I love this product. Initially I went back and forth on purchasing this or a few competitor products, but went in to Ulta and this was available, so I grabbed it based on the reviews and I'm so glad that I did. I have used Nail Tek products for about 20 years, as their nail treatment/therapy products have worked wonders for me. My nail used to never grow. I began using Nail Tek, #2 with the cuticle/nail oil when preparing for my wedding in hopes to grow my own nails. They grew, and became stronger than ever before, less brittle and less prone to breakage. I’ve used nearly all of the Nail Tek treatment line and recommended to many! Only downside is you should apply it almost daily, which makes the clear treatment thicker and harder to apply. Before the COVID situation I would get a gel manicure every two weeks. And now, I do not see myself going back to the nail salon. This mega formula lasts! My nails stay unchipped for 6 days straight! The brush is super skinny I was worried at first, but it's super good, coverge and application is easy! I would definitely recommend this nail product if you also struggle with brittle nails prone to breakage. I use the clear as a base coat (although I wouldn’t wear it alone because it can look a little yellow, which seems to be common with clear coats, but figured I would mention it) and I do notice a difference – almost if my nails feel as if they’ve been more fortified. I would be curious to see if using one of the Mega Strength hardener pigmented shades on top of the clear coat would amplify its effect. I always struggle with painting my own nails in the first place, and I'm always looking for a top coat to make my nails look shiny and smooth like a gel polish but also dries fast. This top coat does just that. Sometimes I even use it alone to give my nails a nice shine. It doesn't stay tacky for very long and covers/smooths out any small imperfections in my base coat of color. The brush is big and wide which allows the whole nail to be covered in two swipes. It makes my nails feel very striong as well. Very nice polish! My only complaint is that the top coat peels off easily, especially around the cuticles. It doesn't take much to get a chip in it which also takes the underneath color off as well. It works well if you're the type to change the color of your nails every week but I like to get as long as possible out of my polishes so it is kind of frustrating. This is my go to nail growth, strengthener polish. When I use it my nails are harder to break and they grow like crazy! It's easy to add polish over as well. We also discovered that it shows up under a black light. I have recommended it to every one. If you are having issue with your nails getting weak and breaking, give this a shot. I've been using this nail gel for a year or two and I use it mainly for the finish on my nails 💅. It leaves a light pink color on the nails, it isn't completely clear. These are my real nails. I used to wear fake nails and my nails were so Damaged, I needed a change. My nails are strong, long, and better than ever. 10/10 would recommend using this. These products are inexpensive, and you can find them at Walmart and Amazon (amongst others). These products make your nails very strong, and protect them successfully from breaking. I have not had any breakage since I started using them. Previously I used a different nail hardener, but had breakage with that one.

