I have natural/4a hair. I used this product after taking down a 6 week protective. I started off by shampooing with the TGIN Rosewater hydrating shampoo ( Which I LOVE). After that, I applied this protein treatment for about 10-15 mins. I immediately followed up with the TGIN Moisture Deep Conditioning Mask.. it left my hair feeling amazingly healthy.My hair went from feeling limp and brown to shedding and breakage, to strong and resilient to shedding & breakage. I'm not sure if I would have gotten these same great results if I didn't follow up with the deep conditioner as suggested on the bottle. Will definitely buy again! 🙂Taylor D

For anyone who doesn't know- protein treatments HAVE TO BE USED WITH A HYDRATING/ MOISTURIZING conditioner as the second step. I am wearing my hair curly and it's hard to tell if my hair is stronger. It did leave my hair feeling dry and I left it in without heat for thirty minutes under a shower cap wrapped in a bath towel. I have been experiencing a lot of split ends, breakage along the shaft and just overall not happy with my hair journey so I am praying for good results. At this price point I recommend trying this product just make sure you follow the directions do you don't end up with more damage.Product Junky

Use this in my 1 yr old’s fine, curly hair as a daily moisturizer along with aloe vera juice and essential oils. I also use it to style her hair, either method keeps her curls soft, moisturized and detangled, while helping to hold her style in place. My texture is thick and curly and my hair has the same results. I do not use it to hold my styles as my texture is too thick and requires more hold. The moisturizer itself it creamy, smells good and a little amount goes a long way. Not greasy or heavy, allowing for every day use.Angie D.

This is a product that can be found with all of my other hair products. I use it almost daily, especially when I want a great hair day. I use the serum first and then spray over it. I tried oils and 100 other things to stop the snarls in my extensions, this is the only product that has worked. Not only does it keep your extensions soft and conditioned, but it also does the same thing for your natural hair. It also protects your hair against flat irons, blow dryers & curling irons. The consistency is somewhat thick but very creamy. Application was easy because the co wash has decent slip. Has a perfume scent but nothing overpowering. I was able to detangle my hair quickly. My hair did not feel dry after rinsing. I will get 3 uses out this bottle along with the matching mask. Great comboSSMITH202202

I wanted to love this product but I think it was too thick and heavy for my hair. I felt that it left my hair greasy feeling and not very clean. It didnt lather well (which makes sense as a thick cream consistency) but it was hard to really know if it was getting evenly distributed. I think i'll stick to this line's shampoo and conditioning cream!Cass

I have loved just about everything I've used from Paul Mitchell. The product seems to do what it is designed to do, only tried it once. However, I would like to know how this product passed quality control due to the smell?!! It literally smells like the bottom of a litter box with 4 Male cats. I had to spray body spray in my hair because I was afraid other people would think I had on dirty clothes. I haven't decided if I will return it since my hair seems to like it (fine loose curls). I doubt I will purchase again unless they change the smell.Val

It's super easy to apply and I was looking for something that not only added moisture to my hair but would help bring my dry damaged curls back to life and this product has been very good so far! It's soften my hair and I can see the hydration by how well my hair stayed together it didn't feel coarse, and controlled my frizz. My wavy curls have definitely improved in bounce. I've only been using it for about a week now but I noticed how well the product was on the first try! Definitely recommend it and will continue to repurchase!Kay

Since then, I've had no reason to switch brands. It seems like a small bottle (8oz), but you only use a small amount in a sink full of water so a bottle lasts a long time. (I probably average 6 months per bottle, but your mileage will vary with the length of your wig, and how often you shampoo it). My wig is synthetic BTW. I don't know how this product works with real human hair wigs.donw_s11

AG's Re:coil Activator does exactly what it says it will do! It activates my curls and keeps them constantly moisturized! Most of the time my hair does not know what it wants to do. One day it is really frizzy and wavy, then the next day it is almost completely flat, with no waves at all. Sadly, I can't "rock" that look; however, with AG's Re:coil Activator, my frizz disappears, I have amazing volume, and my natural waves are left soft and smelling good! Plus, it helps with curl retention, so when I am ready to go out, I curl my hair with a curling iron and I do not have to worry about my curls falling throughout the night! I do not have any cons/complaints about AG's Re:coil Activator and I recommend it to those who want amazing hair!Andrea

