Used this product for the first time today and was very pleased with the results. I have had several rotary tool type nail trimmers over the years to compare. The tool was fairly quiet and the dogs did not fight like they usually do. I have always loved and trusted Dremel and this continues with the Pawcontrol trimmer. Ive bought several different dremel type nail trimmers for my dogs none have worked this good ever. I have large dogs and trimming nails is not an easy task but this files those nails fast and easy. Love this product!!blondfish

i received this from influenster complimentary for me to review and give my honest opinion. First of all, I was extremely impressed and excited when i received this as my dogs are petrified to get their nails trimmed but when i opened it and plugged it in, NOTHING. I know it isn't influensters fault as they get things prepackaged, but mine came defective. It WONT turn on. Idk if there's a short in the cord itself or if something inside of it is mechanically wrong. so, I'm kind of bummed I can't review it or use it but these things happen. Maybe next time. Another great experience trying out the Conair Propet Nail Grinder. This baby is really a value! For around $35 you can trim your pets nails at home comfortably and safely. It's very simple to use and since it's ergonomically designed to be extremely lightweight, comfortable to hold and has a grip so the tool won't slip from your hand there's no fumbling around with it while your pet anxiously waits. Super light, extremely durable and feels like it's constructed with high quality materials so it should last a good while. My experience with my scariest scaredy-dog was quick and stress free because number one it's whisper quiet! Definitely high marks for that! And number two very light vibration so it won't scare the s**t out of your animal and won't tire your arm and hand out! Last but not least it has a safety guard ( it's adjustable Even! ) so as to not pull your doggos hair into the grinder while it's spinning. The only reason I'm not rating it a full 5 stars is because it's corded which just makes it a problem trying to hold your pet and keep them calm and still for ease of use.. Very cool professional corded nail grinder by CONAIRPRO. Can be used for all size and breads. Quiet, ergonomic and powerful. Had a protective adjustable guard cover which prevents unwanted hair in rotating head. Has interchangeable stone and grinding replacements included – 2 finishing stones, 4 grinding bands, grinding drum, and wrench tool. Very easy to use but unfortunately Sam was not having us video or take pictures while doing this. Lol As you can see he is hiding his feet . It is the quietest one we ever used which was great because Sam always gives us a hard time. Works great!michelle .i

I have a full sized golden retriever and this worked a lot better than expected. It has two settings and the lowest one works perfectly. It has 4 or 5 different sized holes in the top that keep you from shaving off too much. I had never used this before and didn't want to use the clippers because I was afraid of cutting them too short. With these he'll pull away if he feels any uncomfort. I got all of his nails over a two day period and it's almost addicting. There's really no cons about this tool. If you go to fast you can smell some burning of the nails but that's only when you push too hard.Brian

I’ve bought two of these. The first is a bit quieter then the second one. I think it works great and my dog (Chinese Crested) hates her nails clipped however she sits for the nail grinder without much fuss. The rough brown attachment grinds down faster but is a little noisier. The stone like attachment smooths and is more quiet. I like this item. The only reason I bought the second one is I needed attachments and it was just easier in this time of limited stock. Don’t know what I would do without it because otherwise I would have to make trips to the groomer at my vets office.Snepp

This is crap! I bought this today, and it didn’t even last 3 minutes. The second speed never worked, so i was forced to work with the first that would randomly stop. Until the screw that kept the sanding band on sprung off and cracked the safe guard. I tightened the screw and it popped off again in less than a minute. I have had many problems with this unit long term. First use was wonderful, but shortly later the batteries corroded. Since then, I have cleaned all the contacts and greased and installed new batteries and all was working again. Now, the sanding disk is slipping and so does NOT grind the nails. The disk is still in good shape and I even still have the second new disk to replace it with, but they BOTH slip and do not grind the nails consistently. It is like the rubber has shrunk and doesn't hold the sanding disk secure. TOTALLY disappointing. The furminator brush is just so effective, it is SUCH a disappointment to see that the nail clipper is such poor quality and so short lived.kugiej

