Reviews:
I've had my second Elizabeth wig for 2 years (worn once or twice a week), I think I bought the first one about 3 years ago (worn about once a week – or less as I wasn't crazy about the color). I had terrible matting like many have described, but got fairly good results (although time consuming) with steam – because the steam straightens the hair, so you have to style it again, too. But the older they got, the texture seemed to change, the steaming did not work as well or last as long and I knew I would have to find a solution in order to keep on wearing them. So, after a ton of research I've found what works for me: 100% silicone spray, Woolite Delicates and free and clear fabric softener. My wigs look and feel restored and I haven't had to steam them since I started this method – although I do think I may still steam them ever so often to straighten any crooked fibers. After wearing if there are a few tangles, I lightly spray the nape with the 100% silicone spray. When I think it needs washing I spray all over (except the top), concentrating on the ends and let it sit overnight (although I don't know if that's necessary), Then the next day a quick bath in the sink with the Woolite, rinse clear, then let it soak with the fabric softener for a few minutes. If you have matting I think you will need to steam first to straighten as much as possible. All of my HD wigs look nearly like new. I have an Upstage wig that's about 4 years old and it looks great!Katie
While I agree that the hair quality is not top shelf and tangles easily, I've been able to keep the ends tamed with extra product that I have on hand. I've gotten so many compliments but the real WOW factor for me and others was the color choice. Martini, 101F48T with my skin tone was a surprise hit. Very Striking! I originally purchased this from a different site with a great discount but I am returning to Vogue to purchase another one. This is my favorite site to "window" shop so I do frequently support the website. I knocked off a star because, for me, the hair quality is average but the price is top dollar so not a great value per dollar. The cap is true to size, very light and comfortable. Styling is simple and flexible but need to use product to keep things under control. (leave in conditioner, argon oil, moisturizing cream and even a touch of fabric softener because the hair is synthetic material. No harm to the hair and it looks and smells wonderful 🙂 but it is work)! LOVE my color choice! I was looking for a grey that didn't seem "grey" in the standard sense and this color hit the mark. My advice is yes, I recommend this hair but with caveats regarding the efforts to maintain it. The payoff is the styling options and various looks, from under curl, flip, pony tail…etc.Angela M.
Just got this in shaded praline. It’s really gorgeous. This is an incredibly versatile style, so much can be done with it. It’s my first one, so i was pleased that the sides or top can be clipped back, it can be braided, i think it’s even just long enuff for a french braid.. Seems like a good way to desensitize me and everyone else to seeing me in it. I have a funny shaped head, with the circumference being average at 22, but ear to ear and nape to forehead, I’m petite. But this piece seemed like It fit just fine although I’ll probably use It Stays! Adhesive for confidence. Nylon caps and even The Hair Grip slide right off my head the moment I look up or around due to the odd shape of my skull i suppose. I may even use bobby pins or snap clips, since i do have hair to latch those on to. This piece is very high quality and feels, moves great. Buy with confidence, it’s a keeper and seems great for any face shape. If you want versatility… this is the one. The first one i bought didnt look right on me, so i sent it back and got this one.DK

This is the 6th "Naomi" wig I've purchased! This style has a bit of length on the back around the neck which caused frizz for me. To extend the longevity of the wig, I began clipping the lowest level of hair in some cute rolls that got the hair off my neck (due to scarves, sweaters, neck oils, etc.). That made all the difference! I can now use a wig for a longer period of time, and can always unpin the curls which gives a different look. Plus, in warm or hot weather the wig is a bit cooler to wear.
So many compliments on this one! Everyone loves it! Colors FS27, 6F27, 24BT18S8, 4/27/30 are gorgeous! My fav is FS27 – this is a natural medium red-brown with strawberry blonde highlights that looks so beautiful on any skin tone! I love the mono top and lace front! You can easily style this one too! LOVE the cut. Love the modern short shag, she's sassy! Pros Lace Front, gorgeous color FS27, Mono top, great cut and style, very natural looking beautiful hair fibers, great movement, heat resistant hair fiber so you can style differently if you want Cons A little dry, but conditioner helps

When I saw a picture of this wig, I thought to myself "finally!" This is the style I have been looking for for a while, short, straight, not too much hair, an Ignite but with a longer back. Unfortunately, this wig has a very small cap. It cannot possibly be average size. Average size fits usually lose on my head and this wig I could barely squeeze on. Secondly, it has no lace front. I am too used by now to wearing a lace front monofilament to feel comfortable wearing a wig without. I guess this is what you get for the price. The color and the fibers were great, but I had to return mainly because the cap was far too small.Mimi
The biggest problem I found with this wig was the fit. Average was too big, but petite felt too small. I have a Goldilocks size head and I found the ear tabs on the petite were way too high on my temples, but the front and back fit ok. I bought it on sale and thought I would take a risk even if it wasn’t perfect (and it’s not). The hair itself is good quality and appears to be well made and the style is very cute. I only wish there was a better way to buy wigs other than to pay upfront for an online item, only to find out it’s not quite right. It seems if you can try on hairstyles virtually, there should be a way to try on wigs virtually. If you could upload a photo or enter the dimensions of your head and then try on virtually, you can get an idea of where the ear tabs will fall, for example or how long the bangs will be. It would save a lot of time and money on returns. Eventually, someone will invent it, but until then, buying wigs online is a crapshoot. I prefer to buy locally, however most wig shops don’t carry a very large variety and if you buy the same wig through a wig shop, it will cost double.Vee B.
-1 star for how easily it tangles and sheds; I recommend wearing the hair down over updos because of it -1 star for how chunky highlights are at the part which are unconcealable +1 star for cap and hairline In my pics, I have not plucked the hairline, but I have straightened the wig and rearranged the part. The cap on this wig is definitely better quality than my cheaper amazon wigs (I like that it has velcro straps), but the hair itself both tangles and comes out more easily than my cheapy $30-50 wigs, which is unfortunate. I'd recommend not even bothering to try to do a half updo with this wig, which I'm personally disappointed by but that's okay, it looks good down. The lace came pre-cut, not sure if it was supposed to, but it fits perfectly and blends right into my pale skin, which is great. Hairline is great, pretty natural looking. I ordered the color FS4/33/30A Midnight Cocoa – the highlights are so chunky right up into the part (see pics). Doesn't matter which way you part it, you have giant stripes in your hair with this color (not too noticeable from straight on or from the side but I disapprove still haha). So I would NOT recommend the colors with highlights like this one, just get a solid color. So overall, I wish I got a different color, but that's on me. It's otherwise a pretty good wig and I would recommend it.Aubrey H.

