After a hysterectomy & menopause that followed resulting in 1/4 of my hair gradually thinning and trying every supplement including PRP treatments I realized preserving the hair I had was the focus, since after 5yrs and thousands of dollars later, the hair that had thinned was not going to grow back. I work in the medical field, at an Oncology / Bone Marrow Transplant Center so the topic of wigs is something I'm very familiar with. Many of the patients I work with rave about Jon Ranau wigs so I figured I'd give that brand a try. I've purchased a couple so far to ensure I have a new backup always on hand and plan to venture into other styles & colors but so far I'm extremely pleased with the quality of the cap/top & synthetic hair, style & color and it's so easy to maintain!

The wig was already thinning in the front when I got it and I can't hide this with bio hair because the lace is too long (can't cut the lace because it is the only thing gripping the front, there are no clips). I don't recommend this piece for people with small/low foreheads, maybe if you are completely bald with no bio hair it might work for you but not if you have pale skin because the knots are very dark and the lace is tan. I tried to straighten the hair on low heat and it made a melting smell, I question if all the hair is real. The cap is also extremely itchy and the lace is not soft (because the lace grips) so it is uncomfortable when it sits on my forehead. I would need to sew in clips and then seal off the lace so it doesn't unravel when trimmed, but for $2000 I would expect this to be of better quality. I own many wigs and hair toppers, I am always disappointed in Jon Renau but I took a risk because I liked the color. The Jon Renau brand is not carried much anymore because their pieces are just not worth the price. I am just going to have to stick with Uniwigs because at least I know what to expect and they are keeping up with the trends for comfort and affordability.LS

The hair piece is nicely made and the color was spot-on. I really, really wanted to like this wig. My overall problem was the style… and was in a few of the reviews I had read prior. The front part was over bearing and so much so that it wouldn't stay out of my face…. almost like there was too much hair. While I didn't try to style the piece or trim to see if that would make a difference (didn't want to do anything in case I returned, which I did), so it's possible I could have made it work. But I just couldn't get past the front portion of the wig and all the volume; I couldn't figure out what to do with it! I am not new to hair pieces, wigs and extension pony-tails so I am aware that some effort is-or-might be necessary, etc., but it simply just looked fake on me. I only deducted 1 Star because it might have been fixable but $300.++ I didn't want to take that chance so I returned. But overall, the wig is pretty and the cap is comfy. Good luck!Susie

Priced at 25 quid, I assumed this might be better quality than the similar ones on offer for 6 or 7 quid, but this isn't. There's quite a bald patch right on the top. If I had time, I'd re-wrap it & post it back, but that's hardly "essential shopping" in lockdown.nick_harford

The wig was great quality. Very hot to wear as expected. The back part of the wig was chunky and did not fit the nape of the neck , making it oh so itchy. We'll worth it for the look though.Mia L.

I was extremely happy with this wig. It fits really well and you dont even need a wig cap unless I think you have very long or thick hair. It has lovely, long thick curls and definitely gives an authentic Amy look. So very happy with this product.kalmar84

I needed this wig for my Casey Becker costume and was so excited when I found it in the store. I took it home and the problem began when I took it out of the packaging. The way it was packaged it was like folded in half and been in the bag for I don't know how long, so there were some folded/bent edges. I combed it out hoping they would straighten out, but sadly they didn't. I tried everything and after hours of combing this wig the edges were still messed up, they only straightened out slightly. SO if you have the time, patience and or equipment then go ahead and by this wig, because yes it is super cute and perfect for halloween.Bre