I am not pleased with the Furminator as the little grinding bands do not stay in place, but tend to slide down the tumbler out of reach. On the slower speeds they will stop rotating if even slight pressure is applied. I am very happy with how quiet this grinder is and I like the plastic guard. It's comfortable to hold, but it doesn't work well. I have 2 dogs, one medium size with almost clear white nails and a larger dog with dark nails.gmac

I was planning on purchasing this product, based on it being apparently approved, advertised, and sold through 1800PetMeds. After reading the reviews, which are very fee and not very positive, I have definitely changed my mind. I will continue searching other products and providers for a similar product for my dog. When I saw this available through 1800PetMeds, I definitely expected much better reviews, and a better product. Disappointed & confused. First one got here damage. Bubble wrap inside popped, asumming it bounced all around and got damage. Exchange at store, excellent customer service. First timers like me, start slow so you can get use to the grinder. It might not look like it’s grinding but it is. The higher speed will grind fast. It’s hard to tell which one is the 100 grid and which one is the 60 grid. They felt the same to me. Do not try to tighten all the way down without inserting the tip first. If you do you will push the gold holder and squeeze the holder shut which will not let you insert the tip. When you receive, simply press the button. Loosen a little more, insert the tip and tighten. Turn the power on and your set to go. Used it twice and my dogs nails are smooth. I used medium speed on my dachshund and miniature poodle and then a slower speed to shape and fine nails. For my pit bull I used a higher speed as his nails are bigger and stronger. So far so good. And yes weird set dogs but they all get along and al indoor dogs. Long story short I saved the pit bull and the dachshund and all got along great. Hope this review helps you, enjoy.Josh1824

When I started my search for a good nail grinder, I knew I needed something powerful for my newfoundland-labrador mix. He's nails are very thick. This works really well to grind them down. It's not cordless, but I think that's better. The battery-operated grinders I've used in the best will not be as powerful as the battery drains. I think this is also a really good value as I've seen similar grinders for double the price. Overall, I'm really happy with it.BrittanyG

This product worked great for the first few times I used it but then it bogged down so much that it didn't take much pressure to stop the wheel from spinning. I wasn't dirty or misused. I contacted Petco and they sent a replacement (kudos for their great customer service) but that one also stopped working after maybe half a dozen uses. I have 2 8lb dogs and their nails shouldn't be too much for a product that costs $50. I'm really disappointed in this product and now I can't get a replacement because somehow the order disappeared out of my order history so I can't prove I purchased it even though it was an online order. I guess I have to buy something else and HOPE it lasts longer than a couple months. 🙁shannon4475

The nail grinder I wanted is no longer in production and this one looks similar so I bought one. It is nice and quiet. Only problem is the sanding tube moves slightly during use but have experienced this with other grinders and can fix this.V P.

My dog is a rescue. When I rescued her there was no touching her paws. Now with lots of work I'm able to file her nails. I love this nail grinder. It took some effort to get my dog to cooperate including patience, praise, and a lot of treats. He is still terrified but goes along with the procedure. Taking small steps – his nails were very long – I managed to painlessly file the nails to nearly ideal length. I personally was thrilled to get this pet mail trimmer, for several reasons. My large dog needed hers done badly and I was always terrified to trim them myself because God forbid I cut them too deep, I would feel awful and so would she for separate reasons, lol!! I would’ve taken her to the vet but she hates going there since she got spayed. When I found out about this mail grinder it was like it was meant for me…or, at least people like me. Now, I can trim her nails any time I was and I don’t feel anxious at all. The only problem is that she does have thicker nails and the grinder takes a while to get her nails down t where I want them, and obviously that takes time. She doesn’t like to sit still that long so I find that she tries to get away right in the middle of her mani, lol. I've had several nail grinders over the years both battery powered and electric and this one is one of the best ones I've had. It's whisper quite witch is a plus for my small dogs who sometimes get nervous with the loud noise of the other grinders I've used. The safety cap is nice so you dont have the whole stone exposed and it lessens the chance of hair getting tangled up in it too and keeps the stone in place also witch is something my higher priced dremel dosen't have. It works well on my small dogs however I can't say how well it would work on bigger dogs with more thicker nails though. Bottom line it works well for me and the cost was pretty reasonable too.bigdaddyg79

