This stuff really worked for me in terms of colour and overall coverage. (Also found it didn’t cover greys but I wasn’t expecting that since the company says that it’s not meant for grey coverage so I just pluck them.) I did find it a bit drying on my hair, so I recommend an Olaplex treatment to follow up if you often have an issue with dry hair. Good news is that my hair soaks up most products, bad news is that any dye usually dries it out. I read in these reviews to use less time if you have thinner, more dry hair and I totally echo that tip. Start with 5 mins, rinse, dry, style, see how you like it. Can always add more time on follow up applications, but wait at least 4-6 week to try again. Having said all that, this product almost works TOO good. My concern in this part is for your shower, not your hair. If going with a darker colour I highly recommend applying outside of the shower, like with any other hair dye, and washing out in a stainless steel sink. The first time I used it, I applied in the shower and it stained the white walls and white shower curtain. And also stained the label on the bottle! I thought my partner was going to KILL me (his house) and I had a mini panic attack while praying I could get it to come off the shower walls (white plastic tub surround). Rubbing with my fingers was not cutting it. I was able to scrub it off using a powder cleaner, but if you want to save yourself the anxiety, just apply like a regular dye, and wash out in the sink. I received a free full size sample of the dpHUE Gloss+ Semi-permanent hair color and I am a fan! I am a licensed cosmetologist and I usually stay away from anything that isn't used in a professional salon setting but, after a recent color appointment left my hair over-processed and brittle, as well as too blonde I was excited to give this semipermanent hair color and deep conditioner a try. (We just moved across the country and I don't have the time right now to make it to the supply house for a toner and conditioning treatment) I received the color medium brown. The application process was so easy, I shampooed and conditioned my hair in the shower, stepped to the side and towel dried my hair and combed it out, then applied this semipermanent hair color. I left it on for the remainder of my shower, approximately 7-10 minutes. The pigment is wonderful and rich, and it leaves beautiful warm tones in your hair. If you don't wear gloves to apply, make sure you have soap on standby to clean your hands or it will stain! This product left my hair silky smooth and shiny. I was very pleased with the golden brown color it toned my hair to. I was even more pleased to see that it did not slough off on my flat iron or my white pillow cases. I've already shampooed my hair once and the color stuck around. I can tell it's lighter and that it'll continue to lighten as I shampoo, but that's the point of semipermanent hair color. I think if I was in a pinch and needed to tone my hair between color appointments I would definitely consider buying this product. I loved the ease of not having to mix this product and having both the option to apply in-shower to damp hair or to dry. I used the dark brown which was perfectly suitable for my hair color. For the first application I used the in-shower on damp hair method. This sounded like no brainer… I didn't have to worry about the product getting on anything, I was already going to wash my hair anyway, and I could quickly and easily wash my hands to prevent the pigment from staining my hands… Right? Yes, to all but the latter!!! The company does warn that darker shades can stain the skin but I never imagined that it would stain my hands the second it made contact. I had to scrub my hands with a pumice stone until they were sore and raw in order to get the stains off. You have been warned 🙂 Now fearful of what was the underestimated power of this product, I only left it on my hair for approximately 5 minutes. The results were great, as I did notice my color was a beautiful, deeper, richer version of its self prior to the treatment. Thankfully, my hair is already shiny so I am unable to review that aspect of the products claim. After 2 weeks I thought it only be fair to try this product using the dry method and left it on for the same duration of time for a most accurate comparison… This time, I used gloves 🙂 The results were equally as positive and effective without the stress of staining. Both applications were super easy, as there was no mixing, the product comes in an easy to use bottle with a pump dispenser and the formula is rich and thick making for an effortless application. I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for more dimension and an easy at home semipermanent color either in between visits to the salon or just to give your locks an extra boost of shine and depth. This is the best hair dye I’ve tried. I’ve wanted to try it for a while but was hesitant since the price was so low, I thought it would be unreliable. I used the shade emerald and the color was the exact color as the bottle (I have light blonde hair). It was extremely easy to apply and it lasted (in my mind) the perfect amount of time. In 6ish washes it’s just about gone and I was really scrubbing (it probably could last longer but sadly after I dyed my hair I realized I wanted my natural color back). Even when it was starting to fade the color was still pretty for the first 4 washes. It was muted but still vibrant until about wash #6, then it looked kind of gray kind of as if I stayed in chlorine too long (keep in mind that I got the shade emerald, it would have been like that regardless of the brand). Gifted by Kiss Colors and Care. I went in to coloring my hair with neutral expectations but was quickly very surprised at how well this worked out. This is a semi-permanent product meant to only be applied from 1/8 inch from your scalp down to the ends. Process is super easy and simple; apply on clean towel dried hair, process for 15 minutes and wash out. You can get this product all over you and it washes off as if it were water, leaving behind no color on your skin and only on your hair. I ended up applying most of the bottle as I did not know if applying a small amount would give me the desired effect. Formulated without ammonia, peroxide or sulfates this will be a go to for me. I applied on previously colored hair that had already begun to grow out so this product attached to my previously colored hair and not the roots. Has