Purchased this wig for use as a theatrical prop which I needed to get changed into in less than a minute between acts. Have also clipped a hat onto it using kirby grips for speed. Easy to put on with the help of assistant who checks it's the right way round. Looks good, unlike many fancy dress wigs I've used, this one really does look like the publicity photo on the package. Maintains it's shape and doesn't flap about, even after a few quick changes. The specs are a nice addition, although I haven't used them as I use a metal framed set for my act. All in all, worth the money as it does the job at a budget price.thor846

Hi, I have been purchasing this Shannon wig for 8yrs now and have "Never" been dis-appointed! The Shannon wig is not only durable for daily wear and holds up very well wash after was it also, is my go to wig for a quick updo for special occasions!!! My color of choice is Wheat Rooted because I have fair skin and green eyes and boy does this rooted color make my eyes pop!!! For some reason unknown to doctors when I was just 24yrs old I lost all my hair over a span of 8 months and battling cervical cancer as well! As a young woman I was devastated and experiencing depression, chemo was brutal to say the least. I had a young family to raise and had to hold down a high pressure job where personal appearances mattered!!! So needless to say I was forced into buying those old fashioned bulky and ugly wigs. Then came the more natural looking wigs that were way over priced. All I can say is thank you Wig.com and Paula Young for making such durable cute and chic looking wigs at such affordable prices!!! I also, have purchased Avery wig and Nola wig and I'm currently deciding to purchase the new Sloane wig (if you haven't checked out any of these wigs, please do so)!!! The "Special Bonus" is all of these wigs are "Versa Fiber Wigs" as well as Heat Friendly. This is key to all of the wigs I have mentioned being extremely durable shampoo after shampoo & conditioner to holding up so well!!! You can stick your head near the oven when cooking, take a walk on a hot and or humid day, sunbathe etc..etc and all of these wigs will hold up to all of what I just mentioned! Of course don't forget to purchase the correct wig shampoo, wig spray conditioner and wig spray found on both Wig.com and Paula Young. These accessories are really very important for proper wig care!!! Also, if you can afford it please splurge on a good wig stand and wig travel case, which are also found on Wig com. Stay tuned because I will be posting photos of the above mentioned wigs really soon. I will show you the various ways they can be effortlessly styled in updos and curled or just straight out of the box after just a few shakes!!! I’ve worn Shannon for many years and I love it! I’ve tried other styles, I always go back to my favorite, Shannon. I get compliments all the time! I’ve had beautician friends that were shocked when I told them I had a wig on! They fry very quickly and are so easy to style. I lost most of my hair because of medication that I take for a bladder and thyroid disease. Paula Young has changed my life with the Shannon wig. I am forever grateful. I am 74 years old. I now own three Flirt Alert wigs, this is my absolute favorite for several reasons. I wear my wigs every day, all day. I need a wig that holds up well to daily use. I find the tangling and matting of the longer wigs to be unbearable! Well let me tell you…flirt alert holds up well!! She is soft and silky, bouncy and beautiful…the 4 inch nape keeps her from matting…I get so many compliments when I wear her. The other day, a woman got out of her car and was screaming across the parking lot wanting to know where I get my hair done because she wanted hers done like mine! LOL! I wish this wig came in a hand tied cap, but that’s my ONLY complaint, if you can call that a complaint.Kyra

I have been wearing wigs since breast cancer caused my already thinning hair to fall out. Due to POS and a hormone blocker I will take for a few more years, my hair had no chance at coming back to anything resembling a full head. I've played around with a few styles, staying mostly with bobs, which was close to my hairstyle before chemo and I was comfortable with. I decided to take the plunge and go for a shorter, easier style and came upon Advanced French. Ordered in a lighter color (RL 14/22, Pale Golden Wheat) as my own hair is mostly white and a golden blonde. The wig came and it immediately seemed to brighten my face and is a very youthful style, not that at 64 yrs. I want to look like a kid, but every little bit helps. I had it on when the husband came home from work and he didn't have to say anything for me to know he approved. Its fun, easy and for a short style, has some styling options. The lace front is not as itchy as some have been and I love getting hair off my neck and off the face. Great little style and ordered two more right away.Therese W.

