Wow! I bought this costume last year and realized it was completely inappropriate and problematic. The Day of the Dead is a historically significant holiday in Mexico. Wearing this costume exploited elements of that culture without actually acknowledging its history and its rich meaning. This costume reduces a complex tradition into a flimsy outfit for one-time use. It's amazing how it fits but of course the long pieces on the sides are rather short and you get two long strands of hair in the front. When I received my costume, I was more than happy. At first, I was a bit skeptical because of a review that I read on Amazon. The reviewer said "the material was see-through". I can only assume that she was talking about the cape, which it is. And it looks great. The dress also fit true to size. The only alteration I had to make was pin the straps to make them shorter. If you are planning on being Miss Argentina from Beetlejuice and don't want to make the costume yourself, I highly recommend this costume. I plan on using this costume for many years to come, as it was a hit everywhere I went!Cara

I took this picture as soon as I got the costume out of the package- not the finished look 😉 This fits great! I am 5'10 and usually a size 2-4 in dresses so I got a small. It does have some stretch but not much. I was planning on making this costume myself but this is a great quick version of Miss Argentina. The sash says Miss Receptionist, and it is small and not of quality, but I bought a sash from a different retailer and wrote MISS ARGENTINA on it which I prefer. Love how the cape is attached to the dress. Overall, I'm happy.Anonymous
