20 Gold Bob Wig For Sale (2023 Update)

I was so excited to receive this and try something new. I've been wearing Reese and Sky for a few years now, but wanted to switch it up a bit. I was so disappointed when I saw this. First, it looked like doll hair and the color was AWFUL! I normally wear either Irish Spice or Bronzed Brown. I ordered R3025S+ this time for a "highlighted" look, boy was I wrong. It looked like carrot orange. Well, lesson learned, stick with old faithful.Catherine I.

I loved the look of this wig but was hesitant to buy because of all of the bad reviews. There really are no wigs that look great right out of the box. All wigs need some sort of help. Here’s what I recommend when getting a new wig: take it out of the box and give it a good shake. Put it on and adjust the fit, ear tabs, and general placement. Finger comb it into place and then walk away. Stay away from any mirrors for at least 30 minutes or longer and don’t mess with it. This is important because when you do look in the mirror again you have “fresh eyes”. It will be easier to be more objective and not just reactive. At this point you can focus on what you do and don’t like and determine if the don’t likes are ‘fixable’. Change the part if needed, if there is too much poof, wet it down and finger comb. Don’t do any permanent modifications until you decide if you want to keep it. But give yourself time to evaluate the wig properly. For this wig, I wet the top, used my fingers to make a deep side part sweeping the bangs across my forehead and flattened down some of the poofiness on the top then left it alone to dry. I’m so happy I didn’t let the bad reviews discourage me. She’s a cute, sassy wig!jnut

I am 68 and have been wearing wigs pixie wigs for many years, but want a new wig with a little more fullness. I absolutely love this new wig and would recommend it to anyone. Unlike many of the other wigs that do not even resemble the pictures of the wig they purchased, this one looks exactly like the pictures on QVC. I only have one small complaint. The Med Red/Ginger is NOT red. It is more like a light brown with a little bit of red in it. There are a lot of us natural redheads that would love a short brighter red wig, such as Rachel Welch wig color "Glazed Fire". I would like to suggest that Hairdo and QVC start offering more wigs that are a brighter red for their redheaded customers. Even though I'm not thrilled with the color, I will keep the wig because it is very complementary to my face.grammiecc

This wig was rather difficult to deal with. The hair was bent right out of the package so it looked rather rough despite my efforts to get it to sit properly. It was alot shinnier than I expected it to be. For the price, it was fine. I think I'd rather pay a little more to buy something better next time.Ashley

This wig was horrible! I only gave one star because it wouldn't let me give 0 stars. The only thing that match about this wig was color. The cut, style and fit was off the mark. Party City should be ashamed to have something so misleading and horrible been sold in their stores. I will not recommend buying a wig from there again. The even worst thing is all sales are final. I own two of Charlotte now, one in Mimosa HL, the other in Sunset Glow!! I had to trim her up a bit to hit my jaw line, otherwise she’s perfect. I wear her with some wispy bangs. If you are an everyday wig wearer like I am, then I would not recommend this wig. I wanted to try it because I'd heard that it was similar to Angelica by Noriko but at a lower price point. I also wanted a basic cap/non lace front wig as an alternative to my more expensive Jon Renau wigs. First, let me say that I waited about a week after wearing this wig before writing this review. I ordered the color-walnut brown, which is a really nice warm brunette color with a hint of dark auburn (not highlights but blended together). The length is lovely, and the front doesn't fall on the face as much as the Angelica wigs do. It was nice and soft when I took it out of the box, but after 2 days of daily wear, it started to get really dry and scratchy as if I had been wearing it for months. Keep in mind, I only wear long wigs, so I am aware of all the extra care needed in order to make them last and to keep them in their best shape. A heavy amount of conditioning spray did get the wig feeling softer, but that only lasted a day and then it went right back to being scratchy. I even tried the Silicone spray, but that didn't help either. Also, after the 3rd day of wear, the permatease started to bunch up, making it so that the wig look really awkward on my head.Katherine C.

I ordered this again, as I loved the first one, in silky sand. I just send back second one, with photos, to show how defective it was, requesting postage refund too. It stuck up at the top, like a crew cut, brown roots. Hideous. Not like my first one. Customer service lady ,who SAW the photos, said it was supposed to be like that, to look natural. It was hideous! Defective. They did NOT reimburse me postage, for this very defective product. I am contacting BBB, and NEVER buying from this disreputable company ever again. Now they're going to pass this piece of **** wig on to the next unsuspecting customer. Hope it's worth it wig company. You robbed me of postage and lost a good customer .S.L.

