I have turned again and again to Shellac or gel nails, till I finally decided to give the Infinite Shine a go. It’s been 10 days now and my nails still look good, amazing! I was so not expecting this. Obviously it depends on if you look out a bit for your hands and nails, but if you do, yo will definitely last up to 11 days as OPI promises! I found however it did take about 30 min. drying time as opposed to the claimed 15 min., however you’re already good to go after 15min. It’s actually a bit of a pity that a lot of nail salons don’t really promote it as being in between gel and normal nail polish instead of just some other nail polish. This is the ideal kind of polish when you want to take a break from gel nails or just prefer the longer hold, but still have nice nails. Highly recommended!FeliciaM
I used the Infinite Shine base coat and top coat with two different colours on two occasions, waiting the specified time between coats. The colour is quite gloopy and the brush doesn’t feel as good as usual OPI quality. 12 hours after application I looked down to see the polish from my index finger had completely stripped off. No idea how! Within three days the other nails had started to peel and chip. I found this with the other colour I purchased too – really disappointing. I am astounded that this product has received any positive reviews, it's truly awful. I've been using O.P.I products for years and always found them to be consistently good, the normal polishes do seem to last longer than most brands and the colours are fantastic, However, it's a totally different story with these new 'hello kitty infinite shine' colours and duo pack. They literally chipped within one day! The colours themselves don't go on nicely at all, they felt rough and badly applied and the base coat mottled like i had hand cream on which made it go a funny consistency (which I didn't) I took the Blue 'Let Love Sparkle' away with me, but was having to reapply the chips so often, i ended up giving up and taking it off completely and I've only used 'a hush of blush' once as it's just not worth the hassle. I've complained to the company and asked for a full refund as I feel these products are not as they have been advertised, but surprise surprise, I've had absolutely no response.Bobs78

I really think this stuff helps prevent chipping. I have been wearing a regular Essie polish with this Sally Hansen as a top and base coat and am going on 7 days with no chipping. I did wrap the tips with polish and top coat and still experienced shrinking at the tip of the nail which i'm not thrilled about, but no chipping at all! I also did prep my nails and wiping them with rubbing alcohol to aide with the polish sticking and I think it helped! I have used many top coats, most around the $10-12 mark and this one this is my favorite. I have been using this bottle for about 4 months and the consistency has not changed at all. Sometimes to keep them extra shiny, I put on another layer of top coat a few days in, but I did not in the scenario above and am still very happy with the results!amanda.s
This stuff is amazing! I can't believe this doesn't have a 100% rating. I was surprised to see that people said that the OPI Natural Nail Strengthener peeled off soon after they applied it. I have not had that problem at all. It dries very quickly, which makes it easier to add more coats. This has helped my long nails stay strong and healthy looking. I would be devastated when my long nails broke, but now they don't break, thanks to this polish from OPI! This is my holy grail nail product. I used this last night for the first time. I had done a design that I was really proud of, but when I put on the topcoat, it immediately smeared the design, even though the polish underneath had had plenty of time to dry. I went to bed an hour later, assuming it would be fine since this bills itself as a quick drying top coat. I woke up with sheet imprints and one nail with the polish pushed and crumpled so there was a large bare patch. I’m very disappointed in the product – maybe it’s just a bad batch, but it performed as if I’d not even bothered. Even hours later, the promised “super-hard finish” has not developed. If you want a quick-drying topcoat that has a hard finish that preserves designs, get something else.