I LOVE this wig! It raised my confidence post chemo. The part looks so natural. It was not hot or itchy.Kim C.
Love this beautiful wig , with great movement. ! I ordered it in the color- Shaded Pralines and Cream. The lace front is so nice and hand tied caps are a dream to wear. I wish Jon Renau would weave some lighter color with the dark hairline, having said that it’s still a beautiful!Cynthia T.
Love the "Elizabeth" by Jon Renau! I have received so many compliments on my new hair style! A lot of people do not realize it is a wig! For me, I've always had highlights and it was a disappointment for me to try wigs on that didn't have the highlight effect, but This piece is very nice and natural looking!

After a hysterectomy & menopause that followed resulting in 1/4 of my hair gradually thinning and trying every supplement including PRP treatments I realized preserving the hair I had was the focus, since after 5yrs and thousands of dollars later, the hair that had thinned was not going to grow back. I work in the medical field, at an Oncology / Bone Marrow Transplant Center so the topic of wigs is something I'm very familiar with. Many of the patients I work with rave about Jon Ranau wigs so I figured I'd give that brand a try. I've purchased a couple so far to ensure I have a new backup always on hand and plan to venture into other styles & colors but so far I'm extremely pleased with the quality of the cap/top & synthetic hair, style & color and it's so easy to maintain!
The wig was already thinning in the front when I got it and I can't hide this with bio hair because the lace is too long (can't cut the lace because it is the only thing gripping the front, there are no clips). I don't recommend this piece for people with small/low foreheads, maybe if you are completely bald with no bio hair it might work for you but not if you have pale skin because the knots are very dark and the lace is tan. I tried to straighten the hair on low heat and it made a melting smell, I question if all the hair is real. The cap is also extremely itchy and the lace is not soft (because the lace grips) so it is uncomfortable when it sits on my forehead. I would need to sew in clips and then seal off the lace so it doesn't unravel when trimmed, but for $2000 I would expect this to be of better quality. I own many wigs and hair toppers, I am always disappointed in Jon Renau but I took a risk because I liked the color. The Jon Renau brand is not carried much anymore because their pieces are just not worth the price. I am just going to have to stick with Uniwigs because at least I know what to expect and they are keeping up with the trends for comfort and affordability.LS
The hair piece is nicely made and the color was spot-on. I really, really wanted to like this wig. My overall problem was the style… and was in a few of the reviews I had read prior. The front part was over bearing and so much so that it wouldn't stay out of my face…. almost like there was too much hair. While I didn't try to style the piece or trim to see if that would make a difference (didn't want to do anything in case I returned, which I did), so it's possible I could have made it work. But I just couldn't get past the front portion of the wig and all the volume; I couldn't figure out what to do with it! I am not new to hair pieces, wigs and extension pony-tails so I am aware that some effort is-or-might be necessary, etc., but it simply just looked fake on me. I only deducted 1 Star because it might have been fixable but $300.++ I didn't want to take that chance so I returned. But overall, the wig is pretty and the cap is comfy. Good luck!Susie

This was my third purchase of Top Wave. I was extremely happy with my first piece in Caramel Ribbon. My second was in Toffee Truffle. While the color is rich and beautiful, the texture was far different than the previous piece. Caramel Ribbon is silky with a natural glossy sheen. Truffle is a bit matte and actually very frizzy and puffy. I was worried that they had changed the fibers but I took a chance and re-ordered Top Wave in Caramel Ribbon. I'm pleased to report that she is soft and silky and just what I wanted. Great coverage and natural appearance. I use both pieces still. I save the puffy look for the weekend and stick with smooth and silky for the work week. I get lots of compliments from friends and strangers alike.Rosalie T.
I’ve been eager to a topper and I’m happy this is my first one. The shipping process was so easy, it arrived quickly. I was nervous about guessing on the color but it blends really well, even with some of my bio hair highlights. I wore it outside for the first time today and was nervous about people noticing. I stopped at a wig shop to buy a stand and some supplies and the clerk was surprised that it wasn’t my real hair, she didn’t have much experience with synthetic toppers. I will say, the volume on top takes awhile to get used to. I also pinned some of the curls back to adjust the volume. Dry shampoo works great to tone down the shine. Nine hours later and it still feels good, I barely notice it. I’m wearing 12/30 Rootbeer float.Lisa
I purchased the Salted Carmel with a slightly darker root color, and after putting in just a few highlights in my own hair and trimming the ends of the topper at home, it blended very well. I bought the same color in a straight texture so that I can change up my look. I would recommend this topper. I'm not really loosing hair, but never cared for the way my part looked. Using a topper makes it so much faster and easier to get ready for work in the morning and with less stress on my natural hair as I don't have to do as much to it. The salted carmel is not as red as the little sample square appears to show on the websites, which was good for me. I have warm tones in my hair, but not outright red.Penny P.
