Beautiful is the compliments I get when I wear this one!! It's one of my favorites. I am hooked on the Jaclyn Smith wigs because they are so much more softer feeling than any of the whisperlite wigs. This one has a ton of hair on which made it feel heavier. But once I took a pair of thinning shears to it, it felt so much lighter yet still have that fullness to it. It's a very nice wig. And from now on I will only buy the Jaclyn Smith brand. Until I win the lottery anyways lol. I just ordered my 1st human hair wig, but not from here. They are more expensive here. Thanks to the experienced experts on YouTube, I am Learning more and more about wigs, on how to's of washing them to keeping them kept in sealed bags to thinning them out. I ain't rich and I don't have a hair stylist near me who is willing to cut them , so I have to learn how to take care of them by those ladies on YouTube who have years and years of experience and don't mind sharing their advice (free of charge) to newbies like me. Have bought 10 wigs now, to hold me while my hair (hopefully) grows back after a crash diet and stress. This is probably my least favorite, and that includes cheapies on Amazon that pleasantly surprised me. My head is small, between petite and average, but I always wear average. Head is short, so wigs always look longer on my than in the pic. This one, oddly enough, it toooo tight. it pulls up drastically in the back, with or without a wig cap, and pulls on my ear. (If I don't pull it over the ears, it's poofy, like it's just sitting on top of my head and about to fall off.) It's off on one side so that it pulls up on that side more. Yes, the bangs are too thick — the whole wig's too thick. Had to do my best to thin out from underneath (live rural, without stylists around), which, of course, considering the material, left tiny hairs sticking up, although I tried to just thin the bottom layers. Actually, little hairs stand up on it from brushing against the back of a chair or just from wearing. Constantly have to clip them off. The color is carrot red, and with this long and loose style and thickness, it's more obvious than in other styles. I expected reddish brown, but this is almost strawberry. So all in all, I'm happier with my others. This is wearable, but I stopped thinning without doing the bangs (bad enough having those little hairs all over elsewhere), and the top still looks ""wig-poofy."" When I run my hands over it, it feels rough, from all the little hairs. Plus, had to completely undo the tabs to make it stay down…and the tabs had tons of hair stuck to them and coming through the web to the outside that was impossible to pull out and correct, so had to just cut it so it wouldn't keep getting stuck to the Velcro. More acceptable if it was a $49 dollar one, but esp not for $79. Have had better luck with others, so will be ordering again, a different style (not J.S. With all the clipping of little hairs sticking up, this one may not last long!Vladdy

I was promised by PaulaYoung catalog and notice that arrived with the 2 wigs I ordered that I would get a full refund if wigs were not right for me. I sent these back within 3 days of there arrival in all good faith There is no refund on my credit card bill. Now I have to go through the whole process of denying these purchases through my credit card company. Your policy is to offer and not follow through is in fact illegal. I already have a PY topper in 56-Silver which is a lovely grey/brown/black blend purchased in May 2020. My recent purchase of the Ryan wig in 56-Silver is 100% silver in color and nothing like the piece I already have. The box is marked correctly as a 56- Silver however there obviously was a packing error or very obvious color/formula change since May 2020. CS offered up empty apologies & will charge me $9.00 return shipping PLUS $19.00 restocking fee. No thanks. Lesson learned. I thought I was getting a two for one deal the ad confused me my problems with the wig is I don’t have any hair hardly I suffer with staph in my hair from hurricanes in Louisiana . Haveing no cure I can’t grow hair. So when I put the wig on I have no hair under the wig to attach a Bobby pins to so I measured my head but because I don’t have an exact attach to my own head the wig is always sliding up . An also in addition to the wig on Staying on. I have ordered this wig probably 30 times. For the first time I'm totally unsatisfied. I have no hair because I suffer with alopecia areata. I received my hairdoo in the mail and removed all the tags from it and proceeded to put it on. When it was put together the front hair was completely assembled wrong. I've tried to wear it twice and the hair goes straight down in my face. Quality control must of been sleeping on the job. I received this wig – # A1228, Meg Whisperlite Petit in SF 51/60. I returned it because it appeared to have been a return. It was thinned out or trimmed in some way that completely changed the style. I ordered and paid for a new wig. I own 7 of these wigs in this style, color and size, so I know what they should look like. I was very disappointed. This is actually the second time this has happened to me, but this time instead of trying to make the best of it and use something I was not happy with, I returned it for an exchange. I don’t think I should have to pay any restock charge or any other charge for this return. It was your fault in sending me a defective wig, not mine. This order is yet another attempt to find something that is wearable from PY. I bought 2 of these Meg wigs in different colors, and sent back the Lt Blonde, it looked like a light bulb on my head. The other one in Platinum blonde looks like a barbie dolls hair. I powdered it but it still glows. I paid my hair dresser to cut it down, and I trimmed