I will have to be happy with my nice n easy hair coloring. The wig I received today was Not the Color I ordered or not even the correct product. I am showing a lot of gray and I purchased the bob hairdo in a brow color. I got a wig that has more gray in it than my own hair. The wig also has some sort of a white cotton cap sewn into the inside of the wig. Not once did I see any of the models or the hosts that were trying on wigs show this white cap on the inside of the wig. My wig did not come with the nylon head cap that all of the models were wearing. I have heard of bait and switch but now I have experienced it. This wig will be returned. Don't let these slick salespeople rope you in.kath44

I have never worn a wig before, but due to some health issues the past year, my hair has become very thin, which is very disheartening to say the least. Now why would they put a white liner, and I know it was done for sanitary reasons, inside the wig making it so difficult to try it on. If you do remove the liner, it can't be returned which makes it even more frustrating. Very poor policy QVC and hairdo! Also, it stated in the presentation you would receive a "wig cap" and even says that in the description for the product, but I did not receive one, why not? I will probably keep my wig because I do like the style and the color, but I'm still not sure of the fit. Please QVC, stand by your product, and give us the correct information and, hopefully get rid of that liner! I do not recommend this to other customers due to the presence of the liner.CaroleE12

I have close to 20 wigs. Purchased the Graceful Bob in Medium Brown/Gold. Stunning cut. This is my first Hairdo purchase and I had concerns about the color being too dark, would it look too wiggy? There was a drum roll when I opened my box and I was pleasantly surprised. NO issues. Lovely soft brown with highlights and not wiggy at all. When I put it on there is a white paper/cloth like lining. I had never seen that before but moved forward with putting it on. I like it and will keep it but the bangs were a little long so I carefully trimmed them. Not concerned because I do that all the time. So, perfection….. Now lets look at this lining. It is paper like and carefully tears out where there is a little stitch. OK so makes sense these days for added protection. Caution … That paper cap adds bulk when trying on the wig. So much so I had to trim more off my bangs because the wig fit much better. So, to those of you that think it is too tight it may be the paper inside. I think the hosts do need to mention that in the presentation. If they have I missed it. The color was very true to the display presentation with all the wigs lined up. Easy to freeze that frame on the computer and stare at it. Hope this helps those on the fence.Puppymeister

Nobody has this much hair. That’s where it becomes unnatural and screams WIG. Style gorgeous, color fabulous, cut amazing comfort wonderful. A wonderful opportunity to have a wig that fits me, matches my hair color and a real boon to my pocketbook. This was a purchase from the extra deep discount as an open box piece. It was a pleasant surprise to find it in the same ‘new’ condition as every wig I’ve ever purchased. About the color, size and style… it’s a perfect Bob for a plus size lady. The color is the most natural in dark gray that I could ask for a 67 year old. I have a large head, best suited for large cap wigs, but this bob with adjustable straps is just right. Way too much hair and very unnatural looking. Very itchy cap. Should have returned it but I tried to thin it out and fix it but it still did not fix the itchiness of the cap. The cap is also very large and I'm an average size head. The hair fiber itself is very coarse and stiff.Laura

Unfortunately, this keeps happening over and over. The Rene of Paris wigs I buy are usually on clearance and therefore I cannot return them. I have finally learned my lesson. It isn't the fault of Wigstudio1 – they are wonderful to do business with – it is the manufacturer. I am sure there are plenty of ROP's wigs that are nice but every one I have purchased, the fibers are are dry and feel like matted doll hair. Wyatt is no different. And it has an excessive amount of permatease. That said, I don't like permatease and so I typically go for those with very little so this particular wig seemed to have an excessive amount. I had a couple of other ROP wigs that didn't and others say that this didn't so maybe it was just this one piece. I tried washing it with Jone Renau shampoo and conditioner and used a conditioning spray and it just got even more dried out, matted and I could not tame the permatease. It looked like a big pink mushroom cloud on top of my head. All of this said, the color is beautiful. I do like the watermelon R and wish I could find something similar, but in another brand. Anyway, I am sorry to leave this review but I wanted others to know my experience. Of course it seems it worked out great for others so perhaps it was just my particular piece or my being finicky.erin