I thought I would give this ridge filler a try…I was pleasantly surprised how well it works! I filed and tried to smooth them out, but you could still see and feel ridges. Run, don't walk. This product is a whole grail. I have a terrible habit of biting nails as a stress coping mechanism and this grew back my damaged nails. I've been working on the same bottle for the past 6 months and look forward to keep using it. I apply it right after I apply any nail polish as it doubles as a top coat. Ok, I’m obsessed with this stuff. I wanted something to put on my nails to protect them and make them look a little neater when I’m taking a break in between manicures. This stuff does exactly that….it’s amazing. It has the prettiest tiiiny amount of pinkish sheen that makes your nails look a step above bare. This picture is two coats. I usually have my nails manicured, but once in a while I need a break. If I leave my nails completely bare, they chip and break. This not only protects them but also gives them a nice “clean” look. I haven't been using this product long, but I love it. I keep seeing all of these reviews that were part of a promotion, but my review is just because I needed something new, saw this, and bought it. I have also seen some complain about the smell. I feel like I need to go home and check mine, because I have not noticed any weird smell. You got a bad bottle or something. This goes on nice, it doesn't take forever to dry. Although I have tried a product that dries much faster, but the drying time on this isn't as long as regular nail polish. I like the finish look on my nails. No streakes or clumpy weird stuff, and goes on so smooth. The best part, my nails are strong and holding up well. Did some break, yes. But you can't expect the first coat, or even the first week to fully improve your weak nails. You can't put this on paper and expect the paper not to rip. If you follow the instructions and let ilthe polish drynas any other polish, it is an excellent choice for nail repair, ESPECIALLY if you have a significant amount of damage including thinning and tearing from having gel polish or acrylic . I've had Nails over the years off and on I would say over 25 years and there's only one other product I have found in that amount of time that actually does what it says and helps to repair your nails from the amount of damage that any gel polish and acrylic will do. I find it interesting that majority of the promotional reviews not all but majority are rated very high and the less than Stellar ratings are those or majority are those who were not part of the promotion and it only helps other consumers if it's an honest review based on actually following the instructions of what you're supposed to do if you just try it for a week then no it's not going to work if you have damage that would likely push you to buy this in the first place. It usually takes months and sometimes it can actually take people years to actually get their nails back to normal if they've had gel or acrylic on your nails for even a few months my mom hasn't had nails for a few years now and her nails have never been the same they're extremely brittle no matter what she tries and it's because of the gel polish mostly and acrylic. I followed the instructions and used this for several weeks and as I mentioned previously this is the only product I've found that does what it says it will do and it helps with the discoloration as well that acrylic and gel polish leaves because your nails haven't had actual air for weeks or months or years while you've had something on top of them so it usually leaves a yellowing or dingy color which has always bothered me so any type of nail repair should be attentive pink or some type of color to make the yellowing of your nails not so noticeable to the human eye. I too do not understand the comment about the overwhelming smell as it smells no different than any other polish so I'm thinking maybe that reviewer had a bottle with something wrong with it or expired or too much of one or more ingredients. Overall I'm super pleased with this product and will continue to use it to strengthen my nails and have them look or appear as healthy as possible. I received Essie Smooth-E basecoat as a #freeproduct to try for my honest review from #topboxcircle #trytopbox. I had never heard of this basecoat so I was intrigued as it stated it was a ridge filler and would give my nails a smooth finish to apply polish. I use a lot of dark colours especially blue that has a tendency to stain my nails. I did find that with the initial application it gave my nails a matte finish with an almost grippy feel and then I applied my Essie polish in a nice deep blue. It did dry quickly before I applied the polish. I have had the blue nail polish on for a few days and did find my nails chipped almost the next day so that was a little disappointing. The finish was nice and clean looking like a mani should be. I am not overly impressed though. I feel that there are better products on the market.CeeZee39

I absolutely love the entire Essie line, they always have high quality products. It’s my go to for my mani/pedis. The only issues I’ve come across is that my nail polish never lasted a week. It would constantly chip off, but since trying out this base coat that Essie brilliantly thought of, I no longer have that issue. Initially I was a bit skeptical about this product claiming to smooth the ridges in my nails. I recently had acrylic nails taken off and the removal process wrecked havoc on my nails. The surface of my nails were uneven and they were peeling. When I applied the base coat, I noticed that it filled in the weak spots in my nails. When I applied the nail polish on top, my nails felt so smooth. You would not be able to tell that my nails were damaged. I got this free about a year ago and will absolutely be buying when I run out. The nails on my ring fingers are thinner than my other nails and used to break frequently, with this they feel just as strong as my regular nails and I can actually grow them out. All of my nails break much less than they used to and only when I really jam them. It works well as a base coat (longevity of my Mani is similar to seche vite or opi base coats) and is also great by itself. It makes my nails shiny and healthy looking. Wow! I’ve been getting acrylics on and off since my early teens (now early 30’s) and the only time I’ve ever been able to grow my nails without them peeling or breaking, is when I had on acrylics…. I received this recovery formula in a fab fit fun box and decided to try it (fresh off a set of acrylics, incredibly thin and damaged with ridges and no length left) and within a week I noticed my nails getting longer. I bought this nail polish because it is plant base, which is something I have really been trying to look for in my beauty products lately. It was about $10 a bottle at CVS, so it’s comparable to Essie and OPI. I have to say, I really love this polish! I’ve had it on for 5 days now and it’s only starting to chip a little at my tips! It took 3 layers to apply a smooth and finished look. I will say it dried fast and I was rather surprised by that for liquid or polish. I however was not a fan of this color. It really just didn’t look good with my skin tone. Maybe in the summer when I’m tan? But it’s a no for me right now. The actual polish itself held up as to be expected for any nail polish. 2-3 days before I had noticeable chipping. I received the shades 345 Smokey Quartz and 410 Black Stone which are beautiful colors. The purple is light but has a grayish tint to it and shines really pretty and the black is a deep black and gives off a beautiful shine. The polish itself gives off a great color and smooth look but with one coat is just too thin, I did at least two coats to create a good layer and look. This polish is a very runny formula in my opinion so took some patience not to make a mess with it and drying time isn’t too long but the the turn out is pretty good and last a good few days before it starts to chip off. I overall think it’s a great polish and love that it’s vegan. I did receive the new vegan formulas but is giving me a list of the old ones so my shades aren’t there to put in my review.brittany .h

