It does let me see where it has worn off on the edges more easily though. My nails are easily broken and thin to begin with, so damaged they are very fragile. This is the Orly Nailtrition treatment polish and it retails for $15 at Ulta. This is suppose to be a nail strengthener for peeling and splitting nails. The formula is thick, shiny, and pink. I was hoping for something more clear. Not a deal breaker. It makes the nails appear bright and shiny. I recently wanted to take a break from getting my nails done and had the acrylic removed. My nails were peeling and thin underneath. I thought I would give this product a try and after a month, I’m really not impressed. It did not make my nails any stronger, nor did it help them grow. Before the COVID situation I would get a gel manicure every two weeks. And now, I do not see myself going back to the nail salon. This mega formula lasts! My nails stay unchipped for 6 days straight! And when they started chipping it was only at the very tip of the nail! I typically only ever need two coats and I dont use a clear top coat. The colors are so pretty! The brush is super skinny I was worried at first, but it's super good, coverge and application is easy! I take off with regular acetone and comes right off – not sure about the glitter ones because I dont have any glitter colors yet, but I imagine it would take a little more effort to remove as with all glitter polishes. I would definitely recommend this nail product if you also struggle with brittle nails prone to breakage. I use the clear as a base coat (although I wouldn’t wear it alone because it can look a little yellow, which seems to be common with clear coats, but figured I would mention it) and I do notice a difference – almost if my nails feel as if they’ve been more fortified. I would be curious to see if using one of the Mega Strength hardener pigmented shades on top of the clear coat would amplify its effect. I always struggle with painting my own nails in the first place, and I'm always looking for a top coat to make my nails look shiny and smooth like a gel polish but also dries fast. This top coat does just that. Sometimes I even use it alone to give my nails a nice shine. It doesn't stay tacky for very long and covers/smooths out any small imperfections in my base coat of color. The brush is big and wide which allows the whole nail to be covered in two swipes. It makes my nails feel very striong as well. Very nice polish! My only complaint is that the top coat peels off easily, especially around the cuticles. It doesn't take much to get a chip in it which also takes the underneath color off as well. I got this in a whim. My nails have been all ridged and flaking ever since the pandemic started. The hand sanitizer and not getting acrylics anymore combined with age and they just look d awful, it sucked. I did acrylic nails for a couple years and I had the bad habit of peeling them off. I used this and in just a couple weeks they were healed (not back to normal, but more smooth, less painful, and not so weak and thin). Long ago I gave up on my nails, trying to just handle them short to curtail their peeling and splitting tendencies. Last march I had a shellac mani to be fancy for a wedding and it ruined my already quite pathetic nails. After several months of trying to grow out a vertical split that had resulted I searched for something that would strengthen them enough to at least get back to normal shorties. Well, I saw this product and the reviews and thought i would give it a try. I did follow directions to the letter, which helped and it was at a vacation time for me so I could stay on track. After the first two weeks I had never seen my nails so 'non splitty' , and something in this is definitely fortifying them. After the initial two weeks I went into the 2 week every other day schedule, and I went ahead and purchased the soy remover as well. Pros: much 'cleaner' product line than any I see. This is certainly a handy all-in-one product that can be used as a base coat, top coat, fill-in, and nail protectant. I typically do gel or dip on my nails because they are very brittle and prone to flaking. I apply this product over my 1+ week old dip nails to give them extra shine. This product has a lovely, moisturizing gel-like texture that gives a wonderful shine. However, because it has a thicker, more moisturizing consistency, it takes a very long time to dry so would probably not be ideal as a top coat for regular nail polish. If you don’t touch it at all, the finish is beautiful, but even if you accidentally touch it hours later before it has fully dried, the finish can become texturized and dull. I think this is best used as a nail protectant over natural nails or over acrylic/dip/gel. It is super easy to apply with a generous large brush and (relatively) minimal nail polish odor. I would recommend this product on polish-breaks between manicures. It is also a great all-purpose travel polish. This treatment was super beneficial for my natural nails. I had just removed my acrylic nails at home with a regular nail file and some acetone, so my nails were weak, dry, and a little brittle. After washing my hands after all the abrasive removal, I put on two layers of this treatment and then some cuticle oil after it dried. Not only are my nails shiny and healthy-looking, they also feel a lot stronger than before. My nails have always been a little weaker and textured, but I genuinely would not be able to see that with this treatment on. My nails are also significantly smoother than they were with all the filing I did. I also found the smell to be quite pleasant compared to normal nail polish and acetone, but maybe that was because I applied it after smelling acetone fumes for a couple hours. While I love it as a treatment, I cannot vouch for it as a base coat nor a