This is the beginning of my journey so my issues may be just that I am starting this journey kicking and screaming. I know all the YouTube reviewers say this is wonderful and fun but it isn't what I want to do – I wish my bio hair looked like this wig. It is lovely – soft and flattering for probably anyone. However, I may still return, I have tried in on for a bit several days in a row, still not sure. These may be things I just have to live with now that I have to do this to have normal 'hair'. 1.) Lace front – if I do keep this one, I will NEVER buy a lace front again. Unfortunately, it is very hard to find a nice, well made hairpiece without it because everyone else seems to love lace front – NOT ME. I don't like that you cannot pull your bio hair out from under (I know that it is great if you have no hair, but I have plenty around my face and would like to incorporate – Sincerely Yours by RW was perfect but too short). And though it DOES look very nice (I really didn't think it would look so realistic, it truly looks like a real hairline up close), it is HORRIBLY itchy. Like stiff, itchy netting and I can't wait to take it off. Maybe if I try gluing it won't itch so much? 2. I TOO much hair, as with most all of the hair pieces. While I can make this one work because it thankfully isn't LOADED up with that fake feeling/looking permatease (I know some people love it, I do NOT on me), it is still GOBS of hair. I push my hair behind my ears and I would have to have massive ears to fit the gobs falling in front of my face behind my ear; it is like trying to tuck a large rope behind my ear. Not sure why manufacturers think someone who has had hair loss or very thin hair all of the sudden will feel comfortable with a wooly mammoth strapped tightly to their raw noggin. Again, this one could be okay because I could take thinning shears to it and make it work if I keep this wig. 3. Speaking of the front bit… as other reviewers remarked, OMG does it want to go in your face. I don't want to use any product or heat on it yet because I am not sure I am keeping it so VERY difficult to tell if it will work because that is absolutely a problem. Would probably have to thin and cut that into layers – it is very pretty but no one goes around with a big chunk of hair hanging down like that all day. All of the hair on the cap is geared to go absolutely FORWARD, not sure why. It is something that would have to be worked out with heat, water and product. 4. Cap construction – Not super comfortable. Again, this is all new to me so maybe I am doing something wrong. I am using a wig grip so not sure if that adds to my discomfort. I will say that the seams around the mono part are thick and itchy. I would rather a whole mono top or a basic cap, rather than that seamed bit. Too much going on in the cap. So – if you are a regular wig wearer, this style will probably work for you; I am just not use to all these itches and things going on my head. Sort of like a pretty but uncomfortable underwire bra – you can deal but can't wait to get it off at the end of the day – that is how it feels for me. If this had the cap of the Sincerely Yours, I would have found my piece. Again, not sure if I am returning or not, but it is so expensive for me, for them not to be spot on. I need something that looks like ME and I can wear every day and it looks like normal, non-poufy, non-shiny hair and isn't going to rub my ear or itch my head, etc. I am probably hoping for too much. 🙁LJT
Cap is so comfortable. I had to cut on the bangs a little because they went directly into my eyes. However! The color more than made up for it. The eggplant shade is absolutely beautiful and perfect for the fall season! If your bio hair is or was brown and you are looking for brown yet with a twist of pow…. Choose this color! I have yet to be disappointed with the Raquel Welch brand wigs. Thank you Wigstudio1 for always getting my orders to me in such a timely manner. Makes me so happy to know an order is heading my way. I just wish I had discovered wigs many years ago when I started losing my bio hair would have saved me many tears when I was buying every product out there to get my hair back. I will try to take a pic today with the wig on and send your way! Hope you all have a very wiggy wonderful day!!!Angela H.
I‘m a huge Raquel Welch wigs fan, it’s my favorite brand. And I had my eyes on this style for a while and think the stock photo looks fabulous. But it’s my first and last style in regular synthetic. I love the True2Life HD fibers by Raquel Welch, they look and feel like human hair. But these are just extremely shiny and it has a lot of hair! The color Glazed Sand is really nice and the lace front on this style is impeccable, and as this was my first unrooted color, it’s even better and more undetectable than the rooted colors. But everyone tells me that this style looks like an old woman and I‘m just too young to look that old… 😅 Of course Wigstudio1 is not to blame, their service was first class, as always!Sarah C.