I was really excited to try this top coat. I have quite a collection of them and am always looking to see what’s new. I was not overly impressed with this top coat. It looked flawless at first but the following day is when I started noticing trouble when the tips of my nails were already losing their color underneath and starting to show signs of wear. I know this is bound to happen but I take very god care of my nails and always wear gloves when washing dishes or using hot water for cleaning. Besides that, I thought it was a lovely polish that was super shiny. I also was unimpressed with how long my nails took to dry afterwards. It definitely wasn’t the quickest. This was my first Orly product to ever try and it definitely did not disappoint me. I had seen this brand at target but I didnt want to buy it and not like it so I just always stuck with Sally Hanson. Even though I dont necessarily like Sally's products I tend to buy and go with what i know instead of venturing out, I pain that on being a cancer. Last year my nails were in bad shape and I finally took the risk, not because i was brave but because the products I usually got were stole out of. This made my nails hard and felt good. It never yellowed or chipped and this bottle lasted me months which is rare because the one I bought of Sally's never made it a month before it was so goopy I couldn't apply it anymore. This brand is my go-to nail polish. I love that the bottles aren't obnoxiously huge and I can travel with them. They are also made of thick glass and I have dropped them on numerous occasions and no catastrophe of nail polish on my floors. Could you imagine? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this nail hardener. It keeps my nails super protected – they're prone to break and they haven't broken since I started using it. It adds a shine that makes my nails look like gel nails, which I love because gel manicures just destroy my nails. However, the shine is not very long lasting but I usually apply a coat whenever my polish is looking dull and it dries in 1 minute, which is so much more time-conscious than going to a salon to get a high-shine finish or just redoing my nails entirely. It also keeps the polish from chipping, and it's not one of those hardeners that cracks after 2 or 3 days. I seriously love this product. I do like the way this looks on my nails. It looks thicker on the nail than other top coats. However, you have to be like Goldilocks with application and use an amount that’s just right. If you use too much- your nails will never dry! Or you’ll think they are dry and then end up with a “dent” in one of them the next day. You must follow the instructions! I thought I knew how to paint my nails, already… but this is a bit different. I gave it 3 stars because of the price. You pay a lot of money for such a tiny bottle. Sorry but, I'm not as generous with the stars on this as everyone else. Yes, it does go on matte as many others have said, but should it get 3 stars just because it's only able to do that?! A top coat isn't just for looks/aesthetics but also function, it's supposed to protect the color and aide in lasting/durability. I've painted my nails since I was a child and I'm in my early 30's so I've used a fair amount of brands and colors, never have I ever seen a top coat lift color from a dried nail; I thought the issue was that I used a black of a different brand so maybe it was the mismatch, so I went and bought an OPI black and it did the same thing. Even more, it doesn't matter how long you let it dry the first day you practically can't do much because it will smudge or lift in someway, even if you touch it and it seems dry…so this isn't something that you can do when pressed for time. Then, another weird thing about this top coat, is the fact that it doesn't really chip off, but rather, it rubs off or even washes off. Overall, this is a huge miss and major disappointment given that it's OPI! I'm harsh in my review because it's OPI and we have come to expect a certain level from them which is why many of us are willing to pay more for it; however, this performs worse than the old wet n wild polishes, Revlon, or those little bottles of polishes that were super cheap (can't remember name). Basically, this isn't something I will purchase again from them and I am highly suggesting to anyone reading the reviews prior to buying to look elsewhere this isn't worth it, trust me.Not impressed OPI fan
Not impressed. At first it goes on great. No bubbles and any streaks from uneven application just flatterm right out. It's so matte that it just seems to absorb all light, especially on a dark polish! Then, as soon as you touch something, it gets marked up like flat paint on walls. After a few days it seems to mostly wear off, leaving your nails less shiny than a regular top coat, but still reflecting light. Be prepared to freshen your top coat regularly.

I really adore this Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Too Coat in "Unicorn". Right in the bottle is a mix of beautiful fine shimmer in different colors to give a "unicorn" effect, which looks incredible in the sun, and if I had to describe a unicorn, it would be sparkly, magical and colorful! I used this top coat over Sally Hansen Miracle Gel in "Sugar Fix" and it worked perfectly to add a gorgeous suble shimmer of colors that made me want to constantly look at my nails in different directions to capture the shimmer and color. Unfortunately, the camera cannot the capture the true beauty and sparkle of this unicorn top coat like your eye can in real life. This top cat would go great with any and all colors to give your color a little sparkle and flair. Lasted all week and removal was easy as well. I definitely would recommend it.
