of time developed "drop outs" in them. Places where when you try to set the speed in that area on the variable the tool just stops, and you have to move it up and down to find a sweet spot where it works again. I used to think this was caused buy sawdust in the tool but I don't think that's the whole story. I have cleaned mine and to no avail. But this problem doesn't occur until about two years of heavy use.YoYoTangle

Some of these attachments (a router, a spin saw) are gimmicky, but a couple like the chain saw sharpening kit and the flexible shaft are really helpful and take care of jobs that can’t be done with your regular tools. The JobMate for $10 on sale is not a ripoff, but it can’t be compared to an actual Dremel in terms of performance, durability and versatility. I picked up a kit of JobMate attachments to go with that tool, but they tend to break down quickly compared to the Dremel line. The sanding cylinders, grinding stones, and cut off disks all had much shorter lives compared to their Dremel counterparts. Attachments routinely fell out of the JobMate tool. It made quick work of cutting through them and the heads lasted a lot longer than ones I got with my JobMate. Dremel has every kind of attachment you can think of. I bought the router one, but it was soon sent back because it just didn't offer the kind of depth control I wanted. I bought the Dremel 3000 with Flexi Shaft for Hobby purposes. I am giving my old Dremel to a friend. I like the new one better because it has a slower revolution speed than my old one. I also like it because of the Flexi Shaft attachment . OK, with that said and done I have been laughing my head off over some of the negative reviews and questions. Guys, the Dremel is a light tool for small jobs. I would never keep the motor running for an extended periods of time or use it for "heavy" chores. Pick the right tool for the right job. Would you buy a light truck to tow a 30 ft. trailer? Also for anybody that is curious, you should not hammer in nails with your Dremel. 😉Larry

Fantastic tool, it has a lot of power and doesn't take long to charge. The only thing I wish it came with was a chuck for small drill bits, those can be bought separately but really should have come with it. It's very light and easy to work with, does a great job with cut off discs and drilling at low or crazy high speed.metaled

