I got this in a whim. My nails have been all ridged and flaking ever since the pandemic started. The hand sanitizer and not getting acrylics anymore combined with age and they just look d awful, it sucked. Polish doesn't last and I tried other similar products that peeled or flakes much more easily. I did acrylic nails for a couple years and I had the bad habit of peeling them off. I used this and in just a couple weeks they were healed (not back to normal, but more smooth, less painful, and not so weak and thin). This is certainly a handy all-in-one product that can be used as a base coat, top coat, fill-in, and nail protectant. I typically do gel or dip on my nails because they are very brittle and prone to flaking. I apply this product over my 1+ week old dip nails to give them extra shine. This product has a lovely, moisturizing gel-like texture that gives a wonderful shine. However, because it has a thicker, more moisturizing consistency, it takes a very long time to dry so would probably not be ideal as a top coat for regular nail polish. If you don’t touch it at all, the finish is beautiful, but even if you accidentally touch it hours later before it has fully dried, the finish can become texturized and dull. I think this is best used as a nail protectant over natural nails or over acrylic/dip/gel. It is super easy to apply with a generous large brush and (relatively) minimal nail polish odor. I would recommend this product on polish-breaks between manicures. It is also a great all-purpose travel polish. This treatment was super beneficial for my natural nails. I had just removed my acrylic nails at home with a regular nail file and some acetone, so my nails were weak, dry, and a little brittle. After washing my hands after all the abrasive removal, I put on two layers of this treatment and then some cuticle oil after it dried. Not only are my nails shiny and healthy-looking, they also feel a lot stronger than before. My nails have always been a little weaker and textured, but I genuinely would not be able to see that with this treatment on. My nails are also significantly smoother than they were with all the filing I did. I also found the smell to be quite pleasant compared to normal nail polish and acetone, but maybe that was because I applied it after smelling acetone fumes for a couple hours. While I love it as a treatment, I cannot vouch for it as a base coat nor a top coat, This could be a good “primer” for a base coat, but it doesn’t seem sticky enough to be a good base coat that helps polish adhere to it. I just used this for the first time a few days ago. Wow! I had a nail that was broken so far down and almost all the way across. I wouldn’t have been able to cut it back without lots of pain and blood. I followed the instructions for using this product, and it couldn’t have been easier. Two coats, light buffing, and now you could not tell after polish that there was ever a break. This stuff works great, I was using it for a year before covid and quarantine hit, when like a lot of ladies, I started attempting "dip nails" at home. Then I realized that it's kind of like dipped nails. So, now I pretty much "dip nail" to repair my permanantly broken nail. Now, back to the Orly nail rescue kit. It does work great, however, you will run out of glue (or it will just get hard and not be able to be opened) before you run out nail repair powder. I want this as an ongoing use for my permanently broken nail. The little nail file that's included is not really needed since we all have nail files at home, and once you use this teeny-tiny nail file, then meh. I've tried using Kiss nail glue with the Orly nail repair powder, but unfortunately, that does't work. So, we flat out need more Orly brush-on nail glue in this kit. It would be more worth the money if it came with 3 bottles of the glue and one little tub of powder for the $10/$15. I wish I could buy the glue separately to use with my extra powder that i still have left over. I've bought a 2nd kit, for more glue, but am still using the powder from kit 1. Let me first say how much I hate my nails! They grow at different rates, they are super weak and the white tips are all different- some go straight across, some are curved, and some are not symmetrical. I'm not a fan of acrylic nails because of how thick they are and I don't like being held to an appt every 2 weeks. This product is so easy to use and works! I like to keep my nails polished because it hides the inconsistencies. I can't believe how strong this made my nails! I was almost going to clip a nail that was about to rip because it was so weak, and that's the day it was delivered! So far, that nail has survived a whole week! I highly recommend this! I also recommend 2 coats. The only thing that might be a con is the amount of glue vs the powder. I'm thinking I will run out of glue way before the powder. It took me weeks to finally get it in the mail, but I really like this product. My nails are badly damaged from gels and acrylics. The pink color is ok but would not be my choice. It does let me see where it has worn off on the edges more easily though. My nails are easily broken and thin to begin with, so damaged they are very fragile. This is the Orly Nailtrition treatment polish and it retails for $15 at Ulta. This is suppose to be a nail strengthener for peeling and splitting nails. The formula is thick, shiny, and pink. I was hoping for something more clear. Not a deal