I mainly purchased this unit because I wanted a little more length at the top. When I first purchased the Mommy wig before it became super popular a few years ago it was constructed so much better. It's thin in the front with tracks sewn weirdly. I had my original to compare. They mostly look like rush jobs. I thought the Mommy II would be better and closer to the original. It has longer lengths on each side which is what I was looking for. However the cap is bigger than the regular mommy wig and I found it too hard to work with. I trimmed the edges and dyed it and it looked nice but I have a small head so I found it just too awkward. I will stick with the Mommy original for a short style. Its not as snug of a fit and I couldn't make it work. Not a bad wig if you have a medium to large head but not really for small heads. Though it depends how you wear it.C M.
Didn't Use It. I love the Mommy Wig but I've gotten it in 4/30, 4/24 and 4/27/30 No one has these colors, but I trust and used Ebonyline always. I ordered this hopping that the color would work. I like the cut and color (Oyster) of this wig. It's easy to wear (once my stylist trimmed the bangs away from my face). The lace front however, has dark spots that are visible to others in daylight. This adorable bob is so fun and perfect for summer. It's my first blonde wig so I decided to try the 12FS8 Shaded Praline. I usually wear brunette colors and the dark root is a easy way to transition to the blondes! Ignite is SO SOFT the HD fibers are beautiful and not as much shine as the regular synthetic fibers. I have not used any heat on her yet because the cut is so perfect the way it is. Ear tabs are a little short on me and this only matters because I have a shaved head so I like the coverage, but the style frames the face in a great way that it works. Nora is a delightful fluff and go style with waves and almost curls. I got it in color 38, which is light ash brown with grey. It is supposed to be light ash brown with 25 percent grey (it seems a bit more than that;) It would be nice if Paula Young had at least one style featured in this color. The ash brown is very close to my natural color (a bit lighter) but Nora has more grey than I do personally. Nora arrived smelling absolutely wretched; I almost gagged when I opened the box. I had to wash the wig immediately. I used Paula Young shampoo. I thought I detected the (fumigant?) odor even after the wash, but when Nora dried, she no longer smelled. When I first put her on after she'd dried she was not pretty and the curls were mashed against the cap. I shook her vigorously and then took a wide tooth comb and really brought the fibers up off the cap. I wasn't rough, but I was deliberate in going over the entire wig to revive the fibers. I was able to achieve a style very similar to the catalog photo. In my photos, Nora has a more shag-like appearance, but once on she can be fluffed to the rounded silhouette of the catalog photo. Nora fits my 22.25 inch head comfortably and could be adjusted to go even a bit larger, or smaller. I find the fibers dry to the touch and just a bit coarser than my own very fine hair (although Nora's fiber does not look coarse.) Nora is comfortable to wear and an adorable style that goes with dressy as well as casual outfits. If you are prepared to spend a few moments waking Nora up after you first get her home, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at her fluff and go versatility. When this DANCE wig and COLOR ME EXQUISITE wigs arrived, upon removing them from the box they were cute, and the colors were pretty and the best thing they had going for them, However, they didn't look much like the ones the models in the pictures wore. And there is too much perma tease or "fluff" to them. They had really no style to them at all. Especially in the front, just couldn't do much with them. And didn't want to try since being careful with them is a must when trying them on. Very disappointed with these wigs. In my humble opinion they were not great and not keepers. So I am returning them and probably won't buy anymore wigs again. Sorry PY but your wigs need to be lighter weight, lay nicer, (some of us like a bit flatter style) far less perma tease or fluff, easier to wear right out of the box…Thanks anyway…Juanita
I am completely disappointed with my purchase. I ordered two of this wig because I really like the look of the style in the picture. The wigs I received will not comb into the style shown. The top is spiked and will only stand straight up and the bangs stick straight out and will not lay nicely against the forehead. I tried to tame it down with wig spray and hair gel but it won't lay down. The top hair stands straight up and the bangs stick straight out. The wig will not comb into a nice smooth pixie like the picture shows. I would not recommend a person buy this wig unless you want spiked hair that stands straight up at the top of your head and bangs that stick straight out at your forehead. When I saw a picture of this wig, I thought to myself "finally!" This is the style I have been looking for for a while, short, straight, not too much hair, an Ignite but with a longer back. Unfortunately, this wig has a very small cap. It cannot possibly be average size. Average size fits usually lose on my head and this wig I could barely squeeze on. Secondly, it has no lace front. I am too used by now to wearing a lace front monofilament to feel comfortable wearing a wig without. I guess this is what you get for the price. I wanted a shorter piece for the summer and, after wearing this for just a week, this may be the best wig I've had so far (I've been wearing them for about five years now). The first big pro I found with it is that, once I shook it out and combed it a bit, it was ready to wear without much fuss. Most of the wigs I have, I've had to play with them for a while until I got them to look less like a wig and more like natural hair. Which is why my second pro is that there is no obvious lining at the front hairline of this wig so there was no finagling it to try hide the mesh piece along my natural hairline that can sometimes be a hassle. Also the texture of the hair is so soft, it's fun to just fluff it up with my fingers sometimes. This was really a wear right out of the box experience like I haven't had before. I ordered the Allure Petite 24B/27C and will honestly say, this is one of the WORST wigs ever! I have purchased many wigs with no success, but clearly, this is the worst. When I pulled it out of the box, I immediately knew this would NOT work. It looked like someone slipped in a mess of orange curls which looked like a small toupee or hairpiece, not a full-size wig. It looked like Annie with the curls. I do not do curls! What is up with this? The photo shows no curls so why all the curls? Next, it was so small I could not even fit it over my petite head or my bio pixie cut. I have bio gold and blond hair and nothing like it. Stay away unless you like very short curly hair with unnatural fibers and style. RETURNED!!! Would never recommend this wig to anyone.Judy D.
I was extremely dissappointed and already sent a comment yesterday..mainly style was not to my liking and color was incorrect. I had already cut the label and tried it on so I guess I cant return it. First time I ordered online and will not do so again. You cant tell unless it is tried on. color is BLACK and not dark brown. I own wigs and dark brown is just that. What was sent to me was shoepolish black and very dark. Order was a wasted purchase….very disappointed.Sandra D.
I have a petite head and this fits perfectly. The style is so cute and easy to style. It won’t need a trim. I just used a little wig spray st the roots all around and it gave lots of body. I got 101F48T. My bio hair is light brown with some gray and light blonde so the match is perfect, only better than my own hair. I’m very happy.Voncille C.