Cordless and holds a charge well. I really like the feel of it when I use it, not heavy or bulky. Used mostly to smooth trimmed dog nail that have sharp edges, the dogs don't mind because it is quiet. I've aslo used other attachment (which it came with, Lots of them!) and they work great too! Im a dog groomer so I use a dremel every day for work. The port that you plug in the charger to charge this particular dremel is so fragile that it took less than a month before it broke. I love this thing! I build radio controlled airplanes and this Dremel is a dream come true. I use it to sand, grind, and cut things like over sized bolts and wood. It is made of high quality materials and runs very smoothly with little vibration. The case is very well built and every thing has a place. The drawer locks when the lid is shut. Its a great rotary tool. Very quiet, has great power. It was a little bigger than I was use too, but that didn't take long to overcome. It does everything that I need it to do and more. Bought the one with a nice case and the extra accessories, I was impressed with the case BUT as soon as I tried to use the Dremel tool it's just completely dead I've tried different outlets and it just doesn't work or even tried other outlets so I'm guessing it's a bad switch? I was so afraid of getting a single speed Dremel. I have had a single speed corded Dremel for many years but rarely use because it is so fast and too fast for most of my projects. I only use it when I can't find my variable speed corded Dremel or have the variable speed attached to the Dremel Drill Press Workstation and don't want to take it off. I checked and found out it was slower than the corded single speed Dremel and decided to give it a try. LOVE it! The speed isn't so fast that it is hard to control. It is JUST right for most projects. Yes, it is slower than the others but has been good enough for most projects that I've needed a cordless Dremel. Bought this cordless Dremel to cut out rotten timber from window & door frames prior to repairing them. I use a specialist repair system and the mini handheld tool they supply is very expensive. I decided to get the Dremel because its a proper multi function tool. I've used it on wooden frames and even to cut grout out from tiles. Its brilliant. The charge lasts a good time, the work light is excellent and the tools supplied with the Dremel are comprehensive – I've added more already. Its easy to handle and not heavy. Purchased the Dremel 8220-2 45 Piece 12V Li-Ion Multi-Tool Kit 1 x 2.0Ah a few weeks back and although I don't agree with organizations requesting reviews almost immediately after purchase – if manufacturers had faith in their product they would wait 6 months to a year to request feedback. Anyway to break my rule, I purchased the kit to replace an aging JML multi-tool kit which survived well over 10 years doing tiny/small jobs. Having paid quite a bit more money for the Dremel, you can instantly notice the difference in build quality. The Dremel seems fairly robust (ask me again in 10 years and I'll confirm) and seems capable of handling the tasks thrown at it – so far I have only used it for detail sanding. My only gripes with the tool are as follows; 1. The weight of the tool would make me question whether it would be suitable for use in delicate craft like situations; 2. I would question whether the lowest speed setting of 5000 rpm is suitable for craft users or maybe it's myself not being familiar with the difference in performance between my old kit and the new. I have a deluxe Dremel system; however, mine is corded which really limits what and where I can do my work without an extension cord. I have 100 yards of extension cord for outdoor use but it is cumbersome if you talk about cleanup, setup and practice use. There is more practicality since you do not have to deal with a long cord that may inhibit certain angles or positions that you may need to get the job done. After acquiring this particular cordless version, I feel truly liberated. Now, I can freely go into the backyard and work on sanding areas on my wrought iron fence, our 20 year old basketball goal post, and working around the garage. The biggest advantage of this Dremel system is the EZ Twist system which allows you to place, rotate and lock the various attachments without having to resort to additional tools/screws. It is a more expensive option but when you need speed and convenience or you have limited time, then there is no better alternative. I absolutely love this drill. The weight, color, and portability are amazing! It’s so pretty! I’m a beginner and it’s so easy to use. I can’t wait to get the matching LED lamp!! My drill arrived on Monday June 6th, 2022. I am blown away. This drill is awesome! There is absolutely no vibration and even at 35,000 there is almost no noise. This wonderful manicure/pedicure set was well thought-out to include just about everything you might need. It comes with a cloth zippered case and has form fitting places in the form of a plastic insert which holds the device and all of the accessories neatly. The plastic insert can be removed if you prefer. The case retains its shape if you remove the insert. The inside lid of the case has a mesh pocket where you can keep the power cord and the manual. The case does not have a handle. In the case: Power cord with a micro USB end to charge up the device, Dust shield, 10 attachments, and a User Guide. No plug for the cord. The attachments are: Sapphire cone – to remove dry skin and calluses from feet and manicures the toenails. Coarse Sapphire wheel – Files nails quickly Fine Sapphire wheel – Files nails. Finer than the coarse wheel to file more gently and slowly Felt cone – For buffing and polishing Cylindrical Grinder – Grinds and smooths toenails Pointed Grinder – Removes ingrown toenails. Small for precise use. Round Sapphire Grinder – Removes corns. Use carefully. Needle-shaped Cutter – Precision tool. Used on ingrown nails or parts of dead nails. Fine Sapphire callus file – Removes calluses on the soles and heel of the feet. Crystal callus file – Use on thick, hard skin or large calluses on soles or heel. Charge up your device for about 3 