After a hysterectomy & menopause that followed resulting in 1/4 of my hair gradually thinning and trying every supplement including PRP treatments I realized preserving the hair I had was the focus, since after 5yrs and thousands of dollars later, the hair that had thinned was not going to grow back. I work in the medical field, at an Oncology / Bone Marrow Transplant Center so the topic of wigs is something I'm very familiar with. Many of the patients I work with rave about Jon Ranau wigs so I figured I'd give that brand a try. I've purchased a couple so far to ensure I have a new backup always on hand and plan to venture into other styles & colors but so far I'm extremely pleased with the quality of the cap/top & synthetic hair, style & color and it's so easy to maintain!

The wig was already thinning in the front when I got it and I can't hide this with bio hair because the lace is too long (can't cut the lace because it is the only thing gripping the front, there are no clips). I don't recommend this piece for people with small/low foreheads, maybe if you are completely bald with no bio hair it might work for you but not if you have pale skin because the knots are very dark and the lace is tan. I tried to straighten the hair on low heat and it made a melting smell, I question if all the hair is real. The cap is also extremely itchy and the lace is not soft (because the lace grips) so it is uncomfortable when it sits on my forehead. I would need to sew in clips and then seal off the lace so it doesn't unravel when trimmed, but for $2000 I would expect this to be of better quality. I own many wigs and hair toppers, I am always disappointed in Jon Renau but I took a risk because I liked the color. The Jon Renau brand is not carried much anymore because their pieces are just not worth the price. I am just going to have to stick with Uniwigs because at least I know what to expect and they are keeping up with the trends for comfort and affordability.LS

The hair piece is nicely made and the color was spot-on. I really, really wanted to like this wig. My overall problem was the style… and was in a few of the reviews I had read prior. The front part was over bearing and so much so that it wouldn't stay out of my face…. almost like there was too much hair. While I didn't try to style the piece or trim to see if that would make a difference (didn't want to do anything in case I returned, which I did), so it's possible I could have made it work. But I just couldn't get past the front portion of the wig and all the volume; I couldn't figure out what to do with it! I am not new to hair pieces, wigs and extension pony-tails so I am aware that some effort is-or-might be necessary, etc., but it simply just looked fake on me. I only deducted 1 Star because it might have been fixable but $300.++ I didn't want to take that chance so I returned. But overall, the wig is pretty and the cap is comfy. Good luck!Susie

My second order, for this particular wig. color-2-18-613HL (Dark Brown and Dark Ash Blonde with French Vanilla Blonde Highlights). I really like this one! Everything about it' I wear it up with a headband or just loose hanging down my back. Either way it is gorgeous and does get attention. I own two now and will probably buy more of the same two. The first one was in shade color- 8/22 (Light chestnut brown with champagne blonde), a great Spring/Summer wear and this newest one will be for Autumn/Winter. Same cut and style just different colors. I am set..I just shake and put on. I have used a makeup compact' to cover some shine and dab along hair line' for a more natural appearance. I had a few shed strands at first nothing unusual' for any wig. Other wise she feels great and looks beautiful!!

This is my first purchase with this company, shipping was super fast. Packaging was nice. The wig was pretty although a bit on the thin side. I am a natural dark brunette and wanted to try blonde I ordered the 24B-613, way too light in color for me. I think my biggest frustration is the bangs, they only want to fall straight, I have tried to move them over to the side, but they just fall straight into my eyes. I could have them cut, but I don't like the straight down bang look, my natural bangs sway to the side now, any suggestions from anybody out there? I will take the wig to my cousin who is a hairdresser and see if she can help me with the bangs. I did manage to get the bangs to stay still for a few photos. I think I need to buy a few shades darker for a more natural look Pros Not too shiny as others have described, I don't think the hair needs any powder at all. The hair is soft, it feels nice to the touch, the cut is sexy, if I could only figure out how to make the bangs cooperate. Cons The thinness of the hair and the bangs are in issue, I have a short forehead, I have to bring the inside band down enough to cover my own hair line, so it makes it more of a challenge to not make it look like I am wearing a wig….

I was influenced by the preview video to buy this particular wig. I'm always nervous trying a new brand, but the videos help me decide to buy. Fashion Note is so long, layered and gorgeous! As usual, it was a little shinier, just hit it with a touch of powder. It moves naturally and doesn't build up static like some synthetic wigs do. I believe it would look fabulous in any shade! A wonderful wig, very affordable. I didn't even need to have it trimmed! Mine was 27C29, but I want a couple more in other shades! It'd gorgeous.K. R.

Fantastic product, easy to wear and very well made. Inner cap is large so can be used on people with a long head of natural hair without showing. Suitable for adults only due to product measurements.
