There was not anything I did not like about this product. It covered nicely without being chalky or thick. It was quite effective in covering ridges in my nail. It stayed on for a good amount of time and I could give my nails multiple coats without becoming gummy or sticky. The price point was a little higher but the product was worth the extra bucks.jaye.r
A little pricey but honestly so good. As soon as I dipped the brush I knew it was going to be good. It went on so smooth and so perfectly neat. I have the most unbelievably weak nails and am so vitamin deficient that my nails never grow well. I have managed to get them all a similar length so wanted something to keep them a little protected until I am confident enough to go to a salon for a proper manicure. Base coat and top coat are very particular things. There definitely seems to be chemistry involved, that is, your chemistry and how it works with the product. Just as some colours will look good on you and others won't, base coats can be really tricky. This ridge filler (let's face it, it's also a base coat) and I don't have great chemistry. It's kind of okay, but it's mostly just meh. It doesn't seem to help the ridges especially (my ridges are not terribly pronounced), and it tends to be quite sticky, even after it supposedly dries. I also find that it makes the polish take longer to dry, even when using quick-dry drops or quick-dry top coat. I'm sure this works great for some people, but for me, not so much, sadly. Love this awesomeness. I’m getting really good (second time using it) getting the hang of doing my apex and getting everything all salon pretty. Until I’m used to the viscosity though I just use tips under it for ease. Totally addicted to this stuff and it’s my first builder gel, only way I’d be getting a different brand was if they didn’t make or have this anymore, it comes with a little book of technique lessons too if your not already in the know either professionally or via tutorials or education- I will say though that I’d have really apriciated some mini samples of oil or something else etc but I mostly buy korean beauty products and they slather you in free samples so I’m used to being spoiled ?. First of all, I am a beginner and doing nails at home. O have very weak and fragile nails. I have never managed to grow them long and last for ever. Then a gel nail polish came to do the trick. Not quite as the nails steel chipped. I needs a product which makes them hard and strong. I went through reviews and chose something performing badly. This product is exactly what I needed. It makes the nails thick, it makes cracked edges unified and also managed to extend when needed. It is not easy to achieve an even surface but I guess it is cos of my skills. In overall, I am satisfied with this gel. I wish to wait couple of weeks to share how my natural nails are doing after long term using. Good luck and do not hesitate. I purchased the NailTek Nail Recovery Kit after my nails were slightly damaged from using gel nail polish. I used this product for a few weeks and my nails got weaker and more brittle. I could not grow my nails at all and they would break while so short that they hurt. I stopped using this product and switched to Sally Hansen Advanced Hard as Nails Strengthener. My nails are finally growing and looking much healthier. I would not spend the money on this product.Tina
I got this in a whim. My nails have been all ridged and flaking ever since the pandemic started. The hand sanitizer and not getting acrylics anymore combined with age and they just look d awful, it sucked. Polish doesn't last and I tried other similar products that peeled or flakes much more easily. I am a hair dresser snd pretty rough with my hands so it does peel off occasionally but I am super impressed with this product's durability! The main thing I noticed right away is that over the years my nails had become flatter and wider, this product seems to have encouraged them back to their proper arched shape and they are much easier to shape the same same now.Betsy
I did acrylic nails for a couple years and I had the bad habit of peeling them off. I used this and in just a couple weeks they were healed (not back to normal, but more smooth, less painful, and not so weak and thin). Lately I’ve been doing the glue on nails, but I have the same problem where I peel them off every week and a half to two weeks so that I can do a fresh set. After several times ripping off the glued nails, my nails have become so so thin and painful, so I started using this again. Sure enough in just a few days I started noticing a difference. I also appreciate that this kit is relatively inexpensive for what you get end how well it works.

I really love how easy it was to use. With it going on pink and dries white takes all the guess work out of knowing when it's dry. I have 3 boys in my house so there's always some kind of accident happening. We had a hole in our hallway that had been there for months and we finally fixed it and you can't even tell anything happened. It went on very easily and with only one coat. Our home was built in 1983 so my husband and I are constantly trying to upgrade/remodel and this helped out when remodeling the bathroom. In my bedroom I had a wall of mirrors and some of them had broke so it looked bad with those missing so we took the rest down and of course that wall was now a wall of holes. I was able to use this to fill all the holes without ever knowing there were that many holes in the wall. It has a mild odor but nothing too bad. My only negative that I have about this product is that I had to use a flathead screwdriver to get the lid off and that was still hard. I would definitely recommend this and would continue using this.
I agree with another review, Had to leave a positive after so many negative. I've used it for nail holes, larger empty anchor holes. small patch jobs, and general filler where the towel bar was forced out. Used in kitchen, bathroom, hallway bedroom and living room. Not a problem anywhere. It does get harder to get out as there is less product, that's to be expected. I used my plastic spackle tool to run over the outside of the tube to bring it to the top. Will use again and recommend highly for it's ease of use.