I got this product complimentary from Influenster and sally hansen in exchange for my honest review. I got the color sugar fix and the topcoat color of Crystal. The colors were definitely pretty so that was a nice plus. As you can see in the pics, the second pic shows each color with one coat. It is very sheer so definitely you need two coats for it to completely cover your nails. The third pic shows each nail with two coats which covered nicely. The pointer nail has the sugarvfix with the Crystal topcoat on top and it is very pretty with a nice sparkle. It dries pretty quickly too which is another plus. What I did not like about these is that the polish scrapes off your nail pretty easily so there was not a long period of staying power. Also, the wand of the brush is like a flat piece of glass with the bristles at the end. I personally did not like this and found it difficult to get the wand in and out of the bottle. I much prefer round wands which go in and out of the bottle much easier. The polish and the topcoat were also not super shiny like other polishes. I found them both to be a little matte, than super shiny. I prefer more shiny and glossy. Just my preference though. The polish did come off easy with nail polish remover which was nice. This base is a light blue/periwinkle type color. It is thicker consistency so it doesn't chip as much as acrylic or regular paint. the color is bold and beautiful! This polish lasted so long on my nails doing my daily work and tasks and didn't chip! It is much thicker lacquer due to it being gel and chip resistant. It went beautifully with the top coat Crystal to make it holo! Base coat was two top coat three with five min dry time in between 10/10lindsey.h

I received Essie Smooth-E basecoat as a #freeproduct to try for my honest review from #topboxcircle #trytopbox. I had never heard of this basecoat so I was intrigued as it stated it was a ridge filler and would give my nails a smooth finish to apply polish. I use a lot of dark colours especially blue that has a tendency to stain my nails. I did find that with the initial application it gave my nails a matte finish with an almost grippy feel and then I applied my Essie polish in a nice deep blue. It did dry quickly before I applied the polish. I have had the blue nail polish on for a few days and did find my nails chipped almost the next day so that was a little disappointing. I absolutely love the entire Essie line, they always have high quality products. It’s my go to for my mani/pedis. The only issues I’ve come across is that my nail polish never lasted a week. It would constantly chip off, but since trying out this base coat that Essie brilliantly thought of, I no longer have that issue. Since using this, now my nail polish says on for a week before it starts to chip. I’m extremely pleased and happy with this product. It provides you with the best quality manicures and pedicures. Initially I was a bit skeptical about this product claiming to smooth the ridges in my nails. I recently had acrylic nails taken off and the removal process wrecked havoc on my nails. The surface of my nails were uneven and they were peeling. When I applied the base coat, I noticed that it filled in the weak spots in my nails. When I applied the nail polish on top, my nails felt so smooth. You would not be able to tell that my nails were damaged. So far, so good! It is rather fast-drying, especially for as thick and gel-like as it is. It's definitely not as thick as a layer of gel in the salon, but I'd say a little thicker and richer than regular nail polish and top coat. I love that it's versatile enough to wear over any polish. Easy to work with. Goes on smoothly and is nicely thick on the nail. Self-leveling which minimizes unwanted visible brush strokes. Reapply every other day or every three days max. I actually like the Seche Vive a bit better than the Seche Vite. It is thicker, which I like, but truthfully you probably only get to use half the bottle because it becomes very viscous and hard when you get down to the bottom. I usually pick Seche up on sale or at an off-price retailer, so I don't mind that I am unable to use all the product. It gives a plump, gel effect and lasts longer than any other topcoat I've tried. Plus, it has an unmistakable, glossy sheen that other topcoats can't compete with. i cant say enough good things about opi. i use so many of their products. this product is a 3 in 1. it works as a base coat, a top coat, and a strengthening formula. it’s clear, but it looks so good on the nail. it’s strengthens my nails really well. and it’s easy to apply other coats to it if you want. or stickers. would definitely recommend!jennifer.f
If I don't use this my nail polish always smudges and won't dry. I always apply a base coat then 2 coats of colour followed by this OPI RapiDry Top Coat. It dries everything in less than 1 minute and then I can go about my day. I still make sure that I wear open toed shoes the day I paint my toenails as I'm paranoid of it smudging but it really does dry it rapidly. It also makes my nail polish colour look really shiny and prevents the edges from chipping. If you are looking for something that really does dry rapidly then I would recommend this to you.
