This wig was a challenge to get on my teenage son's head, and a bigger challenge to keep there. Once on, it looked nothing like the picture on the packaging. Even after some attempts at brushing. It didn't even look like something had crawled on his head and died. Because it didn't look real enough to even have that going for it. The strands of "hair" were sparse enough that you could see the base netting. I finally told him that his costume would look better with his real hair; how readily he agreed was an indication of just how uncomfortable it was. Thank goodness it wasn't that expensive. It's not gonna win any realistic wig fashion awards but for a funky style mullet wig it's great. Gonna de shine it a bit cut and style it and it'll look fine 🙂 The fringe bit at the front does expose the netting quite a lot but it's a cheap wig and the style hides that anyway unless you are walking under a glass ceiling.buffbay1977

Arrived via USPS in very good condition, with normal time frame for USPS. The wig was easy to put on and take off. There were instructions for all of my purchase. I lost my hair within 6 days due to chemotherapy, so the helpful instructions were appreciated. The wig was similar to the online photo, but less curly, and that was a slight disappointment. Hair is shedding as I unpack it from original package. Ends and curls are frizzy and does not look as shown on website. I called I was told it will cost me about $10 to exchange. Why? Merchandise is of poor quality, cut-throat customer service. I am not happy and can't wear this wig. I refuse to exchange for a fee. I have ordered several wigs from Paula Young & have been totally satisfied! The customer service is excellent. The prices are very reasonable! I have to admit, The Sheer Drama wig that I received a couple weeks ago or less, was my first disappointment. The cap is so sheer, that you can see dark hand tied knots a lot through the top. The wig color is Platinum 101. The dark knots actually made me squeamish! They looked like it had lice throughout it!! Being an RN, I had to really look closer & touch the lice-looking knots, & confirmed they were NOT Lice. It was advertised as whisper light- yep it’s so light you see through the cap!Bobbi
This would be a good wig for someone who is not new to wearing wigs. Straight out of the box the wig had a strong plastic like smell. After washing the smell was much less, but still there. Hoping this will fade with time. I have a large head but took a chance and ordered this anyway (average size). It fits very comfortably. The description says ""100% hand tied"". It is not. The top half is hand tied, the bottom half is sewn wefts. The hair is thick enough to be styled in a messy updo. The hand tied knots,on the top, are not bleached. If you order a medium to dark color it shouldn't be a big problem. If you are a light color you will need to camouflage them. This is not a lace front. There is a fabric band across the hairline that will make styling challenging. This would be a very comfortable wig if you had little to no hair. If you are willing to spend time working with your wig this could be a good choice for you.Raven
This is my first wig. I did my research, and chose Sheer Drama. I lov the waves and style My hair is long but falling out. I live in South Florida so my hair does not keep any curl in the humidity . Ok I thought perfect, I’ll have a full head of wavy hair and the color is a perfect match. Sadly I have a small head and cannot keep the wig on no matter what I do. I bought a grip but no help. This costume is…. meh….:-/ It doesn't look like the picture. The slits are actually three tiny tears on the shoulder, no where near the chest as pictured. The bands across the chest aren't constructed as pictured. There is no space between the two bands, so the overall look isn't as good. The "fake leather" pieces are pretty darn cheap. It's actually foam, not fake leather, which gives you an idea of the kind of quality you're dealing with. The stitching is awful – it came to me with a hole in the skirt seam and unraveling thread everywhere. It didn't even wait until I wore it to start falling apart. I had to break out the needle and thread to make sure I won't end up with an embarrassing situation come Halloween. The belt is flimsy and HUGE, so it just looks sloppy. I'm leaving it off. As for the sizing, I wear a 4/6 and have a D cup. I opted for the small, and it fits fine. I didn't have any problems fitting the arm band over my arm like others did. My arms are pretty toned and smaller, but not tiny by any means. The skirt is super short. Definitely some cheekage, so boy shorts are a good idea. I'm salvaging it, but if I had the time and patience, I would have probably returned it because of the poor quality. I adore Tim Burton and loved this idea. Too bad it missed the mark.Sess
