Beautiful wig in GL14/22SS. This blonde shade is perfect for my natural brunette skin tone (light to medium neutral leaning toward warm). It's not too warm, nor is it too cool, and it doesn't wash me out. I discovered Gabor recently and love the hairline and softly shaded roots of the shaded shades. The hair is soft and fine. This is a cute, lightweight pixie. She's my first experience with a lace front wig, which I find to be a little scratchy but very realistic-looking. The wig has significant permatease, but I can very easily smooth her down somewhat using just my fingers – I imagine I could get her even flatter with a good styling creme. Alternatively, if you want to spike her up, she'll go pretty high with a good shake and some teasing. I also appreciate that the bangs aren't super-long and I don't need to trim them. Although I've never tried Raquel Welch's "Winner," Serving Style seems similar to the basic (non-Elite) version of that wig, with the addition of a lace front for off-the-face styling versatility. I purchased this wig in the honey pecan. I’m a natural dark brunette plus size 23 inch head and this average fit me just fine. The cap is comfortable, natural, soft, and has a nice stretch. Rooting and highlighting is very natural spot on. To keep it out of my eyes, I just use a little clip which makes it look even cuter to put it back. This is a great wig if you want hair to stay out of your face in the summer when it’s hot or while you are busy doing things. I haven’t tried the sweet talk luxury but this one feels so nice I wouldn’t even be inclined to try unless it’s just for fun. Perfect color if you’re a brunette and you want to start going lighter and have it look natural. Will put a review on YouTube under “it’s a wonderful wig” since I love this so much. I wore everyday for a couple of weeks when I first got it. Then, one day opened the oven door after pre-heating to 425 degrees and fried the front of the wig. I know better than to do this, but it just slipped my mind. I immediately ordered a replacement. It arrived in about 4 days and I have been enjoying ever since. No more cooking for me!! I ordered the wig in the color of my hair and also have the hair stocking about the same color. The hair is thin and the wefting might show thru if you are trying a color that isn't a close match. Otherwise, it is my new favorite!!
Have been wearing this wig for at least 8 yrs…and have tried many other styles, but this I’s my favorite and I keep returning. Have ordered MANY of this particular wig, and will continue. Am concerned though, that the colors are being clearanced….and hope this doesn’t mean that the style is on it’s way out. As your records would show I have purchased many of this exact wig. When I got the first ones I was thrilled with them. They I would definitely have given 5 plus stars. Then I had purchased 2 more when I was concerned the others were wearing out. I thought they were horrible. Later I took another chance after complaining to this site and once again they were definitely not up to the standard of the original wigs. It seems to me the quality control was very poor and that because I didn't like them found myself wearing the old ones though they were showing their age. I needed shampoo and conditioner so thought I'd try one final time. Well these were better than the last four that were terrible but still not anywhere near the same standard as the originals. I can't believe that it's the same company creating them as the hair is so much faker than the originals I would love to purchase the ones I had bought the first while but while these I will have to wear when the old ones are simply worn out but will be searching for another site that possibly has this wig

Folly was one of my first wigs. When I first started, it seemed like so much hair because I was used to having such fine thin hair, and I did thin it a little. I now wish that I had not, because I went a little too far in one spot. After trying out many more wigs, and owning several different styles, I realize now that this is a low density wig. The best part is that even though it is low density, it really covers all of the wefts, and I never have to worry about wefts showing, even during windy conditions. I have done waterparks with this one, and it is perfect even drenched. The only downside I can give this affordable wig is that there is no way to wear the hair without bangs. It is tough to even push them to the side and have it look normal. The way it is sewn into the front only allows for pretty much straight down bangs. Also, note that there are no monofillament features in this wig at all. There is permatease to cover the wefts on the top, but it is not poofy at all. You just need to get creative in how you part it.brahm
I have alopecia and have been wearing wigs for 10 yrs. I was looking for the shorter bob that Folly is. When I received it I was happy with the color and style and even initial appearance but at closer inspection I noticed that the hair barely covers the wefting in the back. If the wind blows anyone can see you right thru to your scalp or hair. Also the crown where the hair comes out of looks very poor and you can see thru that also. It's a shame because the style is very cute. I will now have to keep it just to wear in the house, because of the sparse hair it is cool and light. This was my first wig, and I now own 4 of this style! I have my own hair. It is naturally curly and I can no longer style it because of health reasons. THIS is the style I've always wanted/worked for in my blowouts followed by curling iron! I first bought it in a monochrome color (hazelnut) and didn't think it was as naturally looking as I would have liked. I then got three rooted (hazelnut and honeyed toast x 2) and absolutely loved them! Have received many compliments. I'm not positive this size is the best for me (I was remote teaching so little risk) but may size up as I "go live". I also saw slight differences in how each of my four ladies were styled! I like this wig. I am returning it, but I like it. I got this in color GL14-22SS which is supposed to be a sandy blond with darker roots. As you can see from the pictures there really is no difference between the roots and the hair, and it is all really light colored for me. I will be getting a new one in a darker color like GL16-27SS. My other mild complaint is that for some reason the ear area fits a little weird on me, though I have a petite head. It's like the ears are slightly too high, and even when I loosened the elastic it didn't help much. Very minor, which is why I'm willing to try this is a different color.Brittany
Soft & Subtle in GL 6-30 was my first foray into beachy waves, and I love her! There's a little bit of permatease at the top, but not much, so she doesn't seem too "wiggy" for me. I wish that the curls were a bit more structured – I wouldn't necessarily wear her for a special occasion – but she's great for an unfussy, casual look. She comes across as very natural, as if I'd just stepped out of the shower and I had wavy hair that just dried that way, so I feel comfortable wearing her for day-to-day activities. I have a 21.75-inch circumference, and the petite-average fits well with just a little extra room at the crown; an average-large would definitely have been too large for me. As your records would show I have purchased many of this exact wig. When I got the first ones I was thrilled with them. They I would definitely have given 5 plus stars. Then I had purchased 2 more when I was concerned the others were wearing out. I thought they were horrible. Not as much hair on one side, colour was not what I had gotten before though the same number and I was planning on returning them but felt the shipping to return plus the shipping and duty I had already paid was not worth it so decided to donate to a women's group. Later I took another chance after complaining to this site and once again they were definitely not up to the standard of the original wigs. It seems to me the quality control was very poor and that because I didn't like them found myself wearing the old ones though they were showing their age. I needed shampoo and conditioner so thought I'd try one final time. Well these were better than the last four that were terrible but still not anywhere near the same standard as the originals. I can't believe that it's the same company creating them as the hair is so much faker than the originals I would love to purchase the ones I had bought the first while but while these I will have to wear when the old ones are simply worn out but will be searching for another site that possibly has this wig