I debated this wig for a long time because in most media, the bangs seem wonky, and in some review videos, it seems kinda poofy in a dated way. I've become tired of buying wigs that require a bunch of work before I consider them ready to wear. Anyway… Right out of the box, I saw that, why yes, these bangs will need work, but overall the wig looked very promising, and marble-r is such a soft and very believable color. The cap is very well done and realistic. So, Angela has a side part, yet the bangs turn in toward it, instead of following the flow and direction of the side part. It just isn't how someone would do their hair. The hair has A LOT of return hair in it, especially the bangs, aka the worst place to have an abundance of it. Return hair are fibers that are shorter than the rest and they tend to stick out. I feel like Rene of Paris monotop wigs tend to have a lot of return hair. You can carefully steam them (or carefully use either a hot air brush, or even more carefully, a hair dryer with a concentrator nozzle–not recommended by manufacturers or retailers, but I do it out of sheer frustration. Those return hairs are stubborn.) I needed to trim the bangs. I steamed the bangs to improve the direction and return hairs. There's enough return hair throughout the body of the wig that it makes it look a little "ratty at the back", as my bff said. I want to take the time to tame the rest of the return hair, but I haven't yet. It's also a little tangly in general, but I'm trying to be careful with it and not brush it as much as I really want to… The monotop is not comfortable, but hopefully that's just this unit, and it improves with wearing and washing. It's a little tight on my average (but leaning toward large) head. The ear tabs sit on a good spot near my ears. It has wave but is not poofy. I like the length and shape of it, long, feminine, like I tried to look nice by giving my hair a once-over with a bigger-barreled curling iron. You could definitely wear this up or down, make it look more casual, or dressier. I only wish it had more color choices. The color options on this one are dismal. (You can see all the colors on the actual ROP site.) They came out with what looks like a related wig just now, and it's color choices are just as lacking. I don't know who is approving these color options, but they're apparently from the Henry Ford school of thought, "they can have any color they want as long as it's black." I would repurchase this wig but there's no other color that grabs me, so I'll say that if it ages nicely, so far I feel that I would buy another down the road when it's time to retire this one. If they had more color choices, I would buy another, and soon, to see if I like it as well as I do this one so far.Jay

I’ve been looking for a short pixie with a side swept bang, and—finally—this is it! What I like about Amara: 1) It’s very short at the nape. The hair barely touches my collar. 2) it’s a snug fit. When you bend your head forward, it doesn’t slide, flip up, or move off your neck at all. (I don’t worry about this wig at all when I’m sailing.) 3) Although it is a short wig, it still has that classic ROP profile with a tapered back and a little “poof” at the crown. 5) The bang. I love me a side swept bang! 6) The hair is nice and short around the ears. Usually I have to tuck the hair of every wig behind my ears, but not this one. 7) The color (Creamy Blond) is very neutral. I have cool undertones and look terrible in blonds that are yellow. This is definitely a platinum, but a slightly warm platinum—not white at all. Balanced. Neutral. What I don’t like about Amara: 1) Some of the layered hairs flip out a little in the back instead of laying straight with the rest. If I can’t tame them, I’m going to carefully clip them off. What some others might not like about Amara: 1) This style has a basic cap with perma-tease, no mono anything, and no lace front. It’s doesn’t have a ton of perma-tease but enough to keep the volume. Upon close inspection of the crown, your wig secret may be exposed. However, it’s no worse and probably better than most other wigs with basic caps. Personally, I like the volume from perma-tease and don’t give a hoot whether people know I wear wigs (all my friends know anyways). 2) The cap is tight! Probably not a good choice for a larger head. But, I like a tight cap. It’s not so tight that I get a headache. 3) Ear tabs are short. This wig won’t work if you need to cover a lot of bio- hair at your side burns. Overall, this is the wig I’ve been looking for and I’m happy with my purchase.Marie

