I used good nail prep, a base coat, two coats of pure, and a top coat. I have been adding a top coat daily to try to get longer wear. I am on day 5 without any chips. My tips on my dominant hand are worn off but otherwise it is in great shape. It barely shows. It makes my nails look clean versus having a noticeable color. I don't think it's worth the money if you have to use it all right away. I don't have this same issue with other "17 free" polishes so I don't think it has anything to do with how it's stored. I bought this because I’m pregnant and trying to avoid all of the harmful chemicals I can. This polish is free from the 17 harmful chemicals found in all other types of polish, so I wasn’t expecting it to work very well. However, this might be the best nail polish I’ve ever used! It glides on perfectly, I only needed one coat, it dries fairly quickly and I didn’t notice a single chip until about a week later. I used this nail polish for the first time three days ago and I couldn't be happier with the result! For years I have had acrylic nails and have recently stopped because I don't have time to go and get them done with my new baby, so I decided to invest in some new nail polish and boy am I glad I did! I used the JINsoon Power Coat Strengthening Base Coat, followed by 2 coats of the Essie Light Lilac, then the JINsoon Top Gloss Quick Dry Top Coat, and finished off with the Essie Quick-e Drying Drops Nail Polish Treatment and my nail look AMAZING! They actually look like I've got shellac on. And what's even more amazing, they dried SUPER fast! It took me maybe 10-15 minutes to do the application, and then I let dry for maybe 20-30 minutes and they were completely set. I was able to get dinner ready and do the dishes straight away with no denting or smudging! This is a game changer! I'm now on day three and they still look as good as day 1! In terms of color, this shade looks great with one coat or multiple depending on the look youre going for. And since it has a nice shimmer to it, it doesnt show imperfections or chips either. I love natural colors, so this one was an A+ for me. Because you can really build up the opacity of this polish, this made applying it really easy with three main swipes across the nail. And due to the shimmer, its really forgiving even if you do make a mistake. The brush was also quite flat and wide, which helped with the application process. (Drying time was quite short especially if you do thin layers). This polish was also great in terms of wear and is still holding up well after a good week of wearing it. Granted I did apply a topcoat, this still held up through housework and doing dishes by hand. I love the color, not too white not pink, just right. The formula however is horrible. Also, the mandatory 3 layers make the nail polish to peel off in a day or two because it’s simply two thick and rubber feel like almost. I would love others to enjoy this wonderful nail polish but at this stage I am not able to use this color anymore. I don’t like anything with sparkle or shine and neither one of your colors mimic marshmallows. The open bottles show the clumps on top. Unfortunately my video would not upload. My favorite nail polishes! Seriously! I've thrown all away my other nail polishes that went bad within months (*Cough* Essie). This version of Sally Hansen is a long lasting and fast drying that do not chip, in my experience. The flat rectangular brush allows me to better apply the nail polish with little to no mess which is a plus for me! Why? Because I am terrible at painting my nails with the regular brushes. Some colors only need one coat and you're set!! I finish it off with the top coat of Color Thearpy to give it a nice shine. For those wondering, I use Sally Hansen Hard as Nails as a base. It's my own fault. I keep buying Sally Hansen products and 90% of the time, they disappoint me. This one is my biggest mistake. Like other reviewers have said, The Moonstone color looks much more appealing in the bottle. When I paint my nail, it's so thin and barely shows. I have to do three coats just to see anything. Unfortunately, it looks and feels like those cheap nail polishes meant for children. I figured it could be used as a cute top coat since it's so clear, but it goes on clumpy and somehow there's tiny air bubbles? The only positive is that it does dry within 60 seconds. I got this back in June from my local sallys beauty store, to paint my nails before I left for California. Never painted my nails until today. The bottle is not even 3 months old and omg it is horrible. The color is so beautiful but the application was applying like it is was a oldie. Streaks, very splotchy not at all impressed. It’s possible I got a bad batch, but my experience with this polish was terrible. I got the ‘My Ca-Banana’ colour. The first time I used it, I couldn’t get it to go on my nails evenly at all, it was extremely streaky and formed clumps that wouldn’t smooth out. I kept trying and ended up needing to do three and a half coats to get it opaque. I let each coat dry in front of a fan on high for 10 minutes, and 20 minutes after I had finished, I bumped my toe into the corner of a table and the polish came right off of that nail in one clump. I initially chocked this up to me not having painted my own nails in a very long time and maybe just doing too many coats so I took it all off and tried again.
