Color was perfect and I’ve had many compliments. Nice quality and cap size fits me really well. I have a smaller head but this avg cap fits great. Only complaint is that there seem to be a lot of shorter hairs sticking up at the crown. I’ve tried to mouse them down to no avail. I hope washing and conditioning will calm it down. I was thrilled to receive the Camila style in my most perfect shade. This auburn is the exact shade of my bio hair. That is why I gave her three stars. I am very disappointed to have to start my search all over because Camila's lace is extremely scratchy on my size 22 head. She felt so tight and painful I had to take her off immediately. The lace hurt my skin while the fit gave me a headache just from trying her on. In my opinion this would work best on a smaller size head. I have tried many other average size wigs in my search for my perfect piece and not one was as ill-fitting as this one. I really hope the manufacturer changes the lace they use for this piece. I have purchased inexpensive wigs for custome parties that had better quality lace. I also did not like the way the hair itself felt. It was not as soft as many of the other styles I have tried are. I am not sure if maybe I recieved a defective piece. As I started my wig journey I purchased a few inexpensive pieces that had much softer fibers. It truly saddens me to give such a harsh review to such a pretty style and not be able to wear her! I will be returning her. Unfortunately now I am weary of ordering another piece from this brand.
This is to correct the review I just did on 2/02/22. I didn't click on the five stars so I don't know how that happened! It took putting clips on the bangs for a couple of weeks with some product before they started to respond. The top is flat with no movement and so far I haven't had much luck trying to get some separation or movement in it. The blonde color is perfect! 22-1001-R8. The back is also cute but if I can't do anything with the top, it will be a loss. This is not a heat defiant fiber but if anyone can tell me how to get some shape and movement on the top, so it isn't completely flat, I think it would be a really cute wig on. Purchased in the ginger brown. To me it mostly looks like a medium brown and I don’t see much ginger. I do want to say that for a basic Wig, this is very realistic and natural in both look and feel. It is the perfect shortcut that you wish your natural hair would always do. Bouncy, layered, stacked, with a perfect shape that stays in place. The description states "Headband" while in actuality it's a scarf. It also has two combs (one in front, one in back) to attach the wig to the hair on your head. I have no hair. I would not have purchased this style had I known the correct specifications. Since I read the reviews about the poor customer service when requesting a refund I found a way to secure the wig to my bald head. I scarf tie is cumbersome. I thought it a stretched band and not a long loose tie. I love the braids but I don't care for the tie thing. If you were going to design it to tie consider the length.It's not long enough to wrap around and come back to the front. So there is a lot of the tie hanging down in the back. I adore Voltage! I first got her in SS11/29 Shaded Nutmeg, but I have warm olive (green) skin, and the overall reddish tone of the wig clashes, so I almost never wear her. I would highly recommend VogueWigs for both their excellent customer service, and in particular, the Raquel Welch Voltage and Sparkle style wigs. This is the beginning of my journey so my issues may be just that I am starting this journey kicking and screaming. I know all the YouTube reviewers say this is wonderful and fun but it isn't what I want to do – I wish my bio hair looked like this wig. It is lovely – soft and flattering for probably anyone. However, I may still return, I have tried in on for a bit several days in a row, still not sure. These may be things I just have to live with now that I have to do this to have normal 'hair'. 1.) Lace front – if I do keep this one, I will NEVER buy a lace front again. Unfortunately, it is very hard to find a nice, well made hairpiece without it because everyone else seems to love lace front – NOT ME. I don't like that you cannot pull your bio hair out from under (I know that it is great if you have no hair, but I have plenty around my face and would like to incorporate – Sincerely Yours by RW was perfect but too short). And though it DOES look very nice (I really didn't think it would look so realistic, it truly looks like a real hairline up close), it is HORRIBLY itchy. Like stiff, itchy netting and I can't wait to take it off. Maybe if I try gluing it won't itch so much? 2. I TOO much hair, as with most all of the hair pieces. While I can make this one work because it thankfully isn't LOADED up with that fake feeling/looking permatease (I know some people love it, I do NOT on me), it is still GOBS of hair. I push my hair behind my ears and I would have to have massive ears to fit the gobs falling in front of my face behind my ear; it is like trying to tuck a large rope behind my