I think most of the bad reviews is for those who misused it. I have curly high prosperity hair that was damaged of chlorine as I swim for sports. Ever since I started swimming, my hair degraded and become dry and hard to deal with. I received this product few days ago and i applied it two times so far. I like how my hair looks and feels like after using this product and it’s exactly what I was looking for. I use it after shower as a light mask. After I wash my hair, I applied very very small amount after rubbing it with my hands on wet hair-because if otherwise, hair will be greasy as the product is very heavy and oily with strong smell that can be very unpleasant for many-. I covered my hair with plastic cap and applied hot towel for 15 min. I then left my hair to dry without rinsing the product. The hair becomes soft and moisturized and most importantly smells fresh and minty. The smell when small amount of the product is applied is actually very nice once the hair dries out. I didn’t try the product as leave-on conditioner though. I highly recommend conditioned on correct use of the product.iHerb Customer

i'm caucasian with long hair and needed a product that would add moisture and shine to my hair so i gave it a try. it worked well! i put it on wet hair and let it sit for 24 hours. don't put on scalp unless your scalp is dry. it contains petroleum which has gotten a lot of bad press. there are 2 kinds of petroleum-cosmetic grade and "the rest" which can be impure. cosmetic grade petroleum is in our makeup, hair products and many more items. its ability to seal and protect skin and hair is amazing. make sure to wash this out of your hair using sulfate free shampoo (i make my own). i use this once a week. great product!jakeremi

This is the first time I’ve ever written a review! I’ve had this product now for about 2 week or so and I needed something to help moisturize my senegalese twists during this pandemic. This product exceeded my expectations! It’s not too thick but not watery either. It’s a perfect consistency and the spray bottle spritz out nice and even (I’ve had some that broke or was messy and leaked so this was a plus for me!) The product does keep my hair moisturize for a few days too and doesn’t leave it dry or brittle. It makes my hair feel so soft & revived!! My Routine: 1. Spray with plain water first 2. Spray in the leave-in-conditioner (scalp & hair strands twists) 3. Oil/Grease my scalp and my hair strands of the twist I don’t spray in the leave in conditioner everyday. The smell is okay in my opinion. It’s not strong or overbearing; it’s definitely more of a natural scent of the bamboo than I can smell of the coconut (love coconut). But, that’s just my opinion. True test is when I take my twists down and see how my natural hair will be but for now I’m really satisfied. I would repurchase this again. I did my research before purchasing and I’m happy I came across this product and it wasn’t a fail! The shipping cost, ugh, I think we can all agree we hate. I ended up paying about $17 so keep that in mind for your purchase. It took about a week to arrive instead of the 3 days but again we’re in middle of pandemic so it’s a reasonable pass. I'm always looking to try a new product, see what my hair likes and what it doesn't. I tried the apple leave in conditioner first and didn't think I'd find anything better. Then I tried this one and this just might be that one to beat out the apple and aloe leave in. I keep my hair in twists, so I've been looking for a leave in that's light and liquid enough to spray on my twists to keep them hydrated (trying to work in the standard creams just creates frizz and I end up having to retwist everything). I even tried making my own, but I'm not the most crafty type. This is wonderful from the smell, to it's amazing slip, to how well it absorbs into my low porosity hair. This past wash day, I sprayed my hair with it but didn't retwist my hair right away. That was 2 days ago. I started retwisting my hair tonight and it was still soft! No knots! The only thing is the size of the bottle. It's not bad, really, but if you have a ton of hair like me, I suggest getting more than 1 bottle. This is the best brand I have for a hair mask. It’s cheap and great. There’s one for hair growth toooooo. Normally I get that one but hey didn’t have it here to pick. But you can leave it in your hair in the shower and shave and do all your stuff oorrrr leave it on your head with a cap and fold clothes lol I’ve done both.. either way.. ummm wow. My scalp became very red and sensitive after leaving this on for more than a couple hours. I think this is clearly not for thinner & finer curls, but for hair with low porosity. This is the first time I buy a Camille Rose product and I am very satisfied. The oils contained are all natural and are renown for beautifying the hair. I apply every night on my scalp and then I massage in circular motion to help the serum penetrate the follicles and work its magic. It is too early for me to comment on its efficacy in terms of hair growth, but surely it leaves my long, curly, untreated hair shinier and healthier looking. It is a little more expensive than other serums available on iHerb, but I believe it is worth the money because it only contains natural oils (no mineral oils, parabens etc..). Also I like its light, sweet scent which is very unobtrusive. I am planning to try the other Camille Rose products available on iHerb. Omg, this oil is the bees's knees! Holy heavens, it smells like cherry cream soda and is good enough to eat, coming from someone who is extremely sensitive to smells! It is amazing with Ayurvedic, organic ingredients, lightweight and suitable for daily use as a leave in during nightly scalp massages, weekly hot oil treatments or added to a deep conditioning mask. It actually soaks into my low porosity hair type, instead of just staying on the surface and making it oily, which is huge!
