Wow! I bought this costume last year and realized it was completely inappropriate and problematic. The Day of the Dead is a historically significant holiday in Mexico. Wearing this costume exploited elements of that culture without actually acknowledging its history and its rich meaning. This costume reduces a complex tradition into a flimsy outfit for one-time use. I'm giving this costume one-star because Halloween is all about having fun and enjoying ourselves-but it doesn't have to be at the expense of cultures, histories and entire traditions. If you want to celebrate the Day of the Dead I recommend learning more about it and it's meaning, instead of wearing it as a costume because you think it looks cool.Haha
Clearly, I accidently judged a book by it's cover. And I judged the photo comparing it to the actual product. It's amazing how it fits but of course the long pieces on the sides are rather short and you get two long strands of hair in the front. My daughter tried it on and it insatlty ripped she is a small 13 years old and got the xsmall. The jacket was missing and we didn’t get it. First, I bought this wig in Ice Blond. I think it's my favorite color of all my wigs. It has a beautiful lighter tone at the tips. I ended up buying a second Kai in that color because I want to wear it a lot. The style is like the one I wore with my bio hair, but super straight (and won't need the flattening my own hair did). Out of the box, it does hang a bit in my face, but I like that straight style and I can easily put a little curve in it at the part so it stays out of my face. That' s no problem. The hair texture is soft, smooth, and lovely. I think it looks very natural. The wig is fairly low density with no permatease that I could tell. I will try to take and add a photo. My wig was delivered on time and in perfect condition, brand new, with a wig grip. LOVE IT! Would buy from WigStudio1 again in a heartbeat. Bottom line, this is one of my most favorite wigs.Chloe R.
This was my second purchase of Kai. Both times I got her in melted marshmallow. The color and cut works perfect for me. I loved it the first time and wanted to get it again. However, the second time within just a week it started to stick out in the back along the nape. In fact from the first time I wore it I noticed the hair on the nape was not as good quality as the last one. I wear my wigs daily due to alopecia and I take excellent care of them. I put spray conditioner on the nape and tried that. It still sticks out. I’ve worn it not even a month and I already need a new one but can’t afford to because I only get them every 4-6 months. The part also was very dense and did not look real. I love the color and style and have gotten so many compliments but I shouldn’t have to worry about it sticking out this soon. It could be a flaw in this particular one but still I’m disappointed that I’m out over 200 dollars and will have to buy another one soon.Bethany Y.
I love this wig! The cut is super cute, and the color melted marshmallow is stunning. I was looking for a shorter wig that would not rub on my clothes and fray quickly from doing so. This wig is very light, and the density is in the medium range when compared to other wigs I have. I barely have to comb this and can use my fingers to detangle when needed, which is rare. The movement of this wig is very natural. I did find that the average cap in this style runs a little smaller than my average cap in other brands such as R. WELCH or Jon Renau wigs. Received many compliments when wearing this wig, and those that don’t know me don’t realize it is a wig unless I tell them. This wig feels very light and will be a great choice to wear in the summer as my hair will start growing back from finishing chemo.