i like trying new products but nothing seems to work as good as this one. it actually repaired my nails from another sally product gone wrong recently. nails are hard, dont peel or chip. i put 2 coats on letting it dry completely in between coats. rarely i put another product on as a top coat to seal it (clear or color) usually when i do its with a failed product i dont want to go to waste. im a mother so im constantly working with my hands, i maybe touch up 1 or 2 nails on the sides in 4-5 days but i usually wait and redo both hands in 6-7 days. its cheaper than hardners and you can find it almost everywhere. the pictures shows my nails are growing back to normal after 1week and has 2 coats.snowfairy

Two coats feel like an acrylic overlay. Nail breakage is minimal and even when it does happen, the nail bends significantly before ever breaking. it made my nail polish last at least 3 or 4 days longer! my nails are already firmer. for the first time ever I had that manicure grow out look wit just nail polish! This nail strengthener has done the unthinkable: salvaged my thin, peeling, damaged nails that I was on the brink of accepting would be stubby forever. This brand is my go-to nail polish. I love that the bottles aren't obnoxiously huge and I can travel with them. They are also made of thick glass and I have dropped them on numerous occasions and no catastrophe of nail polish on my floors. Could you imagine? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this nail hardener. It keeps my nails super protected – they're prone to break and they haven't broken since I started using it. It adds a shine that makes my nails look like gel nails, which I love because gel manicures just destroy my nails. However, the shine is not very long lasting but I usually apply a coat whenever my polish is looking dull and it dries in 1 minute, which is so much more time-conscious than going to a salon to get a high-shine finish or just redoing my nails entirely. It also keeps the polish from chipping, and it's not one of those hardeners that cracks after 2 or 3 days. I seriously love this product. I do like the way this looks on my nails. It looks thicker on the nail than other top coats. However, you have to be like Goldilocks with application and use an amount that’s just right. If you use too much- your nails will never dry! Or you’ll think they are dry and then end up with a “dent” in one of them the next day. You must follow the instructions! I loved this product. Tbh I have completely ran out cause I used it almost every other day. I have used other products from this brand and have been very disappointed. This one has left me very surprised. I've only used it twice so far, and it seems to work great. Can I say that I've seen growth within 3 days? Honestly, I can't really tell. However, I have noticed a definite change in my nail strength. I work a lot with my hands when I make costumes and clothing, and my nails tend to break, chip and crack. Since I started using this, my nails seem stronger. I'm only on week 3 of the process, which is a month long, but so far I've absolutely loved this nail strengthener! I've tried tons of other nail strengtheners, including a $25 one, and this is the best one I've used so far. It doesn't tint the tips of your nails or turn them yellow, and it has a very natural sheen–not too glossy. My nails are stronger than they've ever been. I have only chipped a nail once, and that was at my job during the first week of using this strengthener (I work a pretty hands on, physical job). Long ago I gave up on my nails, trying to just handle them short to curtail their peeling and splitting tendencies. Last march I had a shellac mani to be fancy for a wedding and it ruined my already quite pathetic nails. After several months of trying to grow out a vertical split that had resulted I searched for something that would strengthen them enough to at least get back to normal shorties. Well, I saw this product and the reviews and thought i would give it a try. I did follow directions to the letter, which helped and it was at a vacation time for me so I could stay on track. After the first two weeks I had never seen my nails so 'non splitty' , and something in this is definitely fortifying them. After the initial two weeks I went into the 2 week every other day schedule, and I went ahead and purchased the soy remover as well. Pros: much 'cleaner' product line than any I see. Virtually no odor or strong smell, makes application pleasant. Products work better than any I ever used on my mid 50's nails! Cons: none yet, and I just ordered from the Labor day sale. I have used Nailtiques Formula 2 for many years. It absolutely improves the strength and look of my nails. The trick is to use it consistently and follow the directions to apply one coat daily. I make one to three applications a week to maintain the results and make sure I always have this on my nails. I don't wear color polish often but Nailtiques works great as a first coat with color polish as the second. If you are just starting out with Nailtiques I would suggest not using colored polish for the first few weeks and just use Nailtiques to give your nails a good start. My nails have been so strong since I started using this regularly. Duri products are amazing! I’ve worn acrylics since 1981 with only brief periods without to rest my nail beds. It got to the point, however, that my natural nails were so soft that acrylic would no longer adhere. Then I discovered Rejuvacoat 1 and 2. I had acrylic nails for over 20 years and when the pandemic hit last year, I removed the acrylic nails. Have been trying to get my nails back in better shape. They are thin and brittle and one has been splitting down the entire length of the nail for nearly one year. The dryness of the nails cause breakage with just a little bump to them. Saw this and thought I would try it. I have only applied it for 2 days and so far, it makes my nails feel stronger and I haven't seen any breakage or splitting since the 1st application. Before the COVID situation I would get a gel manicure every two weeks. And now, I do not see myself going back to the nail salon. This mega formula lasts! My nails stay unchipped for 6 days straight! And when they started chipping it was only at the very tip of the nail! I typically only ever need two coats and I dont use a clear top coat. The colors are so pretty! The brush is super skinny I was worried at first, but it's super good, coverge and application is easy! I take off with regular acetone and comes right off – not sure about the glitter ones because I dont have any glitter colors yet, but I imagine it would take a little more effort to remove as with all glitter polishes. Not sure why people buy the $10+ nail polishes like Essie and OPI, when you can get two of these instead!! I would get all the colors if i could! Don't hesitate, get this polish!rissy808