I love using this for small areas, it works just like mud, without the mixing and guessing. I always suggest waiting 30 more minutes after the entire area turns white before you lightly sand, because it’s still damp and will transfer to your sanding block. It’s perfect for small to medium size jobs. It’s only roughly $10 at Home Depot, for 32oz can. Don’t be fooled by the small can with the spatula included, that’s where they get you. The first bottle of Barielle I ordered and used was the beginning of a great experience. My nails never looked as good as they did after my first polish. They were so much thicker and I could keep them growing until I wanted to change my regular polishes. Even the color of my assortment of polish colors stayed on so much longer and looked fresher many days more than they had before. After reading about this so-called miracle product for years, I finally decided to purchase it for my problem nails. I am so disappointed in it. It goes on like a nail polish and is very shiny. After about a day, it starts coming off, just like nail polish. When you take it off with nail polish remover, your nails are weaker than ever and in worse condition than before. I even purchased a nail polish remover without acetone so this would not happen. I do not recommend this product to anyone who has nails that crack and peel. I wasted my money.
I have strong nails, but have one that splits vertically so I've used silk wrap with gel nail products to keep from snagging it on everything. I read about this nail product in a catalog sent to my mom. Ordered this – pricy – and the light pink nailpolish. I work hard with my hands and hated the process of removing gel products from my nails and they usually felt rough after it was removed for new polish. However, this product comes off just like any other nail polish. The difference I've noted is that it lasts longer on my nail and doesn't thicken after wearing a bit. Keeps its luster, didn't notice ends roughing up, snagging, or breaking of the ends which even my gel polish didn't stop. I reordered this and the beige – I like natural looking nails – because my sister has started taking it from my bathroom. She's 55, some things never change……

As soon as pandemic hit, my nail salon closed. I let cut down my acrylics and eventually soaked them in Acetone and removed them. My nails were weak, thin, brittle and have horizontal lines and cracks. I bought Rocket Fuel in Hope's that it would help my nails. They were already grown out from the acrylic damage but were just weak, brittle and had these ridges, causing me to have to keep them very short. Used Rocket Nail Fuel for the recommended 8 weeks. No changes in my nails…still weak, brittle and ridged. Besides that about 3/4s through the bottle, the polish became very thick and hard to apply. Also, by the time I was at my third coat my nails had a blue tinge which just looked weird. I wrote customer service and was told that there was no blue tinge…"Hello, am I seeing things?" And that to remedy the thickness of the polish, I should add a few drops of Acetone. Really? I thought the whole concept behind Rocket Fuel was that it had natural, healthy ingredients. Now you want me to put Acetone into the product to thin it out? All in all, if I could give it zero stars I would. I did get a refund though, so that is the upswing. I did go to my dermatologist and he looked at my nails and the remainder of what was in the bottle of Rocket Fuel and said, it seemed I paid over $20 for a product that I could buy at the drugstore for under $5 and that by the smell of the product it smells just like any other nail polish out there and I would do best to go back to using my good old standby odor Black Jamaiican Castor Oil which amazingly cured the fungus under my toenails and does help moisturize my fingernails…and costs a fraction of what Beaute Garde's Rocket Fuel (Can you say $1 at the Dollar Tree?). Dont fall for these high price gimmicky beauty products, when there are natural things out there that cost next to nothing and do much more.
I was extremely excited when I saw the FB ad in regards to strong nails not breaking. I have very thin, peeling nails and the sides of my thumb's split so I thought this would answer my prayers. I have put three coats on over a week and a half and I had FOUR nails break on me! The cost at $23 and the product not working is totally RIDICULOUS!! My nails were all the same length and they were long and I was so looking forward to this product working and I am extremely disappointed! It made my nails extremely hard but when they started breaking over simply opening the car door that is absolutely ridiculous! I am not using my nails as tools to open packages and I'm very careful because I have thin nails. But when you're opening your car door and your nail breaks it's just ludicrous! This product does not do what it says it does! I had to cut my nails down all the way because of the FOUR breaks I had two on each hand!! I would definitely not recommend this product to anybody and unfortunately I did to a friend and she bought it but she is in Costa Rica right now and I have no communication with her right now but when she gets back I really want to know how she made out! I had to give this one star because I cannot give it a zero star and give a review but it kills me to give one star!! Okay, so I have very ridge filled nails. I don’t know what causes it, but I feel like it makes my nails look terrible. As someone who loves to wear toenail polish but not nail polish, I hoped this sheer formula would even put my nails and make less self conscious. Well, It did!! My nails look shiny and pretty when i use this. My only gripe is that even with two coats, it peels off after hand washing dishes. My nails haven't been this healthy or long in more than two years!! They got trashed, first from a home gel manicure, then from pregnancy-constantly peeling and splitting. I literally couldn't scrape bits of food off my kitchen counter without it ripping my nail. 