Just received my Big Deal in Shaded Biscuit. She was out of stock for a while, so I jumped on this order when she became available again, and I'm so glad I did! The fibers are silky soft with los of swingy, natural movement. She's comfortable and can go from daytime to evening easily. Big Time and Upstage are about the longest lengths I'll wear; anything longer jus doesn't look like me. I'm petite, for reference. Also, I have only brushed this wig upside down before putting it on. After I received my order it was apparent that the color was just not a good one for me. I had ordered two wigs, both the same color and found that in person they were just very fake and not a natural look at all. I sent them back and then after reading the instruction found that over half the amount I paid for them was to be deducted due to the various charges they put on returns. I am very upset at this change in policy and cannot see myself using Paula Young Wigs in the future. I have been a faithful customer for over 15 years, so sorry, not anymore.Carol

A few months ago, I ordered the "Alex" wig. I love it! I ordered a second one so that I would always have it ready. While the first one was – and stil is – perfect, the second one is straggly and sloppy looking. When I first took it out of the box and followed directions (shaking, etc,) it looked ok. I put it aside til I could get a styrofoam head. Once I put it on that, it showed itself. I cannot wear it. I have not worn it. Unfortunately, I did take the tag off when I thought it was going to be ok. Please take it back and send me one that looks like the first one.Rosemary

I received the wig in a couple of weeks of ordering..I tried it on but it kept slipping off my head. The velcro tapes were set to the tightest setting. I took the wig to my hairdresser thinking it should be cut as the style was so weird.. She told me to wash it first in fairly hot water so some of the crushing from shipping would come out.. Seriously after wearing it for 30 seconds it looked like I was a cone head!! The inside just above the bangs there is a circle of heavy knit capping.. Not the stretch lace like the rest of the wig liner is made from…This is advertised as a whisper lite wig?…My head dripped with sweat in a few minutes as it just does not breathe the same as my other wigs? My hairdresser suggested it not be cut but to somehow get it made smaller. I have Alopecia so have bought and worn wigs for some years. I have always had wigs come with a stretchy lace type liner with metal adjustable clips on the elastic straps. I live in Canada so not an option to return the wig with the high postage, tax paid and the exchange rate…. So I bought some crazy glue to cinch up the elastic tapes making them shorter.. that was a total mess as the glue did not adhere the same as my other many wigs have done when the elastic stretched out.. I then pinched the material together to sew it on each side to tighten to fit my head.. I have always worn an average size wig… This one with that hard thick cone or dome inside was something else!!! Why did I take the added expense of a hairdresser as well as buying the glue?? The color of the wig and the style now that I have the cap fitting properly suits me to no end!! I look stunning in it and it looks like my own hair. My hairdresser says it does not look at all like a wig….So I made all of these compromises! I suggest that they make this Wig in all sizes so we don't have to glue or sew our fingers trying to make them smaller than Average. I suggest that the Deluxe Soft Touch Grip be sold in a smaller size as wellBrenda

I have 3 Geneva style wigs and love them. I ordered 2 more, it the new ones are much shorter in length than my 3 older ones. Very disappointing that they are not consistent in the styling & length. Geneva rooted is by far my favorite, but the ones I just received are very pixie ish. Even my husband commented on the shortness. I did send one back &kept the other. I don’t know if I will even wear this new one. Not good quality control. Too bad, I have praised their products to friends & family,but now w/a warning.Judy

For the fifth ( or sixth) time in the last 18 months, the wig has been of poor quality….thin, flat, choppy looking. Not like pictured, not like previous purchases. I’ve worn PY wigs for 10 years and have come to expect natural looking hair. I wear them out of necessity, so receiving these last ones has not only been disappointing, but necessitates buying new ones. I have donated several to the cancer center. They have hairdressers who can work with the wigs to make them useable for patients in need. Skills I don’t have. I can’t afford to keep donating and buying anew 😔Carolyn

The wig is lovely in the picture on the website, a little different than what came. I am sure it is the same wig, but the styling was somewhat different. I wasn't thrilled with how it looked on me. On someone else it will be pretty. The quality of the workmanship was good, and it fit really well. But no matter how you try to picture yourself with a certain hairstyle you just can't until you try it on and look in the mirror. I do wish that the website had software for virtual try on where you could upload your picture and try on the wigs before you order. I am sending this one back, just not for me.Cathy

Ladies I have a small head but this wig is very big head friendly lots of room. With that being said I would like to see this wig with band install. The hair has some tangle easy fix with conditionor. Lace will require some time not a grab & go unit. However, this is a gorgeous unit and I received lots of compliments in her I named her Miss November.Chantel C.

