After I received my order it was apparent that the color was just not a good one for me. I had ordered two wigs, both the same color and found that in person they were just very fake and not a natural look at all. I sent them back and then after reading the instruction found that over half the amount I paid for them was to be deducted due to the various charges they put on returns. A few months ago, I ordered the "Alex" wig. I love it! I ordered a second one so that I would always have it ready. While the first one was – and stil is – perfect, the second one is straggly and sloppy looking. When I first took it out of the box and followed directions (shaking, etc,) it looked ok. I put it aside til I could get a styrofoam head. Once I put it on that, it showed itself. I cannot wear it. I have not worn it. I received the wig in a couple of weeks of ordering..I tried it on but it kept slipping off my head. The velcro tapes were set to the tightest setting. I took the wig to my hairdresser thinking it should be cut as the style was so weird.. She told me to wash it first in fairly hot water so some of the crushing from shipping would come out.. Seriously after wearing it for 30 seconds it looked like I was a cone head!! The inside just above the bangs there is a circle of heavy knit capping.. Not the stretch lace like the rest of the wig liner is made from…This is advertised as a whisper lite wig?…My head dripped with sweat in a few minutes as it just does not breathe the same as my other wigs? My hairdresser suggested it not be cut but to somehow get it made smaller. I have Alopecia so have bought and worn wigs for some years. I have always had wigs come with a stretchy lace type liner with metal adjustable clips on the elastic straps. I live in Canada so not an option to return the wig with the high postage, tax paid and the exchange rate…. So I bought some crazy glue to cinch up the elastic tapes making them shorter.. that was a total mess as the glue did not adhere the same as my other many wigs have done when the elastic stretched out.. I then pinched the material together to sew it on each side to tighten to fit my head.. I have always worn an average size wig… This one with that hard thick cone or dome inside was something else!!! Why did I take the added expense of a hairdresser as well as buying the glue?? The color of the wig and the style now that I have the cap fitting properly suits me to no end!! I look stunning in it and it looks like my own hair. My hairdresser says it does not look at all like a wig….So I made all of these compromises! I suggest that they make this Wig in all sizes so we don't have to glue or sew our fingers trying to make them smaller than Average. I have 3 Geneva style wigs and love them. I ordered 2 more, it the new ones are much shorter in length than my 3 older ones. Very disappointing that they are not consistent in the styling & length. I’ve worn PY wigs for 10 years and have come to expect natural looking hair. I wear them out of necessity, so receiving these last ones has not only been disappointing, but necessitates buying new ones. I have donated several to the cancer center. The wig is lovely in the picture on the website, a little different than what came. I am sure it is the same wig, but the styling was somewhat different. I wasn't thrilled with how it looked on me. On someone else it will be pretty. The quality of the workmanship was good, and it fit really well. But no matter how you try to picture yourself with a certain hairstyle you just can't until you try it on and look in the mirror. Nora is a delightful fluff and go style with waves and almost curls. I got it in color 38, which is light ash brown with grey. It is supposed to be light ash brown with 25 percent grey (it seems a bit more than that;) It would be nice if Paula Young had at least one style featured in this color. The ash brown is very close to my natural color (a bit lighter) but Nora has more grey than I do personally. Nora arrived smelling absolutely wretched; I almost gagged when I opened the box. I had to wash the wig immediately. I used Paula Young shampoo. I thought I detected the (fumigant?) odor even after the wash, but when Nora dried, she no longer smelled. When I first put her on after she'd dried she was not pretty and the curls were mashed against the cap. I shook her vigorously and then took a wide tooth comb and really brought the fibers up off the cap. I wasn't rough, but I was deliberate in going over the entire wig to revive the fibers. I was able to achieve a style very similar to the catalog photo. In my photos, Nora has a more shag-like appearance, but once on she can be fluffed to the rounded silhouette of the catalog photo. Nora fits my 22.25 inch head comfortably and could be adjusted to go even a bit larger, or smaller. I find the fibers dry to the touch and just a bit coarser than my own very fine hair (although Nora's fiber does not look coarse.) Nora is comfortable to wear and an adorable style that goes with dressy as well as casual outfits. If you are prepared to spend a few moments waking Nora up after you first get her home, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at her fluff and go versatility. When