The wig has significant permatease, but I can very easily smooth her down somewhat using just my fingers – I imagine I could get her even flatter with a good styling creme. I purchased this wig in the honey pecan. I’m a natural dark brunette plus size 23 inch head and this average fit me just fine. The cap is comfortable, natural, soft, and has a nice stretch. Rooting and highlighting is very natural spot on. To keep it out of my eyes, I just use a little clip which makes it look even cuter to put it back. This is a great wig if you want hair to stay out of your face in the summer when it’s hot or while you are busy doing things. I haven’t tried the sweet talk luxury but this one feels so nice I wouldn’t even be inclined to try unless it’s just for fun. I have worn Tony of Beverly wigs for eight years and previously ordered them from other websites, with great success and no alterations needed. My mom has ordered her wigs from Paula Young via mail for many years, so I was excited to order my first wig from Paula Young. This style, color, and price (with free shipping) were exactly what I was looking for. The order was accurate and arrived in a timely manner. The color and back of the wig are wonderful. I didn't give this wig a higher rating because it is rather thin and has too much movement on the sides and keeps falling into my eyes when I barely turn my head or there is just a hint of a breeze outside. Because of the way the wig was constructed, it took an experienced hair cutter over an hour to figure out how to trim the bangs (which were way down to the tip of my nose).Diane
My first ever wig purchase was a bust! I was hopeful that I would love them (I bought 2) when they arrived. Very professional packaging. Once I gave the wig a little shake and let everything settle,i prepared to put on. My best friend orders your wigs all the time but hers are all a light brown or blonde and she recommended getting the “rooted” colors. Mine was flame rooted so I was expecting a deeper shade of red. This is a deep brown and black at the roots, which to me looks VERY unnatural. I’ve had auburn hair most of my life but never those kind of roots! I wanted a short wig for Summer. I chose the colour Éclair which is similar in fact to Moccachino which I know suits me. The wig is light and super comfortable. It looks identical to how my late mother used to have her hair at the same age! The éclair colour is very natural looking, just as if I had a few highlights added to my biological hair. So I actually feel very comfortable in this wig. Its light to wear in hot weather and I can mess around with the hair to create slightly different chic looks. I do actually like the Jon Renau hair itself. It stays in place when styled. It also looks slightly moisturized. It is my go to wig when the doorbell rings as I can just pop it on my head without even needing a mirror and it looks great! It is understated and natural which is the appeal of this style and colour on me. The cap feels soft on my head and not made of hard fibre like some makes of wigs. This is a good sister wig to Flip Mono by EW. Easy to wear, it just needed a little shake from the box and it is ready to go. Full mono top but no lace front. This is my first wig in Martini. My Jetabout is 24BT18 (wish it was available in shaded praline!) The length didn't suit me and so looked dated, so I had my hairdresser cut it into a better shape for me – something that could be done to extend the life of one that's been worn for awhile as well, I would think. Very happy with the outcome and hoping that Jon Renau will come out with more curly style options soon now that this one is being discontinued! (the hairline looks fantastic too – no lacefront needed here) NOTE: hair or wig cap underneath should blend to help camouflage any areas where it might show through to the cap construction.

Online reviewers seem to be avoiding this wig or making a big deal about how much permatease there is in it, so I was a little nervous about ordering it. But it turned out to look really cute on me, and I appreciate how the fullness on top balances out some of my facial features (and my large glasses), while the shag style also gives me some length in back. The melted marshmallow color looks good, too, although the pale tips aren't as obvious as they would be on a straighter, less layered style like Alva or Kai. The dark root does a good job of camouflaging the permatease at the part. The wig is also remarkably light and breathable. I think the fit is just a little on the petite side of average – I'm just over 21.5 inches in circumference with close-shaved hair, and it fits fine without taking in the adjusters. There seems to be a decent amount of stretch if you're larger than me, so it may work for someone up to 22 inches, or someone with more hair than me. I should note that Storm wasn't a true "shake & go" wig out of the box. The ends in back weren't always as flippy as the photos showed, and some of the bangs stuck straight out in front, even after misting with water. I used a steamer on the bangs to get them to lie where I wanted them and will eventually work on the flipped ends in back. I'd be more annoyed at this if I'd paid a lot more money, but I'm willing to accept a certain amount of work on my part for a basic cap at an affordable price point. All in all, I'm quite happy with my purchase, and I would encourage others who may be curious about this wig to check it out. Just be aware that it might not be perfect right out of the box and may need some work to look its best on you (work that should only be performed *after* you've determined you want to keep the wig).Patricia L.
