I have been wearing wigs since breast cancer caused my already thinning hair to fall out. Due to POS and a hormone blocker I will take for a few more years, my hair had no chance at coming back to anything resembling a full head. I've played around with a few styles, staying mostly with bobs, which was close to my hairstyle before chemo and I was comfortable with. I decided to take the plunge and go for a shorter, easier style and came upon Advanced French. Ordered in a lighter color (RL 14/22, Pale Golden Wheat) as my own hair is mostly white and a golden blonde. I am new to wig-wearing. My bio hair is about 75% gray, and I do have a full head of hair that I keep cut in a very short style. I decided to start wearing wigs because I wanted more variety in hair styles as well as colors. Winner was a good choice for me lengthwise to start my wig-wearing-journey. However, I wish I had been much bolder in my initial color and length range. Since then I've warmed up to taking more risks. Winner (average) is a bit large for my head. This is the beginning of my journey so my issues may be just that I am starting this journey kicking and screaming. I know all the YouTube reviewers say this is wonderful and fun but it isn't what I want to do – I wish my bio hair looked like this wig. It is lovely – soft and flattering for probably anyone. However, I may still return, I have tried in on for a bit several days in a row, still not sure. These may be things I just have to live with now that I have to do this to have normal 'hair'. 1.) Lace front – if I do keep this one, I will NEVER buy a lace front again. Unfortunately, it is very hard to find a nice, well made hairpiece without it because everyone else seems to love lace front – NOT ME. I don't like that you cannot pull your bio hair out from under (I know that it is great if you have no hair, but I have plenty around my face and would like to incorporate – Sincerely Yours by RW was perfect but too short). And though it DOES look very nice (I really didn't think it would look so realistic, it truly looks like a real hairline up close), it is HORRIBLY itchy. Like stiff, itchy netting and I can't wait to take it off. Maybe if I try gluing it won't itch so much? 2. I TOO much hair, as with most all of the hair pieces. While I can make this one work because it thankfully isn't LOADED up with that fake feeling/looking permatease (I know some people love it, I do NOT on me), it is still GOBS of hair. I push my hair behind my ears and I would have to have massive ears to fit the gobs falling in front of my face behind my ear; it is like trying to tuck a large rope behind my ear. Not sure why manufacturers think someone who has had hair loss or very thin hair all of the sudden will feel comfortable with a wooly mammoth strapped tightly to their raw noggin. Again, this one could be okay because I could take thinning shears to it and make it work if I keep this wig. 3. Speaking of the front bit… as other reviewers remarked, OMG does it want to go in your face. I don't want to use any product or heat on it yet because I am not sure I am keeping it so VERY difficult to tell if it will work because that is absolutely a problem. Would probably have to thin and cut that into layers – it is very pretty but no one goes around with a big chunk of hair hanging down like that all day. All of the hair on the cap is geared to go absolutely FORWARD, not sure why. It is something that would have to be worked out with heat, water and product. 4. Cap construction – Not super comfortable. Again, this is all new to me so maybe I am doing something wrong. I am using a wig grip so not sure if that adds to my discomfort. I will say that the seams around the mono part are thick and itchy. I would rather a whole mono top or a basic cap, rather than that seamed bit. Too much going on in the cap. So – if you are a regular wig wearer, this style will probably work for you; I am just not use to all these itches and things going on my head. Sort of like a pretty but uncomfortable underwire bra – you can deal but can't wait to get it off at the end of the day – that is how it feels for me. If this had the cap of the Sincerely Yours, I would have found my piece. Again, not sure if I am returning or not, but it is so expensive for me, for them not to be spot on. I need something that looks like ME and I can wear every day and it looks like normal, non-poufy, non-shiny hair and isn't going to rub my ear or itch my head, etc. I am probably hoping for too much. 🙁LJT
Cap is so comfortable. I had to cut on the bangs a little because they went directly into my eyes. However! The color more than made up for it. The eggplant shade is absolutely beautiful and perfect for the fall season! If your bio hair is or was brown and you are looking for brown yet with a twist of pow…. Choose this color! I love the True2Life HD fibers by Raquel Welch, they look and feel like human hair. But these are just extremely shiny and it has a lot of hair! The color Glazed Sand is really nice and the lace front on this style is impeccable, and as this was my first unrooted color, it’s even better and more undetectable than the rooted colors. But everyone tells me that this style looks like an old woman and I‘m just too young to look that old… 😅 Of course Wigstudio1 is not to blame, their service was first class, as always!Sarah C.

This wig is so wonderful! I literally was able to cut the extra lace off and put it on! It laid flat. The hair part looks so natural, no need for makeup unless you’d prefer a darker look. The lay of the hair is “butta” so smooth. The color is amazing, it matches so well with my skin tone. The wig has three clips; one on both sides and one in the back. The only drawback for me is it does not have a band to add more stay security. My head is a bit small, so I need that extra support. This wig turned so many heads. I was even told “I’m used to being Becky with the good hair, now I can’t because of your new look!” I took it as a compliment. Such a good wig, I’m buying it again!Sharron M.
I originally ordered this because of a fantastic YouTube review . It didn’t live up to my expectations. Pros the hair is soft , nice and I’ve received so many compliments. It’s so long too !! I’m 5’8” and it went past my waist. It looks natural and can get it wet for the wet look with eco style gel ,but that style doesn’t last long. Cons it tangles SO MUCH not to the point where I can’t wear it but I know it’s going to be a daily issue if I wear it everyday. I wish the lace was longer because it barely reached my ears despite it being “ big head friendly.”Jay

First if all Raquel Welch’s we gs have the best cuts! This wig, Salsa comes with a large cap for which I am greatful. I was looking for something class with a bit of sophistication. When I comb through this wig with a touch of mousse to straighten the curl just a bit that is exactly what I have. I wash the wig in the sink with regular shampoo and conditioner.
