I ordered this wig a while back and this one didn’t lay like I remember, the one I received my first time ordering was perfect and had sort of a widows peek hairline which I feel helped it lay Better when I wore a side part. Absolutely love this wig. Its comfortable to wear for a long period of time, the texture is great so it'll blend in perfectly with your own natural hair. So far I haven't experienced any shedding or loss of hair and I always wash my units when I receive them and the curls bounced back to their amazing fluffy bouncy self. Bought this piece because of the reviews online. They were pretty spot on so far. The curls are very bouncy, pretty, and full. I have only worn her once and received lots of compliments. My only qualm is the amount of hair. I had to do a little thinning before I felt it looked good. But even though there is a lot of hair, the piece is very light weight which has been true to other reviews. I don't use the combs but it has ample head room, big head friendly; and comes with a long comb up front and a smaller one in back along with two adjustable straps, pretty standard these days. I didn't do much fluffing of the curls because one that I cut out, I pulled it loose and separated it. The bouncy curl really pulled out to a loose wave. I won't mind that after a few more wears. The color was spot on to my hair color. I bought a #2. After wearing the half wig, I wish I had gotten the full wig instead. I just think the curls, after they drop or are pulled out, will be nicer on the full wig. It was a great purchase thus far and I do recommend it especially for those that have the creativity to do many styles with a half wig. I actually purchased some #2 braid hair, braided a long section, then used it as a braided head band over the front of the piece. Hopefully I can get some good, long wear out of is but that is TBD. This is my first time ordering I live in Canada Ontario, the wig took 9 days to come ( a little over a week). It was long, loose curls and baby hair straight out the package. Fit perfectly fine on my head I fixed the straps to my liking. Unit was 13×6 parting space, lace was light. Volume of the wig wasn’t the best compared to other sensationnel wigs, felt like a synthetic wig. The colour was burgundy wine however on my dark complexion it looked more red not burgundy. My mom gave Solana to me, because she wasn’t really feeling the color on her. I think this color is called “Chocolate Flamboyage” and when I first tried her on I too wasn’t 100% in love with this color as well, and being new to wearing synthetic wigs I really didn’t know what to do with it either lol. Anywho so I trimmed the lace, plucked & parted it, and I even took a black sharpie & darkened the roots to my liking & “Walla” she’s stunning now!! Overall I love this wig! It is giving me life! I purchased this wig in a 1b and I purchased it for $79.99. #1 thing i love about this wig is that I can slap it on my head without combing it or having to style it. It does come with baby hair in the front that was too long for my liking so I had to cut it a little bit. It comes with a 4×4 swiss lace but thing i hate about that is that the parting stop short and then the sides of the wig are just clumped together without the parting space of each box braid, making it look a little wigish but of course you can hide it. Another thing about this unit is that it's braided most of the way down but then afterwards it is twisted at the ends. You can seal the ends with hot water not not required. I would give this unit 5 stars but due to how the parting stops on the side and the way the braids are clumped together, that was a little bit of a disappointment. The hair is not thick/dense enough for the top knot that the model is wearing. Cap is tight enough on my big head so no need to glue down for me. Smaller heads will need gel/glue. The baby hairs are also very long and need shaving down before tweezing. Despite the flaws I'm going to make this work. It is a beautiful unit and I'm glad I got one before they sold out. I hope to get the loc'ed version when it's restocked. This is going to be my vacation hair.

When I wear it, I honestly forget it’s a wig! It’s made with such detail as if you sat down for 6 hours to get your hair twisted! The baby hairs are perfect. I sealed the ends with hot water and always keep it lengthened on a wig head to prevent damage to the twists. I highly recommend this wig 100% and plan to purchase another in a different color. I am beyond excited and appreciative of this wig style. I have longed for braids which is not possible for me at this time. I have seen several reviews of this wig and thought I wouldn't be able to pull it off. I ordered it anyway, and I can't seem to take it off…which is unlike me, because I love to switch my wigs weekly. I love the realistic look of the wig. I ordered two of these wig styles. I wore the gray one to a mother's day brunch. As I was standing by my car, a lady called out Madia as she was passing by in her car. She thought I looked like the Tyler Perry character. I will never wear that wig again. The black one was designed with way too much hair. The hair does not fall correctly and it has too many layers. I tried it on, and it looked ridiculous. The wigs were supposed to be the exact same style, but they were not.Linda

If I wasn’t experienced in wearing wigs, this would have been a really frustrating and disappointing purchase. As soon as I took the hair out of the box, the ends seemed really tough and frizzy, to the point where the comb gets stuck. Because the quality is so poor, I ensure extremely gentle combing but somehow one of the tracks has already broken within the first 1-2 weeks. The **** are that once you tint the lace/add makeup and cut your baby hairs, the hairline blends really week and looks realistic. If you’re more of an expert at tailoring your own wigs then this isn’t too bad, but you won’t be able to wear it for too long because of the quality. If it was cheaper like the original price in the US then I don’t think I would have minded as much.Danielle C.
I am obsessed with this wig! This was my 3rd time ordering, but my first time getting a wig installed for daily wear. When I tell you!!!! It doesn’t feel heavy on my head. It’s a tad tight, BUT I think that’s because I’m not use to wearing one daily, not because of the make of the unit. After a hysterectomy & menopause that followed resulting in 1/4 of my hair gradually thinning and trying every supplement including PRP treatments I realized preserving the hair I had was the focus, since after 5yrs and thousands of dollars later, the hair that had thinned was not going to grow back. I work in the medical field, at an Oncology / Bone Marrow Transplant Center so the topic of wigs is something I'm very familiar with. Many of the patients I work with rave about Jon Ranau wigs so I figured I'd give that brand a try. I've purchased a couple so far to ensure I have a new backup always on hand and plan to venture into other styles & colors but so far I'm extremely pleased with the quality of the cap/top & synthetic hair, style & color and it's so easy to maintain!
The wig was already thinning in the front when I got it and I can't hide this with bio hair because the lace is too long (can't cut the lace because it is the only thing gripping the front, there are no clips). I don't recommend this piece for people with small/low foreheads, maybe if you are completely bald with no bio hair it might work for you but not if you have pale skin because the knots are very dark and the lace is tan. I tried to straighten the hair on low heat and it made a melting smell, I question if all the hair is real. The cap is also extremely itchy and the lace is not soft (because the lace grips) so it is uncomfortable when it sits on my forehead. I would need to sew in clips and then seal off the lace so it doesn't unravel when trimmed, but for $2000 I would expect this to be of better quality. I own many wigs and hair toppers, I am always disappointed in Jon Renau but I took a risk because I liked the color. The Jon Renau brand is not carried much anymore because their pieces are just not worth the price. I am just going to have to stick with Uniwigs because at least I know what to expect and they are keeping up with the trends for comfort and affordability.LS
The hair piece is nicely made and the color was spot-on. I really, really wanted to like this wig. My overall problem was the style… and was in a few of the reviews I had read prior. The front part was over bearing and so much so that it wouldn't stay out of my face…. almost like there was too much hair. While I didn't try to style the piece or trim to see if that would make a difference (didn't want to do anything in case I returned, which I did), so it's possible I could have made it work. But I just couldn't get past the front portion of the wig and all the volume; I couldn't figure out what to do with it! I am not new to hair pieces, wigs and extension pony-tails so I am aware that some effort is-or-might be necessary, etc., but it simply just looked fake on me. I only deducted 1 Star because it might have been fixable but $300.++ I didn't want to take that chance so I returned. But overall, the wig is pretty and the cap is comfy. Good luck!Susie
