Well, I finally learned my lesson. I cannot purchase clearance items any longer since every time I have, there has been something either wrong with the wig (manufacturing) or something I didn't like and there are no returns. There wasn't anything wrong with this piece. She just had way too much hair and the fibers were so dry they were like straw. It is a beautiful warm color but the density, the permatease and the dry fibers made this difficult to pull off. I thinned it out and tried to tame the permatease but it just didn't work. Plus, the fibers were like doll hair and so that was a dead giveaway. This was the third JR piece and all have pretty dry fibers. Is this normal? I did receive the piece quickly and as always WS1 is around to answer any questions.E.N.
I am a first time buyer, trying to figure out what fits and how to wear the wigs. I ordered 3 wigs in this first order, and two of them I can adjust and work with. But "Gwen" has very short hair and it looks nothing like the pictures! I had it on my head for a few seconds and couldn't stand the very short hair with no shape at all. It looked like a hedgehog, The color is nice, but this wig is too small, too short hair for my plus size figure: Gwen Wig by Jon Renau STRAWBERRY BLONDE AND WARM PLATINUM BLONDE BLENDED & TIPPED W STRAWBERRY BLONDE NAPE (27T613F). In all fairness, I only had it on my head a few seconds and took it off right away, I didn't try to make it look better, afraid to ruin the chance for return. It might be ok for someone else, but at 62 yrs old and plus size figure, that little wig was not even funny! I filled out the return label for "Gwen" but keeping the other two, with medium length hair: "Blushing Beauty" Wig by Gabor | Mono Part GL16/27 and the "Salsa" Wig by Raquel Welch | Large Cap R14/88H Golden Wheat. Those two are a bit large and I need to learn to adjust the tabs in the back, and I also need to figure out from the videos how to "style" them with my fingers so they look good for me. This is a cute summer wig for someone who doesn't want permatese. It's low density. I got 22F16 there is not enough dimension for me but I do feel someone looking for a well made no permatese, low density piece would be very happy with it. I did have lots of thick hair & I like some poof on top.I was going to give it away but it is growing on me using dry shampoo,piece out & hair spray. Even tho it's symmetrical you can achieve a asymmetrical look with some tucking. I have noticed many reviews/comments on various pieces that I feel expectations are often unrealistic. Let's face it we all don't look like the beautiful ladies,Eileen,Marlen or Taz much less the models. I have found often if I think I don't like something if I change my makeup,color I'm wearing wait a few days,wear it around the house,often one I thought I would send back grows on me. Also often they just need a bit of tweaking with a small trim here & there to make it my own. I imagine very few can just take most of them out of the box with INSTANT SUCCESS ! I shook out my new wig with great anticipation, put it on and voila! It looked like I had a helmet on top of my head. No little wispy layers, but holes, cowlicks, and you name it. I liked the new short style for me and decided I would take it to my beautician to see what she could do. I showed her the picture, put on the wig, and did a little tweaking. Her first response was, "Is this the same wig you ordered?" She worked with it and finally said, "Can you send it back?" No. Well, she styled some more and made it look better. However, she said that whenever I put it on, I would always need to work with it and use wig hair spray to keep down the cowlicks." I have 12 wigs and 10 came from Paula Young. I've loved all but two of them. This is my first 100% hand tied wig. I will think long and hard about another. If you are considering this wig, look for one similar. This one is not worth the good sale price at that time. Sorry, I'm sending no picture as the wig does not look like the picture but looks presentable after being trimmed and tweaked by my wonderful stylist. Disappointed!Fay
I love this wig, perfect color perfact style. I have been trying for years to find just the right cap and style and price, the Lagacy has all three. I ordered more , as I want to beable to have one while I am washing the other. I like that it is not thick, I think the finer hair lays nicely. if you like alot of hair this one is not for you, I really enjoy this wig as it is a cute style and looks real. my sister who was a beautian, said it looks natural. the lace front is great. I have a small head and it fits really well I tightened the straps and I do not even need glue or tape it stays put. I am so happy I shopped on Paula Young web sight. . I bought the hand-tied Trisha in Couture Gray. I've been trying different gray shades now that my bio hair has gone totally gray.. I'm very fair, with green eyes, and the color made my skin look blotchy and dull. My other issue with the wig is that I could not style it to look anything remotely like the picture. The nape was too long and it wouldn't finger-fluff it at the sides. The wig itself was beautifully made. My mom and I have been buying Paula Young wigs for 17 years now. Mom sticks to three favorite styles [petite passion, Abby, and Colleen] in the same color [16] and is always happy with hers. I am a lot more adventurous with what I buy. I do send those that aren't flattering back. I buy duplicates in varying shades once I find a style that I love. For the most part I think that PW offers a good product for the price. I have issues with the velcro adjustment tabs curling into uncomfortable lumps on some styles, but that's an easy repair to make.Carol

I'm 71 with light gray hair, thinning in front. I wear RW Sonata and Tony of Beverly Enhancer which are both synthetic and I like them. This Aspen piece is human hair. For the price I didn't expect it to be so nice. The hair is soft and I can use a blow dryer and curling iron on it. I just ordered my third one in case they stop making it. Don't let the model picture fool you. This piece is very versatile and the movement is great. Look at my picture. This is right out of the box. I'm wearing color 59L. I had never seen this style or color in person before and when I took her out of the box she took my breath away, I thought she was SO beautiful! Easily the lightest blonde in my collection now. I had been on a hunt for reds and decided on Harper in 130H. I have NO regrets! She is GORGEOUS! This is my 3rd Harper, as an indication of my satisfaction with this brand and style! I have one in 7H that I purchased and a 614GR that was gifted to me as well. HM fibers always feel dreamy. Harper is a long voluptuous beauty in any color with loose flowing curls/waves and beautiful movement. HM as a brand is very comfortable for me to wear, I would say they are true average (my circumference is 21.25). I have had to cinch in the adjusters on all my HM styles and the caps have wonderful stretch. I still have bio hair to cover and the caps easily cover my hair and a wig grip if I choose to wear one. I have ordered this wig before from another company and it was much thicker and the curls were more defined. This one though very soft is thin and the waves are only on bottom 1/3 of the wig almost as if someone brushed them out. Also the box came destroyed. Someone had taped over the box because original wasn't holding. Inside wig box was all smashed. But wig was intact with tags. I even wrote Henry Margu company to see if they have different qualities of the same wig and maybe sell seconds cheaper or that is even a thing. Waiting to hear backtobagojoe