For years I used the same gel for my naturally curly hair before diffusing. I normally avoid curl creams because they don't seem to work as well for making defined curls. This cream seems different. To use, I apply to freshly shampooed hair which has been combed out and is still "drippy" with water. I use about a dime size amount on shoulder length hair. The product is thick so I rub it in my hands to emulsify before applying. Then scrunch and diffuse. It is a bit more expensive than my old gel. But i use half as much. So I guess it works out!Ima Cook

What I like most about this product is that the scent isn't overwhelming (starts out smelling vanilla/marshmallow but it fades over time) and it doesn't weigh my hair down. A little goes a long way, making it more economical than Redken Curlwise (my second favorite). The store clerk told me to rub it between my hands to really emulsify it before scrunching my hair. When the amount in your hands is low, rub your hands together again and it's like it magically reappears. A little really does go a long way! My hair is thick, wavy and frizzy at times, so I like that I don't have to use a lot. With Redken, I have to use a LOT to get my desired style, so I'm glad I found this product.Tucson Mom

*I received these products for free from Influenster and Carol's Daughter in exchange for my honest review, and WOW this product is GREAT! It smells SO GOOD, and is very easy to spread throughout the hair. It has protein in it which allows your hair to build up strength. This is amazing considering I have lifeless bleached natural hair that soaks up a lot of water and products but still ends up dry and breaking. Another thing I LOVE about this product is that it is free of coconut derivatives which is AMAZING because I have a coconut allergy and finding anything without coconut is almost nonexistent. This mask is really good, and I definitely recommend it. I’m not sure how often I will use it because it is a protein treatment and you have to be careful with those so that you don’t have protein overload and have the opposite affect of what you want. But, I will use this when I need a protein treatment to help my hair feel healthier and build strength against things like sun damage, heat damage, and overall just lack of care. Overall, even though I received this for my review, I plan on purchasing this product forever as well as the rest of the Goddess Strength line. I listed the ingredients below for reference as to why I don’t like this product and refused to put this in my hair. All of the beneficial ingredients are soo far down on the ingredient list. I love hair mask for my curly hair type (3c – 4a). I used many hair mask before where I fell I love with how soft and hydrated my hair felt and it can down to the ingredients and formulation of the products. This hair mask contains preservatives, silicone, alcohol and fragrance which are are drying and not very beneficial to hair at all. For curly hair types it’s highly important to keep it hydrated and this will not do that. I’ve also read up on review how there was residue left over and flaking from this product. I will refused to used this solely based off the ingredients and not wanting to risk drying out my hair. I absolutely love Kristin Ess products!! i naturally have thick hair with loose curls, last summer i bleached and dyed my hair multiple times and it RUINED my hair texture. it was so dry and frizzy and my curls were totally gone. Even before that, i’ve always had a hard time finding products that work well for my hair. I started using Kristin Ess products last Fall and now, my hair is soft and shiny, and i have the most beautiful curls that i’ve ever had. My hair is healthier now than when it was virgin hair! Anyway, about two days ago I dyed my hair for the first time since last summer and i was really worried about it messing up the texture again, so i picked up this mask. After i dyed my hair, it was a little dry and frizzy and the curls weren’t quite as pretty as they were before, so i put this mask on my hair ONE TIME, and my hair is back to normal, if not better than before dyeing it. The curls are formed so beautifully, and it’s sooo shiny and smooth, no frizz!! ( Also, the scent of the Kristin Ess curl products is amazing. it’s a subtle earthy smell, kind of woodsy, which i love because it’s not super fragranced or artificial smelling, and also because of the woodsy smell, it doesn’t smell girly so it would be great for anyone, not just girls!! my boyfriend uses my Kristin Ess curl products!) I love to use this every now and then. The hair mask off this line together with the wash is too strong for me so I stocked to this one. As a natural this is great for giving life back to lifeless curls. It smells nice too. I would purchase this again. Unfortunately my old iPhone died and some of the pics never got to iCloud.lydia.l

This trio is AMAZING on my curls. I started using it after I discovered the two step protein treatment and I’ve fallen in love. My curls don’t feel heavy, they keep their shape, and they’re hydrated. The moisture rich leave in also works great as a refresher.rachel.w