breaker. It makes the nails appear bright and shiny. I recently wanted to take a break from getting my nails done and had the acrylic removed. My nails were peeling and thin underneath. I thought I would give this product a try and after a month, I’m really not impressed. It did not make my nails any stronger, nor did it help them grow. I really did not have any expectations of this product when I first started using it but figured it was worth a shot. I had acrylics for over a decade and then had to stop during the pandemic. My natural nails were so damaged, brittle and peeling, I had given up the idea of having nice nails again. I have used Nailtiques Formula 2 for many years. It absolutely improves the strength and look of my nails. The trick is to use it consistently and follow the directions to apply one coat daily. I make one to three applications a week to maintain the results and make sure I always have this on my nails. I don't wear color polish often but Nailtiques works great as a first coat with color polish as the second. If you are just starting out with Nailtiques I would suggest not using colored polish for the first few weeks and just use Nailtiques to give your nails a good start. I'm only on week 3 of the process, which is a month long, but so far I've absolutely loved this nail strengthener! I've tried tons of other nail strengtheners, including a $25 one, and this is the best one I've used so far. It doesn't tint the tips of your nails or turn them yellow, and it has a very natural sheen–not too glossy. My nails are stronger than they've ever been. I have only chipped a nail once, and that was at my job during the first week of using this strengthener (I work a pretty hands on, physical job). Since then, I haven't broken or chipped a single nail. I plan on continuing to wear this as a base coat or just naturally on my nails once I'm done with the month. Long ago I gave up on my nails, trying to just handle them short to curtail their peeling and splitting tendencies. Last march I had a shellac mani to be fancy for a wedding and it ruined my already quite pathetic nails. After several months of trying to grow out a vertical split that had resulted I searched for something that would strengthen them enough to at least get back to normal shorties. Well, I saw this product and the reviews and thought i would give it a try. I did follow directions to the letter, which helped and it was at a vacation time for me so I could stay on track. After the first two weeks I had never seen my nails so 'non splitty' , and something in this is definitely fortifying them. I currently have the following Nail-Aid products: Biotin Ultimate Strength, 10 Quick Salon Nail Hacks, 1 Minute Artificials, and Iron Shiel Top Coat. I have used all of them on my nails, most recently I used all of them as my manicure.
These products are inexpensive, and you can find them at Walmart and Amazon (amongst others). These products make your nails very strong, and protect them successfully from breaking. I have not had any breakage since I started using them. Previously I used a different nail hardener, but had breakage with that one.

If you haven’t tried it, IT’s TIME! I usually am not one to write glowing reviews, but after 6 years of constant nail enhancements (dip powder, gel, and acrylic), I finally have healthy and strong NATURAL nails again! When the pandemic first happened, I was on of the many people who didn’t know what to do without my nail shop. Once my dip powder grew out, my nails were red, thin, brittle and peeling! They were sensitive to touch! I let the sensitivity go away, and then I purchased nailtiques formula 2 plus! After about 1 1/2 months of constant use (one coat applied every day for a week and then removing it on the 7th day and repeat), my nails have never been better! I wear polish and people always think that it’s gel. I also use formula 1 for maintenance, but I don’t have to even use it all the time. If you’re apprehensive, don’t be! I’ve been wearing acrylic nails for well over 20 years and since everything was initially closed from COVID-19, I started bringing my severely damaged nails back to health. I won’t step foot in a salon again! I think overall this does strengthen the nails however, because it does contain formaldehyde I DO NOT use as frequently as directed. I apply one coat and let it stay for a week. During that time I use the Hard as Hoof nail cream to keep my nails and cuticles moist. Once I remove the polish, I DO NOT immediately go to reapply this process. Instead, I let my nails BREATH (still applying my nail cream) for about a week and then redo the polish. Some people don’t realize that it’s really not good to keep burdening your nails with excess or repeated polishing habits as they will equally do just as much damage to the nail. I also DO NOT use acetone polish remover (the less you expose your nails to harsh chemicals, the better off your nails will be), I use this incredibly phenomenal plant based product (that you can also get from Target) called Blossom and it conditions your nails as you take the polish off! I used this (2 plus) back in the 90’s when an iron deficiency resulted in weak and brittle nails. They were beautiful after a couple of months use. Since then, I’ve used the no. 1 formula on occasion. Recently, several rounds of surgery and anesthesia left my nails in a dreadful state. My nails have been so strong since I started using this regularly.