What happened to this formula! This product used to be the bee's knees…it is awful now! Such a waste of money. It is so thick and goopy…I've tried 3 bottles recently, in hopes it was a bad batch or something…and all were junky! It ruins your painted nails, smudged, streaked and bubbles. Even if you use A TON of product, and get lucky enough for it to dry…there are still going to be tiny bubbles. Also, it literally doesn't dry through with a base + 2 color coats. Based on the reviews of Rosy Future OPI nail lacquer I was excited and looking forward to receiving my new nail polish. Wow! What a shock it turned out to be. One coat looked good and I should have stopped right there. Thinking it would look even better with two coats I eagerly added a second as it was easy to apply. One coat gave a beautiful sheer iridescent shimmering look. Adding a second coat gave me neon nails that resembled fluorescent lights. I will continue to use the Rosy Future but only one coat. I am disappointed because I think a manicure with two coats of polish lasts longer. But, the look with one coat is acceptable with top coat layers. This polish is not the winner that I expected but at the same time it is not a total loss either. I would recommend the Rosy Future because of its versatility. For those who like a sheer iridescent look it’s a winner. For those who like neon nails it’s also a winner. Enjoy your new nail polish! I absolutely love this top coat. I use it over Color Street Nails, but also for my daughter when she's painting her nails. It extends my manicure to 10 days, at least (I usually get sick of the color first and take it off). Dries very quick and gives a nice shiney coat. I don't usually need to reapply. Gives it a nice gel polish look and I get a ton of compliments all the time. Makes my nails feel much stronger. Definitely recommend. I received this nail polish complimentary from Influenster in exchange for my honest opinion. I read a description of this which called it a "Barbie pink" and was immediately like "ugh great, bright pink!" I'm generally not a fan of pinks, but this one grew on me! I applied two coats of Two Timing the Zones over the OPI Natural Nail Base Coat, finishing it off with the OPI Top Coat. This polish bubbled, even after leaving 40+ minutes between coats, which was annoying! I ended up topping it with Essie's A Cut Above, which made already girly nails *even more* girly, and I actually liked it! This was again topped with another layer of the top coat. The polish chipped on my dominant hand within 3 days. Considering there's three layers on top, with the tips capped, that's pretty annoying! On my non-dominant hand, it chipped within 5. For me, it's not worth the price tag and I want far better longevity regardless of the price tag. It's around £15 in the UK, and I've got £1-2 Kiko polishes that perform better. I have used Seche Vite top coat for years. I recently got a three pack from Amazon and they are awful. I’ve ordered from their store on Amazon several times before and haven’t had this big of an issue. I’ve kind of always had the shrinkage problem with Seche Vite, but now it looks worse (the lines on the side of my nails where you can see where the top coat is on top of the color). Now though it lifts up the nail polish and chips off in sheets. I make sure to not get the top coat on my skin so there isn’t a lot to lift up, but still it lifts up on the sides of my nails and around my cuticles the next day. I’m also getting more chips, again the next day. I don’t know if this is just a batch problem, but I feel like I may stay clear of Seche Vite for a while. I ordered Glisten Glow’s top coat after I read amazing reviews so hopefully that will work out better!kari.w
I've been using this product for the past two years and it's been my go to top coat . My nail polish will last for about 5-7 days , while using this top coat. I've used other top coats in the past but this one is the best one. Also, it provided a nice finish to your nails after polishing. Get this top coat and you won't regret it. I just wished the formula would stay the same even when you're running low on the product. I hope the company looks into this because it's my only complaint. The top coat should be usable until the bottle is empty .