The wig has significant permatease, but I can very easily smooth her down somewhat using just my fingers – I imagine I could get her even flatter with a good styling creme. Alternatively, if you want to spike her up, she'll go pretty high with a good shake and some teasing. I also appreciate that the bangs aren't super-long and I don't need to trim them. Although I've never tried Raquel Welch's "Winner," Serving Style seems similar to the basic (non-Elite) version of that wig, with the addition of a lace front for off-the-face styling versatility. I purchased this wig in the honey pecan. I’m a natural dark brunette plus size 23 inch head and this average fit me just fine. The cap is comfortable, natural, soft, and has a nice stretch. Rooting and highlighting is very natural spot on. To keep it out of my eyes, I just use a little clip which makes it look even cuter to put it back. This is a great wig if you want hair to stay out of your face in the summer when it’s hot or while you are busy doing things. I haven’t tried the sweet talk luxury but this one feels so nice I wouldn’t even be inclined to try unless it’s just for fun. Perfect color if you’re a brunette and you want to start going lighter and have it look natural. Will put a review on YouTube under “it’s a wonderful wig” since I love this so much. I own this in the Light Blonde. The fibers look like natural hair. The wig hugs the nape of neck like natural hair. Of all the different brands that I’ve purchased over the past 7 years, this was the most natural right out of the box. I did trim the front for bangs, which I think give wigs a more natural and real looking hairline. I’ll purchase another when the price is lower. By the way, I believe the size is average. I typically order petite if available, but this fit like a petite. So if you have a larger head, it may not fit properly. For me, it’s very comfortable. (I always had baby fine hair, but after many chemo treatments, my hair is half of what it is was. So not much there. But the convenience of wearing wigs and not having to worry about bad hair days because of rain, snow, humidity, wind, etc. is a blessing)Sharon

First, the good. The weight is so light it barely feels like its there compared to other wigs, and the cap itself is comfortable. You can also achieve quite a few different looks with this hairstyle, and can part it anywhere and wear the bangs forward or off to the side. The not-so-good, first, is the color. G29+ is a mixture of auburn and gold and light brown, and the color is not natural at all, not even salon highlighting. It is just too wild and not believable. The shine is bad even with dry shampoo (even excessive amounts), but cornstarch helped a bit. The hair texture was fine for the first week or so, and then the texture got very coarse. The lace front was too noticeable, so it needed to be trimmed, but the lace is scratchy to the point that my head sometimes gets scratched and bleeds when I adjust it.. There is a cowlick in the back that just never lays right. The knots that are darker are very noticeable on the monofillament top,so there is no point in even having a monotop, because it has to be covered up anyway. The lace front is too sparse and it is too thin where it is parted. The knots are in rows and are very sparse as well, and based on other reviews, all of the "Gabor luxury monotops" have this same issue, including Paradox and Grandeur. It has great potential, but there are too many negatives for me to recommend it. I have Gabor Folly, and it is more natural in every way, except for the lack of monofillament.b.r.
There are not many styles made in a large size that are traditional cuts and colors appropriate for "more mature" women, but I did find this one by Gabor! It is perfect in fit and color and if there is ever another pleasing style in a large I'll likely buy it, too. The only thing I wish is that it had clips inside for more security. As a Plan B person, I have some clips and will figure that out!
Carte Blanche is definitely my most natural looking wig. It is the one that is most “me.” I have it in Buttered Toast, Honey Mist, and am placing an order for Vanilla Mist. I recently visited with my seven year old grandson who asked, “Nana, is that a wig?” When I told him it was, he said, “ I couldn’t tell if that was a wig or not.” To me, this speaks volumes! The fit is comfortable on my 22” head, and the fibers are soft.Linda G.