top coat, This could be a good “primer” for a base coat, but it doesn’t seem sticky enough to be a good base coat that helps polish adhere to it. I have been learning how to do my own ombre nails and nail stamping. I began using Nail Tek, #2 with the cuticle/nail oil when preparing for my wedding in hopes to grow my own nails. I was given this polish to restore my nails after having a gel manicure for years. I stopped for covid19, as I couldn’t justify the salon trips with a high health risk person in my household. Ive tried a lot of products hoping my nails would stop chipping and breaking. A little story here so be warned: For 20 years I have struggled with anxiety, well with that I had a nervous habit of picking at my nails till they were in the quick. I have used other products from this brand and have been very disappointed. This one has left me very surprised. I've only used it twice so far, and it seems to work great. Can I say that I've seen growth within 3 days? Honestly, I can't really tell. However, I have noticed a definite change in my nail strength. I work a lot with my hands when I make costumes and clothing, and my nails tend to break, chip and crack. Since I started using this, my nails seem stronger. Not for nail growth, but stops nail peeling/brittle nails. Also great as a top and base coat! Ok so I’ve been trying this for 3 months and I haven’t seen any noticeable difference in nail growth rate. However! I have very brittle nails that break and peel if they get long so I’ve always been on the lookout for something that helps and this works wonders! I keep getting compliments on my nails and how I can actually grow them now. I followed the directions for use as applying 2 coats every 3 days and I haven’t had any problems with peeling or my nails breaking when they get longer. I would suggest also painting underneath the nail tip to strengthen both sides. I would recommend for people with brittle nails, but don’t expect faster nail growth. I have used Nailtiques Formula 2 for many years. It absolutely improves the strength and look of my nails. The trick is to use it consistently and follow the directions to apply one coat daily. I make one to three applications a week to maintain the results and make sure I always have this on my nails. I don't wear color polish often but Nailtiques works great as a first coat with color polish as the second. If you are just starting out with Nailtiques I would suggest not using colored polish for the first few weeks and just use Nailtiques to give your nails a good start. I am on the search for the best nail strengthener after a medical procedure made my nails and hair super brittle. I honestly hate doing my nails at home, but if it’s low maintenance and will help my nails, okay fine. This is the third Sally Hansen strengthener I’ve tried, and I’d say jury is still out on which one ultimately is the best, but the diamond strength is nice! With the exception of my pinky finger, as you can see in my photo, you can barely tell where the ANC ends and my natural nail starts. Which is a huge bonus. I also appreciate that there’s a bit of shine to this, since I’m using it alone, but could also be used as a base coat. This also dried very quickly, which is important as I’m busy and use my hands a lot. No smudges!! As far as strength—well, I haven’t chipped my nails since my application last night, but my nails are quite short. And I try to use my nails gingerly anyway. I wore acrylics for about 3 years straight. Maybe more. I finally had decided it was time to take them off, and man were my nails WEAK!! I decided to try this out. It helped my nails so much! The started growing out healthier and stronger and eventually stopped ripping! I wish I had taken progress pictures! I've have tried Sally Henson's Diamond Strength polish. It is a clear polish that has the typical strong chemical smell. It worked well for about a 3 to 4 days on my nails before I noticed it chipping and peeling. Nevertheless, I did notice a break down in the polish before the end of the 7 days. This could have happened because of improper cleaning of my nails the application. The shine of the nail had a lack of luster after drying as well, it would scuff easily. It was a result of the on the job duties that I performed at the time. But, the shine was easy to scuff. However, I did still notice a break down in the polish before 7 days. This isn't a professional gel polish so it will not have that shine that you might be looking for. And it will not sustain that fresh look for a long period of time but for an non professional, over the counter item it will help support your weak nail for a small period of time. So I rated this item with 3 stars. It's not a stellar product in my opinion but I have definitely had a lot worse. So I gave it an average rating, because of the temporary support it gives to your nail but would but advise that results may vary.rita.w

I was sceptical but desperate, as a child I bit my nails and they have never been very strong, in my teens I stopped biting but my nails but they just rip and bend anyway. I've tried loads of other nail strengtheners and none worked a bit, I've been applying this every other day for almost 4 weeks and my nails feel so much thicker and stronger even after removal! They don't bend and my nails for the first time in my life are straight cut and all one length. It is so exciting for me I can't stop tapping my nails on things to hear the sound it makes!!!!!! The only thing is when you have more than one coat of nail defence on and no polish on, it peels within 2 days a bit so you have to reapply but I don't really mind. I also love that this company is vegan and cruelty-free, that is the only reason I went on this site to begin with! (in the pic I am also wearing a pink polish from this site)Robynn B.
