Well, I finally learned my lesson. I cannot purchase clearance items any longer since every time I have, there has been something either wrong with the wig (manufacturing) or something I didn't like and there are no returns. There wasn't anything wrong with this piece. She just had way too much hair and the fibers were so dry they were like straw. It is a beautiful warm color but the density, the permatease and the dry fibers made this difficult to pull off. I thinned it out and tried to tame the permatease but it just didn't work. Plus, the fibers were like doll hair and so that was a dead giveaway. This was the third JR piece and all have pretty dry fibers. Is this normal? This is a cute summer wig for someone who doesn't want permatese. It's low density. I got 22F16 there is not enough dimension for me but I do feel someone looking for a well made no permatese, low density piece would be very happy with it. I did have lots of thick hair & I like some poof on top.I was going to give it away but it is growing on me using dry shampoo,piece out & hair spray. Even tho it's symmetrical you can achieve a asymmetrical look with some tucking. I have noticed many reviews/comments on various pieces that I feel expectations are often unrealistic. Let's face it we all don't look like the beautiful ladies,Eileen,Marlen or Taz much less the models. I have found often if I think I don't like something if I change my makeup,color I'm wearing wait a few days,wear it around the house,often one I thought I would send back grows on me. This is the first time for getting such an expensive wig and it's worth it. Completely handmade cap such as what you would see on JR human hair wigs. I am so happy with this wig I think it's absolutely worth every penny! It's comfortable, soft, and it feels and looks very natural. When I started my chemo I bought a very expensive, human hair, skin top wig and I was devastated. The hair was soft but the wig was uncomfortable, heavy, I felt I couldn't move and overall it was obvious I was wearing a wig ,a sad wig which wouldn't let me forget for one second that I was sick. Wen I got my Tony of Beverly I could not believe it! It fits perfectly, it looks so much more natural, it is light, it moves, I forget I have it on, I want to sleep with it! I bought this wig because as I got older I found my frizzy, unruly hair more and more difficult to manage. With arthritis straightening my hair was a big job. How fantastic it is to be able to put this gorgeous wig on. It is practically completely hand tied, so looks so natural-it is the hair I would have if I could straighten my hair everyday. The colour is also very natural, I just wish it was done in human hair and without bangs – but when was life ever perfect! This is about as good as it gets with a synthetic wig (OK it is a bit shiny) but this degree of hand tied cap doesn't come along often enough on synthetics. I wish other wig makers would take notice and give us a few more because at the moment I don't find myself spoilt for choice, as I am truly fed up of cheap looking weft wigs. This is a cute summer wig for someone who doesn't want permatese. It's low density. I got 22F16 there is not enough dimension for me but I do feel someone looking for a well made no permatese, low density piece would be very happy with it. I did have lots of thick hair & I like some poof on top.I was going to give it away but it is growing on me using dry shampoo,piece out & hair spray. Even tho it's symmetrical you can achieve a asymmetrical look with some tucking. I have noticed many reviews/comments on various pieces that I feel expectations are often unrealistic. Let's face it we all don't look like the beautiful ladies,Eileen,Marlen or Taz much less the models. I have found often if I think I don't like something if I change my makeup,color I'm wearing wait a few days,wear it around the house,often one I thought I would send back grows on me. Also often they just need a bit of tweaking with a small trim here & there to make it my own. I imagine very few can just take most of them out of the box with INSTANT SUCCESS ! Even I expected it at 1st & being a Master Stylist (retired) should have known better. I guess what I'm trying to say to all those who are new like me is to be patient.S N.

Such a cute style and super easy to style into place. It has the perfect amount of hair to be believable. No wiggy looking wig here! The hair is silky and does not tangle. I found this wig well worth it. It is a little warm on the head so may not want to wear in hot weather. Great for the winter!