Having curly hair was always a love hate relationship for me. After using this product I fell in love with my hair all over again. I use this along with the texture treatment when it needs that extra love and care. I don't use any other hair shampoo after discovering this texture wash. It is easy to use and lasts a long time. First off I love Kerastase hair products. However I have wasted money accidentally purchasing shampoos by them containing sulfates so this shampoo made me happy and as an added bonus, this is formulated for curly hair! I have no idea what type of hair I have but it’s basically wavy and frizzy not coiled curly but curly wavy if that makes any sense? I have not used this shampoo without using the conditioner that goes along with it so I can’t speak to how this works without it but I feel like a hair care works best when they are paired with their are complementing product and for my hair the shampoo along side the conditioner works really well. My hair is soft it smells great and unlike some sulfate free shampoos the stuff lathers is up really well in the shower! so for me this is a five-star product and I have nothing bad to say about it. I don’t use curl enhancing products to actually enhance my curls I use them to hydrate because I tend to blow dry my hair straight so again can’t speak to how well it’s curling my hair but I can tell you that my hair definitely feels more hydrated and the more hydrated your hair is the more your curls will bounce and shine and look pretty. I received a free sample of this to try and review. My hair has a curl when air-dried, so I was hoping this would be a better alternative to using gel and a diffuser for volume. I tried this three different ways. I used this as an add-on to my dry hair that was curly first. It made my hair seem oily, so I definitely wouldn't use it that way, even though the curls stayed. The second way I used it was adding it to damp hair and letting my hair air dry. This actually loosened my curls and left them less defined, which I didn't like. They did stay the same all day, and the smell was nice. No oily feeling and probably the best way of using it. The last way was using my diffuser after applying this to damp hair. I lost almost all of the curl with this product in when I used the diffuser. I'd say if you add this to damp hair and let it airdry, it will give you the best results. I prefer the way my hair looks with a mousse more than this for sure. It may work better only very curly hair.nd1129

I want to love this product, it really is amazing, but it weighs my hair down on day 3 and over. I typically wash my hair once a week, but when I use this I have to wash at least three times a week, which I hate because I lose more hair! My hair is fine so I’m sure that doesn’t help, maybe if I had thicker hair this wouldn’t pose an issue. It smells amazing and can compliment any perfume you may wear. It definitely defines curls and/or waves and holds them in all day! It doesn’t too much stop the frizz though; I found my hair just as frizzy as before. Overall, if you have fine or thin hair with deep waves or curls and wash daily or every other day, this product is for you!! However, if you don’t wash often, probably not the best choice as you will need to use it daily for curl refreshing and it doesn’t layer up well for daily use on the same (unwashed) hair. I did only have to use two pumps for my mid-back length hair, so a little does go a very long way!CCharityC

The Aussie Miracle Moist Paraben Free Shampoo and Conditioner (30.4 fl. oz. each) made my hair so soft and easy to brush! I used those products 4 times during last 2 weeks and the results were very satisfying. I could brush my hair without any other product like detangler products. I also noticed less dandruff. The Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo and Conditioner offers a super generous amount of product! I think this will last quite a while, however, as a curly-haired girl, I always run out of conditioner first. What’s really nice as it’s 30.4oz of conditioner, I don’t need to worry. The wide pump is also a nice feature—I can’t stand the skinny pumps which actually can be a pain to get a good amount of product without fighting for it. If you follow the curly girl hair method, know that these contain sulfates. I do appreciate that these are both paraben-free products. I’ve done a lot of work to get my natural hair healthy and in good shape. My hair is rather dry no matter what I do, and I found that the avocado and jojoba oil in the shampoo and conditioner really helps to hydrate my hair. I was a bit concerned because I typically avoid such heavy oils in haircare as it can weigh down my hair or cause build up and greasy scalp. I haven’t experienced any of those issues! After using, times my hair looks, feels, and smells really good, and moisturized. The fragrance is fruity yet slightly floral — in my opinion. Sometimes shampoo and conditioner have slightly different scents but I’m pretty sure both are the same scent. I prefer my hair products products to be scented, however I think if someone is sensitive you may find this a bit overpowering even though it doesn’t last too long. The results after I use the shampoo and conditioner as a system for me are shiny, hydrated curls. Hydration means a reduction in frizz and I definitely have been able to avoid more frizz for a day or two. Also, since the conditioner also has the heavier, fattier oils, I do get a great slip and can easily detangle and comb through my hair as I usually do after shampooing.