hours before your first use and the charge should last about 2 hours according to the manual. You have to have your device turned off to charge it. It will flash red and green if it isn’t. It will flash with 3 blue lights if everything is OK. When the 3 blue lights are solid, it is charged. The power button on the device has 3 positions. Up, Middle, and Down. Down turns the attachment counter-clockwise and you will see a red light. Up turns the attachment clockwise and you will see a green light. The middle position is off. I thought I would not need to change the device from clockwise to counterclockwise and back again, but I found myself changing it while I was working to make it easier, so I see why this feature was included. The plus and minus buttons on the device control the speed. There are 3 speed settings. The instructions say to always start at the lowest speed and only increase the speed if needed. I never used it any faster. I thought the slowest setting was more than adequate. There is an automatic switch-off after 20 minutes. I like that the device is cordless, because I was holding it at all sorts of different angles to do my pedicure. Nail dust was flying everywhere so I attached the Dust Shield to keep it from flying up in my face. It worked great for that. It doesn’t catch the dust. It just protects it from getting it in your eyes or accidentally breathing it in. There is an LED light. If you use one of the larger attachments, it will block the light from shining where you are working. Also it was too difficult to try to always keep the light on the area I was working. I did use it though. I would stop for a second and shine the light on the spot to better see how it was looking. My First Pedicure with the Beurer: I started out using the coarse sapphire wheel on my toenails. That quickly got them filed down. I switched to the Fine Sapphire wheel to smooth the edge and “fine tune" my nail filing. Next, I used the Sapphire cone to remove my cuticles from my toenails and to decrease some of the slight thickness of the nails on my great toes. Then I switched to the Pointed Grinder to get the cuticles at the corners and to fine tune any cuticles that I had missed, as well as getting the corners of my great toe nails. I followed that up with the Felt cone to buff my toenails. I used both the Fine Sapphire Callus file and the Sapphire Cone on calluses and dry skin on my feet. I really loved the sapphire cone and how it made my rough skin feel baby smooth. I used the Sapphire Cone mostly for that. You do not have to use a lot of pressure for the attachments to work. In fact, very little pressure will be much safer while providing excellent results. Also use the attachments in circular movements, except when shortening the nails. At first, I was trying to keep my feet positioned over a small waste basket, but dust was flying everywhere, so I ended up sitting on a bath mat and letting the dust fall onto the mat, which is easily washable, or can be vacuumed. Before retirement, I was an RN and often took care of diabetics, including their foot nail care. I would have loved to have had this tool. I feel with proper use (not too much pressure and using circular motions) it would be very suitable for them with minimal risk. When I was working, only an RN was allowed to do the nail care on a diabetic’s feet. The reason for this was because of the risk of injury using the sharp cutting tools that were the only things available at the time. I love this product! I had to say goodbye to the nail salon during the past 18 months due to the pandemic, and I was in dire need of a new pedicure set. This one is rechargeable and has many other nice features as well. One of the overall design features that I like the best is that the Nail Pro Premium by beurer of Germany comes in a nice zip case along with everything you need to groom your nails, whether you need a manicure or a pedicure. The product is of a high-quality design and comes with 10 different sapphire and felt attachments that seem to meet all needs for nail care of manicuring or pedicures. It comes with a dust shield that fits neatly over any of the attachments and has an LED light that illuminates during use. The Nail Pro Premium charges easily with a micro-USB cable and needs to be charged for three (3) hours before the first use. It seems to hold that charge quite well and last up to about two (2) hours of use for each three (3) hours of charge. There is a speed control of three (3) speeds, and a control to make the attachments rotate in either direction. The unit is ergonomic and fits well in the hand which makes it easier to control and do detail work. The cordless operation also allows for more movement of use while using the device for either a manicure or a pedicure. I love how it works so well and then neatly packs back into its zip case where it is all contained for the next use. It only weighs 4.69 ounces so it can easily be packed in your travel case for an extended trip. The Nail Pro Premium comes with a limited lifetime warranty for the original owner of the product. I haven’t seen another this neatly designed or organized that has the power of this particular product. I definitely recommend it if you need a nail care system. I was in the middle of finishing a table and needed a delicate tool for the difficult small spaces. This Dremel worked perfectly. Lightweight, included the standard tools that were needed and a great price point. I've managed to find other uses for it around the house, shop and barn. I go through about 4-5 of these each year. As a shell-carver, I use them for work. This model is the most useful to me. However, I’m so sick to death of the inconsistent quality of Drexel. Maybe 1 in 3 will work exactly as it should when it comes out of the box. The one I just bought is among the other 2/3 — I think, finally, today, I have everything tightened/loosened enough to work at full speed — but I’m pretty sure one of the wires is loose inside. I don’t want to open it up yet. I’ve gotten some that won’t turn on; others that last 3 weeks and then meltdown — literally melt — like, smoking plastic. But this is, otherwise, a really useful tool.Blake

