I've just received my 4th Top Billing topper and wanted to review again. The first two I bought in 2020 and was thrilled. Perfect fit right out of the box, color was exceptional, thick, but not too thick and not too shiny. However when I bought a new Top Billing in Feb of 2021, I could tell the difference right away and sadly the same is true of the one I just got. Two different colors, same problem. The material is thinner, shinier and unwearable without a lot of fussing. It's not as long or as full and because its thinner it flips up on the ends and doesn't look natural. It doesn't hang properly. I have thin hair all over so if I want to wear my hair "down" I need enough thickness on the topper to cover my bio hair. No problem wearing the 2020 Top Billings down, but the new ones I have to clip or pin or wear up because they're too thin. Also the new material is noticeably shinier and I've spent a lot of time washing and dry shampooing to try and get it to look more natural. I'm really disappointed as I've tried a lot of toppers and thought I'd finally found "the one"!Laura
I love the lace front & lightweight quality coverage. On the flip side, the lace front is tricky. I use Milano new topper band. The large size fits perfectly with this piece. I found them on Amazon in large & small. I comb dry hair straight back, use Kenya dry shampoo, which is a little tacky & the band does not slide back, maintaining a nice lace front. I may have bangs trimmed, not sure, yet. But I love this piece. Cap works well for a pony tail ! (Yay) Beautiful part, more like silk look.Michele
I ordered the Raquel Welch Top Billing in color RL10/12 Sunlit Chestnut. The topper was pretty but the color was just too dark (maybe too ashy) for me. I previously ordered the RL12/16 Honey Toast — it was a little too light. I am at a loss on how to order the right Raquel Welch color — the professional recommendation was to order the RL10/12 that I just returned. I love the RW heat defiant fiber, density and texture — it looks like REAL hair. My current "go to" toppers are Jon Renau Top Smart in 12/30BT Rootbeer Float and Jon Renau Top Coverage in 12 Light Golden Brown but I just don't love the shiny synthetic (non HD) fiber. (I've tried several techniques to "de-shine" but I'm still not happy.) I think RW Top Billing could be a winner if I can ever find the right color.Donna V.

This is the beginning of my journey so my issues may be just that I am starting this journey kicking and screaming. I know all the YouTube reviewers say this is wonderful and fun but it isn't what I want to do – I wish my bio hair looked like this wig. It is lovely – soft and flattering for probably anyone. However, I may still return, I have tried in on for a bit several days in a row, still not sure. These may be things I just have to live with now that I have to do this to have normal 'hair'. 1.) Lace front – if I do keep this one, I will NEVER buy a lace front again. Unfortunately, it is very hard to find a nice, well made hairpiece without it because everyone else seems to love lace front – NOT ME. I don't like that you cannot pull your bio hair out from under (I know that it is great if you have no hair, but I have plenty around my face and would like to incorporate – Sincerely Yours by RW was perfect but too short). And though it DOES look very nice (I really didn't think it would look so realistic, it truly looks like a real hairline up close), it is HORRIBLY itchy. Like stiff, itchy netting and I can't wait to take it off. Maybe if I try gluing it won't itch so much? 2. I TOO much hair, as with most all of the hair pieces. While I can make this one work because it thankfully isn't LOADED up with that fake feeling/looking permatease (I know some people love it, I do NOT on me), it is still GOBS of hair. I push my hair behind my ears and I would have to have massive ears to fit the gobs falling in front of my face behind my ear; it is like trying to tuck a large rope behind my ear. Not sure why manufacturers think someone who has had hair loss or very thin hair all of the sudden will feel comfortable with a wooly mammoth strapped tightly to their raw noggin. Again, this one could be okay because I could take thinning shears to it and make it work if I keep this wig. 3. Speaking of the front bit… as other reviewers remarked, OMG does it want to go in your face. I don't want to use any product or heat on it yet because I am not sure I am keeping it so VERY difficult to tell if it will work because that is absolutely a problem. Would probably have to thin and cut that into layers – it is very pretty but no one goes around with a big chunk of hair hanging down like that all day. All of the hair on the cap is geared to go absolutely FORWARD, not sure why. It is something that would have to be worked out with heat, water and product. 4. Cap construction – Not super comfortable. Again, this is all new to me so maybe I am doing something wrong. I am using a wig grip so not sure if that adds to my discomfort. I will say that the seams around the mono part are thick and itchy. I would rather a whole mono top or a basic cap, rather than that seamed bit. Too much going on in the cap. So – if you are a regular wig wearer, this style will probably work for you; I am just not use to all these itches and things going on my head. Sort of like a pretty but uncomfortable underwire bra – you can deal but can't wait to get it off at the end of the day – that is how it feels for me. If this had the cap of the Sincerely Yours, I would have found my piece. Again, not sure if I am returning or not, but it is so expensive for me, for them not to be spot on. I need something that looks like ME and I can wear every day and it looks like normal, non-poufy, non-shiny hair and isn't going to rub my ear or itch my head, etc. I am probably hoping for too much. 🙁LJT
Cap is so comfortable. I had to cut on the bangs a little because they went directly into my eyes. However! The color more than made up for it. I‘m a huge Raquel Welch wigs fan, it’s my favorite brand. And I had my eyes on this style for a while and think the stock photo looks fabulous. But it’s my first and last style in regular synthetic. I love the True2Life HD fibers by Raquel Welch, they look and feel like human hair. But these are just extremely shiny and it has a lot of hair! The color Glazed Sand is really nice and the lace front on this style is impeccable, and as this was my first unrooted color, it’s even better and more undetectable than the rooted colors. I've just received my 4th Top Billing topper and wanted to review again. The first two I bought in 2020 and was thrilled. Perfect fit right out of the box, color was exceptional, thick, but not too thick and not too shiny. However when I bought a new Top Billing in Feb of 2021, I could tell the difference right away and sadly the same is true of the one I just got. Two different colors, same problem. The material is thinner, shinier and unwearable without a lot of fussing. It's not as long or as full and because its thinner it flips up on the ends and doesn't look natural. It doesn't hang properly. I have thin hair all over so if I want to wear my hair "down" I need enough thickness on the topper to cover my bio hair. No problem wearing the 2020 Top Billings down, but the new ones I have to clip or pin or wear up because they're too thin. Also the new material is noticeably shinier and I've spent a lot of time washing and dry shampooing to try and get it to look more natural. I'm really disappointed as I've tried a lot of toppers and thought I'd finally found "the one"!Laura
I love the lace front & lightweight quality coverage. On the flip side, the lace front is tricky. I use Milano new topper band. The large size fits perfectly with this piece. I found them on Amazon in large & small. I comb dry hair straight back, use Kenya dry shampoo, which is a little tacky & the band does not slide back, maintaining a nice lace front. I may have bangs trimmed, not sure, yet. But I love this piece. Cap works well for a pony tail ! (Yay) Beautiful part, more like silk look.Michele
I ordered the Raquel Welch Top Billing in color RL10/12 Sunlit Chestnut. The topper was pretty but the color was just too dark (maybe too ashy) for me. I previously ordered the RL12/16 Honey Toast — it was a little too light. I am at a loss on how to order the right Raquel Welch color — the professional recommendation was to order the RL10/12 that I just returned. I love the RW heat defiant fiber, density and texture — it looks like REAL hair. My current "go to" toppers are Jon Renau Top Smart in 12/30BT Rootbeer Float and Jon Renau Top Coverage in 12 Light Golden Brown but I just don't love the shiny synthetic (non HD) fiber. (I've tried several techniques to "de-shine" but I'm still not happy.) I think RW Top Billing could be a winner if I can ever find the right color.Donna V.