it again. Pro: This order looked new, unworn. (My first looked very worn, I returned it.) Cons: Netting in front shows unless you plaster hair down just right. Sides & back are way too thick. Mine's been trimmed 2 times and it's still too much. The picture shows the hair off the neck, but after wearing the wig for 6 hours, my neck & upper back where the hair rubbed it was red and sore from the scratchy synthetic hair. I used the wrap band to keep it in place, and knew the wig made me extremely hot but when I took the wig off, my whole head was a sweaty mess. I haven't worn it since. I hate it. I ordered 2 Wiglets 7 days ago, in Humane Hair to see if that can work. They were suppose to "arrive no later than 4pm today," but no show. (I've come to NOT rely on this company's word though. You’ve changed the Meg wig, and not for the better. I bought this wig in 2015 and I loved it. Last year my sister bought the same wig. She came to my house with it, not happy. Saying differs than one I bought. I didn’t think she was right then. I do now, after recently buying again. It’s shorter. And let me say, I got a recent catalog, saw many I liked. Nora is a delightful fluff and go style with waves and almost curls. I got it in color 38, which is light ash brown with grey. It is supposed to be light ash brown with 25 percent grey (it seems a bit more than that;) It would be nice if Paula Young had at least one style featured in this color. The ash brown is very close to my natural color (a bit lighter) but Nora has more grey than I do personally. Nora arrived smelling absolutely wretched; I almost gagged when I opened the box. I had to wash the wig immediately. I used Paula Young shampoo. I thought I detected the (fumigant?) odor even after the wash, but when Nora dried, she no longer smelled. When I first put her on after she'd dried she was not pretty and the curls were mashed against the cap. I shook her vigorously and then took a wide tooth comb and really brought the fibers up off the cap. I wasn't rough, but I was deliberate in going over the entire wig to revive the fibers. I was able to achieve a style very similar to the catalog photo. In my photos, Nora has a more shag-like appearance, but once on she can be fluffed to the rounded silhouette of the catalog photo. Nora fits my 22.25 inch head comfortably and could be adjusted to go even a bit larger, or smaller. I find the fibers dry to the touch and just a bit coarser than my own very fine hair (although Nora's fiber does not look coarse.) Nora is comfortable to wear and an adorable style that goes with dressy as well as casual outfits. If you are prepared to spend a few moments waking Nora up after you first get her home, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at her fluff and go versatility. When this DANCE wig and COLOR ME EXQUISITE wigs arrived, upon removing them from the box they were cute, and the colors were pretty and the best thing they had going for them, However, they didn't look much like the ones the models in the pictures wore. And there is too much perma tease or "fluff" to them. They had really no style to them at all. Especially in the front, just couldn't do much with them. And didn't want to try since being careful with them is a must when trying them on. Very disappointed with these wigs. In my humble opinion they were not great and not keepers. So I am returning them and probably won't buy anymore wigs again. I am completely disappointed with my purchase. I ordered two of this wig because I really like the look of the style in the picture. The wigs I received will not comb into the style shown. The top is spiked and will only stand straight up and the bangs stick straight out and will not lay nicely against the forehead. I tried to tame it down with wig spray and hair gel but it won't lay down. The top hair stands straight up and the bangs stick straight out. The wig will not comb into a nice smooth pixie like the picture shows. I would not recommend a person buy this wig unless you want spiked hair that stands straight up at the top of your head and bangs that stick straight out at your forehead. When this DANCE wig and COLOR ME EXQUISITE wigs arrived, upon removing them from the box they were cute, and the colors were pretty and the best thing they had going for them, However, they didn't look much like the ones the models in the pictures wore. And there is too much perma tease or "fluff" to them. They had really no style to them at all. Especially in the front, just couldn't do much with them. And didn't want to try since being careful with them is a must when trying them on. Very disappointed with these wigs. In my humble opinion they were not great and not keepers. So I am returning them and probably won't buy anymore wigs again. The top is spiked and will only stand straight up and the bangs stick straight out and will not lay nicely against the forehead. I tried to tame it down with wig spray and hair gel but it won't lay down. The top hair stands straight up and the bangs stick straight out. The wig will not comb into a nice smooth pixie like the picture shows. I would not recommend a person buy this wig unless you want spiked hair that stands straight up at the top of your head and bangs that stick straight out at your forehead. I already have a PY topper in 56-Silver which is a lovely grey/brown/black blend purchased in May 2020. My recent purchase of the Ryan wig in 56-Silver is 100% silver in color and nothing like the piece I already have. The box is marked correctly as a 56- Silver however there obviously was a packing error or very obvious color/formula change since May 2020. CS offered up empty apologies & will charge me $9.00 return shipping PLUS $19.00 restocking fee. No thanks. Lesson learned. I thought I was getting