I have two dogs who weigh 30 & 55 pounds. The battery dies before I can finish two paws on the small dog. I have used a Dremel for years but the heavy vibration and noise scared my 55 pound puppy so I decided to try the Andis grinder. The puppy is very accepting of this grinder, which makes it worth the purchase. It just needs to be plugged in during use.lileejewel

My German Shepard mix never liked nails clipped. It was 2 people job until I used this grinder. She let me use on her nails a lot less resistance. She still dont like me taking her paws but it is a lot easier than I expected. Since her nails are not sharp, I think my leather couch would last longer. I am just an amateur dog owner hoping hoping to cheap out from paying $20 a month for my dog\'s nail grinding appointment. First try, it worked for my nail-cutter-fearing dog. Granted, I did take some precautions to familiarize her with the grinder, but it\'s definitely much easier to use. man this thing is so much better then the clippers. this is some heavy duty tools and perfect for using on my 85 lb pitbull. i used it on the second setting, ran the drummel and then pulled away, went back down pulled away, and just like that… because the machine and nail gets hot, so you cant run the drummel on the nail or it will get hot. always pull away after every 5 seconds to ensure that your dog is comfortable and the experience doesnt become traumatic. and be careful how low you go because the machine can make them bleed as well. its a very good tool to have and i prefer this over the clippers!!DIAMOND

So this is the Melody Susie Sheen Nail Drill. I ordered this in 2019. 5 STARS y'all!! It gets all five stars from me because it's just that good and still works as it did the day I bought it, 3 years ago. My bf loves for me to do his nails with this 😆 (he's a diva too). First thing I noticed when I unboxed it is it doesn't feel light, plastic-y and cheap. It has a "for professionals" feel to it. You may not know what I mean but you'll see once you order one. It works so good y'all! It comes with 6 drill bits and a case for storage, 6 sanding bands of diff grit levels, a baggie of sanding bands, user manual, the actual electric drill, and the power cord. The drill has two spins: clockwise and counter, plus it has a dial to go fast or slower. And the best part, it does an awesome job! I can't even fit everything I want to say in this review. I think my dogs'nails are too long to start with this. They hate getting their nails cut (and I hate doing it) so they've gotten beyond long. The grinder is quiet and the dogs don't seem to mind it, but it is too keep short nails short, not to trim down long nails.Tara

This works terrific for doing my umbrella cockatoos toenails. She normally hates having her nails trimmed, and she cries and fights getting them done. She was a bit apprehensive at first, but soon realized it didn't hurt and now allows me too do them. It quiet, so it doesn't frighten her like a dremmel, and it doesn't hurt or cause bleeding like cutting them with clippers. I would recommend this product for larger birds.Karen

