I love Kristen FS26/31S6. It is my go to wig. I have my bio hair but due to Chronic illness, it wears me out to fix it. Bio hair is also very very thin on top now. I would give her 5 stars… however for me, the lace does irritate the skin after a couple hours. I am a redhead with very sensitive skin. Omg.. how come I did not know about this website?! I wasted hundreds of dollars over cheap wigs from nearby stores to my house😖 After finding out about this online store a couple weeks ago, I finally decided to give it a try… although pricey, but tbh- these wigs hold their value at that price. You can barely tell it’s a wig! It looks super natural! It’s super soft! I just love it like a pet! 😂 One downside I would say is that it’s very sensitive to heat… I wore it the first day, and I was baking some goodies… and I opened the oven up and hot air swooshed in my face and I heard my poor new wig crunch! I own many Kristens in different colors. Really a great style and comfortable cap. I had a really hard time debating on Kristen and Jamison and now that I have both I must say I much prefer Kristen. The face framing layers are great on my round face. I am sure the permatease is mentioned in many reviews and yes it's there but it's not bad. Rather than trying to press it down if you use a wide tooth comb to lift the hair up you won't really see it. Well, I finally learned my lesson. I cannot purchase clearance items any longer since every time I have, there has been something either wrong with the wig (manufacturing) or something I didn't like and there are no returns. There wasn't anything wrong with this piece. She just had way too much hair and the fibers were so dry they were like straw. It is a beautiful warm color but the density, the permatease and the dry fibers made this difficult to pull off. I thinned it out and tried to tame the permatease but it just didn't work. Plus, the fibers were like doll hair and so that was a dead giveaway. This was the third JR piece and all have pretty dry fibers. Is this normal? I did receive the piece quickly and as always WS1 is around to answer any questions.E.N.

Those two are a bit large and I need to learn to adjust the tabs in the back, and I also need to figure out from the videos how to "style" them with my fingers so they look good for me. I got 22F16 there is not enough dimension for me but I do feel someone looking for a well made no permatese, low density piece would be very happy with it. I did have lots of thick hair & I like some poof on top.I was going to give it away but it is growing on me using dry shampoo,piece out & hair spray. Even tho it's symmetrical you can achieve a asymmetrical look with some tucking. I have noticed many reviews/comments on various pieces that I feel expectations are often unrealistic. Let's face it we all don't look like the beautiful ladies,Eileen,Marlen or Taz much less the models. I have found often if I think I don't like something if I change my makeup,color I'm wearing wait a few days,wear it around the house,often one I thought I would send back grows on me. Also often they just need a bit of tweaking with a small trim here & there to make it my own. I imagine very few can just take most of them out of the box with INSTANT SUCCESS ! After a hysterectomy & menopause that followed resulting in 1/4 of my hair gradually thinning and trying every supplement including PRP treatments I realized preserving the hair I had was the focus, since after 5yrs and thousands of dollars later, the hair that had thinned was not going to grow back. I work in the medical field, at an Oncology / Bone Marrow Transplant Center so the topic of wigs is something I'm very familiar with. Many of the patients I work with rave about Jon Ranau wigs so I figured I'd give that brand a try. I've purchased a couple so far to ensure I have a new backup always on hand and plan to venture into other styles & colors but so far I'm extremely pleased with the quality of the cap/top & synthetic hair, style & color and it's so easy to maintain!
The wig was already thinning in the front when I got it and I can't hide this with bio hair because the lace is too long (can't cut the lace because it is the only thing gripping the front, there are no clips). I don't recommend this piece for people with small/low foreheads, maybe if you are completely bald with no bio hair it might work for you but not if you have pale skin because the knots are very dark and the lace is tan. I tried to straighten the hair on low heat and it made a melting smell, I question if all the hair is real. The cap is also extremely itchy and the lace is not soft (because the lace grips) so it is uncomfortable when it sits on my forehead. I would need to sew in clips and then seal off the lace so it doesn't unravel when trimmed, but for $2000 I would expect this to be of better quality. I own many wigs and hair toppers, I am always disappointed in Jon Renau but I took a risk because I liked the color. The Jon Renau brand is not carried much anymore because their pieces are just not worth the price. I am just going to have to stick with Uniwigs because at least I know what to expect and they are keeping up with the trends for comfort and affordability.LS
The hair piece is nicely made and the color was spot-on. I really, really wanted to like this wig. My overall problem was the style… and was in a few of the reviews I had read prior. The front part was over bearing and so much so that it wouldn't stay out of my face…. almost like there was too much hair. While I didn't try to style the piece or trim to see if that would make a difference (didn't want to do anything in case I returned, which I did), so it's possible I could have made it work. But I just couldn't get past the front portion of the wig and all the volume; I couldn't figure out what to do with it! I am not new to hair pieces, wigs and extension pony-tails so I am aware that some effort is-or-might be necessary, etc., but it simply just looked fake on me. I only deducted 1 Star because it might have been fixable but $300.++ I didn't want to take that chance so I returned. But overall, the wig is pretty and the cap is comfy. Good luck!Susie