argan oil, olive oil, keratin, collagen and is made with aloe vera water. It has a light pleasant scent and does not irritate my scalp or skin. These colors are amazing, pretty and bright but didn't really worked for me. I think it's partially my fault though because my ends are a brassy color and that will obviously have a different outcome. I think letting this color fall and using toner to have less of a brass color and putting the dye then maybe the pink color will show up more. Right now, this product did dye my hair but not the color that was in the bottle, it turned orange lol (i used 2 bottles).Also, this dye has an amazing smell and lasts a long while too, my hair smelled really nice after showering. If you have a small project that doesn't need to match another finish, this is a great product. If, on the other hand have a large project like 15 stairs plus banister bases, it is very difficult to match between batches. I was never able to match the original color and ended up wastig an entire bottle. Tips: 1: Poke a small hole inthe tip (do not cut the tip off). 2: Make small batches to test on the exact wood and exact sanding until you get the exact formula (and log each batch with the mix ratio), then mix the large batch using scaled measurements. 3: Keep the logs in case you need to repair or replace an original finished piece. 4: It is very messy and will ruin any clothes and won't come off of your hands easily. 5: If you are mixing it with a finish (urethane), your last 1-2 coats should not contain any dye, otherwise it will come off when wiped or mopped or gets wet.gary
Very easy to use. Easy to mix with water. You can also put a few drops on a damp cloth and wipe on without diluting for a darker stain application. Another way I've used it is to stain the wood one color and after drying, use another color to stain "streaks" for a beautiful effect. After drying spray a light coat of poly from a rattle can, give a very light sanding, then fill grain as needed according to wood type and desired finish. This is an excellent choice for brunettes. My grays were coming in on week three and I wanted some way to control them without going to the salon. This is easy to use. Because it is not the same type of salon color ingredients I was very conservative on how long I left it on my hair and it came out really nice. Since you mix it with water, you can easily touch up some gray areas around your face if needed in between. Just mix a little of the powder from the bottle and save the rest. I really wanted to like this…I feel like the color isn't anything like the box even though it's supposed to be for black hair. It's definitely not as noticeable. Application seemed easy enough, but there are areas that do appear splotchy. I started with the lower half and it is slightly lighter, so I should've started with the top layers…I never bleached my hair before and this definitely scared me when I was rinsing it out–there were tangles that I was afraid would rip apart! Luckily it wasn't the case. I've also never used a box that didn't have deep conditioner. This one has a conditioning shampoo. Seems to have done the trick, but I didn't read the instructions on the tube. I was supposed to use half, rinse out, then finish the tube. I didn't approve or ask for this shade! I got starry black. I'm a natural blonde. In order for me to achieve black hair that doesn't turn green after the 1st wash,I would have to do a filler color first like a medium brown. I don't want to put all those chemicals on my hair. Plus I don't want black hair! I DID NOT USE THIS! I have used feria in the past though, I have used their bleaching kit and their auburn, red and black cherry shades. It is the only box dye I will use. It not only has an essential oil you add to it for a better smell but it also helps the hair feel softer and more hydrated as well as look shiny and healthy, well as healthy as dyed hair can look. For a box dye it's not bad. If I had gotten a color I approved of I totally would have used it! My daughter has medium golden brown hair and has been debating allowing me to use this on her. I'm a natural brunette and while I have dyed my hair a few times over the past couple years I've never went and done a crazy color now if you swipe over you will see I went bright blue and then very quickly decided that that did not fit my skin tone whatsoever and it need to die. The variety I used was l'oreal paris feria shimmering in deep violet. I took this 1st picture about a week after dying my hair with the dye and I had washed my hair about twice using color safe shampoo and color safe conditioning products. It immediately started fading pretty fast right after dying it was a really really dark navy blue with very slight purple undertones and for undertones and then after a few weeks of washing my hair and it's just continuing to lighten dramatically. Currently I'm back to a muddy/blue tinged green. I have used this brand of dye before in different colors when I was dying over brunette hair without any bleach involved and I also do remember that it faded very fast but it wasn't as noticeable because I was dying over dark Brown hair where it's now dyed over light blue and it's very easy to see how fast it has faded down. #complimentary #feriahaircolor

I received this product for free from Influenster. For the product itself it is pretty good. I followed instructions and the color turned out beautiful if a little darker than the box claimed. My natural hair is a very dark brown and it was virgin at the base. My tips were previously bleached, hence the Platinum tips. Over all I'm quite pleased with the color. I was pleasantly surprised that my curl pattern was not greatly damaged either, as I was afraid would happen upon realizing this was bleach. I am allergic to bleach (which hasn't stopped me before) so I was quite itchy for about two days after application but that is to be expected. The reason I took away a star is the brands claim to retain moisture and protect your hair thoroughly. I found that this was no more gentle than any other box bleach I've used. I wouldn't have been disappointed in this but for their claims. My hair was extremely dry for a day afterwards and I had to use a lot of coconut oil to reinstate it's moisture. That said, any other bleach product will do the same, my issue is just that they claim to prevent that. All in all, the color is great, but it is no safer than any other box dye for your hair.