ear. Not sure why manufacturers think someone who has had hair loss or very thin hair all of the sudden will feel comfortable with a wooly mammoth strapped tightly to their raw noggin. Again, this one could be okay because I could take thinning shears to it and make it work if I keep this wig. 3. Speaking of the front bit… as other reviewers remarked, OMG does it want to go in your face. I don't want to use any product or heat on it yet because I am not sure I am keeping it so VERY difficult to tell if it will work because that is absolutely a problem. Would probably have to thin and cut that into layers – it is very pretty but no one goes around with a big chunk of hair hanging down like that all day. All of the hair on the cap is geared to go absolutely FORWARD, not sure why. It is something that would have to be worked out with heat, water and product. 4. Cap construction – Not super comfortable. Again, this is all new to me so maybe I am doing something wrong. I am using a wig grip so not sure if that adds to my discomfort. I will say that the seams around the mono part are thick and itchy. I would rather a whole mono top or a basic cap, rather than that seamed bit. Too much going on in the cap. So – if you are a regular wig wearer, this style will probably work for you; I am just not use to all these itches and things going on my head. Sort of like a pretty but uncomfortable underwire bra – you can deal but can't wait to get it off at the end of the day – that is how it feels for me. If this had the cap of the Sincerely Yours, I would have found my piece. Again, not sure if I am returning or not, but it is so expensive for me, for them not to be spot on. I need something that looks like ME and I can wear every day and it looks like normal, non-poufy, non-shiny hair and isn't going to rub my ear or itch my head, etc. I am probably hoping for too much. 🙁LJT
Cap is so comfortable. I had to cut on the bangs a little because they went directly into my eyes. However! The color more than made up for it. I‘m a huge Raquel Welch wigs fan, it’s my favorite brand. And I had my eyes on this style for a while and think the stock photo looks fabulous. But it’s my first and last style in regular synthetic. I love the True2Life HD fibers by Raquel Welch, they look and feel like human hair. But these are just extremely shiny and it has a lot of hair! The color Glazed Sand is really nice and the lace front on this style is impeccable, and as this was my first unrooted color, it’s even better and more undetectable than the rooted colors. Getting our wig ready for our Bob Ross costume. The wig is good for the cost a little thin and shedding some strands as we pulled it out of the package. The mustace/beard was definitely small and the mouth opening was almost mad for a child. Also the sticky part came off with the paper so we had to find a new way to stick it on. I have always worn a 27 piece in honey blonde or Platium champagne blonde. This fall November 2014 I decided not to wear a 27 peice and just let my hair grow especially on the sides because it seamed as if I was going bald on the sides and my hairdresser was Bald on the sides. When I purchased Joy, the only pictures posted were of the model dressed in white. After writing my previous comment shown below, I noticed new pictures of the wig with a model dressed in black. Interestingly enough, the long fringe in the back was cut off for these newer photos, which makes the actual wig, in my opinion, look more flattering. Many of my Ellen Wille wigs I can wear right out of the box and others I need to take to my hairdresser for a trim. I have to wear wigs. Every day. As a long-time purchaser from this website (mostly Ellen Wille wigs) I understand that the same wig often looks different on each person (Melinda looks great by the way! 🙂 and I am normally pleased with my Ellen Wille purchases and give great reviews – but I do think these photos do not show the wig how it really is – at least the one sent to me and I returned.Nora
I'm hooked on Ellen Wille's Hair Society collection. I got Joy in chocolate mix, my favorite color. The fibers are soft and totally lifelike. The density is natural. It required no thinning at all. The hand tied cap gives such natural movement to the fibers, and the lace front gives such a realistic hairline that no one could possibly guess it's a wig. The petite/average caps fit me perfectly. The style is lovely; it's not overly hi fashion, but not mundane average. Instead I find her Hair Society line to be classics with an updated twist. Ellen Wille has given me the hair I wish I had all my life. I am completely comfortable in her wigs and wear them from morning until bedtime. I only wish Ms Wille would provide a more expansive color selection. Otherwise I'm completely happy with her wigs.Valerie
this very attractive fits wig very well, there is plenty of room but not excessively so. I have a large head and am very pleased by how comfortable it is. The dark roots and color variation is great and adds a little excitement. I'm 80 years old and feel and look much younger. Having nice hair certainly helps.