a two for one deal the ad confused me my problems with the wig is I don’t have any hair hardly I suffer with staph in my hair from hurricanes in Louisiana . Haveing no cure I can’t grow hair. So when I put the wig on I have no hair under the wig to attach a Bobby pins to so I measured my head but because I don’t have an exact attach to my own head the wig is always sliding up . An also in addition to the wig on Staying on. No ways to protect the wig from getting the bacteria staph , on the wig hair like a light silk inside the hair that have a light snap that would give the wig to stay on. Now it was a Paula jones wig what I did like a lot was the fact that the wig didn’t have to Hair even though I can’t grow hair the Paula jones wig gets an AAA for not having too Hair so a lot of people who are small like me don’t have very thick hair. I returned the Malibu Waves wig because it reeked of a gasoline smell. The smell was so strong and so overwhelming that I had to open the windows to air out the room after I had removed the wig from the box and then go outside on the porch to catch my breath. I don't know if the wig had been washed in a toxic smelling chemical or if the materials used to make the wig just smelled like that. I called the company and the first customer service rep I spoke with told me I would be charged a return fee to send the wig back. I asked why I would be charged a fee to return obviously defective merchandise, and she just kept repeating that I had to pay the return fee. I then asked to speak to a manager, who was very nice and assured me that my full purchase price would be refunded when the wig was returned.Ruth
I absolutely love Malibu Waves! The color, Auburn Sugar rooted is so beautiful. I get compliments all day long. Its soft and so easy to style. Just give it a shake and run your fingers through and you're out the door. The only problem is the shipping time is so slow with Paula Young. I was disappointed with my purchase of Malibu Waves. It did not look like the model pictures with curl showing on top of crown and in bang area. The curl is concentrated on the bottom of wig mostly. Their is too much hair in crown and framing the face and has little wave. I had to modify (thin) the unit quite a lot & is still too much hair to look natural. I’m still working with it but this unit will never be an easy go to out of box style. I will also have to steam the still too heavy front hairline around face to keep from flopping in face continually. This baby needs a lot of work and disappointed i paid too much & have to put so much alterations into it to get it less wiggy looking. I do however love the rooted silver color. In contrast, your Mya with loose beachy waves wig i could wear right out of the box with absolutely no work or alterations. And does not look too full, unnatural or wiggy. This style would be fabulous if you added a lace front version (BUT DON’T REPLACE) the non lace version for those of us that want the price break & comfort of a non lace. Although I love the style in the photo, the wig I received is a bit unruly. She has tons of permatease and wants to fly out the sides in the back in a way that is not attractive. The photos show her right out of the box. I have tried to work with her without much success. I am taking her to my hairdresser next week to see what she can do to help. that said, the color is fantastic and the fiber of the "hair" is very soft and feels more like actual hair than any other wig I own. My hair is very thin and the top is the worst. I love how I feel while wearing this wig! I posted a picture on Facebook and received so many compliments and likes. And no one even asked if it was a wig. The only problem I have is that it keep rising up. Sometimes I need to put a clip in it to keep it snug. Nora is a delightful fluff and go style with waves and almost curls. I got it in color 38, which is light ash brown with grey. It is supposed to be light ash brown with 25 percent grey (it seems a bit more than that;) It would be nice if Paula Young had at least one style featured in this color. The ash brown is very close to my natural color (a bit lighter) but Nora has more grey than I do personally. Nora arrived smelling absolutely wretched; I almost gagged when I opened the box. I had to wash the wig immediately. I used Paula Young shampoo. I thought I detected the (fumigant?) odor even after the wash, but when Nora dried, she no longer smelled. When I first put her on after she'd dried she was not pretty and the curls were mashed against the cap. I shook her vigorously and then took a wide tooth comb and really brought the fibers up off the cap. I wasn't rough, but I was deliberate in going over the entire wig to revive the fibers. I was able to achieve a style very similar to the catalog photo. In my photos, Nora has a more shag-like appearance, but once on she can be fluffed to the rounded silhouette of the catalog photo. Nora fits my 22.25 inch head comfortably and could be adjusted to go even a bit larger, or smaller. Nora is a delightful fluff and go style with waves and almost curls. I got it in color 38, which is light ash brown with grey. It is supposed to be light ash brown with 25 percent grey (it seems a bit more than that;) It would be nice if Paula Young had at least one style featured in this color. The ash brown is very close to my natural color (a bit lighter) but Nora has more grey than I do personally. Nora arrived smelling absolutely wretched; I almost gagged when I opened the box. I had to wash the wig immediately. I used Paula Young shampoo. I thought I detected the (fumigant?) odor even after the wash, but when Nora dried, she no longer smelled. When I first put her on after she'd dried she was not pretty and the curls were mashed against the