The wig was already thinning in the front when I got it and I can't hide this with bio hair because the lace is too long (can't cut the lace because it is the only thing gripping the front, there are no clips). I don't recommend this piece for people with small/low foreheads, maybe if you are completely bald with no bio hair it might work for you but not if you have pale skin because the knots are very dark and the lace is tan. I tried to straighten the hair on low heat and it made a melting smell, I question if all the hair is real. The cap is also extremely itchy and the lace is not soft (because the lace grips) so it is uncomfortable when it sits on my forehead. I would need to sew in clips and then seal off the lace so it doesn't unravel when trimmed, but for $2000 I would expect this to be of better quality. I own many wigs and hair toppers, I am always disappointed in Jon Renau but I took a risk because I liked the color. The Jon Renau brand is not carried much anymore because their pieces are just not worth the price. I am just going to have to stick with Uniwigs because at least I know what to expect and they are keeping up with the trends for comfort and affordability.LS

The hair piece is nicely made and the color was spot-on. I really, really wanted to like this wig. My overall problem was the style… and was in a few of the reviews I had read prior. The front part was over bearing and so much so that it wouldn't stay out of my face…. almost like there was too much hair. While I didn't try to style the piece or trim to see if that would make a difference (didn't want to do anything in case I returned, which I did), so it's possible I could have made it work. But I just couldn't get past the front portion of the wig and all the volume; I couldn't figure out what to do with it! I am not new to hair pieces, wigs and extension pony-tails so I am aware that some effort is-or-might be necessary, etc., but it simply just looked fake on me. I only deducted 1 Star because it might have been fixable but $300.++ I didn't want to take that chance so I returned. But overall, the wig is pretty and the cap is comfy. Good luck!Susie

This is a really lovely wig with a gorgeous curl pattern. Love the TOB lace fronts, and this does not disappoint. However it has a lot of permatease and was quite 'poofy' straight out of the box, but after the first wash it mostly relaxed and now looks more natural. This is the sort of style that would flatter most face shapes I think. The cap is slightly big on my petite-average head, but still fairly secure and very comfortable. For reference, my circumference is 21.5 inches and 13 inches both ear-to-ear and front-to-back. I think it would be a perfect fit for a true average head size. The colour Hot-Cocoa is a nice neutral brown with no red tones. The colour swatch is a good representation of it. If you don't mind the pillowy permatease and lack of monofilament, I recommend Isla as a fun and sassy everyday wig.S. G.

This is the most expensive wig I've ever purchased and I have learned that you really do get what you pay for. The fine hair texture feels lovely and moves beautifully. The lace front is the most natural-looking one I've ever seen but I did trim a few thin, wispy, bangs for complete confidence. The color Rooted Blonde is perfect for me. As with all blonde shades, there was a little too much sheen for my taste but it was easily dulled with a spritz of dry shampoo and a light dusting of powder. I've been wearing wigs every day since age 18; yikes this is close to 50 years. I love the natural look of Dylan Lace Front Wig. Dylan falls gently around my face and blows softly in the wind. It is very important that people think my wig is my real hair and many times I am asked who does my hair. I just respond with, "My hair dresser lives in California." I purchased the Arya Lace Front Wig in Kahlua. I have purchase many wigs from different brands and I'm so pleased I decide to try the Arya. It fits perfect and the color looks so natural and exactly as it is shown on line. Ok this is the fifth Arya that I have in four different colors. I love the style, softness of fibers. She is very low density no permatease and one of the most realistic wigs I have. She is a workhorse wig and holds up very well; however this one was dry had box hair like never seen before and was very thin. Really disappointed with the lack of hair. A little wind and wefts will be showing on this one. It was in the gray color a very pretty silver actually. It seems the newer wigs do not have near the hair the older ones do. I have purchased numerous wigs from Paula Young and for the most part very satisfied. HOWEVER this recent wig above I paid more than usual and am not satisfied! It has ends that are shorter in places and I tried a number of ways to solve that and the only solution I felt was to hairspray them down. The bangs don’t lay as nice other wigs I have had.Barbara

I ordered two wigs. The only size they offered was average. seems I have a big head! They didn't fit and you can certainly tell they are wigs. They also didn't look anything like what is portrayed in the pictures. Since they were on sale and I can't send them back, I'm sending them to my little great granddaughter to use for dress up. She's 5. Sorry these didn't work out, but you get what you pay for. A good wig, particularly one with real hair usually costs $$$. I should have known better.Eileen

