I've had this wig over a year now (15-16 months). I absolutely love the look but even with caring for it and brushing it daily (the days I wore it) the very back gets severely tangled. I will still wear the wig, but only if I want to be bothered with brushing longer than usual. If I wasn’t experienced in wearing wigs, this would have been a really frustrating and disappointing purchase. As soon as I took the hair out of the box, the ends seemed really tough and frizzy, to the point where the comb gets stuck. Because the quality is so poor, I ensure extremely gentle combing but somehow one of the tracks has already broken within the first 1-2 weeks. The **** are that once you tint the lace/add makeup and cut your baby hairs, the hairline blends really week and looks realistic. If you’re more of an expert at tailoring your own wigs then this isn’t too bad, but you won’t be able to wear it for too long because of the quality. I have to admit, The Sheer Drama wig that I received a couple weeks ago or less, was my first disappointment. The cap is so sheer, that you can see dark hand tied knots a lot through the top. The wig color is Platinum 101. The dark knots actually made me squeamish! They looked like it had lice throughout it!! This would be a good wig for someone who is not new to wearing wigs. Straight out of the box the wig had a strong plastic like smell. After washing the smell was much less, but still there. Hoping this will fade with time. I have a large head but took a chance and ordered this anyway (average size). It fits very comfortably. The description says ""100% hand tied"". It is not. The top half is hand tied, the bottom half is sewn wefts. The hair is thick enough to be styled in a messy updo. The hand tied knots,on the top, are not bleached. If you order a medium to dark color it shouldn't be a big problem. If you are a light color you will need to camouflage them. This is not a lace front. There is a fabric band across the hairline that will make styling challenging. This would be a very comfortable wig if you had little to no hair. If you are willing to spend time working with your wig this could be a good choice for you.Raven
This is my first wig. I did my research, and chose Sheer Drama. I lov the waves and style My hair is long but falling out. I live in South Florida so my hair does not keep any curl in the humidity . Ok I thought perfect, I’ll have a full head of wavy hair and the color is a perfect match. Sadly I have a small head and cannot keep the wig on no matter what I do. I bought a grip but no help. I returned the Malibu Waves wig because it reeked of a gasoline smell. The smell was so strong and so overwhelming that I had to open the windows to air out the room after I had removed the wig from the box and then go outside on the porch to catch my breath. I don't know if the wig had been washed in a toxic smelling chemical or if the materials used to make the wig just smelled like that. I called the company and the first customer service rep I spoke with told me I would be charged a return fee to send the wig back. I asked why I would be charged a fee to return obviously defective merchandise, and she just kept repeating that I had to pay the return fee. I then asked to speak to a manager, who was very nice and assured me that my full purchase price would be refunded when the wig was returned.Ruth
I absolutely love Malibu Waves! The color, Auburn Sugar rooted is so beautiful. I get compliments all day long. Its soft and so easy to style. Just give it a shake and run your fingers through and you're out the door. The only problem is the shipping time is so slow with Paula Young. I ordered on the 8th and didn't receive it until the 23rd. Next time I will spring for express shipping I guess.Laura
I was disappointed with my purchase of Malibu Waves. It did not look like the model pictures with curl showing on top of crown and in bang area. The curl is concentrated on the bottom of wig mostly. Their is too much hair in crown and framing the face and has little wave. I had to modify (thin) the unit quite a lot & is still too much hair to look natural. I’m still working with it but this unit will never be an easy go to out of box style. I will also have to steam the still too heavy front hairline around face to keep from flopping in face continually. This baby needs a lot of work and disappointed i paid too much & have to put so much alterations into it to get it less wiggy looking. I do however love the rooted silver color. In contrast, your Mya with loose beachy waves wig i could wear right out of the box with absolutely no work or alterations. And does not look too full, unnatural or wiggy. This style would be fabulous if you added a lace front version (BUT DON’T REPLACE) the non lace version for those of us that want the price break & comfort of a non lace. Would not repeat purchase or recommend Malibu Waves. WOULD LOVE TO SEE MYA OFFERED IN MORE COLORS & THE BEAUTIFUL ROOTED GREY.Susan

I really love this wig! The shipping was very fast and the seller communicated well. I will say that the hair came with a smell, but I washed it upon receipt and it seems to smell a bit better. It’s a nice wig. I like to leave it a little damp and spray it with Got2Be spray to keep that same look. When it dries, it gets more volume. Loved this purchase!B T.