cap. I shook her vigorously and then took a wide tooth comb and really brought the fibers up off the cap. I wasn't rough, but I was deliberate in going over the entire wig to revive the fibers. I was able to achieve a style very similar to the catalog photo. In my photos, Nora has a more shag-like appearance, but once on she can be fluffed to the rounded silhouette of the catalog photo. Nora fits my 22.25 inch head comfortably and could be adjusted to go even a bit larger, or smaller. I find the fibers dry to the touch and just a bit coarser than my own very fine hair (although Nora's fiber does not look coarse.) Nora is comfortable to wear and an adorable style that goes with dressy as well as casual outfits. If you are prepared to spend a few moments waking Nora up after you first get her home, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at her fluff and go versatility. When this DANCE wig and COLOR ME EXQUISITE wigs arrived, upon removing them from the box they were cute, and the colors were pretty and the best thing they had going for them, However, they didn't look much like the ones the models in the pictures wore. And there is too much perma tease or "fluff" to them. They had really no style to them at all. Especially in the front, just couldn't do much with them. I was ill when the order arrived. So my neighbor got it for me and said the box was ripped. I took pictures when I got it from her. My hair is mostly brown with some gray. The wigs were mostly gray and, even after shaking, looked nothing like what I had ordered. I also ordered a bamboo wig cap and brush and comb set. They were NOT included in the box or, may have fallen out or been taken out, due to the rips!! It also looked like someone had retapped the box, as the tape was a different type. I love the wig. Bought it to replace my real hair that I lost during chemo. Very realistic and lightweight for summer. I can actually put it up in a clip like I could with my real hair. Some reviews stated the hair was too thin but I think they think that because it's layered. Actually, that's why I like it so much. The only reason I gave it a 4 was because I had to wait four weeks to receive it and I was unaware of this until I called PY to find out why it was taking so long. I was not aware when I ordered it. However, I'm a happy camper now!Angela
The Long Color Me Beautiful is a pretty style. It is no way as curly as it looks in the picture which was fine with me. It has softer waves. I have worn it several times, but now I find that the style has loosened up and has lost it's shape. I have ordered three wigs at a time and each one has a slightly different styling. I have worn PY wigs since 2003 and they no longer seem to hold up as well. I also wish they had more styles in the petite size. The average is much too large for me. Evidently PY thinks that people with smaller heads or thinner hair should only wear neck-line or short wigs as those are the only styles that come in petite.Bobbie

I was really looking forward to getting this, my very first topper, but I was very disappointed. The color is much darker than the hair scrunchie I'd gotten from Paula Young in the same color number (18), that matched my hair really well. Unlike what the picture indicates, it is completely flat, I mean totally FLAT against the head and impossible to tease to give it some ""lift"" even using hair spray to lessen its slippery texture. It looks like it's been glued flat to my head! The hair is forward facing which makes it thinner in the back than on the sides and looks odd on the top. The back of the top has a cowlick which lays wrong and looks very unnatural. It just seems like the hair was put on wrong and it either ended or began at that back point (cowlick) that's so ""twisted"". It's terribly shiny, but that's the easiest thing to remedy. The thing I do like about it is that it isn't overly thick, doesen't look so unnatural in that aspect for someone who doesn't have thick hair and doesn't want a thick hair piece that would be obvious to anyone who knows you. Because I got it on sale, I understand it can't be returned or exchanged for another piece, so I'm stuck with it. Even at the sale price of $40, I can't afford to just put it in a drawer and forget it or buy another one, so I'm trying to come up with a way I can use it. maybe under a cap or attached to a wide head band or head scarf, some way I can disguise the odd lay of the hair and still make use of it. Overall, it has good reviews which is why I decided to buy it. It's possible I just got a bad one that slipped through quality control, I don't know, but I wouldn't buy it again and wouldn't feel comfortable in recommending it to anyone else.
I am grateful for my salt & pepper topper. No one ever knows when I am wearing it and I always get complimented on how pretty my hair is. The reason for only 4 stars is the style is opposite the cut of my hair. My hair is short in the back and long in the front, so I have to wear it backwards. Funny, but it’s perfect. There are no salt & pepper toppers to accommodate the short back to long in front styles. Still, this is so pretty and comfortable and natural looking. Makes me feel pretty! I only hope for more topper styles for us who are not quite totally grey/silver.Deborah
I bought 2 other same toppers in the past, but this one is much thinner in the back. It seems to lay flatter than my previous toppers. I wish Paula Young would make more toppers because they are much cooler to wear in the summer because the cap is smaller and not on the whole head like a full wig. The "wiglets" are for smaller areas and never matched as well as a whole topper that hangs all the way down for total coverage. I still like Paula Young products but this topper was not as expected.Carol
