I would not have purchased this style had I known the correct specifications. I scarf tie is cumbersome. I thought it a stretched band and not a long loose tie. I love the braids but I don't care for the tie thing. I was so excited to receive this and try something new. I've been wearing Reese and Sky for a few years now, but wanted to switch it up a bit. I was so disappointed when I saw this. First, it looked like doll hair and the color was AWFUL! I normally wear either Irish Spice or Bronzed Brown. I ordered R3025S+ this time for a "highlighted" look, boy was I wrong. It looked like carrot orange. Well, lesson learned, stick with old faithful.Catherine I.
I loved the look of this wig but was hesitant to buy because of all of the bad reviews. There really are no wigs that look great right out of the box. All wigs need some sort of help. Here’s what I recommend when getting a new wig: take it out of the box and give it a good shake. Put it on and adjust the fit, ear tabs, and general placement. Finger comb it into place and then walk away. Stay away from any mirrors for at least 30 minutes or longer and don’t mess with it. This is important because when you do look in the mirror again you have “fresh eyes”. It will be easier to be more objective and not just reactive. At this point you can focus on what you do and don’t like and determine if the don’t likes are ‘fixable’. Change the part if needed, if there is too much poof, wet it down and finger comb. Don’t do any permanent modifications until you decide if you want to keep it. But give yourself time to evaluate the wig properly. For this wig, I wet the top, used my fingers to make a deep side part sweeping the bangs across my forehead and flattened down some of the poofiness on the top then left it alone to dry. I am 68 and have been wearing wigs pixie wigs for many years, but want a new wig with a little more fullness. I absolutely love this new wig and would recommend it to anyone. Unlike many of the other wigs that do not even resemble the pictures of the wig they purchased, this one looks exactly like the pictures on QVC. I only have one small complaint. The Med Red/Ginger is NOT red. It is more like a light brown with a little bit of red in it. When I received her she was soft about a half inch of lace front and a half an inch lace part. The first day I wore it, it had was a bit tangled. (But I did put of lot of stiffening products to be fair) I put the ends of the hair in boiling hot water with leave in conditioner to soften the ends worked well. She lays very flat and melts well. She sheds when combing through but usually not while wearing. She frizzes but I just put a tiny drop of oil on the ends. The color was amazing I have neon orange. She’s a steal! This wig is so cheaply made I can't believe it. First, I have a small head and the wig just does not fit. The ear tabs don't stay even if you use bobby pins, they will be up to the middle of your head. Second, the hair is thinner than my hair in the back. If the wind blew it around people would see the elastic the hair (what little there is) is attached to. Third, there was not a receipt anywhere in or on the box so to return it I have to log onto my computer and print one, I have not looked yet but I assume I can still do that. What about people that do not have computers or printers, you can try to call customer service but I was on hold for almost 2 hours and still just music!! Unless you want to place an order forget talking to QVC. I have read other reviews about not reaching anyone, come on QVC you are better than this. This was probably a cute wig but the sizing tags were unusable so I could not fit the wig to my head. I took it to my hair dresser who advised me that in addition to the sizing problems, the wig I received had been improperly styled as the right side of the rear behind my right ear was nearly cut off as was the left front in front of my left ear. It had been altered or this is a manufacturing defect. Since she could not re place the "hair" that had been removed before it was sent to me, she could not style it or fix the issues. She also told me it was shedding was so badly that she would recommend NEVER washing it and treating it as a costume wig (expect one or two wearings) rather than a real wig that one could wash and wear multiple times. I spent a lot of time trying to reach someone in customer service which apparently QVC no longer offers and will be sending this wig back as DEFECTIVE and MIS-DESCRIBED. QVC did not advise me it was sending a used or returned wig. QVC quality control did not catch an obviously defective wig before sending it to ano9ther customer. I have always worn a 27 piece in honey blonde or Platium champagne blonde. This fall November 2014 I decided not to wear a 27 peice and just let my hair grow especially on the sides because it seamed as if I was going bald on the sides and my hairdresser was Bald on the sides. I always purchased lace fronts for the cold months and wore a S427 or P427. I always loved the Mohawk way you can jazz it up and it always look SHARP! When I found this wig I was just worrying about the color because Black just drowns me out. I purchased the Sunkissed and Believe me I got the shock of my Life with the wig. WOW! This is the BOMB! I wore this in January 2015. I was stop by every one who seen it. I receive so many Compliments! The Color is to Die for. I will order another one the same Color. Vanessa this is 1 great Style! It's not plain or have a Bang and I am glade it's not Ombr??! That would take the flame from the Fire. We need more wigs like this,the others are just Too Boring! I bought this wig yesterday to wear on my wedding day. (Yeah, I have hair, but who bothers????). This wig is absolutely gorgeous and I am sure those that don't know it's not mine will be able to tell the difference. I have several Vanessa wigs and people often stop me on the street to ask what hairdresser I go to. When I tell them it's a wig they are flabbergasted!