I only buy RW wigs and I wear a wig daily. This particular one was a huge disappointment. Reminded my of a lesser brand. Thin, straggly. Unfortunately I had it quite a while before pulling it out to wear. I wore it once – just could not stand it. Looked cheap and fake. So in the garbage it went – an expensive mistake on my part. I’d recommend choosing an editor pick or Embrace. This is a dud.Jll
Love the deep ruby color, but the wig I received looked nothing like everyone else’s pics and video reviews. The front hair was very heavy and I couldn’t keep it out of my face, and the front side pieces hung down much lower than I liked. Took it to my hairdresser and had those front pieces trimmed off and some long bangs cut in. Still doesn’t look as full and “beach wavy” as everyone else’s, but I’ve still enjoyed wearing it the last few weeks. Going to order another one in a different color and see if I have better luck. Love the length.Donna H.
I have been wearing wigs for most of my adult life. I’ve been wearing straight styles for many years, and loved how this wig looked when I checked online. When I got it, I thought maybe it’s too wavy for me. And after about 20 minutes of combing it out, it was just perfect for a beachy wave look. People I know are surprised that straight haired Deb now has waves . Close friends know I wear wigs and I’ve been stopped in grocery store and by the nurses in my doctors office asking how I get those “beautiful waves”. Today I’m sitting by my favorite lake, nice breeze and no concern how the breeze “messes my hair”. I will be ordering again, I love the rooted colors and at the age of 69, I’m enjoying this wig more than many I’ve had for years.Deb B.

When I first received the wig I was worried that it would be too thin. But, when I am wearing it, I find that the lower density looks extremely natural and more realistic than the overly thick human hair wigs I have had in the past. The hair is very smooth and you can run your fingers right through it. I had the Kim by Jon Reneau which has extremely sick denier. I have this bravo wig in the color R 11 S. It looks extremely realistic as though my hair had been professionally highlighted. I also find the lace front to be the best I have ever worn. The netting is so fine that I truly can barely see it. This is the first wig I have on where I do not feel the need to cut the lace. Although some may not like the thin density for the shorter length, I find it perfect for every day wear. I was looking for a wig that was short enough to be comfortably worn every day easy to tuck behind the ears, yet long enough to be pulled back out of my face. Also I would like to add that this week does not shed at all so I am expecting it to last quite a while.I gave this four stars only because I do wish there was slightly more hair in the lower back region of the cap.Patricia D.

The most natural looking wig I have ever purchased. A friend who knows I wear wigs, asked if she was seeing my bio hair. I was wearing hand tied Center Stage with the lovely lace front when she sat across from me at a restaurant that day. Nothing more needs to be written to explain the 5 stars. Center Stage has the most natural looking 'part' and believable density. I currently have this in 2 different but similar colors. I am shocked to see negative reviews. This is the third time I've purchased this wig. The first one finally wore out after 3 years of wearing it almost daily. I have male pattern baldness, so I don't have even enough hair for a topper. I wear my own hair (dyed and cut to match) down, with the wig over the top. It gives me a very natural hairline, and it keeps the wig smooth at the nape. I love this wig because it's nicely cut, right out of the box. It's also long enough to cut any way you want it. I've cut them to just below the shoulders, to leaving it the length it came. I can wear it up or down, with bangs or a side swoop. It all works. The fiber is very nice. It looks very natural–not too shiny or greasy looking, as some wigs look. The coloring is very pretty. I am able to style it with light heat and it holds the style through washings, until I style it again. If the ends get fuzzy, I wash the wig and use a flat iron at 125 while the wig is still damp, to smooth the ends. They turn out nice and smooth.
I love this wig! This is the first time that people have asked me where I get my hair highlighted because this wig looks this natural! HF fiber is my favorite but it definitely doesn't last as long. It will dry out so you have to use moisture spray on it, either the Heat Defiant Detangler or some type of watered down spray detangle product. Just spray and let dry completely before using wide tooth wig comb or wide tooth wig brush. This will help prolong life. You can also snip dry ends carefully. The lace fronts on Raquel Welch wigs are the best imo, and this one is great. This cap is well constructed and the mono top is wonderful, a must have. (I love 100% hand tied caps but the one offered in this style is a little large on me, but I do have a small head. ) The Raquel Welch Shadow Shades, SS, are the most realistic, they are gorgeous. Her caps are a bit large imo, except for the petite caps, which are perfect for me. Her hand tied caps are wonderful, but again, I'm a very petite lady and they are too large for me. I wish this style was about 7% to 10% thicker, just my opinion. This is a phenomenal wig. The cut is timeless and well done, beautiful. The flow of the hair fiber is gorgeous! Try her! You won't regret buying!!!Ilovewigs2
I so love the Spotlight in Shaded Biscuit RL19/23SS. She's a lot more platinum and less yellow than i expected, but I kept her. Its true Blondes have more fun. I've been going brunette for so long thought I'd try this. And you would not believe the response and compliments I've received on this wig in this color. I originally wanted the new Mesmerize, but at my age (56) this wig is slightly shorter and lighter weight, so an instant winner. Can you pull this off at 56 .. absolutely! Velvet temples are nice, and full lace top, can be parted on any side or middle. Super soft hair material as well.Skye G.