This top coat really is fast drying, but not only that, it dries to a hard lacquered finish. The best thing about it is that it's meant to be used over still wet nail polish; it's far more convenient to go straight into your top coat than having to wait minutes for each coat to dry down. The only issue this polish has is that it shrinks. You have to be careful to completely cover all areas where polish is with this top coat, because otherwise there will be a line of demarcation where the top coat has shrunk a bit. Not a huge deal, but can be very apparent and annoying if you're doing a plain black crème polish (not fun to have to re-do a nail). That said, once you know that, it's not too difficult to be mindful of covering the entire painted surface. This top coat will be the best you’ve ever used if you use it correctly. The first few times I tried it I was very disappointed with it. Hours after painting my nails, I was still getting smudges and nicks in the polish. It looked as though it was getting smudged and cloudy, and there was no shine. Then, I tried letting my coats dry A LOT longer then I usually would, and I dried them with a mini fan. After THAT, I had a shiny manicure that lasted over a week with little to no chipping. So- if you have the time to let your coats dry quite a long time, and/or an instrument to dry them (fan) then you will have great results!sd
Love this from OPI! OPI has recently become my new fave brand when it comes to nails. The finishing base coat and top coat work emmensly and has the quickest drying time I’ve ever experienced! I have been using this top coat on my nails for years and I love it because it leaves my nail polish so shiny. It's quite thick so you don't need much on the brush and I would recommend you do wipe the brush up the side of the bottle to remove some before you go in and apply it over your nail polish colour. Sometimes the brush does turn the same colour as the nail polish I'm applying it to but that doesn't effect the top coat at all. It also protects the edges of my nails from chipping too. The only thing that I don't particularly like is that it does take longer to dry that other brands I've used so that's why I'm giving it 4 stars.

I do a lot in my life, I'm a mom, I do dishes, laundry, gardening, crafts, etc. My hands get VERY dirty, so I have to wash them probably 20+ times a day, and it makes my my nails get so weak and brittle and they've always been prone to chipping, breaking, etc. but this stuff is so good at sealing the nail with a nice shiny coat! It glides on easily, and dries pretty fast. I've done multiple thin layers and one thick layer and both have worked well. My nails have been bothering me so much that I've had nail hardener on my shopping list for a while now since my nails kept breaking and chipping, but then this came in my mailbox! I mean, it really makes a difference when you see how flexible your nail was before vs. after applying. After having this on for a week, I went to do the dishes and jammed my thumb on the sink handle, and already was reaching for the nail file because I thought my nail broke for SURE! But nope! it held up with this stuff on! I also notice my nails don't get as thin and weak when they sit in water for a while with this stuff, but of course it wears the coat down when you swim or have wet hands for long periods of time. I'm planning on getting another bottle to use on my feet after showers because my toe nails could use some help with cracking too! Let me start off by saying that I have eczema and I wash my hands VERY frequently especially since the start of covid-19. My hands are always super dry and I constantly have several hangnails and torn cuticles that I have to clip off every evening and I hate it. I'm also a medial student and my cuticle skin falls victim to my stress picking during exams 😭😭😭. I have never used a cuticle oil before, however after trying this for the first time I am CONVERTED. My cuticles have never felt so healthy before. This is a great product that melts into your skin and doesn't feel greasy. The applicator is just like a regular nail polish brush. A little goes a long way though, one dip can cover all 10 of my cuticles. I've been using this product almost everyday for a week and I had definitely noticed an improvement. The differences between the before and after picture are not super noticeable but trust me, you will feel a difference. I did go one day without using it and surely the dry cuticles and hangnails came back with a quickness so this is a product that requires constant use to reap the benefits. But that's not exactly a complaint, just something I noticed and I don't really mind. I definitely recommend this cuticle oil for anyone with dry hands.
