Which is fine, I added a pot of Clear to my basket as well. Listen, I used to spend my ENTIRE Sunday doing a set of gels for myself, now that I'm in school I literally do not have the time.. and press ons kept popping off no matter how I applied. I absolutely adore Kiara Sky Dip products! I’ve been using them for about three years total now, and I love the quality, the results, and all of the different colors available. It’s by far my favorite dip powder out of any other powders out there. I’ve tried quite a few on the market and this one is always my go to. I bought this kit to teach myself how to do my own nails at home. I thoroughly love anything I can do myself at home. My nails tend to crack easily, gel doesn't always keep them sturdy and going to the salon every 2 weeks to get them done (gel or dip) is not in my budget. So I bought this kit to give my nails some strength while also looking great. Plus I suck at polish. I always get it everywhere when using my non-dominant hand to paint. The included instructions are pretty basic and give you a step by step guide that you need to be successful. It also helps that Kiara Sky has a YouTube channel to show you exactly how to do the dip manicure with the starter kit so with the included instructions and YT video, it's pretty fool proof. My first manicure was good, not great but for my very first attempt, I'd say it went pretty well! There are a few tools you will need that are not included in the kit and that includes a buffer block, nail file, manicure sticks and a fluffy brush to brush off excess powder left on your fingers (I used a clean makeup brush that I no longer use and it worked fine). I also like that the kit includes a brush saver to clean the polishes included and extra brush heads incase you need to replace them (This was nice as I pulled the bristles out of the topcoat head by mistake when wiping it off after using the brush saver). This color is gorgeous and I've never had so many compliments on a nail color. People absolutely gush over it. That said, I don't think the pictures are accurate (at least not on my screen). I was pleasantly surprised when I used this powder and thought I was going to have a black and white marbled look, but actually ended up with a black and silver marbled look. If there is white glitter in this powder, you can barely see it. The silver and black marble turned out quite beautiful when I paired it with a black tip for a french manicure. This is only the second time I’ve done my nails and the first time I used this color so my nails don’t look great. But I’m learning. The purple is very bright and noticeable but still soft and not garish. I paired with black ice glitter for Halloween kinda vibe. I’d say working with the glitter is hard. It doesn’t lay flat. There is no utensil offered by kiara sky to dust on glitter. You either pour or dip. I did see some people use a tiny pharmacy powder spoon they order off Amazon to do the sprinkling on bit. I would recommend that. Otherwise you don’t get much of an ombré effect. It’s hard to do 2 colors fast before the base dries and the powder doesn’t stick. I’m assuming it just takes practice. These are my nails grown out a week. I had to file down the nail area around the cuticle cuz I made them too thick so the color looks lighter there cuz of my file job after I’d already done top coat. The prep, activator and base coat all work great, but the topcoat bottle I got is kind of frustrating to work with. It dries so quickly that the product on the brush hardens before I can do all 10 fingers, so it leaves only a few fibres free and the rest a big chunk. Then when it dries on the nail the topcoat dries matte in some places and has a shrink-wrap appearance in others. Gelish Soak Off Basix Acrylic Powder Nail Polish Dip Manicure Set Starter Kit was selected through the Wal Mark Spark Reviewer Program for my honest opinion. I am disappointed because I got this for my 11 year old because kids always want to be like their mommie. I get dipped nails when I go to the nail salon so I thought this would be something similar. Wrong was I. There is no powder. I mean you can buy some, separately. Had I known that, I would have selected something else. Well we tried it anyways and outside of being disappointed about the powder, it turned out ok. As long as you follow the directions, you should not have any problems using this set. As far as a kid (my 11 year old), I recommend that a parent or someone older be there with them while using this to provide some guidance. They can do it on their own but at the same time you want to make sure things do not dry up or get a little too messy. Each bottle is color coded which is a plus. I like the fact that this was done. I have been using this product for a few months now and I love it. It's so easy and stress free. I love being able to do my own nails from home but still get a salon look. I have two issues with this product that is making me go to another brand. 1 even when your super careful to not drip around the top of the bottle they are very hard to open the next time. The other is the brushes are awful. They get hard after just a couple uses sometimes even in the middle of using them making the mani awful. When I have tried to use the brush restorer, when i go to dry off the bristles and feel them to make sure they are soft they pull right out. Even when I am gentle. This top coat will be the best you’ve ever used if you use it correctly. The first few times I tried it I was very disappointed with it. Hours after painting my nails, I was still getting smudges and nicks in the polish. It looked as though it was getting smudged and cloudy, and there was no shine. Then, I tried letting my coats dry A LOT longer then I usually would, and I dried them with a mini fan. After THAT, I had a shiny manicure that lasted over a week with little to no chipping. So- if you have the time to let your coats dry quite a long time, and/or an instrument to dry them (fan) then you will have great results!sd
Love this from OPI! OPI has recently become my new fave brand when it comes to nails. The finishing base coat and top coat work emmensly and has the quickest drying time I’ve ever experienced! I have been using this top coat on my nails for years and I love it because it leaves my nail polish so shiny. It's quite thick so you don't need much on the brush and I would recommend you do wipe the brush up the side of the bottle to remove some before you go in and apply it over your nail polish colour. Sometimes the brush does turn the same colour as the nail polish I'm applying it to but that doesn't effect the top coat at all. It also protects the edges of my nails from chipping too. The only thing that I don't particularly like is that it does take longer to dry that other brands I've used so that's why I'm giving it 4 stars.