I did two thin coats, drying for 10 minutes between, over 40 hours ago now and I can /still/ press my fingernail into it and leave an obvious dent. It was tacky up until about 24 hours after applying. Dont bother with this nail polish, any other cheap nail polish would be better.Onyx Cave

I received the CND CREATIVE PLAY TOP COAT to try for free in exchange for my honest opinion from ChickAdvisor and I was pleasantly surprised at the results I always knew the importance of a top coat, but frankly, im lazy and most nail polish takes forever to dry so I usually skip that step. Oops.Top coats are important for manicures because they give a finish, harden nails, and sometimes can help even out brushstrokes for a better looking manicure.I applied one coat on top of my base coat and color which was easy and smooth to apply. The product dried much quicker then I thought it would in which I timed it at approximately 3 minutes. A little bit goes a long way and one dip in the bottle was almost enough to cover one hand. I really liked the finish, it added a little bit of shine but nothing too crazy or blinding. It was just perfect. Over all the topcoat is important to seal and protect your manicure and I think it does a fantastic job of that. I only did one hand with the topcoat and that hand was less prone to chipping and breaking. The hand without the topcoat only lasted two days before I received a chip on the hand with the topcoat lasted four. The hand with the topcoat only has one finger nail chipped and it happened right after I did the dishes. All the other 4 nails still look incredible. On the hand without the top coat all 5 nails are chipped. When it came time to take off the nail polish I had no issues and everything came off easily and painless with nail polish remover and a paper towel. Overall a top coat IS important in a nice manicure and this one is a fantastic option I had less streaks and chips when using the top coat and my manicure looked amazingAnonymous
I purchased Clay Canyon about 5 years ago and it became my favorite nailpolish . A beautiful clay color with a rosy/pink undertone. When I had to toss it I was so bummed but knew I’d repurchase. Repurchase I did – but sadly not until a few weeks ago. Same brand, same color. But it is NOT the same. I figured in that time it must’ve seen a reformulation. It is thick and a very streaky application. It dries very flat and matte (it looked cheap). But the weirdest part – it is not the same color. Clay Canyon is now much more beige with orange undertones – not nearly as pretty. So if you’re looking for a basic beige color with terrible application, this is sadly now it.JoyFull

The product dried quick 3 mins and one dip in the bottle was enough to cover one hand. It applied evenly and was more thick then thin but was the perfect consistency.I used the product on only one hand combined with the color coat and top coat and on my other hand I only applied color. The hand with the base coat lasted 2 days longer then the hand without and chipping, when it did occur, was much less noticeable The hand with the base coat also had more even color distribution and far less streaks. It also came off super easy with nail polish remover and a paper towel The fact that this product contains no Formaldehyde is also a big seller for meOverall a top coat IS important in a nice manicure and this one is a fantastic option I had less streaks and chips when using the base coat and my manicure looked amazingAnonymous

Wow! Finally a kid-friendly nail Polish that actually goes on nicely and LASTS!! The colors are beautifully vibrant and I love that they all have a nice shimmer/sparkle to them. I used the top/base coat on my two kids (4 and 6 year olds) then alternated with the purple, green, and pink colors to their liking for both nails and toes. I really appreciate that that it doesn’t smell like chemicals! I don’t have to worry about my kids inhaling the fumes or putting their hands in their mouths (one of them likes to bite her nails). I loved the saturated color and it lasted for 2 weeks on my toes without chipping. I did experience some chipping on my fingernails after 5 days. I used Sally Hansen base and top coat with both toes and fingers. I usually use a soy based polish remover for removal all my polishes ((usually Sally Hansen, Opi and Essie). However, the polish wouldn’t come off with the soy polish remover. Luckily I had some acetone remover and was able to use that. Even with the acetone remover, it took me an hour to get the polish off my fingers! I didn’t bother trying to remove the polish off my toes. I went to a nail salon and they had to soak off the polish with acetone remover and file off the remnants of polish. They asked me if I was wearing gel polish. I had to show them the bottle. I won’t use this polish again. I get the same staying power with my regular polishes with the headache of removal.LadyCG