I was looking for a new top coat for my nails and generally have good results with Sally Hansen products but this stuff drives me insane. It doesn't matter how dry my polish is before I put this on or how long I let it sit before I move on with my life, this stuff never ever seems to fully dry. I could paint my nails at noon and go to bed at 11pm and I'll wake up with imprints in my nails from my sheets. I thought I wasn't giving my polish enough time to dry (I usually use the Sally Hansen quick drying polishes) so I timed it and waited about 30 minutes between coats. I let the top coat sit for an hour, then dunked my hands in ice water and made sure I was super extra careful when preparing food that evening. After cooking, I looked at my nails and had a huge divot in the polish on my pinky nail. My other nails all have bunching at the top where the polish was pushed back from doing who knows what (literally just living life as normal). I forgot to put this on when I painted my nails last week with the same polish and had no issues until I did a deep clean of my house at the end of the week (using chemicals without gloves). I don't think I'm going to ever use this top coat again.J

For a multi-purpose product this is quite a good product. I really like it as a top coat and I notice that I get a lot longer out of any color when I use it. As a base coat, it seems to do a well enough job. I haven't noticed any miraqle improvements in my nail health, but honestly they are pretty healthy so I will leave it to those who were seeking to address a concern to comment there. Perhaps my only real gripe is the application brush is quite narrow, which makes it difficult to get a nice even coverage, especially for a good base coat. This base coat is effective, but average. It does what it is meant to do, which is create a protective layer between your nails and nail polish. This base coat does not prevent nails from yellowing, which is caused by nail polish, especially dark colours, from staining your nails. It also does not fill ridges and create a flat and smooth surface for nail polish, like or similar products. This product can also be used as a top coat. This polish is nothing special as a top coat. It does not prevent nails from chipping. It also does not create a high shine finish. There are better base and top coats available and I recommend buying one of those.stephanie.w
I wasn’t sure at first if this was actually a treatment or just a “cover up” for yellowed nails, so after getting it home I read the back more carefully. It seems that this product is not a treatment, and is only intended to give the illusion of brighter nails. While this is fine, it still requires that step of putting two coats on the nail, just as with any other polish, but I think it is a nice alternative to looking like your nails are natural even when they are not. I like how it brightens the overall nail, however, in certain lights the tips of my nails still look a bit yellowed, although overall they are much brighter (especially far away, as the photo above is so zoomed in it really accentuates it). I think this would also be helpful as a basecoat underneath more transluscent polishes if you didn’t want yellow nails to show through. I am not sure how well this would cover up extremely yellowed nails – even just two coats I felt was just passable on my nails Next time I may try going over the tips again with a third coat, but then I would be saying to myself, “Maybe I should just do a full 2 coat/french tip manicure with actual colors!?” Ha! I've been using seche viet and out the door top coats exclusively for over 10 years. I never tried anything else because those did the job of being really shiny and drying fast. The problem I had was that they would dry up really quickly and were almost too thick and sometimes would shrink the polish under neath or streak. I noticed with this top coat that it's shiny but it isn't overly thick. It glides right over polish and smoothed out an imperfection without being super thick. I didn't notice any shrinking either. Also, the brush applicator is great it's a bit wider and fluffier than the average top coat brush. I really like this top coat and Im glad I took a chance, I haven't been a super fan of essie polishes in the past but I do enjoy this.Nessa
This is the only top coat I can trust to not chip on my nails. I have purchased about 3 times. I do my own mani/pedis- might get them done professionally 1-2 times per year. This gel system lasts just as long as when my nail lady uses her polishes. If I need the color to last for vacations, I use this gel system. I’m really hard on my hands, and this doesn’t chip. My pedicure will last till I remove the color (3-4 weeks). I do take care to prep the nail bed, making sure there is not oily residue. The shine from the top coat is awesome, evens out the polish nicely and really resists chipping. I would say it takes 8-10 mins to dry over the Essie gel polishes.Yessie
This top coat is pretty good! It was very easy apply, and went on very smooth. I had no issues applying it. It did take 5-10 minutes to fully dry. Within the first couple of days I was noticing that the polish under the top coat started the break apart but the top coat was still doing well. By day 3 I was starting to see some small chips on some of my nails, but one nail I had tried a different kind of gel polish from Essie (the blue/grey nail) and that one didn't have any chips yet. It is day 4 now of wearing the polishes, the blue/grey polish on my left hand (my non dominant hand) has a small chip at the side, but my right is still doing well. It seems like the polish underneath determines how well the top coat does and lasts. Some last, some don't. It's a pretty good top coat though!louise.c