😫 I had to cut them super short over and over, and they still peeled past that. I tried Hard As Hoof, the Pink base coat stuff, special polish remover, Hair Skin & Nails gummies-nothing helped, and I was so afraid they were ruined for life. Then I happened to come across this at Ulta, and I'm SO HAPPY I tried it!!! My whole life (30+ years) I've had weak, peeling nails. I've tried "nail vitamins", biotin, and tons of other topical nail products (including Nail Envy and NailTek). Nothing worked at all. I felt I had to keep my nails polished constantly to make them presentable (which was causing more peeling, in the end). In early June one of my nails peeled & split down to the quick – it was so painful & unsightly, I had to try something. I like CND's Solar Oil so I bought this. HOLY COW…! Using it for 4 weeks 2x daily has FINALLY solved my nail issues!! It is a little hard to accept you can't wear polish for those 4 weeks but IT. IS. WORTH IT. Not only do my nails no longer peel, they are stronger and are growing longer than they ever have in my life. I wish I took before & after photos because the change is miraculous. I don't even want to wear polish anymore, they look that good. Now I only need this very occasionally, for a day or two if my nails are exceptionally dry. The rest of the time the Solar Oil and hand creams do the trick. 11/10, I cannot recommend this magical product enough!Cat
It's not a miracle but I think it's worth the money. I have 3 fingernails that grow out in layers, like shale, and one – the critical index finger in my right hand – that splits down the center and has to be filled down to the quick to keep from catching on things. I haven't had a manicure in years, so it's not from abusive products. My nails are both brittle and soft. Dry-dry-dry New England winters and intensive gardening (with gloves) in the summer don't help. I started using CND Rescue Rxx last winter and I am seeing improvement, particularly on the "shale nails." Not healed, but improved. Index finger, I think, is being fixing. It's also summer now so it's more humid, which helps with the dryness and bits popping off when I hit a hard surface head-on with any nail. I try to use the product daily (sometimes miss) and often twice a day. I know it takes nails a long time to grow out, so I will wait patiently. Figure this will have to be a long-term procedure for me, but I've seen enough improvement to keep at it.carpsmarsh

I just used this for the first time a few days ago. Wow! I had a nail that was broken so far down and almost all the way across. I wouldn’t have been able to cut it back without lots of pain and blood. I followed the instructions for using this product, and it couldn’t have been easier. Two coats, light buffing, and now you could not tell after polish that there was ever a break. My nail looks great, feels strong, and best of all, I think it will hang in there until the break grows out far enough to make it bearable. Amazing!mariam.b
This stuff works great, I was using it for a year before covid and quarantine hit, when like a lot of ladies, I started attempting "dip nails" at home. Then I realized that it's kind of like dipped nails. So, now I pretty much "dip nail" to repair my permanantly broken nail. Now, back to the Orly nail rescue kit. It does work great, however, you will run out of glue (or it will just get hard and not be able to be opened) before you run out nail repair powder. I want this as an ongoing use for my permanently broken nail. The little nail file that's included is not really needed since we all have nail files at home, and once you use this teeny-tiny nail file, then meh. I've tried using Kiss nail glue with the Orly nail repair powder, but unfortunately, that does't work. So, we flat out need more Orly brush-on nail glue in this kit. It would be more worth the money if it came with 3 bottles of the glue and one little tub of powder for the $10/$15. I wish I could buy the glue separately to use with my extra powder that i still have left over. I've bought a 2nd kit, for more glue, but am still using the powder from kit 1. Please, Orly, start selling the glue separately, or add more bottles of glue to the kits. ThanksSparkELisa
Let me first say how much I hate my nails! They grow at different rates, they are super weak and the white tips are all different- some go straight across, some are curved, and some are not symmetrical. I'm not a fan of acrylic nails because of how thick they are and I don't like being held to an appt every 2 weeks. This product is so easy to use and works! I like to keep my nails polished because it hides the inconsistencies. I can't believe how strong this made my nails! I was almost going to clip a nail that was about to rip because it was so weak, and that's the day it was delivered! So far, that nail has survived a whole week! I highly recommend this! I also recommend 2 coats. The only thing that might be a con is the amount of glue vs the powder. I'm thinking I will run out of glue way before the powder. Oh, and the glue twist off cap/brush is great because it hasn't gotten stuck!Kerrkerr

This is not good spackle-type compound. It is way too dry per what comes out of the tip…then it dries up and is impossible to get any more out of the tube in the proper way. When I cut into the tube, the stuff that came out was runny, watery, and bad. I threw out this awful stuff after only a couple uses, both of which were very difficult to manage via squeezing the tube. I definitely do NOT recommend this product.nvr2amzd
I moved into a home that I made a deal to fix up with no deposit. There were nail holes everywhere because the last tenants couldn't find the wall stubs. This spackle will not squeeze out at all!!! First of all the foil would not come off so got plyers and still could not peel off so just poked a hole through foil. Then the spackle was way too thick to come out the hole. Yes I kneeded it before hand and tube seems soft enough but seems like the top (where the foil cover is) is maybe dried up, like too hard to squeeze out. I would NOT recommend this product to anyone( not even my enemies) I will by DAP next time. I only put one star cause it was required but I actually I rate it a 0 star.David