I would definitely recommend this nail product if you also struggle with brittle nails prone to breakage. I use the clear as a base coat (although I wouldn’t wear it alone because it can look a little yellow, which seems to be common with clear coats, but figured I would mention it) and I do notice a difference – almost if my nails feel as if they’ve been more fortified. I would be curious to see if using one of the Mega Strength hardener pigmented shades on top of the clear coat would amplify its effect. I always struggle with painting my own nails in the first place, and I'm always looking for a top coat to make my nails look shiny and smooth like a gel polish but also dries fast. This top coat does just that. Sometimes I even use it alone to give my nails a nice shine. It doesn't stay tacky for very long and covers/smooths out any small imperfections in my base coat of color. The brush is big and wide which allows the whole nail to be covered in two swipes. It makes my nails feel very striong as well. Very nice polish! My only complaint is that the top coat peels off easily, especially around the cuticles. It doesn't take much to get a chip in it which also takes the underneath color off as well. It works well if you're the type to change the color of your nails every week but I like to get as long as possible out of my polishes so it is kind of frustrating. But the speed of drying makes up for the peeling.natalie.e

This product is really good at rebuilding nail strength when used as directed. Although it may be temping to peel off the product after applying several coats, I encourage you not to do this as it will also remove part of the strengthened nail bed that you are trying to repair. Soak your nails in non-acetone polish remover initially, then rub off remaining product with a saturated cotton ball. Once clean, reapply.KathyC

This product is amazing. I have had gel nails and had them removed which makes your nails thin causing them to crack, chip and break. Having been a nail biter/picker most of my years I resorted to acrylics to help deter me. Getting this done regularly made my already thin and brittle nails worse. I resorted to false nails for a while and then wraps to try and achieve some length to discourage my old habits. Had been looking for an alternative product in local shops but couldn't find it. A work colleague was using product I was originally trying to source and recommended it all apart from the pinkish tinge it gave. A local beauty store recommended this range that they had in stock as an alternative. Was so glad I purchased. Have now got beautiful natural nails and have actually had to cut and manicure them for the first time in my life. I am so proud of them and hopefully the habit is now behind me. Have just purchased another bottle as I plan to continue using. At 21 per bottle it's not the cheapest but I was spending more in nail bars and damaging my nails too. I have purchased many base coats and I get one days wear out of my nail polish before it chips or the entire colour peels off. It has been 2 days so far and I was so amazed I had to write this the colour is still as good as the first day, no chips or peeling. I have had my hands in water using liquid sugar soap for cleaning and I thought this will be the end of my nail polish but it's still good. The polish and top coat is the same one I always use so it has to be the base coat helping my polish to stay on longer. Will definitely repurchase.Kazan
