20 Best Nail Tools (2024 Update)

So this is the Melody Susie Sheen Nail Drill. I ordered this in 2019. 5 STARS y'all!! It gets all five stars from me because it's just that good and still works as it did the day I bought it, 3 years ago. My bf loves for me to do his nails with this 😆 (he's a diva too). First thing I noticed when I unboxed it is it doesn't feel light, plastic-y and cheap. It has a "for professionals" feel to it. You may not know what I mean but you'll see once you order one. It works so good y'all! It comes with 6 drill bits and a case for storage, 6 sanding bands of diff grit levels, a baggie of sanding bands, user manual, the actual electric drill, and the power cord. The drill has two spins: clockwise and counter, plus it has a dial to go fast or slower. And the best part, it does an awesome job! I can't even fit everything I want to say in this review. Was so grateful to find this product in the catalog. Have to give my mother pedicures or her nails become all ingrown or distorted. I received this product for FREE in exchange for my honest review. I loved giving this a try, it's really great for cleaning up your nails at home and I especially like that it is cordless which makes it super easy to use anywhere! I typically get my nails done professionally but I always do my pedicures at home myself. I found this was great to get my toe nails smooth and prepped for some fresh polish. I have also used the cuticle tip to clean up the cuticles on my hands between visits to my nail place. I also tried taking off some old dip powder from my nails when I first got this product but didn't have any luck – however I also didn't soak them in acetone at all before trying that so it's possible that was the reason. Ultimately I found this to be a great product if you want to file, smooth and polish your clean (and unpolished) nails before a new fresh coat at home! @samlovessamplessamantha.s

I've used this nailer for 2 years now. No issues, no jams, shoots every time you pull the trigger with 1/2" to 2 1/2" brad nails. I also have the 16 gauge nailer and it too works perfectly.BigAl

I absolutely love this drill. The weight, color, and portability are amazing! It’s so pretty! I’m a beginner and it’s so easy to use. I can’t wait to get the matching LED lamp!! My photos don’t do it justice. Such a beautiful color. Came with everything in my photos. Only down side which isn’t that big of a deal or worth a return or exchange. I'm a licensed nail tech and I've always wanted this specific e-file from Kiara Sky but couldn't justify the price at the time. I believe I got this during their 20% entire site sale. Don't get me wrong, despite 20% off, it was still expensive but BOY DOES THIS WORK LIKE A DREAM. It's super quiet, powerful, and low maintenance. My drill arrived on Monday June 6th, 2022. I am blown away. This drill is awesome! There is absolutely no vibration and even at 35,000 there is almost no noise. I've tried many nail drill in the 22 years I've been doing my own nails. From the lower priced ones on Amazon ro more expensive brands like Medicool, iGel and Nail Genie. This product is straightforward and easy to use. I love it! It is easy to change out the tips. It is also easy to use it with your left hand if you are someone like me that is not ambidextrous. I had soaked my acrylics off, getting as much off as I could, and I used this product to take them the rest of the way off. My nails are smooth and they look the best they ever have after taking off acrylics! I am so pleased! I will be using this in the future every time I do my own nails! I saw this product on Brandi Raines beauty blog, she was doing a tutorial on it and I thought I would give it a try. Well when I received it I guess I got a little intimidated by it and decided to try it on my toes first instead of using it on my nails. I Love it! Received the nailer this morning. Seems to be of quality workmanship. I am impressed so far. Came with nails, oil, air hook up and instructions. I have used it already to instal quarter round trim. Easy to use. The only way I feel to improve this product is to have a tool bag included.hopwal

To the gentleman or lady that could not get this nailer to function properly. I had a similar issue of not getting the nail through the desired wood. However, by increasing the pressure from the compressor it will increase the power to the nailer. Allowing you sufficient compression power to nail through the desired thickness. With regards to this nailer I have used one similar but cannot provide a rating until I have used it. Please stay tuned…David