This is my go to color! It’s absolutely the perfect shade of pale pink! the color build up is great, you can do light or more opaque. I’ve even done a French fade using this color alongside some white acrylic paint (youtubed it) and it turned out so so good. I cannot tell you how much I love this color! The color is a pretty light raspberry pink when they’re cold, and a milky/clear pearly white when they’re warm. I got my bottle off Amazon for $6.99 USD. When I don’t pick at my nails (which I have a bad habit of doing…) they last for a couple weeks. It’s not prone to chipping which is so nice. The glitter chunks are large. I ordered the color, Black Knight. It's black with a tiny bit of iridescent shimmer. I applied the nail polish as soon as I got it and I must say I am very pleased with the results. The polish goes on so evenly in just 3 or 4 strokes. It stays in place, it doesn't drip off the side of my nails. There is absolutely no odor, which is amazing! It dries quickly and looks great. loved the colours and bought this polish in spite of, not because, of its name. $40 for nail polish is definitely overpriced but I could not find a comparable colour and nearly bought 3 at once. That goodness I didn't. The bottle is cute (reminds me of 1980s Cutex, though it's much worse that that $2 polish). The colour is just lovely. BUT the polish is thick, doesn't spread well and streaks so you have to use too much. I did not expect gluey, gloppy polish for $40. Bottle is 1/3 of an ounce, other quality fullsize nail polish are 1/2 ounce. So at $90 an ounce, I want perfection, and this is not even close. Color is very good – a near perfect black – and goes on thin enough for each layer to be applied smoothly. I use quality base primer & quality top coat – both extend polish. I let time pass for each layer to dry. I did not use hands for an hour after application and admired my shinny black nails. I was cautious with my nails the rest of the day and in the morning, no marks. The next day I saw chips by midday and I was doing nothing that should disturb polish, by evening 4 nails chipped. I love this color! I always love a nice deep red nail color and Elderberry was exactly what I was looking for. Ever since I tried this brand about a year ago I have thrown out my cheaper, short lasting drugstore nail polish and replaced them with different colors of Londontown. I can typically get my nail color to last a week on my fingernails whereas my old polishes would usually last 2-3 days before they started chipping badly. I am hard on my nails doing a lot of housework, dishes, washing cars, etc. but this nail polish lasts through it. It also seems to strengthen my nails when I wear it regularly. This company excels at sheers. Creams are a little less reliable. I'm buying the rest of the sheers so I have them all. They're THAT good. This one has more color than teatime. It's a bit more mauve/brown than pink. Same flawless coverage. 100 percent streak free with one coat. Goes on like no other polish I've used. Creamy in application, and color. Light my Sapphire by opi…it is what it is: one of those mysterious dark nail colors that for most viewers it's simply labeled "black", but given a few more minutes they will see the darkest shade of blue with a minuscule hint of gray, which I'm a fan. I was looking for a darker blue shade for a couple of months. The navy blue didn't seem right. So I found out about LMS and I bought the color yesterday morning and put it on as soon as I could. Before buying it, I asked the girl if I could quickly take a look at the swatch. It showed up black, then I got it closer to the window for natural light, and then it was the darker blue I wanted. I'm a happy camper. Because I have so many nail polishes, 1 bottle of light my sapphire it's enough for now, so probably I wouldn't buy another one in the next few months. Some people find OPI's brush to be a pain, but I don't mind it at all. Now what works for ME: every time I put on any mysterious superdark shade of nail polish I tend to dress more feminine just to even things out: skirt and dresses (with winter attire), gold rings, a shirt with a nice little bow, messy bun, side ponytail. The polish had a strong smell. This smell (after painting my nails) would eventually disappear in a couple of days. Experience using it: I painted the nails on both hands, using neither a base nor top coat – two thin coats on my left hand, and two thick coats on my right hand. The bristles of the brush fanned out readily, covering my whole nail (and more, for smaller nails) in one fell swoop. Thinner coats dried fairly quickly, while thick coats took forever (45 mins!) to dry. After drying, my left hand had semi-sheer paint (this made the colour look like the pinkish taupe on the website), while my right hand had opaque paint (purplish taupe). The polish was glossy enough to make me skip putting a top coat. The polish lasted for over a week, but the polish on the sides of my nails chipped away within 3-4 days of applying the polish. That said, this only happened to the nails of fingers I use the most; the polish on my ring fingers and pinkies remained completely intact (I'm still waiting for them to show signs of wear). Even while chipping/wearing away, the polish remained perfectly smooth and pearly on my nails. I received this as a #freeproduct from Top Box to review. I have used this nail polish before and its a great polish to use. It lasts a lot longer than other nail polish brands, so you're not always having to redo your nails. Normally I wouldn't