I have purchased this wig from you many times. It has always been my favorite and I have received many compliments when wearing it. So when the website said ‘final sale’, I wasn’t concerned because I was so familiar with this style. But when I put it on, it was not the usual fullness. The ends were so thin that they didn’t style! I called customer service and was told it is a different manufacturer and no return because it’s a final sale. Now I have to spend another $50.00 to get it cut and styles just so that it’s wearable. I am not a happy customer at all.Scherrie
I really like this Raquel upstage wig. Lots of ways to style, love the lace front, mono top and the color I chose. Shaded ice pumpkin spice. Plus it's heat friendly. I washed it once so far and put a clip on the back wig tag and hung it upside down in my shower, it dried quickly. A personal choice for me was to use got2be in the black tube to hold also a velvet wig band to prevent slippage. I would definitely buy it again, but I'm also wanting to try Untold Story by Raquel. I also like the color firey copper. Use only products made for heat friendly synthetic wigs and a round air brush on low to style. I would give 5 stars but the lace ftont doesn't lay flat without a bit of work and got2be glue.Cathy
I absolutely LOVE Upstage Petite by Rachel Welch. It is perfect right out of the box. I won't even get bangs cut in this one (and I always wear bangs – LOL). The texture is soft and the density is just right. The color is beautiful (Iced Mocha). The cap size is very small – even for a Petite. I had to loosen the straps all the way out, otherwise it was too tight. But, I do have long hair that I wear up in a mesh wig cap – so maybe it would be OK for someone with very fine short hair.Erin W.

I loved Muse when I first received it. I loved the honey pecan color, and I think Raquel Welch synthetic fiber colors are so much better than what's available in their heat friendly wigs. (The heat friendly line lacks nice light brown colors with cool highlights. There are too many red, dark roots, and bold chunky highlights.) But Muse does not look like the picture. It appears much shorter and matronly. It's a nice enough wig, but I'm not crazy about it. The wig cap was too roomy and poofed up on my heat. I then discovered that my head measurements are petite average and that Muse was probably too large for me. Since it's a hand-tied cap, there is no way to make it smaller. I kept it and wear it to do errands. The fiber is stiff and does not move as well as my recently purchased Ellen Wille wig with synthetic fiber.Janice Q.
I like my new Muse but the monofilament top is not as natural looking nor as easy to make a definite part as my other Raquel mono styles. Also, the fiber is more shiny than other RW wigs I have. On the positive side, Muse is comfortable and doesn't have too much volume which makes it look natural. I usually wear the bangs brushed back and sometimes one or both sides behind the ears. Overall I am pleased with my purchase. I really appreciate reading the reviews and have made many purchases based on comments and photos others have submitted. Thanks to my fellow Vogue customers.
Muse is the third style I tried and it’s a keeper. Required only minor trimming of the bangs to keep out of my eyes. The color matched my graying hair perfectly, couldn’t believe it. Since my own hair has been thinning on top due to aging and medication, I needed a style that looked natural without the beehive look. Very pleased with my purchase. So much so I’m going to order a second one.Lori S.