This nail product is fantastic! This product is wonderful for people who like to keep their nails looking wonderful. I really like that you have the sturdiness of a set of acrylic nails but it doesn't feel as heavy as an acrylic set. I've noticed that the smells of the different products aren't as strong as they are with acrylic. I've also noticed that my nails aren't as dry and torn after toning the SNS like with acrylic. This top coat will be the best you’ve ever used if you use it correctly. The first few times I tried it I was very disappointed with it. Hours after painting my nails, I was still getting smudges and nicks in the polish. It looked as though it was getting smudged and cloudy, and there was no shine. Then, I tried letting my coats dry A LOT longer then I usually would, and I dried them with a mini fan. After THAT, I had a shiny manicure that lasted over a week with little to no chipping. So- if you have the time to let your coats dry quite a long time, and/or an instrument to dry them (fan) then you will have great results!sd
Love this from OPI! OPI has recently become my new fave brand when it comes to nails. The finishing base coat and top coat work emmensly and has the quickest drying time I’ve ever experienced! They’ve knocked all my other nail products out the park! I was super pleased with my application process. So many nail salons use the brand OPI and it has been featured in Hollywood movies! I have been using this top coat on my nails for years and I love it because it leaves my nail polish so shiny. It's quite thick so you don't need much on the brush and I would recommend you do wipe the brush up the side of the bottle to remove some before you go in and apply it over your nail polish colour. Sometimes the brush does turn the same colour as the nail polish I'm applying it to but that doesn't effect the top coat at all. It also protects the edges of my nails from chipping too. The only thing that I don't particularly like is that it does take longer to dry that other brands I've used so that's why I'm giving it 4 stars.

This powder is great. I've never had issues with clumping or not applying well. I started using it as part of my dip nail system and I'm very happy with the results. I use a layer of clear as a base and then add color to the top. I feel doing it this was uses less color product. Love it. Price is nice, also.christi.k
I’m a beginner for doing nails and this was my second acrylic powder I’ve used. At first I thought it was amazing, but the nails are just popping right off. This is not the first time it has happened! I did a fresh set on Friday night and by Saturday night I already had two missing nails. Now it’s Monday afternoon and the 6th nail has flew off this morning coming out the car! Just save yourself the time and money and don’t buy this brand at all. Absolute waste of money. Not even a week or half a week and 6/10 nails are gone.
I don’t know if this was just my powder but, I thought like it was drying my brush of the gel. The power also went on really thin but although that could’ve been the gel I was using. For me using this powder lasted about a week and usually other powders last me around two weeks three weeks with tips and gel polish foundation and topcoat on top.katie.v

I use to spend $45-$50 alone on a SNS dip powder nails at the salon and now that I discovered how easy and AFFORDABLE it is to do your own nails at home… GAME CHANGER. This is an amazing brand and almost every Ulta store I tried to go to for the color white was absolutely sold out! I got really lucky and found it at a location I was randomly near by. It doesn’t have a strong odor which is great, it’s a small jar of powder so it’s great that a little goes a long way. It only took 2 dips before I got the preferable coverage/color intensity and that speaks volumes! I love doing my own nails and save $$$ every month! I’m still learning how to make them more neat, so I can’t wait to get better!! What’s even more amazing is that I haven’t experienced any chipping lasts about 3+ weeks before having to redo them so they last soooo long. I'm loving the whole DIY dip nail concept! I've only tried this brand so I don't know how the others hold up. I did buy the starter kit and watched the tutorials so that I was well-prepared before I did my first dip manicure. It was thick and lumpy my first time, which made the edges lift after only a week of wear, but I learned from it. When I bought this gorgeous color, I knew to do thinner layers, avoid painting my cuticles at all costs, and really study the surfaces of my nails in good light after filing to make sure that they were smooth. It's still not perfect, but my nails are strong and look pretty durn good after one week! I feel like they'll last the full 21 days and I am EXCITED about this! I am not crazy about how long it takes to remove the product (about 20 mins each hand because I have to do this myself and I can only soak and wrap one hand at a time), but it's worth it for the long wear! 🙂 Also, this company should really work on these formulas so that the base coat doesn't get hardened so quickly and we can actually get a bunch of manicures out of a bottle!Dragonmermaid

I tried the system for the second time today. The first time I only did one nail. This time I did all of my nails. I do not recommend at all. The step 2 top/base coat is terrible to work with. It’s much like glue so I had to work very quickly. When used as a top coat, there’s not much shine. I ended up using my Seche Vite top coat just to give my nails a professional look. I bought product yesterday after watching multiple videos on different Dip Kits. This was my first time doing it myself. I found the directions that came with the kit a little vague, so I watched a video on how others used the kit. I only dipped only twice, probably should have dipped three times. Each video did things a little different, so next time I will try a different video to follow. After several off product top coats, I do have some dullness but, I think it's because of my own lack of experience with filling and the video I followed. Otherwise, they came out nice, strong and I am excited about doing it again and better!
So I went through the reviews after I got this product and figured out what the problems are as far as the activator brush getting clumped was. Instead of using the activator as a brush and brushing the activator on your nails you want to use it instead by tilting the tip of your finger upwards, don’t wipe the excess off the brush, and touch the brush to your nail the activator will actually spread through the dip powder without clumping the brush! After use go ahead and put the brush in the cleaner let it sit for a few minutes every now and then give it a really good shake. It will come out completely clean. Other than that I would use 2-3 coats and when dipping the nails afterwards give the finger a good tap to get rid of the excess powder on the nails between dips. Overall this is a very easy product to use. Yes there are a couple of trucks to using this stuff. But it’s pretty easy to use and is just as long lasting as going to a salon.

As nail salons are not open, this was and is a great option if you can find the time to do you nails yourself. Almost everything is in luded that you will need. However, remember nail polish remover, and have that available before you start. There is no "brush cleaner" as the instructions specified that you clean the brush with once you've applied the acrylic to your nails, and there is not nail clippers included, and there is also no additional container for the powder or acrylic liquid either, like you may see them use when you are at the nail salon.