use such a light color, I prefer brighter more bold colors, but this pink was pretty on my finger nails. I do recommend using a primer color under this pink (Gossamer Garments) unless you like the sheerness of light pink. This was a cute color for my toe nails. I did find the brush to be a little big for my nail bed, which would leave a little polish on the side of my toe, but nothing a q-tip and remover can't fix! I used this nail polish for the first time three days ago and I couldn't be happier with the result! For years I have had acrylic nails and have recently stopped because I don't have time to go and get them done with my new baby, so I decided to invest in some new nail polish and boy am I glad I did! I used the JINsoon Power Coat Strengthening Base Coat, followed by 2 coats of the Essie Light Lilac, then the JINsoon Top Gloss Quick Dry Top Coat, and finished off with the Essie Quick-e Drying Drops Nail Polish Treatment and my nail look AMAZING! They actually look like I've got shellac on. And what's even more amazing, they dried SUPER fast! It took me maybe 10-15 minutes to do the application, and then I let dry for maybe 20-30 minutes and they were completely set. This was my first purchase from ORLY and I am IN LOVE. Love the formula, love the brush. At first I felt the brush didn't pick up product as it should, but the shape of the brush is the BEST I've used. I always struggle to cover the side edges of my nails with polish, but this brush is designed perfectly for that. It very easily spread over my nail and down to the edge WITHOUT straying onto my skin. As for coverage, the first coat didn't dry so quickly that I couldn't go back and fully cover the nail. I therefore only needed 2 coats for an even, solid polish. Will be purchasing more colors from them. Highly recommend!!!Alexa
Exactly what I wanted in a red! Bright and showy, yet elegant and gorgeous! Perfect for manis and pedis. Fun for going to the local festival on Saturday afternoon as well as sophisticated for dancing at an evening soiree. I have been searching for a true red that was not orange-y or too burgundy and this is the shade I wanted. I like the Breathable line. They seem to endure longer than most other polishes and make my somewhat soft nails stronger. FYI: I was NOT compensated for this review. I ordered online and the shipment was delayed by the carrier(s), but once I contacted Orly, their customer service followed up and shipment was expedited from where it had stalled. Problem resolved. All but one bottle I ordered was sealed. It so happened that the one without a seal was this Star Spangled. As the title says, this is such a fun topper! It reminds me a bit of a carnival with funnel cake and ring toss games haha. It's bright and colorful and is fairly easy to apply in terms of getting a perfect amount of all the different glitter pieces on your nail. I did dab once or twice with the brush after brushing it on to try to place a couple of the larger bits a little more strategically, and it worked like a charm. I'm attaching a photo with it Turn It Up over two coats of Here Comes the Sun. If you see micro bubbles in the clear portion of the polish, please ignore! That was due to the top coat I used (and have since stopped using lol) and not Turn It Up.AJ S.

I received the CND CREATIVE PLAY TOP COAT to try for free in exchange for my honest opinion from ChickAdvisor and I was pleasantly surprised at the results I always knew the importance of a top coat, but frankly, im lazy and most nail polish takes forever to dry so I usually skip that step. Oops.Top coats are important for manicures because they give a finish, harden nails, and sometimes can help even out brushstrokes for a better looking manicure.I applied one coat on top of my base coat and color which was easy and smooth to apply. The product dried much quicker then I thought it would in which I timed it at approximately 3 minutes. A little bit goes a long way and one dip in the bottle was almost enough to cover one hand. I really liked the finish, it added a little bit of shine but nothing too crazy or blinding. It was just perfect. Over all the topcoat is important to seal and protect your manicure and I think it does a fantastic job of that. I only did one hand with the topcoat and that hand was less prone to chipping and breaking. The hand without the topcoat only lasted two days before I received a chip on the hand with the topcoat lasted four. The hand with the topcoat only has one finger nail chipped and it happened right after I did the dishes. All the other 4 nails still look incredible. On the hand without the top coat all 5 nails are chipped. When it came time to take off the nail polish I had no issues and everything came off easily and painless with nail polish remover and a paper towel. Overall a top coat IS important in a nice manicure and this one is a fantastic option I had less streaks and chips when using the top coat and my manicure looked amazingAnonymous