I love this wig. It has great movement in the hair, very realistic. It is comfortable to wear. I can be a tough fit – need the average circumference but some wigs have too much gaping in the back of my head. This one isn't too bad, fits fairly well. The color is fabulous and I have gotten so many compliments on it. The length is perfect. I prefer myself with bangs and this one just meets all the criteria for me. I ordered this in creamy toffee rooted after having it in mochachino. Somehow it looked better in the darker color. It's a beautiful wig if you can pin down the sides near the top, reducing the retro looking volume. I think this style is best suited for someone more statuesque. It's cute but it looks dated on me. Possibly just too young of a look at this point. The creamy toffee color though was very nice on this style, a little less gold with more light blonde running through it. The color Silver Stone for the 'Pam' Noriko was simply beautiful, the hair was soft and the style was great with two exceptions. There was an overabundance of permatease at the front hairline; that should have been at the crown. I have had my High Impact wig in Silvery Moon color for about 10 months. I have about 4 wigs I alternate with, and so this wig still looks nice. I had to thin the crown a little, but I do have a narrow face, and so I almost always have to thin my wigs. This wig can be pulled back at the sides with barrettes as long as I can pull a little of my own remaining bio hair out and comb it to blend with the sides of the wig. I also have one in LIght Grey, and that it beautiful, too.
While I feel this wig is too glamorous for me, I don't care! ha. It is a gorgeous blend of white, grey and pale gold, and I always feel that the color compliments my skin. It fits me well, and although the bangs are a little long, I will keep playing with it until I can get them to stay off my face.Andie
This 'large' size was actually too big for me sometimes I find the 'regular' a bit snug but I have made do with it. I keep my hair quite short but this would probably work with someone who has longer natural hair to tuck in. The wig unlike the other comment did not have too much lace in front on the one I ordered. I did keep it and am making do with the size but I did really like the curls on this one. If you think you are interested in the style I would try this one out. When I received the curls were great and the style is cute. I'm going to try again with the 'average' size and see how it goes. The color was a bit lighter than I expected (GL 8/10) but I liked it. We'll see how #2 does. I do agree the monofilament part is not as visible as it is on other wigs but again not a big deal to me.Kaelie

Online reviewers seem to be avoiding this wig or making a big deal about how much permatease there is in it, so I was a little nervous about ordering it. But it turned out to look really cute on me, and I appreciate how the fullness on top balances out some of my facial features (and my large glasses), while the shag style also gives me some length in back. The melted marshmallow color looks good, too, although the pale tips aren't as obvious as they would be on a straighter, less layered style like Alva or Kai. The dark root does a good job of camouflaging the permatease at the part. The wig is also remarkably light and breathable. I think the fit is just a little on the petite side of average – I'm just over 21.5 inches in circumference with close-shaved hair, and it fits fine without taking in the adjusters. There seems to be a decent amount of stretch if you're larger than me, so it may work for someone up to 22 inches, or someone with more hair than me. I should note that Storm wasn't a true "shake & go" wig out of the box. The ends in back weren't always as flippy as the photos showed, and some of the bangs stuck straight out in front, even after misting with water. I used a steamer on the bangs to get them to lie where I wanted them and will eventually work on the flipped ends in back. I'd be more annoyed at this if I'd paid a lot more money, but I'm willing to accept a certain amount of work on my part for a basic cap at an affordable price point. All in all, I'm quite happy with my purchase, and I would encourage others who may be curious about this wig to check it out. Just be aware that it might not be perfect right out of the box and may need some work to look its best on you (work that should only be performed *after* you've determined you want to keep the wig).Patricia L.
I love this wig. It has great movement in the hair, very realistic. It is comfortable to wear. I can be a tough fit – need the average circumference but some wigs have too much gaping in the back of my head. This one isn't too bad, fits fairly well. The color is fabulous and I have gotten so many compliments on it. The length is perfect. I prefer myself with bangs and this one just meets all the criteria for me. Not bad for 69 on my way to 70 – wearing it makes me look, and feel, younger. I got it in Moonstone and now it seems that color doesn't exit any longer. Looks like Silverstone will be it next time.April B.
I ordered this in creamy toffee rooted after having it in mochachino. Somehow it looked better in the darker color. It's a beautiful wig if you can pin down the sides near the top, reducing the retro looking volume. I think this style is best suited for someone more statuesque. It's cute but it looks dated on me. Possibly just too young of a look at this point. The creamy toffee color though was very nice on this style, a little less gold with more light blonde running through it. That's a big improvement in the color because I've bought this color before and been disappointed with the gold.FAITH b.

