This was the most awful low quality wig I every purchased. This use to be a great company back in the days and I was hoping it was still good. I had blond balayage done to my hair and that damaged it. I read the reviews about this product, most good and a mixture of bad. When I saw the bad reviews talking about hair snapping off, I thought it was just due to the persons hair being so damaged and thought I'd give it a try. Well my hair started snapping off, every single day, some pieces long and ranging to tiny specks of hair. I have had my hair damaged horribly in the past to the point it took forever to dry and leaving burnt coarse ends. My hair did have a few areas of burnt ends but not as severe as previous experiences. So I kept using the treatment products and it kept raining pieces of my hair throughout the day. I've never had this happen even with extremely damaged hair. Sure pieces broke off but nothing like this. When the pieces snapped initially I thought it was due to the damaged ends. But then it never stopped. Smooth bits about a quarter inch kept shedding off. I couldn't wear dark shirts without constantly wiping hair bits off of it. After about a month I believed the reviews and stopped using the products. My hair slowly started snapping off less and less but I'm not sure if it was because the majority was already gone. So now my hair is varied lengths and extremely thinned out due to the different lengths it broke off. I'm not saying this product isn't good or bad because a lot of people love it but I strongly suggest not using this product if you have bleach damage without consulting your hair stylist first or having a treatment of some type done professionally. Before getting my hair to the shade it is now, I had several appointments slowly lightening my hair over roughly 6 months with hair treatments in between to maintain the health. I will never use this product again. And the snapping people comment about is real and with extreme hair thinning.Lisa R
I was someone who used to think that nothing could actually repair the bonds of your hair from the inside, especially because it went against everything I ever learned in cosmetology school, but that was 30 years ago and technology has changed, the proof is in the chemistry. I completely clarified my hair and then started using only Olaplex products exclusively. I used the entire line as recommended for damaged hair for 4 months, including number one in my hair color touch ups, and now I am a firm believer that it really does repair bonds as they claim because there is no other explanation for the positive change in my mid back length, color treated, and highlighted hair. I went from dull hair that was always tangled and broke so easily, to much healthier, shiny, soft, full hair. Despite having a lot of hair, it's very fine and before Olaplex, I could never achieve fullness without using a ton of product which was counterproductive. Usually conditioners, treatments, and masks, would weigh my hair down, but not Olaplex, it gives me the natural fullness I want without any styling product or weighing my hair down. And their purple shampoo, I can't say enough good things about it either! It is super concentrated so you need only the tiniest bit for the best results and the fact that the other products help color last longer, you don't need to use it as often as other toning shampoos, but when they say leave it on no more than two minutes, they mean it! If you use too much or leave it in too long, it will tint your hair rather than just tone it. The only Olaplaex product I don't use is the oil. Other than that, they would have to pry Olaplex from my hands. I highly recommend the entire line and starting with completely clarified hair prior to starting and use Olaplex exclusively for a few months to achieve the best results. So, I decided to take the plunge and see if the rumors in the form of reviews were correct. After 1-2-3 long months of hooking up with Olaplex No.3. on consistent weekly tea dates, where we played charades, sipped mimosas and shared stories of our personal hair journey's, I noticed my hair looking like a thick scrumptious meal! We were living it up to the fullest, every Friday evening. Traveling, watching the sunset, bars; there was that one magical time in The Gulf of Mexico when Ola met this handsome French foreign exchange student…anyway, let's just move on, some things are best left unsaid. Everything went out with the Gulf stream after that. I became jealous of Ola spending way too much time with Frenchy, & I began to notice his hair, it was longer & fuller, all in a span of a month. Never wore a wig before but I have to say this one looks realistic. I had to do a little adjusting o the back and the side and cut a little off the top and it looks nice. The 580 color blends in nice with my regular hair decently. I bought the wig and a week later it arrived as noted by the company. I see my girl on the weekends and fitted the wig first thing on a Monday. That following Friday night we went out to dinner and she kept looking at my head. She asked…"what did you do with your hair" and I told her I wnt to a professional stylist! She said it looked very nice. Finally at the end of the evening I confessed. I love Jon Renau synthetic pieces in the colors 6 and 8/32. I have about 8 toppers and wigs in these colors. I purchased Bryce in color 6 and the the fibers felt terribly dry, crunchy and tangled. No matter how much silicon spray I used I just could not get these fibers to become manageable. The monofilament and stitching is also different than all of my other Jon Renau pieces. The monofilament is shiny, the knots are thicker, the lace folds and bubbles. The only good thing is the cap is not as massive as some of the other more recent wigs they’ve released. I’m petite-average and I could comfortably wear this wig. I am really hesitant to try any of their new styles after this complete waste of money. It’s just a mess and unwearable. My hair has been thinning really bad on the sides and always wear my hair up, making my hair loss very visible. I don’t have money for hair implants and wanted something with immediate results and Toppiks hair building fibers was the perfect solution. It comes in a small bottle that has holes on the top, I just pour the powder into the cap and use a blush brush and brush it on the bald spots and along my hair line and it instantly looks like I have a full head of hair. I wish it came with some sort of brush but I’m sure every women has a brush they can use, I recommend a blush brush. I can’t rave about this product enough. It makes your bald spots instantly disappear and makes your hair super thick if you apply throughout the rest of your hair. This is my first time using this type of product so I really don’t have anything to compare to but there’s no need to try any other. This works great, matches my hair well, looks natural and is lightweight and doesn’t leave my hair stiff. There’s a variety of shades available to help you match your natural hair color. It’s better to match closer to your root if you normally color your hair. It’s applied by shaking it on thinning areas and then patting to disperse and distribute the fibers. It should be used on completely dry hair. I had a virus with high fever for days and about 6 weeks later, I started losing my hair by the handfuls. I lost about 60% of my hair. I had thinning throughout my entire scalp but it was especially noticeable around my temples/hairline at my forehead. I was frustrated and to the point of almost shaving my head because I was embarrassed. I wore hats and turbans to cover my balding spots. A person in my support group recommended Toppik. Aging and prescribed medications have caused my hair to thin out, leaving my scalp way too noticeable for my liking. I have tried several different products, but none were as effective or natural looking as Toppik. Application is so simple that I was able to cover the bare spots in less than a minute. The top of the container has super tiny holes, making it simple to sprinkle as little or as much product needed to camouflage the balding areas. At first I was skeptical that it would come out when I brushed my hair, but my concern was unfounded. No matter how many times I brushed my hair, Toppik remained in place.