this DANCE wig and COLOR ME EXQUISITE wigs arrived, upon removing them from the box they were cute, and the colors were pretty and the best thing they had going for them, However, they didn't look much like the ones the models in the pictures wore. And there is too much perma tease or "fluff" to them. They had really no style to them at all. Especially in the front, just couldn't do much with them. And didn't want to try since being careful with them is a must when trying them on. Very disappointed with these wigs. In my humble opinion they were not great and not keepers. So I am returning them and probably won't buy anymore wigs again. I am completely disappointed with my purchase. I ordered two of this wig because I really like the look of the style in the picture. The wigs I received will not comb into the style shown. The top is spiked and will only stand straight up and the bangs stick straight out and will not lay nicely against the forehead. I tried to tame it down with wig spray and hair gel but it won't lay down. The top hair stands straight up and the bangs stick straight out. The wig will not comb into a nice smooth pixie like the picture shows. I would not recommend a person buy this wig unless you want spiked hair that stands straight up at the top of your head and bangs that stick straight out at your forehead. Nora is a delightful fluff and go style with waves and almost curls. I got it in color 38, which is light ash brown with grey. It is supposed to be light ash brown with 25 percent grey (it seems a bit more than that;) It would be nice if Paula Young had at least one style featured in this color. The ash brown is very close to my natural color (a bit lighter) but Nora has more grey than I do personally. Nora arrived smelling absolutely wretched; I almost gagged when I opened the box. I had to wash the wig immediately. I used Paula Young shampoo. I thought I detected the (fumigant?) odor even after the wash, but when Nora dried, she no longer smelled. When I first put her on after she'd dried she was not pretty and the curls were mashed against the cap. I shook her vigorously and then took a wide tooth comb and really brought the fibers up off the cap. I wasn't rough, but I was deliberate in going over the entire wig to revive the fibers. I was able to achieve a style very similar to the catalog photo. In my photos, Nora has a more shag-like appearance, but once on she can be fluffed to the rounded silhouette of the catalog photo. Nora fits my 22.25 inch head comfortably and could be adjusted to go even a bit larger, or smaller. I find the fibers dry to the touch and just a bit coarser than my own very fine hair (although Nora's fiber does not look coarse.) Nora is comfortable to wear and an adorable style that goes with dressy as well as casual outfits. If you are prepared to spend a few moments waking Nora up after you first get her home, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at her fluff and go versatility. When this DANCE wig and COLOR ME EXQUISITE wigs arrived, upon removing them from the box they were cute, and the colors were pretty and the best thing they had going for them, However, they didn't look much like the ones the models in the pictures wore. And there is too much perma tease or "fluff" to them. They had really no style to them at all. Especially in the front, just couldn't do much with them. And didn't want to try since being careful with them is a must when trying them on. Very disappointed with these wigs. In my humble opinion they were not great and not keepers. So I am returning them and probably won't buy anymore wigs again. Sorry PY but your wigs need to be lighter weight, lay nicer, (some of us like a bit flatter style) far less perma tease or fluff, easier to wear right out of the box…Thanks anyway…Juanita
I am completely disappointed with my purchase. I ordered two of this wig because I really like the look of the style in the picture. The wigs I received will not comb into the style shown. The top is spiked and will only stand straight up and the bangs stick straight out and will not lay nicely against the forehead. I tried to tame it down with wig spray and hair gel but it won't lay down. The top hair stands straight up and the bangs stick straight out. The wig will not comb into a nice smooth pixie like the picture shows. I would not recommend a person buy this wig unless you want spiked hair that stands straight up at the top of your head and bangs that stick straight out at your forehead. The style does not resemble the picture at all !Eve

I love this wig. It looks so natural, and so comfortable on. This is the only one I ever wear. The first time I cut my hair short this was the style I had. So, when I started wearing this wig no one thought anything. They just thought I went back to my short style and love it. It is so easy to maintain. Like the straight look in front, like the layering in back; however, at the very bottom in back, the synthetic fibers or strands should have a curl and not straight effect. After wearing during the day, when look at the bottom, the strands are sticking out and have a messy look. Having hairdresser to try to correct problem in back on bottom.