This wig is big head friendly, the curls fit my face well, and I like the length. The lace looks very believable and there's ample parting space. This wig should come with a strap because the front of the wig tends to slip back often. This wig lasted one and a half months before it became visible tattered. Hard to brush and comb without it frizzing up, but it lasted me a total of three months, wearing it daily. I have to wash it twice a month because it holds on to surrounding odors easily.Blair

This unit is beautiful. I don't usually wear short wigs but this one caught my eye. I got it in 1B and it looks so natural. I've experienced a little bit of tangling but that's to be expected.Leslie P.

I ordered two of these wig styles. I wore the gray one to a mother's day brunch. As I was standing by my car, a lady called out Madia as she was passing by in her car. She thought I looked like the Tyler Perry character. I will never wear that wig again. The black one was designed with way too much hair. The hair does not fall correctly and it has too many layers. I tried it on, and it looked ridiculous. The wigs were supposed to be the exact same style, but they were not.Linda

I had viewed Esela many times keeping in mind negative reviews about this wig that I read on Especially Yours website. Because of your favorable return policy, I decided to order it. Many wig companies do everything they can to keep you from returning their products. My disappointment with Esela was that my purchase did not resemble the wig I viewed on line in style or color.Anna

Wore this wig on a flght and every woman on the flight, stopped by my seat to admire it. Wow what a surprise, most of them, actually applauded me and my hair style, it was at least twenty- six women, which does not include the stewards working on this flight, add four more women tothis group of admirers. I loved the concept of the wig. The front can be styled to your taste. The braid is beautiful. I would have loved it even more if was grey/ silver. I have long passed the salt and pepper hair. I gave it to a friend who loves it, I envy her.Della

Nora is a delightful fluff and go style with waves and almost curls. I got it in color 38, which is light ash brown with grey. It is supposed to be light ash brown with 25 percent grey (it seems a bit more than that;) It would be nice if Paula Young had at least one style featured in this color. The ash brown is very close to my natural color (a bit lighter) but Nora has more grey than I do personally. Nora arrived smelling absolutely wretched; I almost gagged when I opened the box. I had to wash the wig immediately. I used Paula Young shampoo. I thought I detected the (fumigant?) odor even after the wash, but when Nora dried, she no longer smelled. When I first put her on after she'd dried she was not pretty and the curls were mashed against the cap. I shook her vigorously and then took a wide tooth comb and really brought the fibers up off the cap. I wasn't rough, but I was deliberate in going over the entire wig to revive the fibers. I was able to achieve a style very similar to the catalog photo. In my photos, Nora has a more shag-like appearance, but once on she can be fluffed to the rounded silhouette of the catalog photo. Nora fits my 22.25 inch head comfortably and could be adjusted to go even a bit larger, or smaller. I find the fibers dry to the touch and just a bit coarser than my own very fine hair (although Nora's fiber does not look coarse.) Nora is comfortable to wear and an adorable style that goes with dressy as well as casual outfits. If you are prepared to spend a few moments waking Nora up after you first get her home, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at her fluff and go versatility. Coverage around the ears and nape is great.Lisa

When this DANCE wig and COLOR ME EXQUISITE wigs arrived, upon removing them from the box they were cute, and the colors were pretty and the best thing they had going for them, However, they didn't look much like the ones the models in the pictures wore. And there is too much perma tease or "fluff" to them. They had really no style to them at all. Especially in the front, just couldn't do much with them. And didn't want to try since being careful with them is a must when trying them on. Very disappointed with these wigs. In my humble opinion they were not great and not keepers. So I am returning them and probably won't buy anymore wigs again. Sorry PY but your wigs need to be lighter weight, lay nicer, (some of us like a bit flatter style) far less perma tease or fluff, easier to wear right out of the box…Thanks anyway…Juanita

I am completely disappointed with my purchase. I ordered two of this wig because I really like the look of the style in the picture. The wigs I received will not comb into the style shown. The top is spiked and will only stand straight up and the bangs stick straight out and will not lay nicely against the forehead. I tried to tame it down with wig spray and hair gel but it won't lay down. The top hair stands straight up and the bangs stick straight out. The wig will not comb into a nice smooth pixie like the picture shows. I would not recommend a person buy this wig unless you want spiked hair that stands straight up at the top of your head and bangs that stick straight out at your forehead. The style does not resemble the picture at all !Eve

It's a great fit and does what I needed. But it is very shiny – could never be confused for a real hair wig. I made it work better by spraying it with black hair colour, giving it a black with silver streaks look which works fine!charlesey13