This wig has the perfect style and is a rare decent style in an acceptable gray. I love it – I look great in it – I don't look wiggy in it. That's why I love it. BUT It gets frizzy within a very few months – I usually have to buy 6 or 8 of them a YEAR! Yes, you read it right – 6 or 8 – unless I'm prepared to walk around with frizz on my head. Which screams – wig. However, finding a human hair wig in a good gray is impossible, and I'm not sure any of the other kanekalon wigs are any less prone to frizz.. so I do it. I have 4 different wigs going at any one time and alternate them. I keep them on wig stands and spray them with conditioner every night after I wear each one. I comb them with metal wig combs, wash them in wig shampoo – I can't come up with any other way to get them to last even a few months. I actually have been driven to use my dog's super coat comb to take out some of the frizz before I have to discard the wigs. So, I would really appreciate some genius figuring out how to make kanekalon longer lasting – it would be a good thing for me.Terry

The mocha chino color is very natural. This is my first halo, and I thought the hair would be a bit thicker. But then I put it on, and it looked really good. I love that the bangs are easily removable, it makes it versatile, according to what scarf or hat I want to wear. Conclusion is that I recommend this piece.Mary G.

I had been a fan of this wig and wore it on and off since 2015 and was excited to see it on sale this month. When I got it I was very disappointed in the quality. The wig looks nothing like the picture. It was thin/ not full at all and you could see the tract in the front of the wig. I think Lux Wigs went out of business (website is not live and there is no customer support number) and the quality went waaaaayyy down. Save your money.Tanya P.

I love this wig. It’s so beautiful. The hairline is spacious and can be parted anywhere. The curls are full n the texture of the hair is perfect. I made a middle part and a side part and it looked perfect both ways.i didn’t have any tangling either. I’m surprised I hadn’t heard about this wig before. It’s a well kept secret. If I wasn’t experienced in wearing wigs, this would have been a really frustrating and disappointing purchase. As soon as I took the hair out of the box, the ends seemed really tough and frizzy, to the point where the comb gets stuck. Because the quality is so poor, I ensure extremely gentle combing but somehow one of the tracks has already broken within the first 1-2 weeks. The **** are that once you tint the lace/add makeup and cut your baby hairs, the hairline blends really week and looks realistic. If you’re more of an expert at tailoring your own wigs then this isn’t too bad, but you won’t be able to wear it for too long because of the quality. If it was cheaper like the original price in the US then I don’t think I would have minded as much.Danielle C.

I am obsessed with this wig! This was my 3rd time ordering, but my first time getting a wig installed for daily wear. When I tell you!!!! It doesn’t feel heavy on my head. It’s a tad tight, BUT I think that’s because I’m not use to wearing one daily, not because of the make of the unit. The color is EXACTLY what I expected and is a perfect summer blend I love that it is a side part too because I love doing a clipped back look behind my ear (will make it easier to wear my walkie at work) I thought it was gonna be too long but I actually love the length! This wig was disappointing. It is a final sale, so cannot be returned or exchanged. The hair on the top is too heavy and clumpy and cannot be parted anywhere. It falls firmly forward and you cannot make it part, picture shows a part which is why I purchased it. I would not recommend this wig at all. Very disappointed with the quality considering how much I paid for it — I expected a high quality wig and in my opinion, this one is not high quality.Louise

This wig is so wonderful! I literally was able to cut the extra lace off and put it on! It laid flat. The hair part looks so natural, no need for makeup unless you’d prefer a darker look. The lay of the hair is “butta” so smooth. The color is amazing, it matches so well with my skin tone. The wig has three clips; one on both sides and one in the back. The only drawback for me is it does not have a band to add more stay security. My head is a bit small, so I need that extra support. This wig turned so many heads. I was even told “I’m used to being Becky with the good hair, now I can’t because of your new look!” I took it as a compliment. Such a good wig, I’m buying it again!Sharron M.

I originally ordered this because of a fantastic YouTube review . It didn’t live up to my expectations. Pros the hair is soft , nice and I’ve received so many compliments. It’s so long too !! I’m 5’8” and it went past my waist. It looks natural and can get it wet for the wet look with eco style gel ,but that style doesn’t last long. Cons it tangles SO MUCH not to the point where I can’t wear it but I know it’s going to be a daily issue if I wear it everyday. I wish the lace was longer because it barely reached my ears despite it being “ big head friendly.”Jay