Nora is a delightful fluff and go style with waves and almost curls. I got it in color 38, which is light ash brown with grey. It is supposed to be light ash brown with 25 percent grey (it seems a bit more than that;) It would be nice if Paula Young had at least one style featured in this color. The ash brown is very close to my natural color (a bit lighter) but Nora has more grey than I do personally. Nora arrived smelling absolutely wretched; I almost gagged when I opened the box. I had to wash the wig immediately. I used Paula Young shampoo. I thought I detected the (fumigant?) odor even after the wash, but when Nora dried, she no longer smelled. When I first put her on after she'd dried she was not pretty and the curls were mashed against the cap. I shook her vigorously and then took a wide tooth comb and really brought the fibers up off the cap. I wasn't rough, but I was deliberate in going over the entire wig to revive the fibers. I was able to achieve a style very similar to the catalog photo. In my photos, Nora has a more shag-like appearance, but once on she can be fluffed to the rounded silhouette of the catalog photo. Nora fits my 22.25 inch head comfortably and could be adjusted to go even a bit larger, or smaller. I find the fibers dry to the touch and just a bit coarser than my own very fine hair (although Nora's fiber does not look coarse.) Nora is comfortable to wear and an adorable style that goes with dressy as well as casual outfits. If you are prepared to spend a few moments waking Nora up after you first get her home, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at her fluff and go versatility. When this DANCE wig and COLOR ME EXQUISITE wigs arrived, upon removing them from the box they were cute, and the colors were pretty and the best thing they had going for them, However, they didn't look much like the ones the models in the pictures wore. And there is too much perma tease or "fluff" to them. They had really no style to them at all. Especially in the front, just couldn't do much with them. And didn't want to try since being careful with them is a must when trying them on. Very disappointed with these wigs. In my humble opinion they were not great and not keepers. So I am returning them and probably won't buy anymore wigs again. Sorry PY but your wigs need to be lighter weight, lay nicer, (some of us like a bit flatter style) far less perma tease or fluff, easier to wear right out of the box…Thanks anyway…Juanita
I am completely disappointed with my purchase. I ordered two of this wig because I really like the look of the style in the picture. The wigs I received will not comb into the style shown. The top is spiked and will only stand straight up and the bangs stick straight out and will not lay nicely against the forehead. I tried to tame it down with wig spray and hair gel but it won't lay down. The top hair stands straight up and the bangs stick straight out. The wig will not comb into a nice smooth pixie like the picture shows. I would not recommend a person buy this wig unless you want spiked hair that stands straight up at the top of your head and bangs that stick straight out at your forehead. The style does not resemble the picture at all !Eve

It has been over 15 years since I had a human hair wig. I tried one previously and it was I’ll fitting and looked very unnatural. This wig, however, fits comfortably (it’s honestly still slightly larger than what I’d love and I just mention that in case anyone is nervous hearing that it is more on the petite side. I wish it were more petite!). I do, however, love the amount of hair in Cascade. It’s thickness looks very natural. I’m currently in the process of having a Freedom Wig created and an thrilled to have this beautiful hair while I wait for it!Ariel H.
The fibers tangle too easily. I can't do anything without this wig tangling and matting in a weird way. It's embarrassing to me and now I have to replace it after only 2 months of wear. I've tried conditioners in hopes of coating the fibers and reducing friction, but it doesn't last even a whole day. I have been impressed with the construction of the cap. Considering I have to brush the wig out many times throughout the day, I'm surprised that the crown hasn't thinned badly. Many wigs come already too thin in the crown, but not this one. The Chocolate Mix color is nice. Other wig brands use fibers (heat friendly and otherwise) that can be smoothed every day or two with a straightener on low heat. Frizziness is not the issue with this wig. It just can't handle friction.Carrie E.
I'm a big fan of Elite, which will always be my favorite EW style. The cut on this one is great and similiar to elite but with more face framing layers in the front which very modern. The hair so silky and such a natural looking density. I'm having a hard time though with the colors. Not sure if they changed the colors but cannot find hot chocolate mix my go to for elite and few other older styles, in the newer styles. Also, the same color in different collections look somewhat different. I purchased this in dark chocolate mix and starting wearing it recently and don't see too much highlights, granted i haven't washed it yet, for some reason that makes a difference sometimes in the fiber. I have amina in the same color and although a rich brown you can see all of the highlights, this has more of a inky look, I can wear easily as my eyes are very dark and my coloring is okay with it. I definitely love this style, and will someday down the road when i can get a good deal try the chocolate shaded. This wig is a bit out of my budget so cannot buy full price at the moment.Jen G.