The Amber wig is so soft and beautiful. The length is perfect and I receive compliments every time I wear her. I ordered two during the Black Friday sale for $$89.12 each which was a fantastic buy especially since the price has increased by $35. Hopefully it will go on sale again for that price. The tag stated tangle free ; however mine tangle at the nape every time I wear them which requires detangling after wearing. They also shed a lot so I don’t know whether I got over to a bad set. Amber is a beautiful human hair wig and I receive many compliments when wearing it. The front lace gives the illusion of natural scalp and the length is perfect. As far as cons, it is difficult to retain its curls after washing and it sheds a bit. Although it is human hair, it’s not as soft as Remi hair. All in all it is a beautiful wig.Binky
This wig I've been wearing for years it's the only wig I do wear. I find it washes well with very little shedding. I've noticed a few comments on the upkeep of this particular unit so want to share how I look after mine. I always wash it on a wig head, I shampoo it not but rubbing it buy I take my hands and in a downward motion I smooth the shampoo on it, I use a non phosphate shampoo, I then saturate the wig with conditioner, let it stand for 10 mins, then with conditioner still on the wig I will put it in hot water leaving it until water gets cool I then put the wig back on the wig head and rinse the conditioner out making sure not to rinse all the conditioner out. I roll the wig in a towel pressing excessive water out, put it back on my wig head to let it dry. After the wig is dry I shake it out before putting it on and put Herbal Hawaiian Silky Mousse in it and style. I never comb it I use my fingers The only one little thing I find is like all wavy or curl wigs it will tangle at the back from it rubbing against your collars, when I put something on with a collar I part in the back with my fingers and bring it towards the front this prevents it from rubbing and tangling. If I were to rate this wig 1 being the lowest 10 being the highest I would honestly give it a 10 because mine last for a couple of years. this is the second sf2216 wig I ordered to replace the first one and neither on look like is pictured on your site. There is not any blonde or white highlights in either wig. I purchased this style because it fits my personal look! I loved it and wore in when first introduced on this site! The color was perfect. However, it really wears out fast! I take care of my wigs and asked a ""true"" hair stylist for advice on how to get maximum life out of wigs and hairpieces! So I followed instructions. But after two months; this wig was completely finished! IF you purchase, don't extpect to have this very long if you wear it everyday! (I washed once a week to remove environment pollution and perspiration)So if you wear as I did, it will start matting up after about the third wash and the curls refuse to smooth out. The wig hair was sooo thin at the crown that I could see thru to my scalp. No matter how often I blow dryer-brushed, the hair never flattened as advertised. I bought this wig right out of a catalog. When I saw it, I thought that it would be a fantastic style to wear at ""MY WEDDING"". The price was right too, $49.99. I bought style number: Z2543, with color number: FS1B30. My ""HILARY WIG"" was loosely curled. I was furious. It reminded me of a wig I had seen on the ACTRESS ""JOAN COLLINS"", ON THE COVER OF HER NOVEL. There I was in my ""JOAN COLLINS"" LOOK, ready to cry. Everyone thought that I was beautiful. Well, I finally learned my lesson. I cannot purchase clearance items any longer since every time I have, there has been something either wrong with the wig (manufacturing) or something I didn't like and there are no returns. There wasn't anything wrong with this piece. She just had way too much hair and the fibers were so dry they were like straw. It is a beautiful warm color but the density, the permatease and the dry fibers made this difficult to pull off. I thinned it out and tried to tame the permatease but it just didn't work. Plus, the fibers were like doll hair and so that was a dead giveaway. This was the third JR piece and all have pretty dry fibers. Is this normal? I am a first time buyer, trying to figure out what fits and how to wear the wigs. I ordered 3 wigs in this first order, and two of them I can adjust and work with. But "Gwen" has very short hair and it looks nothing like the pictures! I had it on my head for a few seconds and couldn't stand the very short hair with no shape at all. It looked like a hedgehog, The color is nice, but this wig is too small, too short hair for my plus size figure: Gwen Wig by Jon Renau STRAWBERRY BLONDE AND WARM PLATINUM BLONDE BLENDED & TIPPED W STRAWBERRY BLONDE NAPE (27T613F). In all fairness, I only had it on my head a few seconds and took it off right away, I didn't try to make it look better, afraid to ruin the chance for return. It might be ok for someone else, but at 62 yrs old and plus size figure, that little wig was not even funny! I filled out the return label for "Gwen" but keeping the other two, with medium length hair: "Blushing Beauty" Wig by Gabor | Mono Part GL16/27 and the "Salsa" Wig by Raquel Welch | Large Cap R14/88H Golden Wheat.