I ordered this costume on a monday at 10 am and recieved it by wednesday night with regular shipping. That was excellent! I had a few problems with the costume. I am by far not a skinny mini and I was blessed with a chest, so the straps attached to the chest arent wide enough and have to go under me breast instead of around. The arm band that isnt connected to the dress must of been made for a smaller individual because with effort i can get it on my arm, but barley. The little bronze circles on the belt look terrible because they are missing some pant, but luckily the costume is supposed to look old and torn so it didnt bother me to much. MY BIGGEST PEV is the wig and the gloves. Grant it, the wig is going to be curled by one of my hair dressers, but the wig is not curled or pretty at all. I could deal with that. the gloves are CHEAP quailty. The are not the ones shown in the picture at all. That angers me because i feel like the costume was falsely advertise. This costume is amazing! I bought a small because I'm generally an 8 – 10 and it was completely the right fit! The skirt is fairly short but that's not a problem, I can just get a pair of black shorts to wear underneath it if I feel the need to. The slits on the top were a little inaccurate, they're shown as bigger and wider on the picture whereas on the actual dress they're quite small but again, I can just make them bigger myself if I choose to. The gloves are amazing and I'm really impressed with how the scissors fit on them! They don't get in the way and after testing them out for a while, I discovered that it's still very easy to pick things up or hold things with them on! I'll be wearing this costume to a party on Halloween so it's useful to know that I'll be able to pick my drinks up! This custom is for gents; however, I ordered the medium and it fit me well. I have to agree with the other reviews that the gloves/scissorhands are not that great. Made a trip to Michael's and buy elastic and used my glue stick, I reinforced the scissors, which are made out of foam, towards the top of the finger. They look great! Awesome costume : Wore this out to a club, was absolutly amazing! So many good comments, i dont think one person said anything bad. Infact, i lost count of how many times i got called a legend and so many people wanted pictures with me! As long as you get the face painting right, the whole thing just comes together and its fantastic. The fingers are a little bit flimsly, i think i should have gone for the better scissorhands but all in all, fantastic costume! Only con was the the funny fit, was quite short on the torso area. Figure is cute enough and box came in good condition. However the figure had a flaw where a line of paint was cut thru on the mouths paint. Purchased for an Xmas gift so return out of the question. If purchased as a collector item it would not be acceptable. It doesnt look terrible but flaw should have been noticed before it was packed and shipped.Fern

The costume design is awesome; looks like it came straight from the set of Edward Scissor Hands. I received a lot of compliments and I was asked for a picture by almost everyone at the party. The kit came with everything I needed. BUT I have a couple of complaints: 1) the makeup is all wrong, it came with metallic gray cream makeup and black, white, red & green grease makeup along with two large latex scars – Edward’s face is pale (white cream makeup) with dark circles (dark brown powder makeup or a dark brown eye liner which you then blend) and he has multiple small scars that can be created by applying small lines of liquid latex before applying the makeup. 2) The costume is not breathable; I had to take it off every few minutes because of the heat, a task I asked a friend to help me with. We missed half the party because of it. When I got home, I had to soak up the sweat from the inside of the costume with a towel. So, if you’re going to wear it on a cold day, you’re good to go. DO NOT wear this costume on a hot or humid day.
Quality kookiness : Everyone loved this costume, it went down really well. I would only echo other customers comments, it looks a lot better in the flesh than in the photos and the supplied novelty make up won''t give you a screen match look – you''ll need to use proper make up – we used eyelash glue to create the scars and it worked perfectly.Mike
My husband received this costume lightning fast, one of Walmart's excellent services. When he tried it on, it looked fantastic on him. Just like the character! The only cons we have about this costume is that some of the parts on the hand that were glued on fell off. Thankfully, we have a glue gun and he is (actually at this very moment) reattaching them that way. The only other negative comment was that the scissors on the fingers were very loose. My husband, believe it or not, came up with the idea of putting regular winter gloves underneath the costume gloves. This helped to make them fit more snug. Other than that, the costume is worth the cost. Now, getting through tonights parties is another story!!!Luvmysasha
