If you want a wig that you can wear frequently and looks natural, I would suggest you invest in a better, designers wig such as Jon Renau or Ellen Wille. The cost is several times greater, but still, for $200, you can purchase a gorgeous wig that you will enjoy. I tried to save money and bought a bargain wig, and then I had to pay for shipping to return it. Part was really weird and didn’t fit on my head at all. I guess there was a reason this wig was so cheap!
I buy a lot of cheap wigs and this is the worst one at this price point. The cap doesn’t lay flat on my head but comes to a point, it’s very itchy, you can’t use heat so the bangs can’t be straightened (mine came with a curl to them), and when I went to trim the bangs I realized the entire haircut was uneven (I’m a hairstylist). I evened the cut but one side has less hair to it and the hair at the nape won’t lay down, just sticks out awkwardly, so there’s only so much I could do. It was also very shiny. If you want a project, something to put a lot of work into (without being able to use heat) than go for it, but I would not recommend this wig.Melissa

I loved the look of this wig but was hesitant to buy because of all of the bad reviews. There really are no wigs that look great right out of the box. All wigs need some sort of help. Here’s what I recommend when getting a new wig: take it out of the box and give it a good shake. Put it on and adjust the fit, ear tabs, and general placement. Finger comb it into place and then walk away. Stay away from any mirrors for at least 30 minutes or longer and don’t mess with it. This is important because when you do look in the mirror again you have “fresh eyes”. It will be easier to be more objective and not just reactive. At this point you can focus on what you do and don’t like and determine if the don’t likes are ‘fixable’. Change the part if needed, if there is too much poof, wet it down and finger comb. Don’t do any permanent modifications until you decide if you want to keep it. But give yourself time to evaluate the wig properly. For this wig, I wet the top, used my fingers to make a deep side part sweeping the bangs across my forehead and flattened down some of the poofiness on the top then left it alone to dry. I am 68 and have been wearing wigs pixie wigs for many years, but want a new wig with a little more fullness. I absolutely love this new wig and would recommend it to anyone. Unlike many of the other wigs that do not even resemble the pictures of the wig they purchased, this one looks exactly like the pictures on QVC. I only have one small complaint. The Med Red/Ginger is NOT red. It is more like a light brown with a little bit of red in it. There are a lot of us natural redheads that would love a short brighter red wig, such as Rachel Welch wig color "Glazed Fire". I would like to suggest that Hairdo and QVC start offering more wigs that are a brighter red for their redheaded customers.