My nails have a tendency to peel, break off, and split down the sides once they reach a certain length. I was looking for a cruelty free treatment to improve their condition – and this is not it. My nails started peeling way more than when I first began. I had such high hopes because it looks like this product has gotten some glowing reviews, but I suspect the outcome is pretty hit-or-miss, and at this price point it's not worth the gamble. P.S. – It also gives off a distinctively unpleasant smell once it's dry, so if you do want to try it I recommend layering another polish over the top to disguise the scent. Im anemic, have hypothyroidism, and have a long history of chronic nail biting, but I think my nail problems were primarily from my medical conditions than the damage Ive most likely done to my nails over the years. My nails were extremely flimsy, you could bend them all the way back over themselves, if they dried out they lost the flexibility and became brittle, breaking off if you so much looked at them wrong, my toenails are pretty much still that way because Im not interested in showing them off but I have started moisturizing them because it feels good never realized how awful extremely dry nails felt!When the polish is removed, my nails are still pretty flimsy but not to the degree that they were before, like nice thick cardstock vs regular paper. With the polish on, especially the more coats I do, they are super strong and resist damage like crazy! Ive accidentally bent my nails opening bins get them caught on the lid lip and doing various things involving my hands, but they didnt break and while they looked damaged initially they looked completely fine and normal the next day, I was shocked! Like it never happened! In all my life Ive never had that happen with my nails, ever. With one coat I can flex them a little bit, right now I have 3 coats on and I cant flex them at all. Ive done maybe 2 weeks of application now, will update with how things have progressed with more applications, interested to know if my nails will continue getting stronger or stay as they are!I also use a Vitamin E serum on my nails/nailbeds and try to moisturize my hands regularly to also help things. Im also OCD and a chronic hand washer I touch anything slightly, I wash my hands and Ive tried to lessen the amount I wash my hands as well around the house, if we go out Im using sanitizer and washing due to covid!Sarah

Overall a great product. Great quality, it doesn’t chip easily, longer durability compared to other brands and has a fair price. That is already enough for me. I can go closer to 3 weeks if I want to. This also dries very quickly. Now, the only cons… this is a very watery nail polish so you need to apply a few times to cover everything, but I can live with that. From all the brands that are currently in the market with a fair price, OPI has been my go to.jessica.p

Duri products are amazing! I’ve worn acrylics since 1981 with only brief periods without to rest my nail beds. It got to the point, however, that my natural nails were so soft that acrylic would no longer adhere. Then I discovered Rejuvacoat 1 and 2. In less than three weeks, my natural nails have never been so strong or long. I also purchased several polishes and have been pleased with them as well. The polish goes on easily and doesn’t chip. I had acrylic nails for over 20 years and when the pandemic hit last year, I removed the acrylic nails. Have been trying to get my nails back in better shape. They are thin and brittle and one has been splitting down the entire length of the nail for nearly one year. The dryness of the nails cause breakage with just a little bump to them. Saw this and thought I would try it. I have only applied it for 2 days and so far, it makes my nails feel stronger and I haven't seen any breakage or splitting since the 1st application.