I like this Raquel Welch topper. I think it's shown on-line on women adding fullness to their long curly hair. I put my hair in the world's tiniest bun and plopped On the Go in Smoke on head. So the photos show just the topper by itself. The topper was lightweight and comfortable with multiple clips (more than usual for wigs) to attach it securely to wherever hair can accommodate a clip. It fell around my face with deep bangs and mid-length side and back curls. I like the look of the deep bangs, when my hair was thicker it could do that on its own. The amount of hair is just right, not too thick or full, which makes it look like my natural hair. I can wear the topper all by itself, it doesn't need any of my hair to pump it up. The back is curly like the sides. I think this topper is well worth the money.Julie H.
Nice, quality hairpiece. I had to return it though because it was too short for me. I normally wear 12 inch toppers, so I thought this would be ok. But too much of my thin bio hair was showing and the topper was too thick. The transition was far too drastic. I gave it 4 stars becuase it is a nice topper, just not for me.Kim

This is my fourth purchase of this Sonata hair piece. I bought this one because it was a great price but they only had two colors in it so I got the glazed cinnamon which I knew was lighter than my dark brown hair. But it ended up being a lot lighter than the picture. It’s almost a strawberry blond. However once I put it on my real hair blended pretty good with it. It just looks like dark roots. I am going to lighten my real hair a little so it will blend even better. I just love this hair piece. It goes on perfect right out of the box and looks very natural. No one knows I am wearing a hair piece. Another great Vogue purchase.Linda
At first try-on of the topper, it was disappointment and frustation, but because my almost-overnight appearance of a several inches in diameter circle of complete alopecia, and my really not wanting to go back to wearing a complete wig because of never finding any to fit my head without popping off and looking very wiggy, I read tips and reviews on adjusting toppers, put it aside for a day, and then slowly started trimming it, figuring I had no other choice. The color fortunately is close enough to my own hair, so that was a plus. It took me several days of working on it and putting it aside until I got to where it works for me. Between thinning it a little at a time with my husband's beard trimmer and pulling some of my own hair through the cap with a crochet hook, and also wearing a headband, I must say it is more comfortable and harder to tell that it's a wig. Hope this helps anyone who may feel frustrated and hopeless with needing to wear a hairpiece.