It comes with a cloth zippered case and has form fitting places in the form of a plastic insert which holds the device and all of the accessories neatly. The plastic insert can be removed if you prefer. The case retains its shape if you remove the insert. The inside lid of the case has a mesh pocket where you can keep the power cord and the manual. The case does not have a handle. In the case: Power cord with a micro USB end to charge up the device, Dust shield, 10 attachments, and a User Guide. No plug for the cord. The attachments are: Sapphire cone – to remove dry skin and calluses from feet and manicures the toenails. Coarse Sapphire wheel – Files nails quickly Fine Sapphire wheel – Files nails. Finer than the coarse wheel to file more gently and slowly Felt cone – For buffing and polishing Cylindrical Grinder – Grinds and smooths toenails Pointed Grinder – Removes ingrown toenails. Small for precise use. Round Sapphire Grinder – Removes corns. Use carefully. Needle-shaped Cutter – Precision tool. Used on ingrown nails or parts of dead nails. I thought I would not need to change the device from clockwise to counterclockwise and back again, but I found myself changing it while I was working to make it easier, so I see why this feature was included. The plus and minus buttons on the device control the speed. There are 3 speed settings. The instructions say to always start at the lowest speed and only increase the speed if needed. I never used it any faster. I thought the slowest setting was more than adequate. There is an automatic switch-off after 20 minutes. I like that the device is cordless, because I was holding it at all sorts of different angles to do my pedicure. Nail dust was flying everywhere so I attached the Dust Shield to keep it from flying up in my face. It worked great for that. It doesn’t catch the dust. It just protects it from getting it in your eyes or accidentally breathing it in. There is an LED light. If you use one of the larger attachments, it will block the light from shining where you are working. Also it was too difficult to try to always keep the light on the area I was working. I did use it though. I would stop for a second and shine the light on the spot to better see how it was looking. My First Pedicure with the Beurer: I started out using the coarse sapphire wheel on my toenails. That quickly got them filed down. I switched to the Fine Sapphire wheel to smooth the edge and “fine tune" my nail filing. Next, I used the Sapphire cone to remove my cuticles from my toenails and to decrease some of the slight thickness of the nails on my great toes. Then I switched to the Pointed Grinder to get the cuticles at the corners and to fine tune any cuticles that I had missed, as well as getting the corners of my great toe nails. I followed that up with the Felt cone to buff my toenails. I used both the Fine Sapphire Callus file and the Sapphire Cone on calluses and dry skin on my feet. I really loved the sapphire cone and how it made my rough skin feel baby smooth. I used the Sapphire Cone mostly for that. You do not have to use a lot of pressure for the attachments to work. In fact, very little pressure will be much safer while providing excellent results. Also use the attachments in circular movements, except when shortening the nails. At first, I was trying to keep my feet positioned over a small waste basket, but dust was flying everywhere, so I ended up sitting on a bath mat and letting the dust fall onto the mat, which is easily washable, or can be vacuumed. Before retirement, I was an RN and often took care of diabetics, including their foot nail care. I would have loved to have had this tool. I feel with proper use (not too much pressure and using circular motions) it would be very suitable for them with minimal risk. When I was working, only an RN was allowed to do the nail care on a diabetic’s feet. The reason for this was because of the risk of injury using the sharp cutting tools that were the only things available at the time. These are my all time favorite nail clippers. They always make great clean cuts, have a good spring like action to them and don't fall all over the place on you when you're trying to squeeze them. They are perfectly sharp and don't slip out of my hands at all. I would love if they had a case specifically for these though. I put off purchasing these nail clippers because of the price. I mean, who pays $45 + tax + shipping for NAIL CLIPPERS?? Well, I do. The last time I used, or tried to use, my regular nail clippers, I realized I needed to make this purchase. I have osteo arthritis which has made it difficult for me to do normal, every day activities…like clipping my nails. These nail clippers are easy to use; they are comfortable to hold. I wanted to use this product for trimming my toenails. I thought the angle would be helpful. The angle was good but the shape of the cutting blades were not good. Too rounded and short. Because of the shape, the clippers chewed the toe nails instead of clipping them. The clippers are fine for finger nails. I did look at the photos in the description of the product and saw only one photo of use on toe nails. I did wonder about the fact that there was only that one photo and in hindsight, I think I should have paid attention and not purchased the clippers.Barbara

I've used Revlon nail implements forever–they are of high quality and are reasonably priced. As a allied healthcare worker, I use hand sanitizer frequently, which leaves my cuticles ragged. This nail groomer helps to push back my cuticles without much force and keeps my nails well groomed. This is a great little manicure kit! It's pretty basic as far as it just has a nail clipper, 2 files, and a buffer block, but really if you just want to keep your nails clean, smooth, and nice looking that's all you need. It's my go-to kit that I use each night to keep my nails healthy. The clippers are small but they're strong enough to cut even thick toenails. And I love the buffer block! I love the different sides for different things: file, buff, smooth, and shine. It even has them numbered so you know what order to use it to get the best results. It does a great job of smoothing your nails and creating a nice base for applying nail polish or gluing/sticking on fake nails. It's a great prepping kit. The Nail Pro Premium charges easily with a micro-USB cable and needs to be charged for three (3) hours before the first use. It seems to hold that charge quite well and last up to about two (2) hours of use for each three (3) hours of charge. There is a speed control of three (3) speeds, and a control to make the attachments rotate in either direction. The unit is ergonomic and fits well in the hand which makes it easier to control and do detail work. The cordless operation also allows for more movement of use while using the device for either a manicure or a pedicure. I love how it works so well and then neatly packs back into its zip case where it is all contained for the next use. It only weighs 4.69 ounces so it can easily be packed in your travel case for an extended trip. The Nail Pro Premium comes with a limited lifetime warranty for the original owner of the product. I haven’t seen another this neatly designed or organized that has the power of this particular product. I definitely recommend it if you need a nail care system.