I have been using Dremel products for over 40 years and I am always impressed with there quality and surprised they can provide it so economically. I am a professional wood carver and always have from four to five of these surrounding me so that I don't have to change bits constantly as I am working. This is my first with the new EZ change in the head of the tool. Even better. It works slick. And they always seem to be improving the variable speed switch so that it lasts longer . These switches in the past have over a period of time developed "drop outs" in them. Places where when you try to set the speed in that area on the variable the tool just stops, and you have to move it up and down to find a sweet spot where it works again. I used to think this was caused buy sawdust in the tool but I don't think that's the whole story. I have cleaned mine and to no avail. But this problem doesn't occur until about two years of heavy use.YoYoTangle

I picked up a JobMate rotary tool but upgraded to a Dremel because the bits are much better made and it comes with some attachments that add to the versatility of the kit. Some of these attachments (a router, a spin saw) are gimmicky, but a couple like the chain saw sharpening kit and the flexible shaft are really helpful and take care of jobs that can’t be done with your regular tools. The JobMate for $10 on sale is not a ripoff, but it can’t be compared to an actual Dremel in terms of performance, durability and versatility. I picked up a kit of JobMate attachments to go with that tool, but they tend to break down quickly compared to the Dremel line. The sanding cylinders, grinding stones, and cut off disks all had much shorter lives compared to their Dremel counterparts. Attachments routinely fell out of the JobMate tool. The Dremel collet is a lot better than the JobMate one in terms of opening and tightening, and so far I've never had a Dremel-brand head fall out. (Some of the leftovers from my JobMate and MasterCraft kit will occasionally fall out.) I went with the 300 series because it was in my price range and it came with a clamping table for small jobs. I've only had the tool four months, so no comments on durability aside from the fact it has outlasted my JobMate and I've put it to a lot heavier use. I've used it for a limited number of projects, mostly woodworking and handyman related jobs. Here's how the tool fared: 1. I bought the chain saw sharpener kit and it worked out very well on an electric chainsaw we picked up. It was a lot faster than using a file, and the results were as sharp. 2. The Dremel did a great job cleaning off some old paint scrapers and doing the rough sharp some of old anvil pruners, but I still needed to use a honing stone to finish the job. 3. I sanded some decorative pieces to glue onto a bird feeder and some Barbie furniture. It's great for this kind of detail cutting, shaping and sanding. 4. I engraved my initials into a cell phone, wood, and some leftover sheet metal. It was very easy to hold for this type of detail working. 5. The round cut off heads are great for removing nails or screws that poke out above the wood. It made quick work of cutting through them and the heads lasted a lot longer than ones I got with my JobMate. Dremel has every kind of attachment you can think of. I bought the router one, but it was soon sent back because it just didn't offer the kind of depth control I wanted. Also, 1.15 amps just isn't enough juice to cut wood at a speed that you can get with even the most basic router. I think that as a basic rotary tool, the Dremel can't be beat. When you start sinking funds into fancy attachments, you are spending money better spend on a power tool that will outperform the Dremel. The selection of bits that come with the kit sold by Canadian Tire is limited. You will find yourself quickly buying up replacements and specialized bits like an engraver. For woodworking (shaping, sanding) and basic handyman jobs (sharpening tools) , the Dremel is great. It costs (a lot) more than a JobMate or MasterCraft, but it's also a lot better in terms of performance, versatility, and durability."sandymauer

I bought the Dremel 3000 with Flexi Shaft for Hobby purposes. I am giving my old Dremel to a friend. I like the new one better because it has a slower revolution speed than my old one. I also like it because of the Flexi Shaft attachment . OK, with that said and done I have been laughing my head off over some of the negative reviews and questions. Guys, the Dremel is a light tool for small jobs. I would never keep the motor running for an extended periods of time or use it for "heavy" chores. Pick the right tool for the right job. Would you buy a light truck to tow a 30 ft. trailer? Also for anybody that is curious, you should not hammer in nails with your Dremel. 😉Larry

Bought this cordless Dremel to cut out rotten timber from window & door frames prior to repairing them. I use a specialist repair system and the mini handheld tool they supply is very expensive. I decided to get the Dremel because its a proper multi function tool. I've used it on wooden frames and even to cut grout out from tiles. Its brilliant. The charge lasts a good time, the work light is excellent and the tools supplied with the Dremel are comprehensive – I've added more already. Its easy to handle and not heavy. Purchased the Dremel 8220-2 45 Piece 12V Li-Ion Multi-Tool Kit 1 x 2.0Ah a few weeks back and although I don't agree with organizations requesting reviews almost immediately after purchase – if manufacturers had faith in their product they would wait 6 months to a year to request feedback. Anyway to break my rule, I purchased the kit to replace an aging JML multi-tool kit which survived well over 10 years doing tiny/small jobs. Having paid quite a bit more money for the Dremel, you can instantly notice the difference in build quality. The Dremel seems fairly robust (ask me again in 10 years and I'll confirm) and seems capable of handling the tasks thrown at it – so far I have only used it for detail sanding. My only gripes with the tool are as follows; 1. The weight of the tool would make me question whether it would be suitable for use in delicate craft like situations; 2. I would question whether the lowest speed setting of 5000 rpm is suitable for craft users or maybe it's myself not being familiar with the difference in performance between my old kit and the new. I haven't rated the Reliability as I do not think I can give a relevant opinion based on a few weeks of ownership.Logan_03

I have a deluxe Dremel system; however, mine is corded which really limits what and where I can do my work without an extension cord. I have 100 yards of extension cord for outdoor use but it is cumbersome if you talk about cleanup, setup and practice use. There is more practicality since you do not have to deal with a long cord that may inhibit certain angles or positions that you may need to get the job done. After acquiring this particular cordless version, I feel truly liberated. Now, I can freely go into the backyard and work on sanding areas on my wrought iron fence, our 20 year old basketball goal post, and working around the garage. The biggest advantage of this Dremel system is the EZ Twist system which allows you to place, rotate and lock the various attachments without having to resort to additional tools/screws. It is a more expensive option but when you need speed and convenience or you have limited time, then there is no better alternative. There are various accessories that allow for polishing, sanding, cutting, drilling, engraving, wood etching, and even sharpening. The handy case keeps it all organized. The unit is ergonomic, lightweight and easy to operate. Adjusting revolutions is facilitated with a tactile dial that works even with thin or medium weight working gloves. Battery life has been excellent and I have never been on a job where I ran out of power, though most of my jobs take only an hour or hour and a half, at most. Dremel brand products have always been a reliable, economical and versatile lineup for me and my workshop.EagleVision