The wig length and fullness were not well suited for me. The synthetic hair seemed both shorter and less thick than described, especially in the crown area where really needed to make the wig look more like site images and product description. The color was nice, and as expected. The cap fit, but barely. It was difficult to align the sides/ear tabs well enough to allow a fit good enough to make it look more like my natural hair than a wig. Additionally, the right side was shorter, and due to the fit issue I was not inclined to having it trimmed to see if that would improve the look.Sheryl

I purchased these two wigs (Olivia and Felicity) for my college homecoming this past weekend. I waited to try them once I traveled there. To my dismay, neither of them looked like the picture. Both are more dense and Felicity is much shorter than pictured. It is obvious that these wigs are thinned and professionally styled for the models. I ended up wearing the one that I had previously. Additionally, when I purchased the units, they were not advertised as clearance, however, when I called to initiate refund (ensure I was doing refund request correctly…1st time customer) was told that I could only exchange because they were clearance. I love this wig: it's the most comfortable one I have worn to date. Previously all my wigs were Jon Reneau and fine but this one feels like I'm wearing nothing. I get compliments every day and that's new. Could be color though- I just decide to go with medium gray- and it's a change. It washes well, started out possible too shiny but nothing power and wear didn't cure. I'm getting another one so I can give one a break. I have to repeat, this is the most comfortable wig I've ever had.
I've worn wigs off and on forever for fun; sadly, I need to wear them now more out of necessity! This wig is the best I've purchased/worn. I trimmed the bangs a bit but other than that it is perfect. My color is chocolate cherry, which they seem not to offer now; too bad, I'd order another. While I have other wigs, when I wear this one I always receive compliments on my "hair". …..And not for the better. Like other loyal Toni Brattin customers, I too have noticed that the quality of the materials has declined, while the price consistently increases. The wigs are no longer packaged in the signature Toni Brattin box for easy storage, they're in a zip lock bag. But the biggest change is that the fibers used for the "hair" are very soft and lacking texture, and the wigs have less hair, making them difficult for many to style. The cut of the wig is also rather hit and miss, too much or too little hair in various places, and cowlicks in the crown.Fortunately for myself, I'm a licensed hair stylist, so I can handle the problem. Over the years, I've ordered four Trendsetters, And I can see the difference in each one ordered. As long as this wig is available, I will continue to order as it as the best style for me, but I really wish Toni and her manufacturers would address this issue.2MuchTrouble
My Ist purchase was the brown/gray hairpiece duo and I was impressed by the quality and the exact match to my hair color. Easy to wear. I purchased this style because it is my exact haircut when I wear it short. Beautiful package, black and white box with instructions, wig in a net and the stocking cap. The brown/gray is not an option in this style so the brown/blonde was my next choice. Well, I finally tried it on today and all modesty aside, I look absolutely too die for Cute with a capital C adorable and my picky Virgo husband just freaked out in a very good way. The color is incredible, the hair looks exactly like my real hair at every angle. It is pretty easy to put on too. I suffer from overheating and l left it on for around 2 hours at home in AC but in Miami, and forgot I had it on. The stocking cap is not for me so I pinned my shoulder length bob and on the first try l looked as if I had stepped out of the salon. This Cuban 65 year old lady is beyond pleased. I got this wig in light gray. It looked so fake. Very little hair. I have a lot of hair, and would like to stop coloring it, so I wanted to get used to the color. Well, it had half of the amount of hair I have. It felt super fake, like nylon fibers; it didn’t move like natural hair. It obviously look like a wig. Absolutely awful. I’m pretty sure that some wigs I saw on the big online retailer for less than $20, look and feel better than this. Extremely overpriced. Then I remembered that some years ago I had ordered something similar and had returned it because of the same reason. I didn’t learn that time, now I did.