As the title says, it's a nail polish. I haven't noticed anything particularly spectacular about this particular polish over others with similar claims. It hasn't made my manicures last longer or kept my nails from chipping any more than other all-in-one or base coat/top coat in one polishes. Pros wise, it's a nice viscosity, which makes it go on easily without much mess. If you load the brush properly prior to applying to to your nail, you should be able to get a nice even coat without much hassle (which I can't say for all products in the same category). And while this may not mean much to some, I appreciate Essie's bottle design because it makes storage much easier. While other brands more aesthetic designs may look nice, unless you have dedicated shelving unit or other display for your polishes, storing them can be difficult and take up far more space than necessary. All in all, in my opinion this product isn't something to write home about, but I wouldn't phone it in either. I would definitely choose this over several of it's competitors with similar claims and price points simply for the above mentioned pros of easy of application and storage.Siriuslestrange1
I am a huge fan of Essie's nail products and also recommend this new All-in-One Base and Top Coat as well now. I have brittle nails that easily get stained and require a basecoat and top coat as well as a nail strengthener whenever I use nail polish. Essie's All-in-One Base/Top Coat is basically the one-stop product that I use due to convenience since it works as both a base and top coat. I do have to mention that this product has a quick expiration date and the formula and texture changes over time. It becomes thicker, less spreadable, and a bit less efficient when it becomes old. It works best when it's fresh, so it works especially well for those who consistently use nail polish in quick succession and not for those who might use it over a long duration of time. Overall, I am quite satisfied with it, but as I'm one of those lazy people who only use nail polish sporadically, a bottle of these usually lasts me quite a long time and ends up with some wasted.RDCn
I bought this in hopes it would give a better shine to the pink essie polish and base coat I already had. I've used the pink alone with two coats and 30 min dry time between coats with zero problems. It typically stayed for 3/4 days before wearing off so I thought the top coat would help it stay longer. I applied the polish exactly as before and waited a full hour after the second coat of color to apply the top coat. I touch tested the color and made sure it was fully dry before applying top coat. I applied top coat on one hand. After an hour, it still wasn't dry and when I tested it, everything was wet and the all the polish came off as if the color layer was fully wet. I draped a paper towel on the nail and all the polish stuck to the paper and came off the nail. The other hand, without top coat, was still fine a day later. I've tried again on one nail waiting for the color coats to dry overnight before applying the top coat and same effect. It's as if the top coat re-wets the color polish and just never dries. Top coat works as a polish remover. Very disappointed with the top coat of SAME brand would interact this way with polish.GoingSallyHnsn

For the most part, I really like this product! Realistically, a little goes a long way, but I'd probably repurchase this after its run out. My manicure still risks peeling off in the shower if I'm not careful, which is why I shaved off a star, but it totally works as a decent top coat. The Gel Genius Base Coat is a genius but more importantly is that it works. I own the other two base coats and honestly they are a genius as well. I switched between them depending upon what I think my nails need. You can’t go wrong with any of them. LONDONTOWN makes it easy. Their description of each product does what it says. I was paying $90 a month on Gel nails at the salon…. Now many people find the nail salon relaxing. I do not. The minute I walk in I can’t wait to leave. And they always seem to take forever. And I just don’t care for it. ENTER modelones! I purchased an LED lamp on amazon and this kit and some diff gel colors. And OMG! Perfection. Love love love it. Seriously, give it a try. You just apply the base, cure it under the light. Apply a few coats drying under the light after each one, and then apply the top coat. Boom! All done and lasts 3-4 weeks until grown out and time to do it over. Getting it off is a task, however I have found that an electric mail file does the trick efficiently. Great gel nail polish! Not only are their base and top coats amazing but their regular gel polishes are super pigmented and are great quality. I noticed this base coat has protected my nails better than other brands. Also when using the topcoat you don’t need to use too much.chelsea.s
I had been going back and forth between gel top coats from Gelish (which you have to wipe off with alcohol after the final coat), dip powder top coats (not gel-like finish) and the polygel top coat from Makartt (the end result was very inconsistent, sometimes it dried off and you wouldn’t need to wipe off, other times it never dried but I did try using this one as a top coat for dip powder manicures so it could be it dries well with polygel only). Then I saw this set on Amazon. The reviews were not encouraging as there were many customers that had purchased other products from the same brand (PH Bond and Primer) that claimed the product had burned through their nail and had caused fungus and the skin under their nails to burn. Personally, this is my first time using this product from this brand and I am in love with the results! This is exactly what I was looking for, a base and top coat I could use for any of the different manicures I choose for the day. Cures with UV light and does not need to wipe off, this came off far more gorgeous than I thought it would look, no secondary effects and the bottles do come with a good amount. They were also relatively cheap (run for around $10-$12 for the set on Amazon). Save yourself the trouble and the money on going for the expensive ones when this brand will do the same for much less. I am looking forward to trying their color dip collection!alexandra.o