The reason I bought it was the reviews said it was quiet, and it is, very quiet. It is also a little weak. But that is an ok trade off because my dog is so freaked out about everything. The main thing is it worked and I got it done. And the battery lasted for all four paws. I was getting a little worried it wouldn't. So all in all it did just fine. This wonderful manicure/pedicure set was well thought-out to include just about everything you might need. It comes with a cloth zippered case and has form fitting places in the form of a plastic insert which holds the device and all of the accessories neatly. The plastic insert can be removed if you prefer. The case retains its shape if you remove the insert. The inside lid of the case has a mesh pocket where you can keep the power cord and the manual. The case does not have a handle. In the case: Power cord with a micro USB end to charge up the device, Dust shield, 10 attachments, and a User Guide. No plug for the cord. The attachments are: Sapphire cone – to remove dry skin and calluses from feet and manicures the toenails. Coarse Sapphire wheel – Files nails quickly Fine Sapphire wheel – Files nails. Finer than the coarse wheel to file more gently and slowly Felt cone – For buffing and polishing Cylindrical Grinder – Grinds and smooths toenails Pointed Grinder – Removes ingrown toenails. Small for precise use. Round Sapphire Grinder – Removes corns. Use carefully. Needle-shaped Cutter – Precision tool. Used on ingrown nails or parts of dead nails. Fine Sapphire callus file – Removes calluses on the soles and heel of the feet. Crystal callus file – Use on thick, hard skin or large calluses on soles or heel. Charge up your device for about 3 hours before your first use and the charge should last about 2 hours according to the manual. You have to have your device turned off to charge it. It will flash red and green if it isn’t. It will flash with 3 blue lights if everything is OK. When the 3 blue lights are solid, it is charged. The power button on the device has 3 positions. Up, Middle, and Down. Down turns the attachment counter-clockwise and you will see a red light. Up turns the attachment clockwise and you will see a green light. The middle position is off. I thought I would not need to change the device from clockwise to counterclockwise and back again, but I found myself changing it while I was working to make it easier, so I see why this feature was included. The plus and minus buttons on the device control the speed. There are 3 speed settings. The instructions say to always start at the lowest speed and only increase the speed if needed. I never used it any faster. I thought the slowest setting was more than adequate. There is an automatic switch-off after 20 minutes. I like that the device is cordless, because I was holding it at all sorts of different angles to do my pedicure. Nail dust was flying everywhere so I attached the Dust Shield to keep it from flying up in my face. It worked great for that. It doesn’t catch the dust. It just protects it from getting it in your eyes or accidentally breathing it in. There is an LED light. If you use one of the larger attachments, it will block the light from shining where you are working. Also it was too difficult to try to always keep the light on the area I was working. I did use it though. I would stop for a second and shine the light on the spot to better see how it was looking. My First Pedicure with the Beurer: I started out using the coarse sapphire wheel on my toenails. That quickly got them filed down. I switched to the Fine Sapphire wheel to smooth the edge and “fine tune" my nail filing. Next, I used the Sapphire cone to remove my cuticles from my toenails and to decrease some of the slight thickness of the nails on my great toes. Then I switched to the Pointed Grinder to get the cuticles at the corners and to fine tune any cuticles that I had missed, as well as getting the corners of my great toe nails. I followed that up with the Felt cone to buff my toenails. I used both the Fine Sapphire Callus file and the Sapphire Cone on calluses and dry skin on my feet. I really loved the sapphire cone and how it made my rough skin feel baby smooth. I used the Sapphire Cone mostly for that. You do not have to use a lot of pressure for the attachments to work. In fact, very little pressure will be much safer while providing excellent results. Also use the attachments in circular movements, except when shortening the nails. At first, I was trying to keep my feet positioned over a small waste basket, but dust was flying everywhere, so I ended up sitting on a bath mat and letting the dust fall onto the mat, which is easily washable, or can be vacuumed. Before retirement, I was an RN and often took care of diabetics, including their foot nail care. I would have loved to have had this tool. I feel with proper use (not too much pressure and using circular motions) it would be very suitable for them with minimal risk. When I was working, only an RN was allowed to do the nail care on a diabetic’s feet. The reason for this was because of the risk of injury using the sharp cutting tools that were the only things available at the time. I mention this only to emphasize the importance of being extraordinarily careful when doing pedicure care on diabetics. I really MarilynB

I love this product! I had to say goodbye to the nail salon during the past 18 months due to the pandemic, and I was in dire need of a new pedicure set. I used to own an electric nail care set and it was a good one that lasted for several years, but since it was powered by electricity, I always had to be tethered to the electrical outlet which was not always convenient. This one is rechargeable and has many other nice features as well. First of all, I purchased a purple color and I received a white unit so Im giving it a 4 star. But testing the unit id say its very good! Attached some photos for reference. The unit itself is so lightweight and compact. I can take it anywhere and can easily fit in my tote bag. Great tool for investment for beginners and professionals alike. Im a new, Covid DIY home manicurist.As with any skill theres a definite learning curve when doing our own nailsbut this e-file performs beautifully!!Watch a bunch of videos, keep your expectations reasonable, and with time youll be pleased with your results! Dont expect professional results on day 1, but patience and practice will get you there. Im 7 months in and still mastering filing with my non-dominant hand but videos help. Remember to turn off the unit before switching b/t forward and reverse and when packing up for next time. Overall an excellent e-file for the price, highly recommend!Kathy