I purchased Clay Canyon about 5 years ago and it became my favorite nailpolish . A beautiful clay color with a rosy/pink undertone. When I had to toss it I was so bummed but knew I’d repurchase. Repurchase I did – but sadly not until a few weeks ago. Same brand, same color. But it is NOT the same. I figured in that time it must’ve seen a reformulation. It is thick and a very streaky application. It dries very flat and matte (it looked cheap). But the weirdest part – it is not the same color. Clay Canyon is now much more beige with orange undertones – not nearly as pretty. So if you’re looking for a basic beige color with terrible application, this is sadly now it.JoyFull

Oops.Base coats are important for manicures because they improve adhesion of the color coat and they prevent nail staining which this product did a great job of I applied one coat which was easy and smooth to apply. The product dried quick 3 mins and one dip in the bottle was enough to cover one hand. It applied evenly and was more thick then thin but was the perfect consistency.I used the product on only one hand combined with the color coat and top coat and on my other hand I only applied color. The hand with the base coat lasted 2 days longer then the hand without and chipping, when it did occur, was much less noticeable The hand with the base coat also had more even color distribution and far less streaks. It also came off super easy with nail polish remover and a paper towel The fact that this product contains no Formaldehyde is also a big seller for meOverall a top coat IS important in a nice manicure and this one is a fantastic option I had less streaks and chips when using the base coat and my manicure looked amazingAnonymous

I love that this OPI Nature Strong nail polish is vegan, naturally derived, and uses recycled materials for the container! I was a little bit skeptical at first but OPI is a great quality brand so I was happy to try the two colors. The light peachy polish went on a little streaky but I was able to do 3 coats and it looked fine. The pink one was fine. Both applied smoothly and dried pretty quickly, which I was very happy with. I used a base coat and top coat, expecting some chipping to happen pretty quickly as I get with most polishes, but surprisingly I went nearly 6 days with no chips! And the chip I did get was very small. Super durable despite gardening, doing dishes, etc. I'm excited to buy other colors! This is definitely my fave nail polish and is better than other brands I have tried. I really like the message behind this line of nail polishes. I try to be more eco conscious with my purchases so I feel really good about buying this line vs. other nail polishes. I definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for more sustainable nail polish options, but honestly even if you don't care about any of that this is a great nail polish!Awold
I love this color nail polish ! It's the perfect shade 💖 The name of this nail polish is cute It's called "Knowledge is Flower " 🌸 lol how cute is that! I like that the pigment is strong so with one coat if you do it right will cover the whole nail. I only went in with two coats of nail polish but I like that it didn't show any streaks. Also fun fact is this nail polish is vegan.. like whaaat ! That's really nice. Now I bought this as a set of two and I didn't really like the lighter shade that nail polish is called "A clay in the life " It is a lighter pink shade but because the pigment is as strong it's streaky. I recently got the opportunity to try two of OPI's new Nature Strong nail polish. This polish claims it's vegan, made with 75% natural GMO-free ingredients and 20% recycled plastic. I did not realize nail polish wasn't naturally vegan, but read that some of the pigments and thickening agents can come from animal sources! Naturally I was hesitant about a "natural" nail polish, but as per usual OPI continues to impress. I used Knowledge is Flower on most of my nails, a beautiful pink/light mauve polish. This color is classic, would look good with most skin tones and went on flawlessly and smooth! I could've gotten away with one coat, but I added a second to cover up some spots I missed. I did an accent nail of A Clay in the Life, which is an ivory nude color. This one seemed a little thinner, as some nudes do, and took two coats for mostly full coverage, but could've used a third. I'm naturally fair skinned with neutral undertones and thought A Clay in the Life worked well on me, but was a little disappointed by the coverage in 2 coats. The formula on both is smooth, consistent and dried as quickly as normal OPI polish. I would happily purchase more colors of this environmentally conscious nail polish and recommend it to friends! OPI claims this polish is long lasting with up to 7 days of wear. I wore both colors with Duri Rejuvacote as a base coat and Seche Vite on top (which kind of defeats the purpose of natural nail polish!) and I started to get a few small chips on my pointer fingers by day 3. This is pretty typical for me with regular nail polish, so not off putting. I love OPI polish and will definitely try more colors from this Nature Strong line.Whitney1

When I first ordered, I wished it came with more gel polish and none of the nail lacquer, but I'm quite surprised at the quality of KS nail lacquer. I usually don't wear nail lacquer; I hate that they don't apply nicely, takes ages to dry, and takes so many coats to achieve the colors. But not Kiara Sky ones!
